Mainer here…we have no voter id law, same day voter registration, use the ERIC system to maintain/or not, the voter registration roles and the Democommies control the state House, Senate and Governorship, who passed the most liberal abortion bill this past summer…despite over ten hours of testimony by Mainers who opposed it. I’m told the Dems used strong arm tactics to get that heinous bill passed. This state is no longer of the people, by the people, for the people. This is the same party that has brought you Sen. Susan Colllins. I have attended local GOP meetings…zero talk of election integrity, so just more of the hapless uniparty here in Maine. Maine…the way life should not be.

Given the facts I listed in my previous post, how exactly do we rise up to take the action you suggest? It took Liberty Council to take on a lawsuit against the state of Maine for the vax mandate. No “Mainelander” did it.
Correct. Make them prove you’re depriving them of due process while they simultaneously go bankrupt, lose their jobs, their lives, and their families.
Oh, how could I have forgotten? Darn! When the shoe is on the other foot, judges become staunch defenders of due process (because it’s for libs only, doncha know), and then they castigate ferociously those with the effrontery to try to deny these essential rights.
They also broaden and adjust their judicial prism of acceptable behavior while stretching laws to suit their needs in order to extricate a lib from legal jeopardy.
Judicial immunity is not required by the Constitution, and I’ve read that it was passed into a statute that also covers prosecutors.
In the end, it must be nice to be a judge and to take off entire summers, or to be a congressman with months off during the year.
I don’t believe a president can ever close his shop for business. There is no vacation per se for him. And maybe it’s that extra free time that allows congressmen and judges to gather socially-free from the worries of their duties- to air their concerns and to pledge mutual cooperation and fealty (and, oh yes, thanks for that beautiful gift and letter!). After all, they’ve been in their save offices for years, and each has useful powers the other doesn’t have.
So at some point, the issue of judicial immunity must have arisen on some beach in the Hamptons as friendships and trust deepened, because Congress did decide that their close friends in black robes needed and deserved immunity, and, who knows, maybe those black robes could reciprocate by adopting rulings favorable to certain congressional factions.
I’ve written now repeatedly that term-limiting the President, which cut against the original concept of constitutional parity, was done to weaken the presidency-not to protect the Nation- and lo and behold, here we are. How can both branches have immunity and the third does not?
My response to that is that a president doesn’t enjoy the luxury of time, or freedom from duty, year after year, to shmooze with judges and congressmen about concerns that would be particular to the Office of the Presidency. If he had, he could have, over time, achieved what the others actively lobbied to obtain.
I suggest a reconsideration of immunity for some but not for all!
Trump’s legal team has argued, and I wholeheartedly agree, that presidential immunity, for acts undertaken during a presidency, is rooted constitutionally in the separation of powers itself. But regrettably, judges become maddeningly narrowminded when issues may favor conservatives, and stupidly broadminded when they might favor libs.

Because it got passed the initial roadblocks like standing, the 2022 election challenge in Maracopa County is particularly instructive.
Yes, we know they injected 35,000 phantom ballots on election day.
However, by installing malware in the machines that would be used in KL districts, ON ELECTION DAY when they knew KL voters would insist on voting, a good estimate is that they sippressed the vote of at least 48,000 KL voters.
The final tally only had Hobbs up by 17,000 votes.
So you see, without the voter suppression, the phantom ballots alone would NOT have been enough to steal a ‘win’ for Hobbs.
Far too many focus on fake ballots, not enough focus on voter suppression.
Recommendations in IL are to vote early as possible to avoid that scenario.

In my little town of 400 people in Western Maine, we still use only paper ballots and they go into a wooden box that has a slot in the top and a padlock. The silver haired volunteers who work at the poll, count the ballots by hand. The only chance for fraud is in the sending of election data to the county via the internet where the data could be changed.
I agree, elsewhere it is all electronic with paper ballots being scanned into the system.
Mail in ballots are sent out via a request from the voter, not via a mass mailing to everyone on the voter role. Two cities in Maine…Portland and Lewiston,…are home to over 10,000 illegals brought here by Catholic Charities mostly, along with two other NGOs. The Maine GOP has shown little initiative in cleaning up voter roles and other election integrity initiatives.
