Today, District Judge Alia Moses issued a temporary restraining order [pdf Here] stopping the Biden administration from removing the barriers.

TEXAS – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has secured an emergency restraining order after federal agents were documented destroying barrier fencing to facilitate aliens’ entry near the Texas-Mexico border. Texas filed the initial lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”), DHS Secretary Mayorkas, and other agencies on Tuesday, October 24, after numerous documented incidents of barrier destruction during a severe immigration surge in recent months.
These instances often included using wire cutters to create gaps in fencing then waving aliens through and assisting their entry in other ways. At times, agents were observed attaching ropes to pickup trucks to enable aliens to scale the riverbank and enter the United States.
By Friday, October 27, federal agents were observed escalating their efforts to destroy Texas’s border barriers, using heavy machinery such as forklifts to uproot large sections of fencing to facilitate mass entry. In response, Attorney General Paxton immediately filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order.
Within half an hour of the filing, the Biden Administration further escalated the barrier destruction, as agents were filmed using a forklift to smash the fencing against the ground repeatedly.
On Saturday, Texas filed additional documentation about this incident, and the motion for a temporary restraining order was granted the next working day, Monday, October 30. The federal court has set the hearing on Texas’s motion for preliminary injunction seeking to prevent the agents’ cutting, destroying, damaging, or otherwise interfering with Texas’s concertina wire fence for November 7, 2023.
“The federal government’s outrageous escalation in response to our lawsuit demonstrates Biden’s disturbing contempt for the State of Texas, for the citizens of the United States, and for our country’s entire foundation of the rule of law,” said Attorney General Paxton. “By acting quickly and monitoring their actions closely, we were able to secure a restraining order, and I am confident we will continue to prevail.” (link)

If the federal government controls 100 miles inward from the border, why can’t the border states install a border wall 101 miles from the border? At what point is Federal encroachment enacted onto state sovereignty? That’s a good question to ask the courts for declaratory judgment.

This is very important to know. If we are looking at long-term (years) breakdown of law and order to essentially jungle law the preparation and reaction to the first stages is much different than if we are entering another season of “mostly peaceful protests”. In the latter instance the need to exercise restraint, perhaps to flee until things calm down is probably a wiser course. How and where to flee is the prep. But if we are entering years of jungle warfare then fleeing may not be the proper response, forting up and staying put may be a better choice. Fed storm troopers kicking in doors to haul us off to camps is a different threat. Invasion by foreign armies? Invasion by the foreign armies already here? Massive terrorist strikes up to dirty bombs or the like? Another but actually effective bioweapon?

While I agree with your skepticism, I was amazed how many Chinese nationals are in my state, conducting illegal marijuana and human trafficking businesses.
One was shut down literally across the street from me. They are not citizens and their financing is coming from mainland China.
How does it happen? One person gets a visa, then buys or rents property, using funds from “overseas”, then sets up a “legitimate ” business. Then imports slave labor from their country to work in the business.
It’s sickening and rampant and the government is either not capable or not willing to clean it out. My bet is both. Wherever there’s big money, corruption slivers in, through government agencies. And not just this business, but everywhere.
So, yes, situational awareness is priority one. I actually regularly check property records for my surrounding counties, as well as state business licenses.
Not saying we can expect someone knocking on our door saying they now own the place, but I wouldn’t discount any theory, at present.
I also gave the “Gift of Fear”, by Gavin deBecker, to my kids and grands. I highly recommend it for everyone in preparation for what’s coming. Because it is coming.

If things go kinetic, a logical conclusion to some suggestions in this thread, like arresting DHS and contractors wasting the border, then a wider breakdown in the functions of society will occur, primary of which are communications, utility and supply chains. I’d expect demolition of critical infrastructure and targeted assassinations and not of who is commonly discussed here, rather shadowy figures and their private armies who actually control things.
I saw this coming back in the 80’s when first getting involved with heavy industry and critical infrastructure. At the time I opined the best way to kill an enemy was to bankrupt them first, then literally kill them. We can see that going on right now with the Communists, through bioweapons, lawfare, and actual killings of citizens, as citizens have been slowly, then more rapidly, bankrupted.

If I wanted to really disrupt things, I would go after the network of pipelines that run FROM the oil refineries, TO fuel depots in every major city.

Focusing on essentials; food, potable water, shelter, energy for heating/cooling, medical care, defence, transportation.
And while prepping is more about short term, survivalist is more long term, and so goes more into self-sufficiency.

Using the strict wording of the order, any repairs or replacement done to fix the damage/removal which has already occurred would not be subject to the order and the fed could act with impunity.

That depends on the judge and the reason for the wording used.
Unfortunately, given the current state of the judiciary in the U.S., it’s at least as likely that the hole was intentional. Even given that it wasn’t intentional, the current executive branch of the government blatantly ignores both judges and laws, as well as slithers through loopholes.
A prime example is ignoring the court’s opinion on the student loan elimination program and using the same type of legalistic maneuvering to go ahead and continue the program in spite of the ruling against it.

This will not be settled in federal courts. Historically they have not been the friend of the States. It will be settled only when Texas decides to throw Article 1, Section 10, last clause (US Constitution) back at the federal government. Nullification works best when you have a State governor that knows his rights and chooses to use them. Abbott either is ignorant of his duty or worse.

IMO the Federal government has openly declared war on Texas and its citizens.
Nothing was done when the FBI/DOJ/DHS targeted parents at school board meeting. Nor when innocents were invited into the Capitol by open doors and Capitol police and then DOJ prosecuted those innocents as if they were terrorists. Nor when the federal government labelled Catholics as extremists. Nor when the White House occupant called all MAGA supporters extremists.
When will we realize that the pact made between the States with the signing of the Constitution has been breached?
