This is, well, too full of smiles to adequately describe. Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz delivered a resoundingly honest speech to the Republican attendees at the Florida Freedom Summit on Saturday. It is well worth the time to watch, as prompted.
Look, I’m still on the fence with this guy, but his brutal confrontation of the GOPe is some of the funniest and best components of the BIG UGLY so far. The guy has been put through the wringer, hit from every angle, ridiculed by both the left and right, and yet he’s standing there snarking brutal one-liners in their faces while sipping their tears.
It’s so much fun to watch him go full wolverine, and yet so brutal in its abject honesty; quite frankly, it makes him very easy to like. WATCH:

While I agree the US border invasion is a HUGE priority, it has been going on for decades whereas the need for help for Israel is in the here-and-now category.

Last I heard they have passed 5 out of 12 required spending bills representing 80% of the moolah. The remaining 7 cover the difficult parts.

I spent 30+ years in purchasing, inventory, warehousing, etc. The 80/20 rule is widely followed in those arenas. I learned the rule works for most things in life as well, i.e. if 80% of the decisions you make in a day are correct, you should be comfortable with your day. Never expect or demand 100% (perfection). You will never achieve that. Go with 80% and move forward.
I have never heard that rule until today…however the people that work with me I request them to make decisions without calling or texting me. My template is, if you have 10 decisions to make and 8 are right, you have an 80 percent success rate. I’m fine with that.
Always keep in mind – As goes Israel, so goes the USA. For example, Israel was invaded from the southern border, the USA is being invaded from the Southern border. Keep your eyes open, and you will see other parallels between the two countries. Some on the same timeline.

None of those who are critical of Mike Johnson on this matter are familiar with the inner working off Congress and no one seems to have troubled to ask him to explain why he addressed this first and not the US southern border crisis. Until such time it would be wise to hold back on negative comments which may actually border on slander. I remember when I detested and distrusted Donald Trump. I had to watch and listen and more importantly observe the actions. That speech will earn Gaetz no political friends. He burned his bridges. He delivered what no one thought possible.
He has stepped up and wears the target on his back. I will pray for his courage and bravery to hold. The weapons formed against him with be straight from hell.
Stuff your cynicism. He.saw a precarious way forward that NO ONE else even dreamed. He pushed and never stopped. HE DELIVERED. If he does this one great thing he deserves our grateful hearts. I was watching his speech, I was surprised by how direct and in their face he was. It was joyful to hear and watch. I also ended up catching Tim Scott’s speech. I’m at the point with this player where I really dislike him. He’s the “nice” guy who gets along with everyone. His speech was nothing but typical GOPe platitudes. I really wished I could have been asking him questions as he threw out his GOPe platitudes. He’s nothing more than a butt buddy of Ms Lindsey.
