Grandparents are extremely important to a child’s upbringing. Every family has their grandma, grandpa stories including myself. How many didn’t pay tribute to them at Thanksgiving? They are always with us if not in person they are with us in spirit.

When I was a kid my parents moved to a new neighborhood so my 2 sisters and I lost our old friends and we only had each other for a while. Then my dad let our only TV stay broken. It was really one of the best things that ever happened to us. We became closer, more creative, more active. It was all good…even though we didn’t necessarily think so at the time.
I raised my Grandson from the age of 3. There were a lot of rocky roads. He was traumatized after his mother committed suicide and his father (my son) was unable to care for him. He is now 27 and is one of the most kind hearted person I know. He is an over the road trucker and calls me every other day to check on me. After many years he finally talks to his Father. I was quite surprised when he was in high school to find out how many were being raised by Grandparents and Aunts , Uncles.

But there is a certain decorum to follow in dressing for going out into urban, non-recreational public spaces , regardless of one’s size.
