The U.S. Senate passed the stop gap spending CR (Continuing Resolution) extending government funding for 45 days. The Senate vote was 88-9. Mike Lee, Bill Hagerty, Ted Cruz, JD Vance, Eric Schmitt, Rand Paul, Roger Marshall, Mike Braun, and Marcia Blackburn voted against the CR. The CR ends November 17th.
There was no additional funding for Ukraine in the House or Senate bill. DC is going bananas, claiming that everyone supports additional multi-billion expenditures for Ukraine, but during a Senate Republican meeting earlier today, even John Thune told Mitch McConnell the ask for more Ukraine funding was a bridge too far.
The bill will now go to Joe Biden for signature, and the temporary “govt shutdown” crisis is delayed. There is a complete disconnect between the will of the American people, and the priorities of the DC Uniparty.
Joe Biden responded to the bill, noting the importance of an additional funding mechanism for Ukraine.
“While the Speaker and the overwhelming majority of Congress have been steadfast in their support for Ukraine, there is no new funding in this agreement to continue that support. We cannot under any circumstances allow American support for Ukraine to be interrupted. I fully expect the Speaker will keep his commitment to the people of Ukraine and secure passage of the support needed to help Ukraine at this critical moment.” (link)
Senate Majority Leader, Chuck Schumer, speaking on behalf of Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, echoed a similar statement:
[WASHINGTON DC] …”It’s been a day full of twists and turns, but the American people can breathe a sigh of relief. There will be no government shutdown,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said shortly after passage.
The package is a departure from Senate leaders’ original ambitions to include Ukraine aid in the short-term funding bill. The final version of the bill — which overwhelmingly passed the House with bipartisan support Saturday afternoon — only includes disaster relief alongside regular government funding. Senate Democrats now say they’ll be seeking a supplemental bill to continue assisting Ukraine in its war against Russia.
“Most Senate Republicans remain committed to helping our friends on the front lines,” said Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. (link)

My understanding is Russia entered to protect ethnically Russian individuals in the two Eastern provinces. They also at the same time appear to have raided all known bio weapons labs. I did find it strange that after trying to cover up a bioweapon from the Wuhan lab for almost two years…suddenly Wray/Redfield/and others declared the bioweapon came from Wuhan. I’m counting on President Trump to take charge again, but if we get screwed over again, what would be the plan if so. Do we just keep waiting for the old evil ones to die off one at at time? I for one would like an analysis on the money trail. We taxpayers send it to Ukraine, I keep hearing it returns to the DC criminal cartels. But I find no hard data showing just how it occurs. Perhaps someone can recommend a place where I can follow the details?! I’m a simple man

But more importantly, as someone that was a public auditor for some time, it’s done through contracting firms that the politicians are connected to one way or another. Whether they own stock in them, own them outright, sit on the boards, have family that own it. Etc etc.
THAT is how the money gets back to them for the most part. But make no mistake, when you see stories of high ranking officials wives getting caught leaving the country with $30 mil in a bag, that is intended to make its way back to crooked politicians. It’s just one of many ways. But it is indeed on its way to multiple pols pockets.

Trump is the only ride going opposite of off the cliff. He always will have my support. Nevertheless, I so wish he would have carried through on his proposal in early 2021 to break off from the GOP and start a new party. Instead, he changed his mind after Kevin McCarthy frantically flew to Mar-a-Lago to convince him otherwise.
Yes, yes, I realize the ballot access hurdle for breaking off from the GOP and starting a new party, but I remain unconvinced if not further convinced you will never sufficiently Magafy the GOP. Rinos aren’t the problem. They are a perpetual and inevitable bad symptom of deeper systemic problems which creates them.

That was my exact position in 2015. I said if Hillary wins in 2016 I’m voting hard left from then on. After 8 years of Obama if Americans were actually willing to vote four more years then I wanted it all to collapse faster so we could start the rebuild sooner.
After four years of Trump, and just a small taste of what this economic engine is capable of, I don’t want that anymore. I want to take back everything with ACTUAL AMERICANS AT THE HELM. Imagine what America would have been if we had followed the constitution as it should be. If we had never created the fed reserve, or any of the bull shit immigration laws, etc etc. America would have been like nothing the world had ever seen.
We would have been so powerful we wouldn’t have any homeless, we would have a deep faith in God, and we would have actually been able to help other countries with our excess wealth instead of bribing them to do evil things for us.
All those years I hated middle easterners for calling us the great Satan. The truth is, our government officials are exactly that, satanic scum. Who knows if middle easterners would have turned to the extremists they are if we hadn’t given them so many reasons to.
It’s all so disappointing when you actually wrap your head around what’s really going on. It’s shameful. We could have been such a greater country and people.
