Apparently 105 Republican members of Congress have decided that “due process” is no longer needed for anyone who stands accused. Regardless of how you feel about New York Representative George Santos, the expulsion from Congress, without any judicial or court hearing, is a remarkable development.
The final vote was 311 for, with 114 against expulsion. Reps. Jonathan Jackson (D-Ill.) and Al Green (D-Texas) voted “present,” and Reps. Bobby Scott (D-Va.) and Nikema Williams (D-Ga.) voted against the measure.
Santos becomes the first Republican ever expelled from Congress and only the sixth member in history to suffer such a fate.
A special election will be held in New York CD-03 to replace him. The Republican House majority now sinks to four seats if all members are present.
Democrats rally around their accused with political ferocity. However, the jellyfish Republicans can never elevate to see the bigger picture. The big winner in this outcome are House Democrats who can now strategically use the small majority to defeat Republican legislation.
WASHINGTON DC – Top GOP lawmakers have a new problem on their hands: Rank and file Republicans frustrated with their leaders’ late-game opposition to expelling George Santos.
The New York Republican’s intra-party critics finally succeeded Friday in their push to expel their indicted colleague. They prevailed despite the opposition of all four top House Republican leaders, who lined up in the 24 hours before his ejection to say they would support keeping Santos in office.
Republican leaders also didn’t whip votes against Santos, arguing that his expulsion was a vote of conscience. In the end, their members split almost evenly — 105 voted to bounce him and 112 voted not to. But some who voted to expel took issue with their leaders’ decision to come out as opponents of expulsion at the last minute, warning that it risked looking like an attempt to tip the scales for Santos.
Rep. Steve Womack (R-Ark.) said he was “very disappointed” with how GOP leaders handled the vote.
“Too many people, including leadership, were using excuses that simply cannot be successfully argued with everyday Americans,” Womack said in an interview. “Had leadership had its way, we would have reset the bar on standards of conduct at a level that we would live to regret.”
Womack, a respected senior appropriator, added that “I am thankful that there were enough thoughtful members of Congress, on both sides of the aisle, that recognize that there was only one course of action here.” (read more)
The Republican wing of the Uniparty are experts at losing while proclaiming they held on to their principles.
Santos deserved due process. However, if you look at the litany of Republicans who voted against him, you will discover the same aligned names were with the Nancy Pelosi impeachment effort against Donald Trump.

Good. Let the republicans keep demonstrating who they are. Anti-American, anti-republican, anti-constitution, anti-freedom, anti-law.
Republicans are the ENEMY. Wake up, America! You’re next!
All on purpose. They don’t want you voting for them. Its musical chairs, and take it in turns BS!
Agree! The R side of the UniParty continues to implode…they just don’t realize it yet as their arrogance is so overwhelming that they believe they will stay in office.
Time to primary every single one of them. They clearly don’t give a flying rat’s a__ what we think.
So relieved Trump didn’t start a third party. AREN’T YOU?
😖
Today set a precedent “The voters don’t matter anymore”.
We haven’t mattered for decades and we’ve just recently been aware.
The Supreme Court would say… expelling Santos is illegal because the voters put him in office and they way to get rid of someone is to have the voters elect someone else.
This Supreme Court??
I can hear them now…NO STANDING!
Vassals of the State aren’t allowed to have that any more.
Thank God that even Supreme Court Justices can commit treason and lose all authority even if they refuse to step down from office as required of TRAITORS!
Even Supreme Court Justices MUST abide the Constitution which allows them power of authority with the office, until such time as death or treason.
“To consider judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions is a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy.” – Thomas Jefferson
Marbury vs Madison “the Constitution of the United States confirms and strengthens the principle, supposed to be essential to all written constitutions, that a law repugnant to the constitution is void, and that courts, as well as other departments, are bound by that instrument.” – John Marshal
Traitors have no lawful authority and their proclamations may be dismissed with impunity.
When 50%+++ of the population have zero knowledge of the constitution it makes no difference.
I doubt it is even that, Greg.
Agreed Bet. I used to go along with the theory we were split 50/50, but now I believe the ignorant among us is way closer to 75-80%. We are actually outnumbered, by quite a bit.
Thanks in large part to government indoctrination centers (better known as “public schools”)….and, possibly, parents that are complicit and/or NOT paying attention.
Even when/where these schools fail, the parents can (SHOULD) fill in the gaps.
Are parent(s) too busy with keeping food on the table and a roof over the family’s head to pay attention to the gaps from public schools? – {rhetorical}
In principle, yes.
Every branch is morally bankrupt.
And immune from the consequence thereof.
Sundance you left Individual Liberty or something of like descriptive out of the MAGA on the chart.
Keep up the good work, this site keeps me sane.
What happened to our new speaker on this expulsion?
He expressed “reservations”, but let House Republicans know they could vote however their spinelessness dictated.
Individual liberty REQUIRES personal responsibility.
i was speaking to the chart at the bottom of SD’s post and specifically the list of MAGA focus items. Most of the MAGA movement had individual liberty focused high on their priorities
The same as J6 Prisoners of War, some still rotting in the DC Gulag for years on end, yet to come to the pantomime known as “trials”…and those prejudged as ” guilty” for exercising their constitutional rights to protest.
I want my country back.
Me too!
Welcome to the Communist States Of America..
So do I, Betsy….BIGLY.
Secede. Only one problem. The two likely states to start the movement are Florida and Texas. Neither are governed by men.
Its clear that we won’t be able to get our country back by voting. We’ll just have to take it back. We need a war time consigliere.
I’m with you Betsy.
That cold dead stare of a Sociopath!
And yet Menendez is still in the senate…
And Rashida Tlaib
She has shriek cred.
And Ilhan Omar
AOC. Fire Alarm dodo. And on and on.
And bribe taking and money laundering Biden is still in the White House.
The very stupid party. I guess the yes votes don’t like being in the majority. Perhaps they should retire.
They must want piglosi back.
UniParty, they didn’t like the way he was voting. Now they can get a Demoncrat or Republicon in the seat.
I would say that you are correct, CalCon.
According to The New American’s Freedom Index (which is a Congressional Scorecard based on the U.S. Constitution), Representative George Santos, from NY, scored 90 (out of a possible total of 100). This score is based on his voting record – his ACTIONS. Converted to an academic letter grade, his score would be an A-. He voted to uphold the U.S. Constitution, which IS his SWORN DUTY.
https://thenewamerican.com/freedom-index/legislator/s001222/
Much better percentage than the 64% lifetime (70% for this Congress) of upholding the Constitution for David Rouzer (R-NC).
“The republican wing of the uniparty are experts at losing while proclaiming they held on to their principles.”
They are certainly experts at it, right up until the left body slams them on some other issue like who sits on committees (J6), insider trading (ethics? Yeah that’s a laugher) or completely ignoring committee rules.
“Principles?? We don’t need no stinkin’ principles!”
Clearly…
(S)elected representatives are SUPPOSED to uphold the Constitution that they have SWORN to, whatever level of government.
Santos Expelled By Congress For Doing Terrible Job Covering Up Ethics Violations

Congress, i.e., the Uniparty, does not want to air its stinking, dirty laundry. Dems or Repubs, it makes no difference.
Yep, I sent RINO Rutherford , the representative from my district, another email, AGAIN, this afternoon when the news broke.
It read:
“(Expletive exclamation) RINO POS!
MAGA FOR ALL THE MARBLES.”
I felt real good about it, AGAIN!
which was promptly forwarded to C Wray.
Not being a resident of New York, and having other, more important things to concern myself with, I must confess to being ignorant to the details of Santos. Is there a short synopsis available to explain the reasoning behind deciding to expel him?
The point is, that our Congress had much better ways to spend their time, rather than kicking out someone who votes conservative.
You know, like they could have addressed the debt crisis, or no more $$ for Ukraine, or the Southern border, or election fraud, or stopping the illegitimate dictates of the Biden administration – you know, like shutting off our gas and oil, spending $$ we don’t have on “green energy” and carbon credits….oh, I could go on and on and on. Oh, and they wouldn’t agree to impeach the traitor Mayorkais!
Santos may not be a good guy, but he’s in good company with the other corrupt members of this Congress.
I would add especially for a House member, they only have two year terms and he’s halfway through it. If New York has a special election: a) is it legal since there’s no criminal conviction and b) it’s a waste of money.
Meanwhile people fined or convicted are still serving with no threat of removal.
Power has succeeded -there is no right or wrong.
Innocent until proven guilty is no longer. Everyone used to laugh out Grand Jury’s indicting a ham sandwich but now it is accepted as a sign of guilt. Judges used to be a calling of honest people and now it is all about their elections and Politics.
And my Rep Dr. Mark Green, TN voted to expel Santos. He’s chair of DHS committee and I haven’t seen any action from him to impeach Mayorkus but he votes to convict a Rep without a conviction.
The GOpe IS the stupid party after all. They will do anything to give up their majority. I’m still waiting for Ilhan Omar to be expelled for immigration fraud, Tailib to be expelled for inciting a riot, Pelosi for insider trading, AOC for campaign fund fraud, Bowman’s pulling of the fire alarm and shutting down the House, Schiff for lying continuously about Trump…..the list is endless with the Commie Dems.
“The GOpe IS the stupid party”
You’re being way too kind.
The Dems are the Evil Party — Reps used to be the Stupid Party, now they are the Complicit Party (and maybe always have been).
My Congressman….
Barry Loudermilk (GA/11) was a “no”….with more votes like this….
I’ll support his re-election.
they are in on it. they love their comforts & full bellies.
George Carlin was absolutely right about the U.S. government.
George Carlin was right about every thing…
Great; just another ploy to keep President Trump off the ballot. You know this wasn’t about Santos…
.
I get the numbers. I understand his current posturing as MAGA and that we need these numbers. But I am SO conflicted, because never before has there been so much evidence of someone literally fabricating his background completely out of whole cloth. We don’t have the first clue who this man is, he’s that much of a con artist.
Not just the -many- allegations of theft and financial fraud, in the U.S. and Brazil. His name, his family, his background, his education, his work experience, his extra-curricular activities, all just completely and totally MADE UP. That also doesn’t get to the allegations of drag queen while supporting Lula in Brazil. So whothehell knows what he really thinks ot stands for.
I get that the corruption, lies, and frauds are rampant in Congress and elsewhere in the government. But for someone to start off with this much. Who IS this person? He’s complete make-believe. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/guide-george-santos-lies.html
.
And yet DICK Blumenthal of Connecticut remains in the senate…go figure. Stolen valor and the moron voters of CT keep putting him back in office.
exactly…its gotten to the point where being corrupt is so prevalent, we have a bullshit liar and pathological clown/senile navel gazing ambulatory moron in the white house..
and everyone just ignores it…accepts it as normal.
this is NOT NORMAL.
DC is out of control.
we are asking the wrong people to fix problems.
God Bless America
and Menendez is still in Congress….a proven crook
Are allegations now fact? Sounds much like “orange man bad.” I no longer believe any of it. Santos was expelled by grifters, one and all or he would have had his day in court.
.
I get that. And numerous allegations of financial crimes and fraud of multifarious kinds are still pending or being investigated in numerous jurisdictions. The House Ethics Report had conclusions, though, on some of these.
But not every lie amounts to a crime, e.g.:
Claimed that he attended Horace Mann high school. Did not.
Claimed that he graduated 2 years later with a degree in economics and finance from Baruch College. Never attended this school. Claimed he was star of the volleyball team. Well, no, obviously.
Claimed that he attended NYU. Did not.
Claimed that he worked at Goldman Sachs. Did not.
Claimed that he worked at Citigroup. Did not.
Claimed that he was a VP at LinkBridge Investors. Was not.
After his failed first 2020 Congressional run, worked for a ponzi scheme in Florida called Harbor City Capital, now in receivership and under investigation.
Ran a financial scam company under his frequently-used fake name Anthony Devolder.
Pocketed money from a fake charity, Friends of Pets United. Under its auspices, among other things, ran a GoFundMe ostensibly for surgery for the dog of a disabled veteran and kept the money.
Claimed his mother died from being in 9/11. A lie. (She was living in Brazil.)
Claimed to have Jewish grandparents who survived the Holocaust. Another lie. (Before claiming this, alleged to have made multiple antisemitic comments orally and on FB.)
Claimed to have 4 employees who died in Pulse Nightclub shooting. False.
Brazilian drag queen Eula Rochard claims that he was in numerous drag shows in Brazil and aspired to be Miss Gay Rio de Janeiro. (He was living the gay life in Brazil? Before or after he was married and then divorced from a woman in New York? Before or after his claim to be working for different financial companies in New York?)
Claimed (as “Anthony Devolder”) to have acted in multiple TV shows and movies that do not exist. (Okay, he time-warps too.)
Claimed to be a journalism executive at Brazilian media company Globo. False. (But he sure has lived in a lot of places doing a lot of different things — Brazil, New York, Florida all at the same time!)
.
Santos voted to impeach Mayorcas. I would have voted to keep him just for that. Come on, Speaker Mike. Run your damn caucus. You have the power. Don’t be so timid as not to use it.
Nancy has his balls on a shelf…he handed them over quickly
agreed.
this point AND the points made by sundance CAN BOTH BE TRUE.
I’m not going to start some silly fight about it.
the dude was exceedingly AWFUL and should have never even been able to QUALIFY…yes, did I say some sort of EC type qualification that the founders were so keen on influencing states’ to realize? Yes, I did.
and THAT is really the problem…
a cheat and a fraudster can pass go and the ec college does not have any power to test qualification much less apply them.
it’s not rocket surgery. if you lie and you cheat and your make unfounded and provably FALSE claims to bolster your record to get votes, you should not be eligible for office. period ..end of story. its cowardice and institutional corruption that insists these things are not possible to implement.
lastly…and this is very important to realize…it’s the gorilla in the room throwing furniture with blood shot eyes:
I can petition fellow voters and get a recall for my state representative…I can vote him in and I can vote him out. It’s a central part of the state constitution. AND YES, I CANNOT VOTE A FAITHLESS OR FRAUDULENT OR DIMINISHED/COMPROMISED REP OR SENATOR FROM CONGRESS? THAT I VOTED TO PUT INTO OFFICE??
think about these things.
congress should NOT BE THE ONLY BACKSTOP TO FILTER OUT BAD ACTORS. But that is how it works right now. And this really illustrates exactly WHY WE HAVE A CORRUPT DC CONGRESS OUT OF CONTROL AND UNCHECKED.
Santos should have never been on the ticket. Same with AOC…Same with federman…same with a whole host of people who are in “office”.
it’s a broken system. Expecting congress to fix the problems is misguided.
WE THE PEOPLE FIX PROBLEMS> WE ARE THE WHITE HORSES.
that’s all I got to say on the matter.
God Bless America
the point is – why aren’t they taking care of business and allowing the voters who put Santos in office to take care of him….? Huh?
And I’ll bet these scumbags who can’t bother working on important things that directly affect US, will take a Christmas vacation in a week or so.
you missed the part where voters CANNOT REMOVE/RECALL members of congress.
I would have a completely different point of view and would share your same view IF THAT WERE THE CASE.
it is NOT.
voters, no matter what state you are from cannot remove members of congress THAT THEY THEMSELVES VOTE INTO OFFICE.
see the problem?
and no, waiting until the next election cycle DOES NOT CUT IT.
we have our own FAITHLESS DOTARD RIGHT HERE IN LOUISIANA (my state home). Cassidy. No sooner than he was voted in and supported BY PRESIDENT TRUMP AND THE VOTERS WHO WERE TRICKED INTO VOTING FOR HIM..HE TURNS AROUND AND VOTES TO IMPEACH PRESIDENT TRUMP.
and we can’t do anything about it. We cannot recall him. It is a stupid and broken system.
and this goes to the arguments some people have about term limits. That will only make corrupt people accelerate their crooked agendas …which again highlights the fundamentally broken problem.
THE PEOPLE who voted for these people in congress should have the same power to vote them out//recall them.
you can do this with your state assembly members..your reps..and probably even your parish and county officials. Almost every single person in an elected position in any state can be recalled..there is a process…and it does happen.
but for congressional members you vote to represent you. No, you have no such power.
it’s a broken system.
and it’s broken in a much larger aspect…the qualification filters..they just don’t exist.
age, state of residence, citizen (that we can agree is subject to fraud), and a mouth breather.
that’s it. that’s all there is to “qualification”.
this is NOT what the founders described in many debates and letters and memos…
it is shameful that states have ignored and refused to allow the most important aspect of a TRUE REPUBLIC! that you will have the power to remove those who no longer represent your interests.
think about it. I have. it’s a very frustrating reality that the least important thing that you can do is to vote every 4 years. It really is. There is SO MUCH MORE TO REPRESENTATION AND THE POWER OF REPRESENTATION THAN JUST PULLING THE SLOT HANDLE AND ROLLING THE DICE IT ALL WORKS OUT.
God Bless America
Both posts- marvelous!
The voters can remove him if they so choose…in the next election.
If you want to make an amendment to the Constitution to change that, I may support the idea. I would have to read how it is worded.
If the founders had wanted a litmus test to run, I think that they would have included one.
I think that a lot of the blame for this could be laid at the feet of the media. They are doing a piss poor job of informing us, all they want to do is indoctrinate us.
see the problem is that we cannot amend the constitution…congress can.
and think about this carefully. you think congress is going to change the constitution, ask the states to ratify the amendment that would allow voters to recall members of congress.
it’s like pretending to believe that a bank thief is going to turn himself in, report where he buried the loot AND distribute a map where the entire network of bank thieves reside. This is what we are dealing with.
now, let me tell you a true story. Jeff Landry, former AG-Louisiana, explored the possibility of filing a law suit to argue and challenge the modern interpretation about how the constitution lines out how congressional members are voted into office and how they are expelled for cause. He actually wrote a brilliant legal argument way back when a fraudster ran for congressional senate seat here in Louisiana, on the republican ticket and then tricked people to get their votes. Then once in DC, he commenced to a 180 degree about face and voted straight down the democrat agenda…every single time. It was so obvious that this dude had lied, bold face lied and then was completely dishonest and faithless to his constituents. AG landry might actually be the only attorney that I know of who has actually put energy behind doing the legal analysis wrt constitutional law for recalling faithless congressional members. His legal case, unfortunately, never made it to the Lousiana State Supreme court, nor was it allowed in schedule to SCOTUS.
BUT…I have good reason to believe he has not abandoned the cause and as governor with his number 2 solicitor now taking his position, he now has the political sway to make this issue in much more public scope.
AG Landry is a respected attorney by even his democrat radical AG counterparts. In 2020, he was the keynote speaker for an AG convention held in Hawai’i. I’ll post the video at an appropriate time to get a sense of what kind of mind this guy has. Very sharp. Very focused. And is at ease with very complex legal issues. He’s be very good for Louisiana as Governor. I also believe he will one day become a very good prospect for President if he can get enough done that resonates on a national scale. As Governor, he has that opportunity now. He’s a good man. Like Mike Johnson, also a good man. I am delighted to see representation from louisiana folks who work hard and know right from wrong and don’t have their hands in the damned cookie jar.
God Bless America
You are touching on the point I repeat ad nauseum. The US has no filter or test of constitutional fitness for anyone other than president, and now that’s irrelevant.
When nutcases like the Squad can file a form and run, and win, you know the end is in sight. These foreigners represent communism yet apparently that’s just fine.
With this being the standard in 21st century America, get your guns ready.
With all due respect (and I mean it), Santos has much in common with dam near every other member of the House. He simply got outted. IMO, the point is, that he was ousted WITHOUT DUE PROCESS. No hearing, nothing. Precedent has now been set, though. Who the hell knows what is going to happen after this.
precedent was also set when boehner, ryan and peloser mandated “pelosi rules”.
precedent was also set when mccarthy was seated only after being forced to accept negotiated agreements and terms of condition that included him being ousted for failing to abide by them. and so he was.
precedent is not a bad thing. If you start by doing the RIGHT THING…even if the consequences are not ideal..because we all know that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction…then we have the upper moral agency and force the corruptors to expose themselves.
removing a corrupt, lying, thieving congressional members should be uncontroversial..NO MATTER WHAT PARTY FUNDED HIS CAMPAIGN AND HOW HE VOTES.
apply the rules of normal moral behavior from your own household and business and apply them to congress….failing to recognize what is the right thing to do is exactly how congress has gone to the shitter.
just my opinion
God Bless America
“never before has there been so much evidence of someone literally fabricating his background completely”
Just wait until you find out about Ilhan Omar ….
Exactly.
How was he NOT vetted BEFORE becoming (s)elected?
Even if voters didn’t do their due diligence, what about media? Since he ran as an ‘R’, wouldn’t the MSM have had a field day with this info???
Something just doesn’t seem to add up, in my humble opinion.
Democrats and some Republicans keep announcing Trump’s guilt.
So, it’s not any wonder that “The seriousness of the charge is proof of wrong-doing” was applied to Representative Santos.
Presumption of innocence? Not for Republicans.
This is the plan because George took a seat that has been a stronghold for decades.
There is a strategery involved here.
The only time our government cares about us is when they take half of our paycheck on payday.
Taxation = theft.
Is there a list of Republicans that voted to expel? I think it should have been up to the voters in NY to vet Santos first, and also to vote him out. Speaker Johnson was correct in that this will set a precedent… just like Harry Reid’s Nuclear Option. Mitch McConnell tried to warn him, now we have three conservative SC Justices added with just a majority vote. How about throwing out a few others next?
TGP had an article with a list earlier today.
On TGP…….my Congressman is one of the RINO scum.
Speaking of TGP, apparently members of Congress can no longer access TGP on their computer. Matt Gaetz is looking in to it.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/full-list-of-republicans-who-voted-to-expel-george-santos/ar-AA1kR7TJ
Here it is
I keep telling you people that if you want better representation you have to get better voters.
There it is.
The country was all-but doomed from the start, we are just now seeing its manifestation. If a country can only survive with a “moral and righteous people” as its voting base, then the prediction was accurate… we’re no longer even close to being moral.
Our only hope is in a national calamity that resets our moral compass. And that will happen one way or another.
105 RINOS must become unemployed!
Or sent to bag groceries somewhere!
Every day opening of congress needs this played first thing
Such a disgrace. And I’d bet not one is ashamed.
Indignant pricks.
Who wants to bet that these same 114 will vote against impeachment for Biden?
Sorry, should be 105.
Im sorry!to disagree w you, but im so tired of R using apples and oranges. im old enough w my Marine Mom i had to know right from wrong and clearly his crimes are out in the open here and S America. Stop sayine well the other side does this. That doesnt work. He was removed, next Menendez and keep going!
I agree….
Congress has standards??? !!!
Who would have ever guessed?
How I see it is that the GOPe are burning the party to the ground, Trump or no Trump. They can’t allow “their voters” to have representation. They want to ensure that even if Trump wins, no one votes for them down ballot so that he can’t get anything; that anything he does will be viewed as a lame duck, easily done away with and authoritarian.
I saw this first during the debate at the Reagan Library where they were so high on illegal immigration, again and again. They know people view Democrats as anti-American; so they just want to wallow in that stench as well.
This gives Republicans an excuse to do nothing.
It’s a sign of the times. They are trying to withhold Trump from several state ballots based on 14th Amendment criterion even though that case hasn’t been litigated yet. We are rapidly becoming a nation of guilty until proven innocent. I hope the “Gentleman from Arkansas” is never accused of anything that that he can’t prove himself innocent of.
From a 4 seat majority in the House down to 1 seat majority by end of December?
First Santos is voted out – now we’re down to a 3 person majority. (Governor Hochul has announced she will name the replacement.)
Then… heard on the radio tonight… that two House Republicans may be leaving early (vacating their seat) by end of December. One of the two is McCarthy. If that happens the GOP would be down to a 1 seat majority.
If I were a suspicious cat, this would look like a very convenient turn of events for the Uniparty … almost like it were coordinated and planned.
These are McCarthy backers trying to lose the House majority, so that none of the stand alone bills that the few Conservatives in the House demanded be passed, that ultimately cost McCarthy his speakership, will get passed in the House.
I know that a governor can name a replacement for a vacated U.S. Senate seat but since when can a governor name a replacement for a vacated U.S. H of R seat? Can a NYS resident help out here?
Like I wrote in an earlier post, republicans are great at attacking their own but stand in silent approval when a democrat is guilty. Ask me again why I left the republican party to be unaffiliated. Personally, I want no part of either party.
I am surprised that the Treehouse’s number one scold hasn’t jumped all over you and demeaned you for becoming an “independent”.
How can anyone be surprised at this outcome? The GOPe is part stupid, part venal, and always without a spine.
republicans are absolutely gutless eunuchs, not one set of balls between them.
So all I have to do is accuse a congressman of a crime and they leave? Does anyone have a complete list of congressmen? Thank you in advance.
I’m ready for the MAGA Party, myself.
They are actually trying to lose the next election.
No question about it.
Dumb as pocket lint but getting richer by the minute.
Seems like it. Half the GOP voted to reduce their mjaority from 4 seats to 3. Only dedicated losers do that.
And now two more GOP members may be resigning by year end which if it happens would reduce the GOP majority down to 1 seat.
Johnson should never have called the vote on Santos. And he had to know the rumors about McCarthy and another member possibly leaving early.
They don’t need to lose it. They just keep throwing their own to the wolves. Funny, isn’t it that Santos is from NY.
“Womack, a respected senior appropriator”
I read that sentence as “Womack, a respected senior money changer“.
The Republican Party has a poison-pill they use on their voters to keep them on the plantation. If you don’t vote for us or stop giving us money, the democrats will take over and american is done. It has worked for many decades, but people are starting to see it’s a huge head-fake.
Look at what supporting the GOP has gotten us over the past 50 years. Go major issue by issue through the decades and tell me what the GOP has done to fix anything or even fight-back on anything? Much of what we are seeing in the weaponization of government was actually conceived and established under GOP presidents and GOP congress. All of this tongue-kissing of china started for real under nixon and on and on we could go.
2020 was the last hold-your-nose-and-vote election for me. I’m 100% done with the GOP. Nearly every one of them makes me sick to my stomach. Go ahead and execute your poison-pill on america you treasonous bastards. I’m as ready as I can be.
The lizard king
Good to see Sabo is active again.
It’s the seriousness of the charge…
And all the “credible evidence” …
I figure he didn’t do anything that they all do. Maybe he didn’t cover it up as well but he and the American people deserved to have a trial and let the facts come out. Disgusting republicucks.
‘I’m Going To Be Real With You’: Byron Donalds Gives Unvarnished Take On George Santos Expulsion

BRAVO, Byron Donalds!
The Rule of Law.
The Rule of Law
By Judge Andrew P. Napolitano
July 18, 2012
https://www.creators.com/read/judge-napolitano/07/12/the-rule-of-law
The greatest distinguishing factor between countries in which there is some freedom and those where authoritarian governments manage personal behavior is the Rule of Law. The idea that the very laws that the government is charged with enforcing could restrain the government itself is uniquely Western and was accepted with near unanimity at the time of the creation of the American Republic. Without that concept underlying the exercise of governmental power, there is little hope for freedom.
The Rule of Law is a three-legged stool on which freedom sits. The first leg requires that all laws be enacted in advance of the behavior they seek to regulate and be crafted and promulgated in public by a legitimate authority. The goal of all laws must be the preservation of individual freedom. A law is not legitimate if it is written by an evil genius in secret or if it punishes behavior that was lawful when the behavior took place or if its goal is to solidify the strength of those in power. It also is not legitimate if it is written by the president instead of Congress.
The second leg is that no one is above the law and no one is beneath it. Thus, the law’s restraints on force and fraud need to restrain everyone equally, and the law’s protections against force and fraud must protect everyone equally. This leg removes from the discretion of those who enforce the law the ability to enforce it or to afford its protections selectively. This principle also requires that the law enforcers enforce the law against themselves. Of course, this was not always the case. In 1628, the British Parliament spent days debating the question “Is the king above the Rule of Law, or is the Rule of Law above the king?” Thankfully, the king lost — but only by 10 votes out of several hundred cast.
The third leg of the Rule of Law requires that the structures that promulgate, enforce and interpret law be so fundamental — Congress writes the laws, the president enforces the laws, the courts interpret the laws — that they cannot be changed retroactively or overnight by the folks who administer them. Stated differently, this leg mandates that only a broad consensus can change the goals or values or structures used to implement the laws; they cannot be changed by atrophy or neglect or crisis.
The values in America are set forth in the Declaration of Independence, and the governmental structures in America are set forth in the Constitution. The former — that our rights are inalienable and come from our Creator and not from the government — is not merely a recitation of Thomas Jefferson’s musings. The Declaration is the articulation of our values then and now, and it, too, is the law of the land.
The Constitution was written — largely by James Madison — to define and to limit the federal government, and it was quickly amended by adding the Bill of Rights so as to be sure that natural rights would be respected by the government. This tension between the power of the majority — at the ballot box or in Congress — and the rights of the minority — whether a discrete class of persons or a minority of one — is known as the Madisonian dilemma. Stated differently, the Constitution provides for protection against the tyranny of the majority.

It would be nice to see if the voters in his district decide that they alone should have the final say in who should represent them and then see this man run and win in that special election; he could actually run on the platform that a person is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty and since he has never even been convicted of a crime he cannot be restricted from running again for that seat.
I bet he would be someone to pull such a stunt off and then can champion all those who have been punished by social allegation without actual crime being proven – that does seem to be a theme our nation is struggling with since PDJT has been convicted without having been proven to have done a crime.
Guess it depends on how mad the voters in his district are.
Another day ending in ‘y’. Corruption is spelled ‘U-S-A’.
MTG told Tucker, if you don’t go along with the Established Republicans you might as well be dead.. It was a very telling conversation she had with Tucker.
” Established Republicans ” MEANING as SHE MENTIONED ie. Rep McCarthy, Rep Scalise, Rep Steil, Rep Granger, …

He needs to spill his guts.
I will reply to you first Grumpy because that’s where I came into the conversation tonight. Your thought was second on my list. No matter what you think about Mr. Santos, and I have not done a deep dive on him (on purely linguistic terms), he has not not been convicted of any criminal act. I have no idea why he was elected when a dim, or dims, held that seat for 50 years. I have read that every vote he has cast is pure Republican. Is he a nut job? How many other members of Congress are?
So aside from ensuring that another wacko dim will replace him, what have our slim majority reps accomplished? I would posit another reason to vote for more socialism. And yes Grumpy, I hope he spills as many beans as he wants. And so long to Mrs. Ann (Our rape kit backlog) Wagner. Read Marc Steyn’s latest column about Germany. Sheesh!
Looks like the people no longer get to vote for their Representative. If the rest of the House doesn’t like them, get them charged with something and then hold a vote to oust them. So unbelievable dangerous, like the rest of our country today. Unreal.
They call themselves ‘Representatives’ of US; what a farce. They have just proven in no uncertain terms if they want someone out – they’re out. Consensus politics like consensus science is nonsense.
Vote Santos back in as quick as possible. Do it because of his conservative voting record!
Get off the slippery slope of communism while We can still stand.
God Help US
He might be able to make a good case to his constituency that in the time he’s been in Congress, he has voted in their best interest…He does have a record now.
But I get the feeling that he’s disgusted with all the unserious Congressional antics. He’s pretty down to earth, & hates the pretending.
ABSOLUTELY . NO . LAW.
His voting is straight on conservative; now you know why he doesn’t deserve a trial.
Tiered politics and law is the slippery slope of communism; where either means nothing but a ‘show.’ And the comedy is non existent. Smiles are the first thing to go in a tyrannic country. Only the sadistic smiles of the ‘leaders’ are brazen. Can’t you see them rubbing their greedy hands.
God Help US
This really is a gross warning; the alarm bells should be going off in every home.
Agree! Strongly agree!
He needs to take his seat back in the special election; NY CD- 03 should overwhelmingly vote him back in.
There’s no law against it is there? Oh, right they make the laws to suit. I’d vote him back in on his voting record, not the put up scandal. I’m like Fetterman in this instance……it’s laughable when actions in different cases are compared.
God Help US
Government ousting a Representative without trial; what’s the big deal; it’s the beginning of tyranny under any name; Nazi, Communist, Fascism, Leninism, or even monarchy.
Vote Santos back in; show ’em whose boss; US.
God Help US
Of Course with God’s help and Santos’ ok. It’s possible IMHO. When He’s hated so badly, makes me think……
Utah ousted Liz; she needed to be disgraced and ousted from office for her shenanigans, but it was done legally……NY has a chance to right the ship.
