The Israeli war against Hamas is likely to be a long duration event, encompassing several months. The network of tunnels that Hamas has developed under the Gaza strip will have to be targeted methodically in order to try and minimize “civilian” casualties. However, the tunnels are located in places for maximum “human shielding” such as the Shifa Hospital – example above.
We end up watching something akin to a catch-22. Israel can only take this methodical approach, lasting several months, because the U.S. presence is deterring other foreign actors from getting involved. Without the U.S. military presence, the slow and deliberate process of trying to avoid civilian casualties would have to be a lot faster and likely create more collateral damage.
Last point, as we watch the international news feeds of ground reporting on the Israeli War, I again note there was nothing even remotely similar to this type of 24/7 footage from Ukraine. I have said that over and over. Where were the reporters on the ground in Ukraine? I question the safety to reporters on the ground and I question if reporters might get in the way. I just don’t even think that it is a good idea to have them running all over the place.
In Ukraine, foreign correspondents had to follow the State line in that they weren’t allowed to criticize Ukraine/Zel or show them in a bad light. And that’s why we never saw reporters on the ground; and those few we saw/heard, were following Ukraine’s interests.

Israel needs to fill those tunnels full of sea water, or preferably, gasoline. There’s no need to make this difficult. As difficult as it is to admit, the hostages should be considered lost. With that said, given the havoc Israel would unleash, some of those hostages could end of making it back. But either way, in the long term, far more Israelis lives would be saved.

There is a difference between the war in Ukraine and the War against Israel.
In Ukraine, the US under Obama started the hostilities when the US led a coup against a pro-Russian government in Ukraine in 2014. Biden assisted Obama by calling Putin a war criminal for defending Russian speaking people in eastern Ukraine against neo-Nazi attacks by the Ukraine government, and by funding the war in the effort to achieve “regime change” in Moscow.
In the war against Israel, the Obama administration once again started the hostilities by giving Iran billions of dollars in pallets of cash and a nuclear deal that empowered Iran to get a nuclear weapon. Biden then assisted Obama by giving more billions of dollars to Iran, which then funded the Hamas war machine. Hamas was planning this war from the moment Biden left Afghanistan in disaster.
The differences? Ukraine War news reports looked like fake TV sets and while filming there were no signs of war. The war on Israel began with monsters from Gaza beheading babies and setting whole Jewish families on fire.
The similarities? The US government funded Nazis in Ukraine and Nazis in Iran and Hamas. Oh and yes, the CIA worked with the Ukraine Nazis to attack Russian civilians.
The American people know the difference between good and evil. The Biden Administration does not know the difference between good and evil.
The American people, along with the Israelis, consider life sacred, and consider murder a crime. The Islamic fundamentalists consider murder of Jews sacred and consider saving the life of an infidel a crime.
These two cultures are opposites and cannot be equated. The Islamic fundamentalists are evil. Israelis can no longer live with them inside of Israel nor can they survive with them living on their borders.

Hi 47. Contrary to common belief, Israel does not occupy Gaza. Hamas is in control and they do what they want. Israel is not sure where all the tunnels are, however from drones observing cement truck deliveries they do have a good idea where the entrances are. Hamas reactions to bombings, incursions, as well as their missile launches undoubtable give away or narrow down the locations of other entrances. The money for the tunnels comes from outside sources under the guise of humanitarian aid, much of it sent by Qatar and from what I read brought across in suitcases under the eyes of Israel. Of course oil dependent and virtue signaling western countries have also enjoined, playing the role of Mugwumps with their mug on one side of the fence and their wump on the other.

If the anti-war Democrats and Obama had not stopped this the problem would have been solved 20 years ago. There is no other option but for the United States Military to go in now and finish the business. We need to bolster the troops in Syria, retake Iraq and then move into Iran. It also should not be hard to reclaim Afghanistan as we did in 2001 and squeeze Iran from both sides. Israel can do the same with Assad. Put him in a vice between the two forces. It is a good thing the generals disobeyed Trump, because our troops in Syria are an important strategic wedge. And if the other Arab states object, sealing off the Persian Gulf with the US Navy will pull the plug on their party soon enough. We will also need to get our nukes out of Turkey and Ergodan seems to be supporting Palestine.
The only way to make Israel really safe and secure is to execute the original plan and to do that we are all going to need to get behind Joe Biden and this administration as distasteful as that might be. And if China and Russia are going to resist we will need to go hard on in Ukraine and Taiwan with the full arsenal. Africa also needs to be watched as another flash point.
