The House of Representatives is currently debating the removal of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Earlier today, Democrats unanimously joined with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and 11 conservatives to support advancing the speaker’s removal. Now Matt Gaetz is defending himself.
(Via Politico) – The Republicans who voted to proceed to a final vote on evicting McCarthy were Reps. Warren Davidson (Ohio), Eli Crane (Ariz.), Ken Buck (Colo.), Victoria Spartz (Ind.), Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Matt Rosendale (Mont.), Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Bob Good (Va.), Nancy Mace (S.C.), Tim Burchett (Tenn.) and Cory Mills (Fla.). Spartz has already said she plans to flip her stance and ultimately support keeping McCarthy on.

This has become modus operandi for Hoosier legislators. They get the sound bite that they will vote one way (to oust McCarthy) and then they flip midstream (to save McCarthy’s butt and retain him), but the original sound bite still exists.
They’ve been playing this wicked game here in Central Indiana for the last two legislative sessions that I’ve been carefully witnessing.
They are mastering the art of the FLIP FLOP and they don’t count on the voters witnessing it.
Unfortunately, Spartz isn’t going for reelection, but I imagine she has her eyes on loftier seats and positions within government. I’m much dismayed that she is switching her votes. If she does, she’s not the popular firebrand she portrays!!!!!
For example: They create legislation to protect children. Let’s say bill # 1234 and whip up support among say the Moms for Liberty – just for example/sarc. Then, during committee – they rewrite the bill to where the bill actually attacks the very same children the bill was originally proposed to protect – and the public is none the wiser about the last minute rewrites. However, M4L is still rooting and wooping up support for the bastardized bill. They are quite literally weaponizing M4L and making them appear like utter fools for taking the bait time and again.
Then, about 90% of the time, the bill dies – thus wasting an entire legislative session on bills that are never intended to see the light of day. It is such utter B.S.
These are our “Representatives” at work… but they are not working for us!!! They are busy keeping the American public, including President Trump…. busy, busy, busy.
