After visiting all 99 counties in Iowa and failing to win a single one, specifically because he visited all 99 counties in Iowa, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis declared the dark, unknown and mysterious forces of universe tried to stop him, “threw everything at him,” yet he alone stands victorious.
Yeah, he actually said that.
The DeSantis campaign put most of their resources into Iowa and gained a total of 23,000 votes (roughly 21%), quickly declaring victory in a tenuous 2nd place finish and proclaiming their victory ticket has been punched. The cognitive disconnect is exceptionally strong; but hey, everyone has a role to play – right? WATCH:
IOWA – DeSantis took the stage for a few minutes at a campaign party in West Des Moines after he secured second place.
“Because of your support, in spite of all of that they threw at us, everyone against us — we’ve got our ticket punched out of Iowa,” he said.
DeSantis spent millions in the Hawkeye State, visited all 99 counties and cultivated the endorsements of popular Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds. Never Back Down, the super PAC supporting his candidacy, also spent more than nine months building a ground game and appointing 1,600 precinct captains across the state. (MORE)
Ron
its over, you are making a ASS of yourself
Time to get back to work as Governor of Florida
Ron DeSantis did so well in Iowa, now he gets to play Georgia in the Orange Bowl.
Don’t you mean Orange-Man Bowl? 😆
He might as well stay on the cam[paign, the people in Florida hate him now. Lets see if his mega donors will still throw money his way.
I live in florida and I don’t hate him
but he does need to come back
at least we’ll have Matt Gaetz for our next governor, or president of ‘free florida’
The man who gave us Johnson?
I don’t think so.
They’ve all turned around and started showering the dead-fish BirdBrain with the $$ instead.
Time to get to work on the insurance scam they’re running down here. He talks about it but nothing ever happens.
Yeah I sold off most of my residential properties in florida because the insurance and property taxes kept going up up UP! Taxes go up every year. A lot. Insurance can go up 2 or 3 times in a single year. It’s completely out of control. My warehouses everything has been staying pretty reasonable. Commercial zoning/taxes/insurance. Not seeing the huge increases on those.
The scary thing is that this guy was a good bet to be President Trumps VP not that long ago.
Never a good bet for VP.
No one in the hunt will be VP.
I’m wondering if it will be Bergum
I was wondering the same thing. Trump said something about him being part of the administration – and he toted him out twice?
Radical thought, maybe Trump should do an all state “VP lottery”, drawn from a pool of long established MAGA campaign supporters.
Because I’m willing to bet Jim Randomguy the retail logistics manager.
Brings more applicable skills. Than some closet RINO, think-tank plankton or miscellaneous political careerist.
He could have had it all in 2028 but he let the never Trumpers push him in too early
You got it right. People used to like DeSantis and if he had waited until 2028 he probably could have won. What a stupid stupid man. Big $$$ was dangled in front of his and his wife’s faces and they couldn’t wait. I’m glad he was so stupid so that we were able to figure out what kind of people they are before they won.
Absolutely NOT! What do you think would change between now and then? Four years from now, Ron will still be the petty, whiny, bullying, SMALL (as in, no character) person that he is today.
Give us a little credit for seeing that and saying “HELL NO” to it
What I meant was that if DeSantis had just been supportive of Trump and not run against him in 2024 we might have not known what an azz DeSantis is. I’m glad we know so we can not only stop him in 2024, we can stop him in 2028 as well.
After he sat on his hands while federal goons entered the residence of a private citizen in his state and let them unconstitutionally toss that citizen’s home, said not a word for two weeks, he was NEVER ever going to be material for higher office.
That was absolutely one of the top reasons people ditched DeSantis. That and just being an overall ingrate, using Trump to win his first Florida Governor term and then suddenly (when the money was dangled in front of his face) becoming cool and even antagonistic toward Trump. Plus some other stuff. And then the clincher IMO was after the raid DeSantis went on a multi-state money-grabbing tour disguised as a Trump-like rally tour to support some candidates in other states. Top Gov, America’s Governor. Puke-worthy. He will never be President, thank God.
That Top Guv ad was probably the worst political one ever created.
It was the Plan 9 From Outer Space of the genre.
Followed by the “God Created A Warrior” ad.
Delusional!
Ron is not looking forward to returning to the Sunshine State and having to dodge the ramifications of his battle with the Mouse House. His political epitaph is being drafted.
LOL, Scott Walker was not available for comment.

You MUST be this tall for this ride.
Slinks off…..puts on boots…..
Don’t know what they are paying you, Ron, but is it really worth the destruction of your credibility and reputation? Tsk…
What credibility?
Good grief. Trump is the nominee. Time to support him and try to salvage this country.
How delusional can one get?
If you have to ask, you can’t do it.
Very Delusional when millions of dollars are at stake for your war chest…..Just ask Santorum.
Wow! 1600 Precinct captains!!! And they brought an average of 14 other people with them!!
Impressive organization…..NOT!
Glad I put my money on the Eagles. They got blown out, but at least it was entertaining! LOL
As my friend Bugs Bunny would say……..What a Maroon!
1600. Lol.
That number is as scripted as everything else.
I didn’t even notice it until you mentioned it.
I live in Sioux City and got so many texts and calls from the DeSantis and Haley campaigns that I was ready to strangle them. Glad it’s over for now. Last night the energy in the room for Trump was palpable – no one spoke for Hutchinson and the pastor guy. The speaker for DeSantis kept talking about how we need to defeat the Dems in the fall, implying that DeSantis was the best guy, but couldn’t give any other reason to vote for him. The speaker for Haley just kept saying how tough she was. Applause for both was polite at best. When the speaker came on for Trump, it was clear to me that it would be a blowout. My precinct is white collar, upper middle class and if they were going for Trump, I can only imagine how the blue collar areas went. A very good night – liberal heads must be exploding so time for another lawsuit.
This could very well be why they called the race so early.
My sister retired out of Sioux City East…lives in Denver now.
lol @ “so time for another lawsuit”
Thanks for the on-the-ground report, Janet.
I too get way too many texts daily from both Ron! and the NikkiKins.
I’m in blueMA so they probably have me on a list from several decades ago, way before CTH, when I actually (hanging my head) held signs for Mittens.

Yep, you look like a liberal.
I love the graphic for Johnson County that they are declaring for Haley.. Wow! She had a whopping ONE more vote than President Trump!
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2024/01/15/us/elections/results-iowa-caucus.html
Johnson County is Iowa City, where the University of Iowa is located. It is a pretty blue area so no surprise there. Amazed they had enough Republicans to have a caucus. Also possible that some Dems registered as republicans to vote for Haley in the primary.
I’m sure your last sentence is true. Haley was instructing them to do it. It’s essentially cheating, corrupting the GOP nomination process, so I’m glad she was stuck with 3rd place overall.
“They threw everything at Ron DeSantis. They couldn’t kill him,” the DeSantis campaign said in a statement. “He is not only still standing, but he’s now earned his ticket out of Iowa. This is going to be a long battle ahead, but that is what this campaign is built for. The stakes are too high for this nation and we will not back down.”
OK, so apparently he had to win something in order to get to leave Iowa.
I still say DeSantis will drop out after a disappointing Super Tuesday to avoid the embarrassment of losing his home state to President Trump.
If he even lasts that long.
A normal person would do that. But DeSantis is being paid by big-money anti-Trump donors and he must obey their commands. I think they already gave up on DeSantis being a winner, he is now being paid to disrupt the GOP nomination process. Stupid John Kasich stayed in until May 4. (Super Tuesday was March 1 that year!). Kasich was the last loser to drop out. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if DeSantis does the same.
It’s a good thing that these threads making fun of him are not getting too old yet.
The amount of $$$, time, and effort put into IA by DeSantis for a very distant 2nd place finish is an absolute failure of a campaign. DeSantis has been rejected by voters.
Meatball is a perfect nickname
1600 precinct captains? What the
Scripted like everything else.
1600 Pennsylvania Ave
History repeats itself….
LOL! Pure perfection!
Got his doughnut punched, more like…..
(Elzie beat me to it.)
Was Christie anywhere in the neighborhood?
Kinda like Baghdad Bob reporting all is well as the Marines rolled in. Or the enemy MSM telling us about “Free and fair elections”.
But don’t get mad at the puppets because the puppet show sucks, Ron’s just doing what he’s told.
You’re right. He sold his soul after winning his first Florida Governor election and the money from the wealthy anti-Trump donors started pouring in. I’ll bet DeSantis didn’t even want to run for President in 2024 but the odor of money was too enticing to him and his “dollar store Melania” wife. Despite having been an attorney and a US Representative, DeSantis still owed money on student loans. I hope he has since paid them off. https://nypost.com/2023/07/01/new-millionaire-ron-desantis-still-owes-student-loans/
This is how professional losers talk. This is how today’s GOPe talks. Staged confidence in defeat. Grifters and political prostitutes who tell you lies, for money.
Fund them and their consultants, and they will say and do whatever you want. With a smile. And with manicured confidence.
Because DeSantis did get his “ticket punched” last night. The billionaire donors who pull his, and the GOPe’s, strings, will continue to pay him, for a little longer.
DeSantis got his ticket punched. His meal ticket. For a couple more months. He’ll keep performing his little tricks, for now. Because they paid him to do so.
Then, on to the next grift. Political harlots like DeSantis and Haley, Christie and Pence are always for sale.
If being a retail politician caused STDs, DeSantis and Haley give new meaning to the phrase, “please … clap”.
That nasally voice is really off-putting. And that call at the end to bring out “The First Lady” was appalling.
His wife must have approved that line.
The cognitive disconnect is exceptionally strong; but hey, everyone has a role to play – right?
This! Not sure what you meant by this, but I have long suspected DeSantis is playing a role. You are watching a movie. Enjoy the show.
Check the destination on that ticket, it ain’t victory.
I think the meatball got his parking garage ticket validated and became confused with all that election hoopla going on. Give him a break, he’s tired from all that tip-toeing in those boots through the snow.
Might as well have said “ass kicked.”
That’s what happens when you align yourself with the Bush Family.
Is this guy retarded?
Sorry, could not find a better fitting word…
He’s a narcissist.
The left has been creating them for years (with participation trophies and the like), which is why we now have a bunch of entitled brats who live by their own “truth.”
He’s a puppet and his donors will not let him back out, so he has to pretend like there’s a reason for him to stay in the race.
Oh man, what color is the sky in his world? That is indeed making lemonade out of this lemon of a result.
Steve Deace will be twisting himself into knots over the results on todays broadcast. On the other hand, Deace is correct that you need a Plan B if Trump ends up getting railroaded into an orange jumpsuit, and DeSantis is probably a better choice than Haley.
It’s obvious you need to stop listening to deace, whoever he is.
You have to question if DeSantis is better than Haley. I think they’re both at the bottom, morals-wise. Look at DeSantis, he begged Trump for an endorsement to win his first term as Florida Governor, even put out the MAGA ad (which is included in another recent article on this site), and then when the wealthy anti-Trump donors started pouring money into his Florida Governor campaign he turned on Trump and is now running against Trump. Basically a back-stabber. Is that better than Haley?
If your goal was to be the only viable alternative to Trump… I guess mission accomplished.
Uh – Ron! is about as viable as a 3-day-old fish left out in the sun.
More of a reality
Wow, his horn on the left side of his head is really protruding…Jill Casey may have to put some Orajel on it.
🤣 🤣
How could we ever expect a guy to put America first when he thinks second place is victory.
Is there any way to discern how many Dems crossed over and voted for him or her? Curious
That would be interesting – in that “NIkki “ slim win college County especially ?-
Count the ballots that have pronouns of xir/xhem ?
I think there’s no way to know. I wouldn’t trust exit or entrance polls, the Democrats are known liars and cheats. But at least they were forced to register as Republicans.
Actually I’m not sure about that.
The open primaries in my state let anybody grab either a Left Vulture Wing or Right Vulture Wing ballot.
Did he remember to pick up his participation trophy?
Sundance, after New Hampshire, will you start a thread, updated after each primary, with the number of delegates each person has for the Republican convention? Hopefully, after New Hampshire there won’t be a need for it, but Meatball may ask Jill Casey to reach in her bra and pull out a wad of $1 million-dollar bills so he can continue not living or representing Florida. 🤣🤣
It’s like he’s trying to gaslight us into believing he actually won.
Or he’s just showing who he really is… a deluded SOB who will burn down people who stood with him and helped him up so he can go up the food chain.
Can’t it be both?
Biggest Losers for IA primary : Top loser RDS and SIG, 2nd place is Gov Kim Reynolds -Outed as dirty, and not big league.
Good call JB.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-warns-reynolds-endorsing-desantis-end-her-political-career-says-shell-lose-maga-support
He’s an “effective leader” when he has a GOP-controlled state legislature willing to change laws to benefit him. Trump created the best US economy ever in the face of the most extreme opposition even from members of his own party, and somehow that does not make Trump an effective leader.
Her face is falling!
And now we know why Kim Reynolds gave the Republican rebuttal at the State of the Union. Most of us were asking who she was and how did she get selected. It was all part of the plan; when she threw in for DeScumbag, we were supposed to be swayed towards him. She gained national recognition and her endorsing him had more meaning. Every move in the whole DeScumbag candidacy was scripted years in advance.
Was she supposed to be DeSantis’ VP pick?
Possibly.
I just don’t get the phrase, “ticket punched out of Iowa”.
I notice in that video, he has physically aged a lot…..a whole lot. That shows me that mentally, he has a really hard time standing against any criticism or hardship. And he has problems standing for the people.
Would never be presidential material.
“Got my ticket punched” reminds me of some dialogue at a poker game in Training Day.
Or a boxing match.
He’s still hoping that Trump dies or someone takes him out.
A few more “eggs on a stick” and NH is also a win.
What a total liar.
Liar.
“They” spent a gazillian dollars? Ron must be looking in the mirror, or at a photo of all the WEF puppets who are throwing money at his campaign.
Ron is a narcissist, big time. They can’t comprehend the truth, so they can’t speak the truth, especially when it involves them.
So yeah, in lil’ ronnie’s head, heck, he is, as Sundance says, the 1st Loser, and he’s gonna celebrate that.
Is he trying to pretend like he didn’t spend a lot of money too? And by using the word “they” is he trying to include Trump in his bizarre rant? From a CNN article:
In recent weeks, Haley and DeSantis – who are jockeying to emerge as the leading alternative to Trump, the Iowa polling front-runner – have pummeled one another on the airwaves with blistering ads that accuse their opponent of failing to confront the economic and national security threat posed by China and attacking their records as governor. All the while, they’ve largely steered clear of targeting Trump.
Haley’s political network has spent the most on advertising in the Hawkeye State, with the super PAC supporting her campaign, SFA Fund, ranking as the top advertiser after spending over $31 million on ads. Haley’s campaign has spent an additional $4.9 million on its own advertising.
Behind Haley, DeSantis’ operation has spent the second-most on Iowa advertising – a trio of super PACs formed to support his presidential bid has spent over $31 million on ads in Iowa, while DeSantis’ campaign chipped in about $3 million more in advertising there.
Meanwhile, Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., has spent about $11.4 million advertising in Iowa, ranking as the third largest individual advertiser, and his campaign has spent an additional $6.8 million. The Trump network’s combined ad spending is significantly less than his two leading challengers and their allies. Still, Trump has consistently enjoyed a wide polling lead in the first nominating state.
Trump spent the least and had the best result. 🙂
That is because everything that neoconservative globalists market turns to SHEET.
Even Stevie Wonder can read the writing on the wall. Yet he stays. Either the swamp has something evil planned, or meatball is truly mentally deficient.
Who are these 23,000 voters who thought DeSantis is a better choice for president over Trump?
Are there any Treepers with a strong understanding of the current DSM? What disorder is this?
Psychopathic megolmaniac?
Maybe just desperate for money. He wants to be rich like Trump is.
Looks more like Desantis’ face has been punched.
Get over yourself Ron. Trump beat you (and Haley) in a landslide. You should have waited a couple of years. People are already tired of you.
Trump ’24 MAGA
