McCarthy used the standard tactics to try and isolate Gaetz. First he tried to buy him off with committee assignment. Then McCarthy tried to insult and intimidate Gaetz by saying the adults in the room needed to pass the CR. And then McCarthy dared Gaetz to pull the trigger.
