The slate is set for a Monday evening conference in the Republican House of Representatives as nine GOP politicians have registered by the deadline today to put their names in the nomination process. After the conference meets on Monday night, there will be a secret ballot vote on Tuesday.
The absolute worst-case scenario is Tom Emmer (R-MN) who has just received the endorsement of Kevin McCarthy. Emmer wants to abolish the electoral college for presidential races in favor of a national popular vote. Unfortunately, Emmer likely carries around 70 automatic votes from the professionally Republican caucus.
On the opposite side of that spectrum is Byron Donalds (R-FL) who is pure MAGA and also running for the job.
WASHINGTON DC – The House GOP’s enormous speaker field is officially set, with nine Republicans seeking to somehow unify their splintered party after almost three weeks without a leader.
It’s the most crowded field since former Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s fall 19 days ago. The latest round of candidates includes current GOP leaders — like Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) and Vice Chair Mike Johnson (R-La.) — as well as more surprising rank and file members like Reps. Jack Bergman (R-Mich.). Another last-minute addition, Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Ala.), who serves as GOP policy chair, raised eyebrows on Sunday.
“Any one of those, I think, could get very close to 217. But the question is which one of those can actually cross the finish line,” Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) told POLITICO, referring to candidates like Reps. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), Kevin Hern (R-Okla.) and Johnson. (read more)
Byron Donalds and Mike Johnson appear to be the best options of this field.
McCarthy endorsed the Soros puppet Emmer ? That tells me all I need to know about McCarthy.
All I need to hear is “secret ballot” its latin for “screw you voters ha!”
Without a doubt. How and why is a secret vote even allowed? It sounds like grade schoolers and their secret club… oh wait🙄.
I knew all I needed to know about McCarthy long ago. How much more evidence was needed? And “Air” Jordan is as worthless as McCarthy. Jordan loves the cameras and strongly worded letters. The GOPe is useless. MAGA versus the uniparty for the life of our republic!
Gym Jordan is a FAKE …Talk’s tough dont ever follow through EVER EVER… When you realize the USA is run by a corporatocracy of OLIGARCHS..Every SOB is congress is owned by OLIGARCHS from around the world..We live in the most corrupt country on earth 75% have no clue. Just the facts..Inform all your friend’s neighbors relatives how corrupt the USA is..
Treavor, totally agree but people don’t want to know the truth, especially if you live in or near the swamp.
Amen, that is exactly right. There are uncomfortable truths and then there are flat out lies.
America lost years ago, when a day care was more important then a child, when a school was more important then a child, when humans rights were about abortion not about a child. A child…….the most vulnerable thing we are blessed with to care for and we toss it to wolves.
A child is a pathway to salvation for some, a pathway to wisdom character, moral insight, redemption, it is the highest of honors to be blessed with a child, but we will not embrace that gift. And what we see today is the disruption of that chain of blessings from God.
When a man or woman disregard the life of a child they turn their back on God and his gift exclusively designed for you. It’s packaged in a little innocent vulnerable wrapper, we see as disposable or not too important, fact is it’s us we are neglecting, and destroying. All of Gods greatest blessings are disguised in responsibility and hard work, none are so profound as a child.
The callousness of our nation towards each other is completely unrecognizable by disillusioned individuals, the lies cannot be seen because it will destroy their world of lies. Red pill blue pill. God and his word are able to strip away those lies, like a mirror your world is seen. The longer you read the more details will be revealed. It’s why people run from Gods word, not church, his word.
Imagine when a person steps into eternity after purposely denying truth, it’s been said many still will not except it and cannot understand why they are not in heaven.
Beautifully stated. Thank You!
My emotions were off the chart after hearing what the animals of Hamas did to those innocent children. Even if only 10% of it is true, it is still too much and unimaginable. The religion of peace it is not, nor will it ever be.
Much as I hated to say it you are RIGHT. ALl of our politicians are bought and paid for some how. Raven GATEZ if you did deep enough . The others thing you are right about is 75% of the people in the USA have no clue and could care less. Just away the UNIPARTY likes it. Only answer is a NEW PATRIOT PARTY and that will not happen until TRUMP loses by VOTER FRAUD in 2024. Then just a maybe if he gets PO enough to lead it.
Please stop the nonsense. A new party will not fix the corruption problem. What we really need is to do away with parties. Is your loyalty to the party or the Constitution?
Your missing McCarthy point. Nice thing about puppets is anyone can stick their hand up there.
Snatched the words right outta muh 👄!
Soros soldiers.
“Already knew” about McCarthy.
Amen!
And Emmer
THE SWAMP STRIKES BACK WITH TOM EMMER FOR SPEAKER
Tom Emmer is the swamp’s answer for Speaker. They may try to get him elected with Democrat votes by cutting a deal. Perhaps they will agree to end the investigation against Biden while fully supporting Jack Smith’s absurd investigation against Trump. Tom Emmer is a never-Trump globalist. He prefers Democrats to MAGA. He hates us. In terms of Republicans, he is the worst of the worst. He is a surrender monkey.
The globalists are getting desperate because their precious Ukraine War is not getting funded without a Speaker. We can use that to extract concessions like paying for the war with massive cuts to the Administrative State. If they want $60 billion for the Ukraine War, then we want $60 billion in cuts to the FBI, DOJ, CIA, State Dept., IRS, CDC, NIH, DOD, Education Dept., Washington DC Federal Court, Welfare for illegals, etc. I prefer we make those cuts AND not fund the Ukraine War, but I’m willing to compromise. Instead, these surrender monkeys are going to fund their precious war by cutting a deal with the Democrats because they prefer them to us. Like they say, “The Ukraine War is our number one priority.” Thank you for telling us that. Now, let’s cut a deal because our number one priority is getting rid of the mail-in ballots, and cutting the Administrative State.
Like Lincoln, we are economic nationalists. We prefer tariffs to ensure fair trade. We like strong borders. We do not support endless foreign wars. We do not support the World Economic Forum. We support a Republic, not a Democracy. We are MAGA.
About Kevin McCarthy –
There is something you should know about Kevin McCarthy. He fought vigorously to keep the January 6th video and email from Judicial Watch. He does not want the public to know what actually happened. He enjoys the two-tier justice system because he really isn’t that fond of MAGA. He thinks we deserve 22 years in prison for thought crimes. Please note that the “Pro-Palestine Protestors” who recently occupied the Cannon Office Building and disrupted official proceedings are not in jail without bail. Instead, they will be handled with kid gloves. Radical Communists go see Judge Slapwrist. MAGA patriots get shot in the neck. This is Kevin McCarthy’s vision of justice in America. I thought you should know.
About Matt Gaetz –
While Matt Gaetz should have waited to oust McCarthy until the appropriation bills were finished, and he should have had a plan on how this ends, he did have a point. McCarthy was given ample opportunity to come into compliance with his promises. He chose not to do so. There were no Hunter subpoenas. There was no cooperation to release the January 6th video and email. He sent the House on a six-and-one-half week vacation rather than finish the appropriation bills. He signed Biden’s grotesque Debt Ceiling Bill. In short, he was all talk and no action. We have seen that movie before with the failure to repeal ObamaCare. Remember, McCain went thumbs down.
Conclusion –
Now, having said that, as I view the weak Republican team we have now, I suspect the best we can do is mouth conservative platitudes, and accomplish nothing; however, there is something they desperately want – funding for Ukraine. We can use this as a bargaining chip to get what we want – greatly reducing mail-in ballots and cutting the Administrative State. Hopefully, these surrender monkeys do not destroy the Republican Party by cutting a deal with the Democrats. We shall see. All the chips are on the table.
Receipts –
Kevin McCarthy fights Judicial Watch in court over release of January 6th material.

Tom Emmer supports George Soros’ National Popular Vote Initiative.
They would bring back GDubya or better yet Paulie R. but both those guys have lovely cushy gigs and enjoy the Colosseum chariot races that unfortunately the Great Charlton Heston never wins in DC.
Re “Like Lincoln, we are economic nationalists.”
Your use of “we” may speak for you, but it does not speak for me. Lincoln’s opinion that citizens can and should be forced to live under a governing entity of HIS choosing rather than THEIRS is more like Communism than nationalism.
Reducing mail-in ballots is your second highest priority? Just how do you control what the Blue states’ legislatures are doing?!! With millions of aliens of unknown intentions flooding in, I don’t see how you list that in second place. Be Real. 51 upvotes tells me people are not thinking clearly.
The RINOS are NOT goingvto make any concessions with the Gaetz group, and if they did, why would anyone believe they would honor them?
THAT was what happened with McCarthy, and hecdid not keep any commitments.
Hence, the “best” we can get, is keep it shut down as long as possible, cause no appropriations is better than bad appropriations, and FORCE the RINOS to publically join with Dems, to install an Emmer.
Really the only difference between Emmer and McCarthy is OPTICS, so its not like “we” lose anything.
The RINOS will NOT make a deal with “US” and “we” should have no interest in making a deal with them, as they are not to be trusted.
Its like Israelis making a deal with HAMAS.
Byron Donalds should play the “race card” -“First Black SOTH is a Republican”, to “stick a pin in the eye” of the globohomo racist commiefascist democrap crowd.
Globohomo is part of my daily vocabulary now!
Credit DEVO for that one.
Bingo. Let the RINOs go on record with that one.
But, Mario Diaz Balart and Carlos Gimenez, both of which held out to tube Jordan have supported Donalds. Those two idiots are reps for the neighboring congressional districts down here.
That’s a red flag that deserves a couple of suspicious cats or three.
“First Black SOTH is a Republican”
That’s a poison arrow from the DNC -Donalds has my permission to snatch it, and send it back into the enemy’s heart.
I pray he does not do a John James. I donated to James — not my state.
Byron sounds like the real deal. I pray that he is. Been down this road too many times.
The cabal is corrupt and powerful. Intel is at their beck and call to threaten, set up, eliminate, or lawfare –good people into bankruptcy.
Satan is alive and well spreading evil and destruction Put on the armor of you are going to take them on.
“If”not “of”…..
And show up with a set of giant prosthetic breasts like the shop teacher from Canada and say, “I dare you.”
EXACTLY!!
Affirmative ACTION NOW..!!
NO amount of “shaming” will make ANY difference.
NO Speaker that can get the job, is one “we” want…
“Nobody” for SOTH, is therefore our Candidate.

Aptly named…..and loved for those wise words…in a song!
I’m getting a nice grin out of the fact that I looked at the pictures first, before reading Sundance’s picks, and picked Donalds and Johnson.
Then I read Sundance’s picks.
Kinda made my day 🙂
Same here, I did the same thing, and they were my picks as well.
Exactly the two I felt good about – Mike Johnson and Byron Donalds : classy, smart, MAGA, carry no baggage, and represent their districts well.
Nancy will get her ventriloquist’s dummy with the help of her 5th column.
Nancy should be run out of D.C. along with about 500 others.
Threatening to challenge some of these incumbents in a primary at this point may be an empty threat, and most incumbents know it. In many cases it’s already too late to begin a successful MAGA challenge. First, the deadlines to get on the ballot in a primary start to expire in a little over a week from today.
In November it expires in Alabama and Arkansas. By the end of December it will have expired also in Illinois, California, Texas, North Carolina, and Ohio. The deadlines come rapidly after that. Also, unless our candidates are self-financing or well-financed by others, it’s too late to raise enough money to offer a serious challenge. Remember, incumbents spend every day of the year raising campaign funds beginning from the date they were first elected up through the next election.
We need to start finding challengers now for the 2026 cycle and beyond, assuming we’re all still here.
Here are state and federal candidate filing deadlines for the 2024 cycle:

4/5/24 for OKLAHOMA CANDIDATE FILINGS. Thanks Sir!
Anyone else notice that the post comment link to allow you to see responses to your post, is broken????
That happened to me and I was using an old gmail account so I changed the email address and got notifications back. My guess was Google is shutting down banning anything to do with CTH? Just a guess.
Did not like his response on money to Ukraine. The correct answer is, “Ukraine will get nothing and like it.” I’ll believe his answer on releasing the J6 tapes when I see it.
Ah, the classic Judge Smails retort.
You have to wonder what McCarthy may have been agreeing to (with OBiden) we don’t even know about.
They all stink, every republican is in on the fix.
It’s outrageous. I would have thought that after all that’s been revealed since the 2020 election, more of them would have seen the light and left the dark side of the Republican caucus. That didn’t happen. In fact, most went to places darker and deeper. Leopards indeed do not change their spots, so asking these traitors in Congress to grow a conscious might have been just too much to ask.
…grow a conscience…. although I do sometimes wonder whether these folks are even conscious of their treasonous acts or they just come to them naturally.
“most went to places darker and deeper”
Greed will do that. The corporate lobbyists were handing out a fistful of dollars to those who opposed Jordan, and he wasn’t exactly what I would call a Great choice.
The Congressional power organization is designed to specifically corrupt anyone who comes in with delusions of reform and serving the people. The new guys have to give in a little here and there to accomplish anything. They do so while justifying it by concentrating on ” the big picture”. Eventually they are more corrupt than crusader. This system has been refined for hundreds of years by the two party system. It’s far too late in my opinion to turn this around by voting within the system that has been created. Brace yourselves and pray. We’re headed to hell on earth.
Don’t overstate. At least 25 are not in on the fix.
Arnie,
Provide ANY proof of your assertion, I don’t believe you can.
A part of the defensive system THEY have developed, as described by mark, is the “controlled opposition” system.
This “25” you talk about, is no different than the large group installed as “Reagan Republicans” which included Romney, McStain, Cruz, Rubio,..
Next there were the “Tea Party Republucans” followed by the “Freedom Caucus” Republicans, followed by, followed by,…
It always always boils down to the lesser of two evils.
If Georgia is still important in the professional republican’s game plan, then it seems the Congressman from Georgia will be the next in line for the Speaker’s job.
Never heard of Austin Scott of Georgia, is he a stealth RINO or out and proud RINO?
Austin has strong ties to the Sea Island gang.
They all suck!
Perhaps I’m crazy but wouldn’t switching to a national popular vote help Trump? As opposed to the election coming down to the electoral college votes of 5 key swing states the commies have rigged?
First & foremost, it’s unconstitutional.
Second, you cannot vote your way out of a system that manufactures ballots.
To do so ends THESE UNITED STATES of America. This would finish off State rights and separateness.
Donalds and Johnson have been consistent in their support for Americans, verses the RINO focus on their own prosperity. At this time, I would prefer Byron Donalds. Mike Johnson is a great patriot but he has no leverage to force the RINO vote.
I like Byron, but isn’t he another Club for Growth guy? I wonder how that would play out.
What hasn’t been part of the public discussion are the necessary qualifications for the actual tasks of being Speaker of the House.
Let’s say we get elected a Speaker with MAGA values. It’s only a powerful position if you understand the intricacies of how to wield that power within the House system. If “our guy” doesn’t have the experience, the expertise, the mental attitude required to utilize that position’s power–over people who do have the experience–then what happens?
What I think would happen is that an inexperienced MAGA Speaker of the House would become immediately dependent on his staff. And where would one find staff experienced in the role and opportunities of Speaker of the House?
Exactly. The staff would have to come from the same old offices that put us into this mess.
As an aside… this is the inherent problem with term limits. They unfortunately further empower unelected staff members, who become even more important as the only ones with experience to know how to get things done in our complex, now centuries evolved, system of “self” government.
I don’t mention that to inspire despair, but to emphasize that simplistic answers are not answers at all. We need to give these problems our best and deepest thinking if we’re going to solve them over the next 40 years. Greed, corruption, and evil have been building this system for decades. Just waving a broom at it won’t clean it up.
Correct.
I have addressed the point of the staff running things before. People don’t want to get bogged down in the nuts and bolts of how politics work. They think electing the right people solves the problem. It doesn’t. The system is designed to protect itself.
Congressmen do not select their staff. The staff selects their congressman starting with the staffer with the most seniority. The staff lets the congressman know what they want him to know in order to manipulate him into certain directions.
The Staff are the B team that will continue to BE THERE after their congressman “boss” leaves.
You make a lot of sense.
In the world of education, both Public and Private schools are being fooled when they hire newly educated individuals coming out of Leftist colleges and universities.
Hillary chose to do dirty work in politics and her hubby was too dumb to realize he was giving her a ticket.
Billy Ayers chose to do dirty work in the field of education and he has had much success in destroying our colleges and universities.
The rest has just been gravy for anyone who thinks Marxism and Communism is their ticket to living forever. We will all die sooner or later.
The more I read about Rep. Mike Johnson, the more I like him.
Jack Bergman is a good choice. He is a leader who gets things done.
Tom Emmer, the rino of republican party choice
all the others are just an optical illusion of choice

As stated before, I have personally met with Byron Donalds multiple times as he was my district Rep. He IS the real deal. His speech to our small business group in 2022 was remarkably candid, dead on point, no BS. Byron knows the score, sees the swamp and is a true constitutional conservative.
For those reasons I will be thrilled, and shocked, if he actually gets elected SOH.
I fully expect a Uniparty nominee to get pushed into an election, parlay D votes to trade off our souls, and screw us over.
Agree! To the RINOs Byron Donalds is just Jim Jordon in black face.
Exactemundo.
Then why in the world is Donalds co-chair of Ronna Romney’s Bank Your Vote campaign which will only help uniparty RINOs select winners.
I could go for with Byron.
No speaker; no problem. I’m enjoying the frustrations of the swampers. McHenry’s gavel showed it all. Would like to carry it through to election ’24.
No matter who wins, we lose.
Donalds is the best option in my opinion. He’s string on the boarder which need to handled ASAP. It’s awful. I’m in Chicago to handle some business and went to the Secretary of state office where I was promptly met by “migrants” flipping me the bird. They’re being flown in from all over the world and I suspect Gulf Nations like Quatar and UAE are helping fund this. And as someone else said, you can play the race card with Donalds.
I swear this feels like an op to take the house off the playing field during a critical time. Did Gaetz know what he was doing or was he duped into lighting the fuse?
I know attorneys that know Emmer and even THEY CANT STAND HIM! and you wonder why Minnesota is a F’d up hellhole!
Where is Matt Gaetz?
I’m not saying he was wrong to want McCarthy but the media is not reporting his position on this Republican fiasco.
The Reupublican must unite around President Trump or die. Elect President Trump to a limited term as Speaker to repair the Republican caucus and then unite to vote for a Speaker chosen by President Trump.
It is the only solution.
I suspect the GOPe Trump haters would vote for Ilhan Omar as Speaker before they’d do that.
Sadly, that is not going to happen. If Jordan can’t get the nod, how is Trump going to get it?
God Help Us!
Gary Palmer is inept, inarticulate and slow. Besides that, his instincts are bad and entirely flexible. Just a vacant representative. Void and without form.
The R Party should be mercibly euthanized!
It seems conspicuously obvious, in this obscene circus, there’s virtually zero discussion about who the voters might want as speaker. Isn’t it supposed to be “the peoples house”? Not one of these people will attack the evil Democrats with the extreme prejudice they deserve. Not one will defend Trump from law fare. Not one will stop the torture of J6 protesters. Not one will stop Democrat cheating. Not one will impeach anyone.
You cannot save the Republican Party. We can only destroy them and rebuild on the ashes. “What the hell do we have to lose?”
If McCarthy had kept his word NONE of this would be happening. Why doesn’t anyone BLAME the liar? Just sayin’.
I have nine picks for speaker as well; Jordon, Jordon, Jordon, Jordon, Jordon, Jordon, Jordon, Jordon and Jordon.
BYRON! BYRON! Yes!
None of the nine get enough votes, and MCCarthy gets back in. The end.
Yeah the villain isn’t really dead until his head is literally cut off.
For what it is worth, here is one metric to consider regarding the above nine Congressman who threw their hat in the ring to be speaker after the Deep/Intelligence State forced the removal of Jim Jordan from the race. According to: Liberty Score Conservative Review (https://libertyscore.conservativereview.com) this is each members voting record (from a conservative viewpoint).

I called my Congressman’s office this morning and told them that under NO circumstances is he to support Tom Emmer in any way. He should support Byron Donalds.
Called my Congressman’s office and said the same thing!!!
Emmer wants to abolish the electoral college for presidential races in favor of a national popular vote
========
does that not require ameding constitution ? and approval by states!
Yes, it does. What Emmer latched on to is a change on how the states award their electoral votes.
Solution to secret ballots: secure our elections and vote out all but 7 (not including Buck) who ousted McCarthy.
Btw, I wouldn’t call Donalds “pure MAGA” while he is co-chair of Ronna Romney’s Bank Your Vote campaign which will help uniparty cheaters select winners.
I’m done with the republican party. The only republican I will definitely vote for is Pres Trump. After the FL primary I’m going back to “no party affiliate.”
Why not elect a speaker from a Red state?
As the recent attempted impeachment of Paxton in Texas, and the earlier partial Az. Audit clearly demonstrated,…
There are NO “RED STATES” nor as a close look at NYS, MASS or DEL. demonstrate, are their any true “BLUE” States; they are just PAINTED that way.
I am rooting for the non-lawyer Speaker candidate who didn’t at least double his net worth after taking office.
According to all of the House Speaker election related conversation:
THERE IS NO ACCEPTABLE CANDIDATE
Think of it. No matter who we might get, there’s a boat load of people, including Sundance, stating why they shouldn’t be House Speaker. I think that much is generally understood.
What I don’t see is Sundance or anyone else recommending a speaker. None at all. Not even one a half of us would agree upon. Here’s what I also see about this ongoing conversation:
IT’S VERY LEFTIST
Because when we usually see a problem, we usually come up with answers on how to resolve it. The left is build around negative agreement — that X is bad and we are not X. (I don’t mean former Twitter) In another way, they agree that “Those people are bad, and we are not those people.” Similarly we are saying “These people are bad, and we don’t want these people” which is “destructive” and not in the slightest bit “constructive” which is usually the hallmark of people on the right.
CONSTRUCTIVE, NOT DESTRUCTIVE, IS THE HALLMARK OF THE RIGHT
I think we can generally agree with that statement. Why aren’t we being constructive? Personally, I think Jim Jordan would have been the best option despite all of the other controls in place which would have likely compromised the man and his public image. But he’s not running any more because people like us didn’t support him with enthusiasm.
Faulty premise leads to faulty coarse of action.
The SYSTEM is irreparably broken, it can NOT be fixed.
Hence, the only coarse of action is demolition.
Far too many are terrified of what that would actually look like, and so keep trying to prop it up or “fix” it, rather than just pulling out the bracing and supports, and standing back.
I’m not terrified of the demolition. Whether controlled demolition or uncontrolled, the only way it could work as a strategy is if US military leaders (think George Washington) took over the government and tried everyone for treason and then sat in power running the elections. Anything short of that would run the risk of an even worse government going forward.
That said, we’re not going to get the results we want as quickly as we want any other way.
Why? A little history that no one talks about will remind us of the ways history rhymes:
In 1961, JFK fired the longest serving CIA director for creating and enacting US foreign police without presidential oversight or approval. (Sound familiar? Remember when Pompeo ordered an attack in a foreign country without Trump’s approval?)
Not long after that, JFK was assassinated.
To head up the investigation into this murder was Allen Dulles. Who was Allen Dulles? That’s the former CIA director JFK fired. (Sound familiar? Wasn’t a corrupt former FBI director put in charge of investigating Trump? Wasn’t corrupt Dr. Fauci put in place of answering about the origins of C19?)
Even before the CIA trying to run the world under the US flag, there was J. Edgar Hoover, the known corrupt FBI director who kept all sorts of blackmail on people in power.
But JEH and Dulles STILL have prominent DC area buildings and locations named after them as if they were to be HONORED.
We need more Trumps to ensure things happen but among the first things needed is destruction of the deep state, not the country.
The constitution is great. It just needs to be followed and enforced. We don’t need demolition. We need to think past the sale. Think reconstruction.
I picked up on something that I thought was relevant on War Room awhile back.
Bannon was discussing with someone with supposed “inside knowledge” on what made McCarthy a big time player.
Of course it was the ability to collect money. McCarthy never brought much of anything else to the table.
They said that McCarthy was sitting on the big donors needed to fund the 50 million they “required” for the next cycle (quarter?) of elections.
What if the person we wanted for the speakership was sitting on 50 million? (funded by us instead of big corporations)
In other words, could we take the place of the lobbyists?
Probably not. If the GOP as part of the uniparty are owned by corrupt corporations then they likely wouldn’t be interested in “clean” money. Glass half empty analysis?
McCarthy was Davos’s guy. That’s globalist money and lots of it. The Gaetz move was sovereigntist, so this is Davos (and JoeBama) fighting back to try to regain, or maintain control of the purse strings. They want to explode spending for their WWIII effort, ruin the currency, get us fighting on as many fronts as possible. That’s always been Obama’s gig.
I’m tired of money being the only way to get the voters choice into office. What happened to “the most votes”?
Why do we accept bribery as the only means to get the best candidate elected? We didn’t make that rule, the bastards who personally profit from it made the unwritten rule.
Nothing in our federal government works the way the founders and the Constitution intended. It’s all graft, bribery, cheating, lying, and immorality.
IMHO it’s way past time we stop accepting the current corrupt system and start publicly demanding our allegedly “elected” representatives be honest with their constituents and show full time fidelity to Constitutional principles.
Let’s start with outlawing secret ballots…it’s outrageous.
Yes!
Agree! Gotta start somewhere.
A good place to start is to throw them all out. Every last one of them.
They have all violated their Oaths of Office to “defend and protect the Constitution of the United States.”
There’s nary a bill gone forth in the last twenty years that isn’t nearly totally tarnished with unconstitutional spending. Toward our great demise!
Until we have a clean slate of constitutionally correct Americans in office, we’re all just spinning our wheels, I’m sad to say.
I can’t disagree with you; however, it’ll take a few years to turn 0ver the entire Congress due to staggered and overlapping terms
Perhaps a few Mussolini necktie parties are in order?
You know, to accelerate the replacement process?
good luck finding quality replacement parts.
VERY TRUE! Especially with the extreme resistance put up by state (Establishment) GOP organizations, as Sundance has previously explained..
Yeah, what is up with that anyway? I don’t remember secret ballots….
Interesting trivia from House.gov….
In what way are secret ballots consistent with the duty and performance of representative democracy?
Any elected politician who doesn’t speak out and act out against it supports it, by fiat of action or inaction.
We need to stop electing politicians who refuse to support representative democracy. Apparently, we, the voters, need to make this a central issue in modern political elections.
Res Ipsa Loquitur.
If only a few cranks complain, they don’t bother listening. If a lot of voters complain, they’ll listen until the day after Election Day.
The only way to be sure is to elect people with principles.
We have some in the House right now: Donalds, Cammack, Stephanik, and a lot of others in the Freedom Caucus. We certainly don’t have a majority of the GOP House delegation. We have about a dozen in the GOP Senate caucus.
We have a way to go.
You cannot complete any of this without a convention of states. No term limits, no election and lobbying reform, no political hacks running the DOJ, FBI, and CIA.
You wanna clean all this shit up? Only by a convention with a strict rule of law.
IMO We don’t need a COS because we don’t need any changes to the Constitution. You’d think that would help but only if courts enforced them. That’s the problem.
The courts are corrupt and aren’t enforcing existing Constitutional law. They’ll ignore new laws too until the corrupt judges, corrupt AGs, and corrupt DAs are exposed and removed. That means getting the right representatives into state legislatures and Congress.
Citizens have to be warned about the media lies when MAGA candidates run against corrupt incumbents. The media always spread lies about anti-establishment challengers because the media are part of the national corrupt establishment.
IMHO, the most vital amendment, is the 10th and its NOT that the Courts aren’t adhearing to it, so much as the States, and We, the People aren’t.
Our elected STATE Representatives, pretty accurately reflecting the interests (or LACK of interest!) of the People, have not USED the 10th to aggressively push back against Fed. Gov. overreach.
Thats not on the Courts, if States don’t bring a case, challenging Federal overreach, it is passive aquiescence.
And if WE, the People likewise did not pressure our State Governments, to challenge and rebuke Fed Gov. overreach, we were signalling acceptance.
Again, thats NOT on the Courts, thats on us.
From what I’ve seen at the macro level (i.e., mostly actions and results) there are damn few “red” states with truly conservative legislatures, and even fewer with any real pro-MAGA majorities.
To be fair, I hardly ever go searching for state-level political news; I only see what makes the more widely-read alternative media headlines. But what has stuck in my mind is how Republicans in too many key states in the 2020 election fraud fought tooth and nail to NOT investigate or change anything.
The impression that I have developed over the past 3 years is that there are a boatload of Republican political wimps who were elected into state legislatures and who have little to no testicular fortitude to push back on the corrupt governors, AG’s, or Secretaries who had a hand in subverting the 2020 election results, aad who vehemently defended n the fraudulent results, denying any fraud or attempts to audit the machinery or ballots.
The people can only try to fix that at the polls, so we are disadvantaged right there. But for a very few isolated cases, the courts repeatedly rejected litigation from citizen plaintiffs who rightfully claimed harm from the fraud. Courts are supposed to be our last resort but the Commie Globalists destroyed the integrity of most of them too.
In a heavily republican state they rig the primaries see dirty Mitch and Wesley Morgan. Then the republican candidate is a lock vs the dem. This also lets them avoid a lot of scrutiny. But the globalists don’t care about party affiliation see Kemp.
Yep. It’s why those RINOs objected so strenuously to the loud accusations of election fraud – they’ve probably been beneficiaries of some election rigging for several previous elections…
Yep.
It’s not enough to bitch and be right. There’s no moral high ground in that.
We need to stop behaving stupidly and face our indolence that normalizes the parasites we elect now feeding in political office. Whether it’s feeding on other people’s money, narcissistic supply or both, it’s a bad deal for the rest of us.
We need to break out of the rhetorical traps and stop using the cliche created by our handlers for us to mimic and use. Start discussing in new ways about the deeper issues damaging our mutual interests and what action to take among ourselves.
Singing the same old “somebody did something wrong song” is pure folly; a crafted illusion to blind us as we stumble down the proverbial Road To Hell our predators have prepared for us, mostly oblivious to our stupidity.
This is a big part of the living lesson Trump is trying to teach us all. May God Bless him and the personal price he’s paid. We need to think about our role in that.
Never forget that praise and adulation can also be a form of abandonment. It is not enough to be for something. We could all be doing more as dutchman has so boldly pointed out.
Fed revenue sharing is the opiate of the states, as are unfunded mandates.
States want fed money to cover their profligate spending, hence the need for the Omnibus spending.
They are ALL complicit. We need for our states to refuse fed money. Yes, people will scream, but if we hold to it, the gimmee-gimmees will leave and go somewhere else.
GB Bari, thanks for your thoughful comment but I am forced to respectfully disagree.
The mere notion of Convention of States has the uniparty demagogues shaking in their boots. They want to kill it – and yet, one state at a time, the movement is gaining momentum, largely as an outcry against what a tyrannical would-be constitutional government in this nation has become.
I would trust a convention of delegates chosen at state level moreso than the top-down corrupted and entrenched non-constitutional bureaucratic political machine now in charge to reset the course of this nation – if it’s not too late.
Working through channels, asit were, now that our elective system has been corrupted, and moreover, now that our voices have been muted to a controlled opposition, no longer works. We must face those facts. We must mover forward with a look in hindsight at our previous century’s history.
What has become of our constitution since Woodrow Wilson? I’d like to see a roll-back to a pre-Wilson constitution, for the most part, with exceptions such as the of guaranteed suffrage for all of our citizens.
Keep that part, and a few others, but in fact there are too many instances in which unchecked executive authority or the cancerous growth of the internal police and spy network need to be constitutionally thrown out and mandated never again to exist. A stiff and enforceable accountability to state oversight has to be instituted at so many levels that I won’t bother to list even a few.
The ultimate threat of a modified Balkanization into several subgroups of states via legitimate constitutional convention, rather than another attempt at confederated withdrawal, is a notion the centralized socialist uniparty in DC doesn’t want – it would fragmentize their hold on power and reduce the remaining federal government to nothing more that was foreseen by the framers of the first permutation of the Constitution. The shift to sub-groups of states would be as natural as, say, cell division in a growing organism.
Instead of that kind of cell division, to extend the analogy (and I think it is applicable,) what we now have for central government is a cancer.
Our federal establishment, having long since exceeded its original purpose, could be biologically likened to a mutated overgrowth of one group of cells that has all but killed the organism it invaded.
The analogy extends from there. The cancer won’t kill itself.
We will have to agree to disagree for now.
A LOT of Lefties have been / still are salivating for a COS; they only need 38 states to ratify any new amendments or changes to existing amendments. And with the levels of globalist-funded corruption among Republicans (Uniparty RINOs), there’s no guarantee they won’t $ell us out.
Few politicians – especially legislators – have been able (or even took the time) to look ahead and realize the potential huge problems their proposed legislation will cause. IMHO they take the word of the lobbyists who wrote the bills and vote based on that unconfirmed “spun” narrative. They’re greedy and lazy.
Until such time as the majority of states have legislatures with a veto-proof majority of UNcorrupted, ethical, PRO-MAGA members (Republicans or Independents or whatever), a COS is like playing hot potato with the Constitution wrapped around a hand grenade.
Peace.
38 states seems like a heavy lift to me. If 38 states are willing to amend the constitution, I don’t see much hope in enforcing the current one against the wishes of 38 states. Now there is a possible wrinkle in that Congress can call for state ratification conventions. Can’t see that happening, but it’s in there. The idea that somehow the US Gov’t will just start following the constitution as MAGA reads it seems to me pretty wishful thinking. I don’t see any magical way the USG suddenly starts enforcing the 10th Amendment against itself.
Constitution requires 3/4ths of the states to approve (ratify) Amendments & changes.
50 x 3/4 = 37.5 or in whole integers, 38.
— “MAGA”conservatives are general strict constructionists who prefer to stick to what was written, literally.
— RINOs who claim to be conservatives impress me as not giving a rat’s ass who interprets the Constitution as long as the RINOs can make lots of money with it.
— Progressives, OTOH, want to “interpret” what was written to fit their preferred communist/socialist outcomes. Hence, their appointed judges generally try to “legislate from the bench”, quite successfully in past years, but that ruse may be waning in popularity.
I advise you do not open that door. Nobody you can trust will be in that room.
Thank you, sir. Our existing Constitution is good enough. It just needs to be enforced.
Your bar association is rotted and corrupt. That is who decides who can be lawyers, who can be judges. Your enemies decide.
I have no doubt!
With all due respect.
The American people control nothing. How on earth could we possibly control the outcome of a COS? That shining document would be ground into powder and never seen again on this planet.
If you control nothing, then why do you think the status quo would give different results?
Nope, CoS – that’s the sucker’s move with all the illiterates, illegals and voting.
Put’s you/us/US in some feudal / 3rd world status before you know it.
It’s the informed productive people able to resist the encroachments that count.
CoS results would be like the Constitution devolved 100x faster.
.. and unleashes all the corrupting incentives and influences lurking in Pandora’s Box.
Bottom up builds the nation.
Top down destroys it.
This brought Citizens United to my mind. Remember that? As an archivist, I happened on this in my files. Also I think there is a lot of foreign money coming in. How much of that ends up in McCarthy’s hands, I don’t know.

Thanks Sundance.
That’s a good point and recall of Sundance’s article / discussion from last November.
I feel even more strongly now than I did last year (see my two comments from Nov. 2022 as linked below) but overall my opinion has not changed and it is apparently the opinion of a majority of those who voted in Sundance’s poll. I am 100% thumbs down on CU as well as thumbs down on allowing union bank accounts to contribute.

Let me add – The Constitution addresses individual rights as citizens of the USA. Corporations are not humans, they do not have inalienable rights from God, they cannot vote, nor serve in the military. They are purely business entities or accounting entities for non-profits.
Thing is, all corporations have people owning and running them. Those people generally draw compensation from the corporation, the amount of which is used for individual income tax reporting and other personal financial asset-based issues.
Neither corporate bank accounts nor union bank accounts should be allowed to contribute to political campaigns or to any non-profit set up to benefit any single or group of politicians.
Let the people who run the corporations contribute from their personal bank accounts and be limited as are all other individuals to the individual contribution limits.
ALSO suppressed is the detail of McCarthy appointed (2023 January) Unit: Michael Turner OH-10 to chair the House Permanent Select Committee on “Intelligence” aka HPSCI. In short order investigations into the CCP and their marionettes in the U.S. legislature and funding mechanisms like Sequoia Capital and others were crippled. Wonder why? Turner has proven to be profoundly unqualified in a historical predicate as he currently is related to the CCP and Ukraine as are his kindred ilk. Worse yet, he’s an arrogant bastard. Thus far and although we’re in “Don’t Mess With Texas” with our own set of idiots we see no qualified 2024 challenger/s to threats like Turner. None of this will change if this predominantly ill-informed electorate continues to vote, alt doesn’t at all, act on what they “think” vs. facts more easily sourced than at any other time in U.S. History. We are in existential danger parallel with a significant electoral component functionally unconscious in what seems to be a lust for self extinction. This was again confirmed by the 2022 November mid-terms and also by state elections/referendums in Wisconsin, Kansas, Ohio, Michigan.

I read McCarthy raised over $500 million…
During what period? And from what ilk? He damn sure hasn’t raised nearly that much thus far in 2023. https://ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/news/2023/10/06/mccarthy-ouster-speaker-republican-fundraising and NY1’s stats in this arena are reputable. As of 12 July 2023 he’s raised $62.5M over $51M just into the disastrous 2022 midterms. And as of 12 July he transferred $17.6M to his selected sellouts in the House campaign arm, the NRCC and $8.3 million directly to GOP incumbents. For 2022 stats https://www.opensecrets.org/elections-overview/most-expensive-races. Here you can see the effect of incumbency on low info normie DOPES. I see very little to no correlation of dollars spent vs realistic intelligent America 1 messaging backed up with well enunciated facts targeted at specific voting blocks – less record spend$. Many times it makes NO difference at all. Case in point – PA’s Fetterman who could have spent less than 80% of what they blew on him and those morons still would have elected their mutant despite Oz also being a loser. McCarthy’s net worth “estimates” range from $300K to $45M. Deceit rules in the FUSA.
