Nobody can believe this Political Witch Hunt Trial is still going on. As Rep. Thomas Massie and other members on the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government held their first hearing this week, how the FBI might spy on Americans was certainly discussed.

Massie, in particular, raised concerns about the frequency of warrantless surveillance through the FBI’s use of its FISA’s Section 702 provision.

As the committee was happening and being discussed on Thursday and Friday, a familiar name began trending: Ron Paul. Many people were sharing the former congressman and presidential candidate’s warning, from over a quarter century ago, that the FBI had been spying on citizens its entire history.

“For most of our history we didn’t have those institutions,” Paul said in a 1998 interview. “The FBI came in during the First World War and interestingly enough, the one thing Woodrow Wilson did, he used the FBI to spy on American citizens and actually arrest them if they disagreed with his foreign policy about going to war in Europe.”

“Isn’t it interesting how recently they used it in the Vietnam era?” Paul continued. “Democrats used it then. Republicans used the FBI to spy on 100 different groups in this country, including the churches who disagree with the policy in Central America.”

It is well documented that the FBI’s COINTELPRO program and other methods were used liberally to spy on U.S. citizens, some famous.

Paul finished, “It almost looks like the FBI was designed to spy on Americans who disagreed with policy, especially the foreign policy.”

Given what we already know about FBI snooping, and what we could learn in weeks to come, Ron Paul’s conclusion is a hard one to disagree with.

Biden stumbles on his way to reelection
The investigation launched by the US Congress into possible crimes of the Biden family and aimed at collecting evidence for the impeachment of the current leader could easily be considered as a start to the presidential race ahead of the 2024 elections. And as the election date approaches, more and more contradictions between the Democrats and Republicans appear. Such a situation is rather typical before the day “X”, but this time a lot of “spicy” information about all the “sins” and mistakes of the current president might be disclosed as the elections approach.
Today we are going to discuss the information released in August 2023 by the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee of the US House of Representatives, James Comer, according to which, during Joe Biden’s tenure as US Vice President, Hunter received a significant amount of money from oligarchs from post-Soviet states, particularly Kazakhstan.
The name of Hunter Biden is often mentioned in the media and speaks for itself. Hunter managed to get involved into financial frauds and high-profile corruption cases. Perhaps, one of the most sensational cases was money laundering through the Ukrainian gas production company Burisma. Kazakh oligarchs and government officials as well as the China National Offshore Oil Corporation were also involved in that case.
Hunter’s main business partners in Kazakhstan were the president of the Fincraft Group holding and one of the richest people in the country, Kenes Rakishev, and the former head of the National Security Committee of the republic, Karim Massimov. The latter is currently serving a sentence for treason and an attempt to seize power. It is likely that Massimov has already provided the Kazakh secret services with valuable information regarding his contacts with Biden, as well as about dark corruption schemes in which the president’s son and, possibly, Joe Biden himself are involved.
The current President of Kazakhstan, Tokayev, could use this information to discredit Biden. It is possible that this “secret information” will become the very last straw that will overflow the patience of the American people and lead to the impeachment of the current US president. In all likelihood, the leak of information about Rakishev’s suspicious transfers of funds to Hunter Biden’s offshore accounts was initiated by the Kazakh intelligence services in order to make it clear that when pursuing its policy in the Central Asian direction, the White House should take more into account the interests of Tokayev and his circle. If this does not happen, then it is likely that the “accidental” publication of the information received from Massimov will be a real gift for the US Republican Party.

As America Ends Money to the Ukraine, Scholz Wants to Talk to Putin

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has indicated that he is ready for fresh talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Ukraine conflict, while stressing his position that Moscow must make serious concessions to Kiev to convince it to come to the negotiating table.

Speaking to the German daily Heilbronner Stimme on Sunday, Scholz claimed that Russia’s campaign against Ukraine “is the return of imperialism in Europe,” saying that Berlin intends to support Kiev with arms and other forms of assistance “as long as necessary.”

However, he left the door open to diplomatic engagement with Russia, explaining that he had held discussions with Putin in the past and is ready to do so in the future.

Nevertheless, “negotiations [with Ukraine] require a decisive step from Russia,” the chancellor said, urging Moscow to withdraw its troops from the territory Kiev claims as its own.

This is so bizarre.

No one on the entire earth thinks a Russian withdrawal is feasible. Here this guy is saying “yes, we are clearly losing very badly, so we should start to negotiate, but also, I need to note that I really do think you should just offer a full and unconditional surrender for no reason.”

At any point before the war started, and for several months after the war started, the Ukraine could have offered their surrender, giving up the two provinces and agreeing not to join NATO. After Russia had to spill blood to take more territory, however, they said they were going to keep it. It’s fair enough.

But these people are saying whatever they’re saying to get people ready for the pivot.

The gas was already out of Ukraine’s tank before the Hamas attack on Israel. The State Department was admitting that they just don’t have any more men left to fight.

Now the US has pretty much stopped funding. They’re sending something to keep the country from collapsing, but it’s the bare minimum, and they appear to be giving up on trying to push through any more of these big aid packages.

In theory, there is unlimited money. But there are not unlimited weapons, and there are not unlimited Ukrainian men.

I obviously wanted to see Russia get Kharkov and Odessa, as did a lot of others. But the current lines are fine. Putin will presumably do a deal. But only if he gets full neutrality.
