After reading yesterday’s “Site Updates” posting by Sundance, the many comments, and then just reflecting on what’s going on in our country, this next year may be a very rough year.
It’s not only our corrupt federal government institutions, it’s our legal institutions, educational institutions, media, and our society. You can’t trust anyone it seems. We have lost what the Greatest Generation gave us. Those that suffered through the Great Depression and WWII taught us that character mattered. Truth, honesty and being responsible and respectful were what we were taught-No More!
It has become overwhelming that you can hardly trust anyone. Taking an oath of office means nothing. Our Constitution and laws mean nothing to many.
We are evolving into tribes that have been intentionally created to divide us and destroy our country. We have truly lost our way IMO. It’s us, we the people, that have morphed into a society that has allowed this to happen and will be difficult to turn this ship around.
Hate to be so negative and have not given up, but when we can’t even hold the people accountable for breaking our laws and lying about it allowing millions of people from all over the world to illegally engulf our country says volumes about who we are.

In this arrangement, all of the software that is used to manage elections is now completely exposed. The interfaces to “election hardware” are likewise completely exposed. There are no “secrets.” There is no place to “hide.”
And – as I have said – “we have done this before.”
Therefore I now ask you: “why did we ever allow something so vital as ‘election systems’ to remain … proprietary?!” 🤦♂️

WHAT problem are you attempting to solve, and then does this address it.
ONE of the major challenges with the machines, a partbof the CON was this; in SELLING the machines, they emphasised how each machine has its own log, (called “slogs”) that records EVERYTHING that happens, even its GPS location, and every time it is used, any administrator access, etc. and that such logs can NOT be erased or altered,…which is true.
However, for 30+ years since their introduction, any time a loser would challenge election results and attempt to subpoena access to these “slogs” the machine COMPANY ESE, Dominion etc. that made the machines would file an objection with the court, argueing that such accessing of the “proprietary software” would cause irrepetable damage to the company by exposing their software to the competition.
And, for 30+ years judges (possibly bribed/coerced?) agreed. In 2020 a Judge finally rejected this argument, and ordered the machines examined in a relatively minor case involving an initiative to allow MJ dispensaries.
However, that ‘unsealed the machines’ and once opened, tje door has stayed opened.
In KL’s case, computer experts were able to examine the slogs from the machines; its NOT “simple” as they had to analyse millions of “miles” of code, on around 250 sepetate machines.
The analalyses DID show not only what happened in 2022, but also that 18,000 votes were injected in 2020.
That those contesting election results can now access the slogs, is why the dominion algorythm, aka “drop and roll” was NOT used in 2022, and won’t be used again; cause it clearly shows in the slogs.
And, btw it turns out the argument of the companies was a false argument; ALL election machines use the same basic software, with minor changes to adapt it to the specific machine; thete was never any risk of harm to the companies from exposing “proprietary” software to their competition.
Anyway, the software is out there, it just takes a lot of hours to go thru and analyse it.
Oh, and P.S. election laws require challengers to “make their case” within 2 weeks of the election, insuring they won’t have enough time to gain access to and examine the machine slogs.
Perhaps THIS is actually what your open source proposal addresses?
