First things first, I pray for healing and his recovery; I am commanded to do so.
That said, what a bunch of fibbers they are. You might remember the initial statements about Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s surgery and hospitalization said it was for an “elective procedure.”
The removal of a prostate for cancer treatment is not an “elective procedure.”
With no reason to lie about such matters, it simply affirms the bigger question: WHAT ELSE are they lying about?
WASHINGTON DC – Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is being treated for complications due to prostate cancer, an ailment that President Biden only learned about on Tuesday, eight days after the Pentagon chief was rushed to the hospital, officials said.
Under pressure from the administration and members of Congress, including from his own party, the Pentagon on Tuesday first released details on the nature of Austin’s medical condition and procedures.
The Pentagon said that Austin had undergone a prostatectomy procedure to treat prostate cancer on Dec. 22. On Jan. 1, he was readmitted to the hospital following complications stemming from the procedure, including severe abdominal, hip and leg pain and nausea, the Pentagon said.
He was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection, the Pentagon said. The infection has cleared and “we anticipate a full recovery,” the Pentagon said.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that President Biden learned Friday Austin was in the hospital and the two spoke on the phone Saturday—but Biden only learned Tuesday morning about the cancer diagnosis.
“It is not optimal…for a situation like this to go as long as it did without the commander in chief knowing about it or the national security adviser or, frankly, other leaders at the Department of Defense,” he said. “That’s not the way this is supposed to happen.” (read more)
JANUARY 8th – […] “Secretary Austin currently remains hospitalized at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and is in good condition. He is recovering well and in good spirits. He is no longer in the Intensive Care Unit and is recovering in a more private area of the hospital. He continues to experience discomfort, but his prognosis is good.” [Via Pentagon]
It ain’t just a UTI…
“With no reason to lie about such matters … WHAT ELSE are they lying about?”
EVERYTHING
simply EVERYTHING
Lying Liars and the Lies they Lie about
easy money bet
My thought exactly. UTIs may morph into something more serious such as a kidney infection. There’s more to this than we are being told. After all, we just pay the bills.
Lisa and Patricia, it is reasonable that you as women may not know that for men with prostatitis developing a UTI is life-threatening if it leads to acute sepsis which is common. Trust me I know from personal experience. I am pretty sure that is what happened with Secretary Austin and if so he is lucky to be alive.
I think if the man is suffering from cancer and acute sepsis we should all cut him some slack (without ignoring that it is problematic that he did not inform Biden that he was going in for surgery if that is in fact true. I personally find that hard to believe, no one goes under general anesthesia without being asked about a healthcare directive and whether there are people who need to be informed in case of an emergency. I have personal experience with that too…
Sounds as if you DO NOT have much personal experience with the scoundrels currently running our government, however…
I see that 14 people who gave upvotes to your comment are as ignorant about my personal experience with the scoundrels currently running our government as you.
we should all cut him some slack… Nope! I will ‘cut some slack’ for any MAGA Patriots who may have illness. Do you honestly think that if YOU had these same problems, that Austin would even care?
That shizbag was point on forced vaccination. This is turbo karma.
Right. He also had a fluid buildup that caused an abdominal obsutruction that blocked his small intestine and caused it to back up.
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2024/01/09/dod-reveals-defense-secretary-lloyd-austin-treated-prostate-cancer/
Well, a lot of us knew he was full of it.
This must be a common aftereffect of that surgery, in which the person is basically on a slant board with head way down, because I know of two people who had the same situation. It can mess up the internal organs.
He’s transitioning.
“With no reason to lie about such matters, it simply affirms the bigger question: WHAT ELSE are they lying about?”
Well, regarding Austin’s medical conditions, they’re really missing an opportunity to gain public awareness of the rigors of Monkeypox and how the same kind of risky sodomistic behaviors can cause an array of health problems in the concerned areas.
“It’s misogyny and homophobia combined that there is no public awareness campaign to bring attention and funding to the need for all males to be vaccinated at birth against Monkeypox to avoid anal, rectal and prostate cancers just like female babies need to be injected with Gardasil Human Papilloma Virus vaccine to prevent ovarian cancer” – Head of HHS, Adm. Richard Levine, who shared his monkeypox with and thoughts regarding his friend Lloyd.
Just desperate to get the shots in for all males. Take the shot you homophobe!
majority of males will not engage in sodomy but to protect gay sex and coverup the health issues of this sort of sex they are willing to force all male babies to have this vx.
You understood exactly.
Guidance I have heard is that UTI is very rare for men and, when it occurs, is a serious matter suggesting serious underlying trigger issues. Women it is often entirely routine tho, of course extremely uncomfortable. A mean little trick of nature to give women a urethra with a sharp curve that men lack – that’s where the baddies get up to no good.
It’s Not a curve that makes the difference but if I go into the reason, ad rem will go after me with a BIG hammer and I will vanish.💥🥴
Since when do you go to ICU for a UTI?
I think Austin has serious medical issues, and more than we are being told. He went from having a pretty basic prostatectomy, to a collection of abdominal fluid, and now to a small intestinal blockage. He won’t be a quick discharge out of the hospital.
I would suggest to Austin that he resign and go enjoy the life he has left.
Inquiring minds want to know: Has his cancer been turbocharged by the spike protein?
My thoughts exactly! After mandating it for everyone else he would never admit that it was the vax.
He has the boosters to turbo it!
You don’t really think these guys took it do you?
Likely that even the higher-ups didn’t know how bad the vax was/is back in 2020-21.
Remember how Sundance described their “silo” existences?
Yeah, likely a jabbaholic. Institutionalized and corporate-types too often have blind trust in vaccines and papered experts.
There is no such thing as Science, per se; there is only the good faith discipline of scientific method. All else is politics.
As for settled science, that what we used to call engineering. The engineers don’t much put up with the lying and prevarication that plagues hyperbole, thus the need for the creation of settled science as a political meme.
He wore the idiot plastic visor over the idiot face mask for all to see that he was a committed, terrified idiot. I’m guessing he was committed enough to get the jab too.
That was so embarrassing! Our leader exhibiting fear!
No. I don’t believe anyone in the military brass took the FrankenVaxx
The vaxx was, after all, a DOD initiative to create. They knew what they had made. Pfizr and other Pharma mfrs just got in on a small portion of mfg.
No way they let their senior flag officers take a toxic bioweapon, especially since they knew there was very poor quality control over each dose’s toxicity. It was experimental, a classification which bypassed a LOT of normally require testing and quality assurance.
Or, they may have covertly given the brass a regular flu shot from a bottle disguised as Covid-19 vaxx.
Austin is the right age where a high % of men get enlarged prostate, and of them, many develop cancer. Not all prostate cancers are the same. Some are very slow growing; others more virulent.
I do
Yes, especially him. He’s dumber than Chris Christie.
I don’t know but those images of Austin and the Marines with face coverings and shields are sinister are super creepy.
Oh, that’s a good one. My 90 yr old Aunt was healthy and had second booster. In two days had abdominal swelling, went to hospital, was diagnosed with kidney cancer and died in less than three months. Same with my neighbors mom.
God is always in the details and since bobblehead refuses to fire him… while I pray for his recovery, American citizens have the legal right to know if no one is militarily in charge. Dereliction of duty at the least!
He’ll be back on his feet keeping pronouns safe-space from super-spreader MAGA terrorists and anti-democracy freedom haters in no time.

Imagine if ivermectine cures cancer, then what would they do for $$$?!
He probably hid it because he’s embarrassed. Aren’t you impotent after the prostate is removed?
Also, what stage is removal the recommended treatment – I thought radiation was the first treatment.
I guess it depends on who does the cutting…
You won’t be able to father children, but everything else depends on the quality of the surgeon and whether of not the cancer was contained within the margins of the prostate.
One can bottle the sperm….
Embarrassed because he has a disease? I don’t think so Lulu. I have been treated for prostate cancer and I’m not at all embarrassed, I’m grateful to be alive. As for whether he’s impotent now, or has incontinence issues or anything else is personal and no one needs to know those details. As for treatment, there is no established steps of treatment. Some men (notice what i did there?), choose radiation, some choose removal, some employ watchful waiting, some choose newer cryotherapy. Effectively, his disease, his choice. Now saying that, I think he failed miserably to keep his chain of command notified and I believe he should resign because of it.
You’re correct. There is no established treatment for prostate cancer. Depends on stage, if other organs are involved, etc. No different than any other type of cancer. It is one of the types of of cancer that Dr’s take a,’ let’s just monitor it and take it from there’ approach. I’ve never liked that ‘watch and wait’ form as a nurse.
Why be embarrassed? At age 70 probably 50% of men will have elevated numbers indicating prostate issues. By 80 most men have at least some form of prostate cancer, benign or not. I know men that have had this surgery and believe me, no guy is making fun of them. Quite the opposite, we’ll be as supportive as can be. And for the most part, to a guy that’s what matters – what other men might think. He only cares what women that he loves thinks, but his buddies are going to have his back 100% of the time.
If you tell him that he’s imPOtent, he’s probably going to go out and buy a cadillac……..
So, dude doesn’t get a PSA test?
I believe that’s how it was identified. Also a rectal exam can detect abnormalities.
PSA can be unreliable. False positive/ negative.
Prostate cancer is no joke.
I suppose it could be considered “elective surgery” if you chose to do nothing about it, which would eventually lead to death.
I have been told that it’s not a matter of if my prostate would kill me just a matter of when…
Deplorable: Most men die with prostate cancer, not from prostate cancer.
Agent Orange used in the Vietnam War caused prostate cancer for a HUGE number of Veterans.
VA benefits for prostate cancer … [VA.gov]Veterans with prostate cancer who were exposed to herbicides during service may be eligible for disability compensation and health care.
Veterans who served in Vietnam, the Korean demilitarized zone or another area where Agent Orange was sprayed may be eligible for a free Agent Orange registry health exam.
Surviving spouses, dependent children and dependent parents of Veterans who were exposed to herbicides during military service and died as the result of prostate cancer may be eligible for survivors’ benefits.
Research on prostate cancer and herbicidesThe Health and Medicine Division (formally known as the Institute of Medicine) of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine concluded in its 1996 report Veterans and Agent Orange: Update 1996 and in future updates that there is limited/suggestive evidence of a positive association between prostate cancer and exposure to herbicides used in Vietnam.
A 2013 study conducted at the Portland VA Medical Center and Oregon Health and Science University found that Veterans exposed to Agent Orange are not only at higher risk for prostate cancer, but they are more likely to have aggressive forms of the disease. Read the abstract for the publication, Agent Orange as a risk factor for high-grade prostate cancer.
Yes, my brother was one. His was caught very early so he had the gold pellets placed and 43 radiation treatments. His PSA never zeroed then he was diagnosed with untreatable chronic myelocytic (sp) leukemia. His bone marrow transplant failed and he passed October 2019. Agent Orange is EVIL.
Originally, I included information on disability qualifications before AND AFTER TREATMENT OR PROCEDURES. THERE IS A LOT TO KNOW!!!
BUT, every situation is different! I did not post that info, because I don’t want someone to choose a particular route based on what I said if that route is not appropriate for them.
This is another one of those situations where you need to make calm, very studied, rational decisions at a time when you least feel like doing so!
There are a lot of people out there, including well–intentioned veterans, who want to help, but their advice may not be appropriate to your situation.
RESEARCH, GET A 2nd, or EVEN a 3rd MEDICAL OPINION, AND SEEK OUT YOUR VA ADVOCATE!!!
ALSO, there are NEW PROCEDURES – some already approved by Medicare, and others in the pipeline! For example, Hifu is already approved, and Tulsa is in the pipeline, if not already approved. Different doctors may utilize different procedures, due to the expensive equipment and training required.
DEPENDING ON YOUR DIAGNOSIS, THESE NEW PROCEDURES ARE GAME-CHANGERS!!! They are non-invasive!!!
Be aware that the specific type of treatment you choose may determine which type of treatment can be used if you need additional treatment in the future.
To further “blow your mind,” there is now a GENETIC TEST THAT CAN BE PERFORMED ON THE SAMPLE THAT WAS REMOVED DURING A PROSTATE BIOPSY THAT PREDICTS THE AGGRESSIVENESS OF THE CANCER WHICH ENABLES THE DOCTOR TO PREDICT HOW MANY YEARS IT MIGHT BE BEFORE SURGERY WAS NEEDED. In which case, the doctor might recommend regular PSAs and appointments, as well as additional biopsies in a few years, as opposed to surgery.
TO SUM UP, research, learn as much as you can, and get opinions and recommendations from 2 or even 3 doctors.
BEST WISHES.
Exactly right. Or as one doctor put it to my brother: “If you’re a man and you live long enough, you will inevitably develop cancer of the prostate, but you’ll probably die from some other malady.”
To my understanding, there are different types of prostate cancer, as well, with some being more deadly than others, due to their ability to grow more rapidly and to spread more easily.
You can say that again; I have to empathize with this otherwise worthless SoD; BTW, I elected not to have it.
Well, technically every surgery is “elective”; given the diagnoses, Austin COULD have ‘elected’ NOT to have the surgery,..its SUPPOSED to always be the patients decision,…they can not FORCE someone to undergo any medical proceedure against their will (unless they are incarcerated in jail, prison or a mental facility).
Hence, technically they weren’t lieing when they said it was an elective proceedure.
Dutch
You’re starting to talk like a lawyer.
Or a nurse??
I had that procedure and it is hell. I wish him the best, and I hope he recovers with no additional complications.
The Bible says to love and pray for all. That is all that I will say.
Your words mirror what Sundance said in his 1st sentence of this post. Great minds think alike!
“The Pentagon said that Austin had undergone a prostatectomy procedure to treat prostate cancer on Dec. 22. On Jan. 1, he was readmitted to the hospital following complications stemming from the procedure, including severe abdominal, hip and leg pain and nausea, the Pentagon said.”
Yep. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Not a UTI for me (something else led to readmission), but miserable nonetheless, and I was a lot younger than Secretary Austin. I don’t wish this on anybody. Good news is I am cancer free for 8 years now. I hope the same for him. That and that he enjoys a long and unremarkable retirement.
Complications with Milleys head up his butt?
I was thinking perhaps the removal was Austin’s own head up his posterior.
Next up, Biden’s time off for the same with the additional removal of feet from mouth and attempted brain implant.
“With no reason to lie about such matters, it simply affirms the bigger question: WHAT ELSE are they lying about?”
Probably be quicker at this point to list the the things they AREN’T lying about! It took them over a week to decide on “prostate surgery” and more excuses are coming out every day for the changing storyline.
As it was pointed out above, they lie about EVERYTHING. They lie when the truth would serve them better. They bow to the father of lies. Lying is in their DNA.
I can see how this could be called an elective surgery.
That’s the thing about those who choose to deceive, which the current admin has clearly shown themselves to be.
You can tell 90% truth and mix in 10% deception and tell something completely deceptive to your audience.
Just because something isn’t a lie does not mean that it isn’t deceptive. A liar knows that he is a liar, but one who speaks mere portions of truth in order to deceive is a craftsman of destruction.
-Cris Jami
When we start to live differently (and that doesn’t mean consuming the new thing, be it a Tesla or an iPhone) we will receive a different gubment.
I recommend reading this post… and some of the comments. Particularly the one that used Russian news sources. It goes downhill from there.
All surgery is ultimately “elective” since you sign consent forms. Nothing more than an attempt to provide PR and obfuscate.
People who got intubated and shot full of Remdesivir back in ’20-21 didn’t sign any forms. Some people even stipulated they refused those treatments but were given them anyway after they were anesthetized. Those procedures were anything but consensual.
Many family members signed those forms on behalf of another. Medical POAs were used as well. Medical forms often have boiler plate language allowing doctors to make decisions for you in certain events. That’s why you read before you sign. Every.Time.
Lying when the truth would serve you just as well (or better) is one of the hallmarks of a pathological liar.
I had a few wives like that!!
Nothing about this is truthful.
First off, Austin has a security detail. I expect Austin’s status information is referred on as a normal course. Then we have the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Again, I think it is reasonable to expect that facility to refer status information on as a normal course.
Then we have the political infrastructure that passes on information. It is not reasonable to expect Austin was MIA. Professionals are not naive.
I think the deep state decided the prostrate cancer narrative plays well so they ran with it. I don’t expect Austin really has prostate cancer.
Look at his December schedule. I am not even sure he was in the U.S. on the 22nd
…LOTS OF TALKS ABOUT SECRET MEETING WITH BANDERISTA- GEN. ZALUZHNYI…..AND…..
He arrived in Israel on the 18th of December:
https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/us-defense-secretary-lloyd-austin-to-arrive-in-israel-today/
been having the same thoughts. dont like having these thoughts…
We will probably find out more over the next few weeks. Perhaps he recovers enough to show up on camera and make an explanatory statement. Or perhaps we will just hear he “developed further complications and took a turn for the worse” without ever again making an appearance or proof of life.
Latest Middle East Development Highlights Why Lloyd Austin’s Secret Hospital Visit Was a Problem
https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2024/01/09/all-out-war-in-the-middle-east-could-be-coming-is-the-biden-team-ready-for-it-n2633377
This narrative doesn’t fit…
I bet he told Barack, or whoever is in charge, that he’d be out for a few days. That sufficed. It probably never occurred to him to tell Joe. The fact that he didn’t tell Joe is evidence that Joe is well known not to be in charge.
Bull’s eye!
What are they NOT lying about- that’s the C question
They just can’t help themselves. Can they? Tsk, tsk, tsk.
The politicians, appointees, SES, and senior administrative officials are NOT IN CONTROL!
They are controlled by the IC (to include foreign IC).
FINISH WAKING UP!
What is up with the last pic under article. The man to right of the flags looks creepy. Honestly this man looks as lost as creep Biden. Looks like no synapses firing or awake alert or oriented. No way he is maintaining the war machine.
Good Eye , LKA ! 👁
Everything they do is weird and creepy .
Well, there are reports out there that Russia targeted a Ukrainian bunker in Kiev with Austin and a bunch of intelligence personnel inside. That cannot be good for your prostate.
Links?

Gonna throw down the BS card Sundance, with all due respect. This admin has been nothing but lies from Day 1 & there’s absolutely no reason to believe them now. You & your peeps should start looking into whether Austin had a massive drug induced heart attack. After all, we all know what was found at the WH for which nobody claimed responsibility.
Having been through the ordeal myself I can definitely state that prostate cancer surgery is anything but “minimally invasive” and an absolute nightmare to get through. My Florida urologist had me fly to Chicago because the surgeon there was the best…Dr Catalona. Flying back to Florida crammed in a Southwest flight with a catheter isn’t anything that I would ever repeat!
Austin will be incontinent for several months at the least.
I’m dealing with PSA scores right now. But for this guy, there’s not enough information for me to say if it was elective or not because depending on his situation there are other treatment options.
And having an elder with numerous UTI’s, yeah those are not pleasant or nothing-burgers either.
IMO all the medical information announced could be completely legitimate.
But removing a prostate doesn’t seem like a drop everything and check yourself in tomorrow thing. That is, unless it is a clot shot turbo cancer situation
But why the totally botched communications and not telling your boss you won’t be in to work tomorrow?
Apparently the world can get along fine without Austin showing up for work.
@ Stu … Make sure your doctor explores Brachy Therapy for your Prostate problem, if your numbers are spiking! Mine were back in 2004. I had BT in 2005 and have been totally cancer free since then! Do the research!!!!!! It IS worth it.
Hey! Wait a minute! Austin was tested for prostate cancer in December when he was 70. AND – he had surgery to remove his prostate when he was 70. AND – he nearly died as a result of complications from the prostate cancer surgery. BUT – everyone, including Harvard Medical School, now says don’t even test for prostate cancer any more once you reach 70 because it is so slow growing that something else will get you before the prostate cancer does and the risks from treatment are greater than the risks from doing nothing. So WTF?
Hmmm … now that he has seen his doctors, perhaps it’s time to talk to a lawyer?
https://www.health.harvard.edu/mens-health/when-is-it-time-to-stop-being-checked-for-prostate-cancer#:~:text=In%20men%20at%20average%20risk,than%2010%20to%2015%20years.
Turbo.
From the clot shot.
Just watched a fellow veteran, 79-80, who was a prostate cancer survivor from years ago get a second vaccine last year.
Prostrate came back with a fury after being in remission for 8-10 years.
Dead in 10 months.
derps.
trapper: It all depends on the particulars of the individual, and also, who is doing the recommending. The Austin situation is all about politics, not his particular medical condition.
An enlarged prostate makes men get up numerous times at night to urinate. It can be uncomfortable. It can cause dribbling. If cancer progresses too far, they have to remove your testicles in order to try to treat it.
Not sure about that and never heard of that but it could be possible.
Testicular cancer and prostate cancer are different, though related somewhat.
But they do have to either treat it with radiation or insert a ‘pellet’ to stop or retard its progression.
Severe cases involve removal of prostrate gland and/or lymph nodes around it but removal of testicles is something I haven’t ever heard of.
Men’s health by men.
He’s been in the military long enough to know better. An honorable man would RESIGN!
If he had a urinary tract infection, I assure you he was incapable of making national security decisions.
They say “complications due to prostate cancer”.
The information as given appears to indicate that the “complications” were actually directly connected to the TREATMENT OPTION of prostate REMOVAL (as opposed to something like radiation treatments or other available options) that HE CHOSE as his best option.
It was an elective procedure in that context.
Too bad that the numerous soldiers that were wrongly discharged from the military were not allowed to choose what option they wanted to follow for their own healthcare when it came to the mandated experimental COVID-19 shots.
I don’t fault Austin for his choice of his treatment for his health.
He should be fired immediately for keeping it a secret and putting this country and it’s soldiers at risk.
I do fault him for the very bad choices he made by forcing soldiers (not their choice) in the military to take experimental shots.
He should be fired for decisions that have put soldiers at risk and for degrading the military.
Causing COMPLICATIONS to their health, due not to a shot that they elected to receive, but to a shot that Austin mandated.
The Marxist communists are making ALL the choices these days. Just like the CHOICE of the President.
THEY CHOOSE.
WE LOSE.
Elections are rigged.
Who was keeping it a secret though?
Him?
Or someone in the chain that chose not to relay the message?
You know, like an insurrection?
Since the poisoning story was the first excuse for his absence, it is not unreasonable to think maybe there is more to this story. It’s almost easy to see through this. Sometimes tptb are not too bright. Maybe something did happen to him when he was out of the country? The prostate problem could be a diversion. It certainly has been a diversion for treepers considering all the comments and only a couple questioning it. JMHO
Zackly!
Apparently treating cancer is an elective procedure in clown world now.
Outpatient stuff now days. Was it sex change?
He sure fits the description of a freak
All of this over a urinary infection? Hogwash.
If I get a uti,it’s no big deal. Sit in ER for 6-8 hrs. In misery. Then go home with r/x. The D.C. gang go to ICU…. Cancer or no Cancer..
A urinary tract infection is serious. I spent a day in the hospital getting many tests till the ER doctor diagnosed me with a UTI. The fear was a UTI could turn into deadly sepsis. I felt awful. I was discharged with a antibiotic prescription. Obviously I got better.
An ordinary UTI and one brought on (potentially) by some sort of contamination during/after a surgery are different things. The prostate wraps around the urethra, which is resectioned when the prostate is removed. The prostate itself may be infected. Germs can spread into the bladder and beyond. The UTI may have been secondary to the other problem of fluid in the abdomen and intestinal backup/blockage.
A UTI doesn’t clear up in a day or 2.
Real Raw News.com reported 2 days ago that Austin was in Ukraine & got wiped out (killed) by a drone strike.
What’d frustrating about RRN is that while they are never always right, they also are not always wrong.
Interesting contrast to the prostatectomy.
We can only hope.
Well, as another treeper pointed out, a drone strike sure wouldn’t be good for your prostate.
So, almost the same thing, really.
He died from a missilectomy.
We all knew it wasn’t an orchectomy
I’ve heard speculation that Austin was injured on an unannounced trip to Ukraine.
Oh my. I am profoundly sorry to hear about SecDef Austin’s health issues. That is truly a shame.
Having said that, it is beyond belief the bad judgement he exercised in trying to hide the health problem.
He could have taken a legal leave of absence, and turned command over to his next in line. He could have had a private consultation with his boss (that’s the preferable action), and they could have devised a way of handling his absence with much less public fanfare.
Given the lies this administration tells, I’m sure had he confided into any one of the vast numbers of liars in this administration, any one of them could have concocted a better way of handling this.
No one in this administration can be trusted with even the smallest task.
I don’t believe this most recent story by a long shot. He scheduled surgery a few day before Christmas? Nope.
And never thru all of this was his second on command informed or the President?
And why not tell the country the prostate story days ago? Why so secretive
The man has been severely injured in Ukraine
We still do not have proof of life.
No pic of him sitting upright in a hospital bed taking calls and conducting business
Actually, Sundance, prostate removal due to cancer CAN be elective surgery. I was diagnosed with PC in 2000 at age 45 and after one surgeon recommended removal, I consulted another doc who concurred. Other options included radioactive seed implants (which Rudy Giuliani had) and “watchful waiting.” PC is slow growing, but once it breaks out of the prostate it has a great affinity for the spinal cord and other organs. Then it’s too late for surgery and the likely prognosis is one year, give or take. More than one specialist told me that all men die either with PC or from PC.
The PSA blood test is the absolute gold standard for early prostate cancer detection. It’s not 100% accurate but it’s very close and there is nothing else.
The old digital thumb test is worthless because by the time a doctor can feel the tumors in the prostate gland the cancer has already spread and you will probably die from it!
I have no idea why the medical establishment has attacked the PSA test when they know how valuable a tool it is.
Most urinary tract infections usually don’t cause a person to be admitted to intensive care. The symptoms mentioned – severe abdominal, hip and leg pain and nausea – indicates that this probably involved an infection in his kidneys, rather than just the bladder or the urinary tract itself. A kidney infection can be quite serious.
Those symptoms also indicate that he was not able to function as Secretary of Defense. He had severe pain and nausea. His deputy was on vacation. Nobody else was told. Biden, the commander in chief, is incapable. Essentially the US had no functioning military command structure for a few days there while the US military is over-extended all over the world.
I hope he recovers, but his choices should have consequences. He failed in carrying out his duties. He should resign.
Agent Orange used in the Vietnam War caused prostate cancer for a HUGE number of Veterans.
“WHAT ELSE are they lying about?“
EVERYTHING!
I know it was a rhetorical question & what was being insinuated is there is probably something more devious & sinister at play in this situation. I agree.
We are no longer obliged to believe a single thing that our government, the MSM & specifically this administration puts out.
I know I’m preaching to the choir, but it just can’t be stated often enough.
I don’t know if there is any truth to this but apparently Austin was wounded in “Ukraine” by a Russian air strike while visiting Zelensky in secret.
He left the watch.
Another demonstration of the two-tiered system.
Prostate cancer, UTI, and intestinal obstruction. He is a sick man. But that has nothing to do with failure to inform.
I am 77, in England and had my prostate removed on 2/2/23. To reduce the risk of problems, the NHS will generally not remove a prostate after the age of 72 but I am fit and they made an exception.
As with any operation you really want it done by surgeons who do it like shelling peas. The hospital I went to perform 300+ prostatectomies a year, they also use a surgeon controlled robot. I went in on a Thursday morning and was discharged after lunch the following day. This is the impact of the robot which, rather than have major surgery slicing through ones stomach muscles (minimum 7 days in hospital, high risk of complications and long recovery) it turns into keyhole surgery and rapid recovery.
I had no problems during 10 days of catheter use. As mentioned above incontinence can be a problem with 20% dry in 1 month, another 60% within a year and the rest after that, if ever. I was dry in 3 months.
By the sound of it, Lloyd Austin at his age and weight needs our prayers.
Regarding PSA testing. If you have prostate cancer the surgeons here regard it as accurate and use it, if uses as a general testing tool it can’t be relied on and needs other tests.
I need to go to bed now as its 0.22 in the morning.
I had it for 5 years before it got invasive so picked up a fair amount of information. If anyone wants me to write more on the subject please put your questions below.
Transurethral Resection of the Prostate TURP. They take it out through the penis with a scope. There is no entering of the abdominal cavity. Can be done under spinal anesthesia. Usually a snap but he is a rather large man. Bleeding is a major complication. Abdominal fluid could be serosanguinous fluid built up and pressure shut down small bowel. Gastric tube emptied the small bowel contents. Abdominal fluid removed with a Trocar and tubing. Antibiotics for particular bug in urinary tract.
The TURP procedure in the UK refers to increasing the diameter of the urethra where it passes through the prostate, usually by reaming it or burning by laser.
I’d love to know how they cut the urethra either side of the prostate, pull it (the size of a walnut) out through the penis and then rejoin the urethra all through the penis/urethra and not entering the abdominal cavity.
This is not offered in the UK.
When you lie as a matter of habit, you actually LOSE the ability to speak truthfully.
It’s not that they made a conscious decision to lie. It’s that their brains are WIRED to lie. I doubt they even concerned themselves with the probability of being caught in a lie, nor are they concerned about being proven as liars.
The WH issued a statement this week that – even after being openly lied to and the public being openly lied to – they would not accept Austin’s resignation even if he submitted it.
Which he wouldn’t do anyway, because lying is just how he is wired. And regime at the WH is similarly wired so they also expect Austin to lie.
No one told Biden because he is not in the loop of people that would need to know. Biden doesn’t run anything so why does he need to know?
Furthermore, nobody noticed that Austin was missing. Perhaps Austin is also not in the loop of people who need to know. In fact the only thing I ever hear about Austin has to do with woke and diversity programs.
It seems like the people who are actually running this country don’t even need to communicate with the stooges they give to us for looks.
Still sounds fishy. I had my prostate removed last year, the first three weeks of recovery were hell and I had no complications. So him thinking he could fly under the radar without complications is total BS.
Further up was a comment regarding radiation as first treatment. My surgeon gave me a choice, but he said if the radiation failed, surgery would be much trickier and therefore not as certain. Just came from quarterly PSA check, all good thanks to the urgency of my general DR and the curiosity of my surgeon.
The lack of notification here makes no sense.
I’m not sure exactly what kind of reporting requirements exist for SecDef, nor how it works when somebody in that position has to take medical leave, but the military is a vast bureaucracy; somebody should have been told. Somebody HAD TO BE told. Beyond that, surely he has an office? People he works with? People who work for him? NOBODY inquired? Nobody wondered where he was?
There are daily reports released by the military on events of interest from the past twenty four hours. That can be everything from what Russia’s up to to how many troops did something stupid with alcohol over the weekend. I believe the White House is briefed daily on those. NOBODY thought it was important to know the whereabouts of SecDef FOR FOUR DAYS?
Doesn’t make any sense. There’s something not right about this.
It occurs to me that the apparent secrecy and frantic cover attempts might be because the real command structure actually WAS notified. But the real command structure may one the public doesn’t expect, and that is extra-constitutional.
It might even include parties we don’t suspect.
honey…ask Shoigu….maybe he know more than “JB”…….
