Once again, the innuendo and supposition by Ken Paxton accusers runs into reality. Previously Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s personal assistant, Drew Wicker, made an accusation that a Texas donor named Nate Paul funded a kitchen remodel for Paxton. A quid pro quo to sell influence.
However, during cross examination today, Drew Wicker admitted the kitchen remodel never took place, and the actual details of the home remodel being done by Paxton was taking place *after* the office “whistleblowers” went to the FBI with their ungrounded claims. Paxton’s attorney Tony Buzbee showed Drew Wicker pictures of the kitchen taken three years ago and also taken last month. There was never any remodel work completed. This is the central point of the alleged bribery. WATCH:
The prosecutors tried to deny the pictures were correctly dated or real, and then Tony Buzbee says let’s drive over there and look at the kitchen your honor. 😂🤣😂
The baseline of this entire impeachment has become a joke. A bunch of Bush aligned prosecutors, and staff from Texas, manufactured a case of rumor and innuendo against Attorney General Ken Paxton simply because Paxton defeated George P. Bush, their preferred candidate.
I would argue that the primary objective of this fiasco, to put it mildly, was to radicalize the left against MAGA. Not to remove Ken Paxton; that was a secondary concern or “perk” if you will.
If you watched any of the MSM depictions of this case when it started, it was hyped that Paxton was a corrupt right wing (MAGA) operative that was so bad, his own party was going after him. That narrative and its damage is done. There will be no effort to correct the image of Ken once he is rightfully exonerated.
“They” need keep the country divided and they need that gap to be as wide as possible. That is the goal here. This provides the confirmation bias needed for your loony left neighbors and co-workers to flame their hatred of all things right of Stalin.
Thanks for keeping up with this and enlightening us. I lived in Austin 20 years. Still hard to understand what the hell is going on with this. I do know the Bush carpetbaggers are the lowest deceitful type of human.
Someone should be disbarred .
This just shows that the actual Civil War can not begin against the Democrats until the 21st Century Republican movement defeats the oligarchs who control the Republican party. In Georgia, Colorado, Arizona, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and in Washington DC the Republican Party is a deep state entity, it does not represent the American People or any ideas relevant to the problems facing this country. These post WWII Globalists with their imperial ambitions and New World Order have infested the Grand Old Party and they need to go.
In Minnesota it’s “Growth and Opportunity Party” and the establishment is all in on Ronna but the grassroots is against Romney light.
Great post and oh so true. But there is no difference between the Bush-McCain GOPe and the Obamaistas.
Over ruled.. thanks Dan Patrick..
Don’t be too quick to defend Patrick. He is as much of a Swamp Rat as the rest of them are.
Hence the phrase “beating the Bushes”.
Actual President Truman said it best: “If you can’t hand-Impeach, get out of the kitchen remodel.”
I quote from memory. Tim Allen’s.
I see a national correlation here. These prosecutors have fabricated a case with false witnesses and denial of true evidence in order to convict what seems to be an innocent man. The judge in this case is acting in a constitutionally legal manner and not an agenda driven one. If one lawyer can expose the prosecution so easily then why are they even bringing the case? There is something else going on here. They know he will be found innocent. Perhaps a predicate for his run for senate/governor? Perhaps draining Paxton of money? Don’t know. But there is something else going on. The denial of evidence and smear of the defense attorney when they know they are going to be exposed v the righteous counterpunch by the defense is fascinating. So I believe something else is at play. Time will tell.
Character assassination, even if and when he is proven innocent of the charges. There will be people that will believe what they want to believe and damn the facts.
Read License to Lie by Sidney Powell and you will clearly see this type of prosecution in action at the Federal level.
State and Federal governments are filled with lawyers like these because they have an endless supply of money from the taxpayers, and they aren’t being prosecuted for misconduct.
We need to turn the tables on our governments. That may mean dissolving our State and Federal legal/judicial systems as they appear to be corrupt from the top to the bottom.
Couldn’t finish her book, after she gushed over Emmitt Sullivan
I used to get stalled/blocked by things like that. Eventually, I stumbled into facts that I would have been exposed to had I made the mental note to discount that section and pressed on. Then the number of facts I missed like that grew and I became more aware of the missing fact’s importance to the big picture.
No source is reliable on everything. Few sources are unreliable on everything. All spin, even if outright lies, is useful to understand the beliefs, personalities, and wills to do evil at what level as part of the complete picture.
Over time, you begin to learn how to spot the lies, how to put them in context, how they are useful. And you don’t miss valuable facts because you stopped due to one outrage. At least that’s how it’s played out for me.
At least for me, it’s all part of the picture, part of understanding the truth.
A couple of recent books I’ve read show the need to bear with an author’s stupidities when he has something important to say that isn’t stupid, but the stupidities definitely do raise a red flag and cast doubt on how sound this author can be on other matters.
One is JFK Junior’s book on Fauci. It seems very compelling, and if RFK’s narrative can be trusted it is thoroughly damning. Fauci is a serial mass murderer.
But every time he opens his mouth about Trump he reveals himself to be a total ignoramus and yet cock sure in his radically biased ignorant judgments, which is exactly what we always see from the left: they know nothing and yet are completely confident in the completely ungrounded positions they take.
If RFK is doing this on Trump, could he be doing it on Fauci? I have to take everything that JFK Junior says with a grain of salt, maybe a hefty pinch of salt.
Yet in the case of Fauci he seems to be writing about well documented things, and there are a lot of highly credible people who share his judgment of Fauci and how he has been falsifying American medical research for 40 years.
A similar example is Helen Joyce, whose book Trans is very useful, yet she too reveals herself to be a confidently bigoted ignoramus every time she mentions Trump. It’s obvious she gets all of her information from reading our Democrat-controlled press, which is exactly the kind of person we can’t trust.
So she went and investigated one area and got some information for herself instead of getting it from left-wing sources. Good for her. But if she still hasn’t figured out that she’s being lied to by the left-wing press and can’t trust them on anything else either, then she’s still basically a dingbat.
Hard to find people who aren’t stupid about a lot of things, but as long as they’re smart about something they can still be useful for that.
That was BEFORE the Mike Flynn debacle and she had reason to praise him for what he did with the Enron prosecutors. Sullivan was absolutely inconsistent in his treatment of prosecutors for Brady violations between the 2 cases
That’s the major point–prosecutors cannot be prosecuted for misconduct–they are exempt. They have zero accountability and as such are able to run roughshod over the law. This should point our focus to the area in need of reform–prosecutors. Since they are weaponizing the system, we need to strike back and this is the place to do so.
I agree.
The Process IS the Punishment.
A lot of this has to do with hubris. The GOPe/Political & Government bullies and tyrants are so used to doing things like this to average citizens and getting away with it that getting sunlight shone on it in this manner completely upends them. Their facade of lies collapses against stone resistance.
It’s unclear to me Paxton will be found innocent, even though he obviously is, given the RINOs in the TX senate.
Me too, rino’s are democrats and they completely ignore facts!
To level the playing field, the federal government must pay legal fees for the defense. If they lose the “impoverishment is punishment without conviction” tool, they may be reluctant to proceed.
Even though there’s more, here’s an excellent synopsis from True Texas Project who I joined and now work for after resigning my position as a Precinct Chairman in the “-R” party here when they saw fit to elect the current County Chairman from my County in north central Texas which some here may know about. This unit Donated to Texas Democrats TWICE: FIRST TIME From his own pocket. SECOND TIME from the business he owns. This impeachment “process” began the Day after Paxton called out DADE PHELAN, a documented Bush acolyte, as well as Gregg Abbott’s blocking back as his Squeaker of the Texas House, took to the gavel either drunk, on drugs, or both of which the video captures are at Youtube and elsewhere. PHELAN has quite a history here in Texas including appointing democrats as Committee Chairs and receiving donations from name pharma companies as well as public hospitals here in Texas actively engaged in gender mutilation UT Southwestern Medical Center and others. If you’re familiar with Jeff Younger’s sojourn you already know. KEN PAXTON has called Phelan out for these and much more, but when he went after Texas “-R” donor$ it resulted in this impeachment effort. Anyway, some FACTS including the text of, and hard stop on, TX Legislative Code SEC. 3o1.02210: https://api.neonemails.com/emails/content/QSv5hG-MjFmRWSEHARhxhpvCKIkI5epgM2Xf9ln4gMg=
Edit to ADD… this is typical of what Gov. Gregg Abbott’s allies do in Austin. This time via the efforts of the gruesome “-R” Stephanie Klick (TX House 91) and “-R” Craig Goldman (TX House 97) who worked with Abbott to began the abdication of the last of the five (5) largest Texas cities, Ft., Worth, to neo-Marxist control. Thanks to this particular effort Jeff Cason’s (hard core Patriot) former district is now “represented” by one Salman Bhojani (Pakistan), hard core democrat-leftist. Those of YOU contemplating a move to “red” alt MAGA Texas you need to re-think that move very carefully. 1. https://www.tpr.org/government-politics/2022-11-12/salman-bhojani-is-among-the-first-muslims-elected-to-the-texas-legislature; 2. https://thetexan.news/elections/2022/rep-jeff-cason-to-forgo-re-election-after-redistricting-made-his-district-heavily-blue/article_4df6794e-d21e-5b00-afae-7415369f50d6.html
Exactly, Looking to soil his reputation, bankrupt and make him an example to others so they stay quietly in the background.
By torturing his wife by making her attend every minute of this show trial, they must be hoping to destroy what is left of his marriage.
If you want to severely set someone back financially, help push then toward divorce.
As a bonus, they may hope to help her decide not to run for re-election.
MAGA 👊👊🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️. Hurrah Tony Buzbee!!
This is almost comical. They have no limits to what they will do to further this agenda which is to destroy the USA entirely. No one puts themselves at such risk as this unless the agenda is GREATER either in reward or in loss if the opposition isn’t stopped.
This is an incredible set of circumstances going on here and now. Nearly everything is unprecedented and the rate of these things are nothing short of relentless.
People need to see and understand that for these actions to be necessary, there must be a TREMENDOUS impetus they are trying to make happen.
The 2024 election MUST be stopped or stolen again at every and all cost. Their desperation is surely as clear to see for all.
(It’s not clear for all to see… some people are f*ing idiots and will not look at what’s happening.)
They act like diversity hire lawyers…
Not only did Paxton crush Bush in the primary but after elected he made a move on the stolen 2020 election and then on google for election interference. The establishment UNIPARTY has got to take him down.
Full list of “-R”s who voted to impeach Ken Paxton. Almost every damn one in the assembly EACH an Abbott-Phelan boot lick. Scroll down abit: https://www.statesman.com/story/news/politics/state/2023/05/27/texas-house-votes-democrats-republicans-attorney-general-ken-paxton-impeachment/70263003007/. “Don’t mess with Texas” now!
My rep, Jay Dean, voted to impeach. He won’t be getting my vote next time around.
That prosecutor acted like it was a murder trial. Sickening. And surrounded by her dozen posse members, all ready with the noose.
Drew Wicker, made an accusation that a Texas donor named Nate Paul funded a kitchen remodel for Paxton. A quid pro quo to sell influence.
Also made the statement to the FBI also.
My question is, did they make an affidavit on these accusations? I would think the prosecution would need an affidavit of this accusation to bring forward the charge. Now an affidavit is a legal statement of facts that are sworn to be true and are notarized. If prosecution does not have an affidavit, then they have brought manufactured charge to a court to prosecute Mr. Paxton or Drew Wicker swore out a false affidavit so Mr. Paxton would be prosecuted.
Second is that Drew Wicker made the same accusation to the FBI. Will he be charged by the FBI for lying? He was proved to be a liar right there on the witness stand.
As hard as the beotch prosecutor tried to keep the picture from evidence, I believe the prosecutors knew this was a false charge and put it forth in court anyway.
There need to be some harsh penalties for these lies.
If Mr. Paxton is having to pay for his defense, then the prosecution and Drew Wicker have caused Mr. Paxton financial harm. I hope Mr. Paxton sues them ever loving snot out of these people.
Mr Wicker appears to have knowingly lied to the FBI.
I think a lot of people should lose their licenses to practice law.
Agree with your post, but actually, it is a TX Senate trial, not a court of law.
A couple things about all of this:
1.) This trial is factually every bit as bad as this and other recent clips make it look
2.) These are NOT the clips the public is seeing/hearing/reading on/in local news
3.) Don’t be surprised when these scumbag state senators vote to remove him anyway
Paxton ONLY needs two more votes
He only needed two more votes to dispense with this trial all together. He didn’t get them. The same laundry list of Texas RINO dirtbags are to be expected to produce 2 more votes in his favor?
I think people have underestimated how great is the disregard these jerks hold for their voters.
Gives me Gerry Spence vibes watching him
The Buzzsaw is ripping through these prosecutors.
I have been watching this entire trial on TikTok..several chapters per day. As have several million Americans. So it really doesn’t matter if the corporate media are ignoring it. The comments come from all corners of the country and all have seen the correlation between the persecution of President Trump and the corrupt RINOs. Ken Paxton’s lawyers are kicking a$$ and taking names. Now these men who fabricated this need to be prosecuted. After all, they lied to the FBI. Most of the J6 ers are in prison for lying to the FBI. I hope they will use this trial for a defense of disparate treatment. I’m so sick of the FBI and I hope Trump completely disbands them, they do nothing for this country.
All of that seems good, except for the fact that it still comes down to the vote of the RINO Texas Senators who at present are ignoring their constituents, and for whom there will be no consequence in the offing until at least the primaries of 2024, if ever. Yes, Paxton is winning on facts, but this isn’t about facts. Remember, when he’s convicted in the Texas Senate, there will NEVER be consequences other than perhaps electorally for any of the malevolent actors here. Never. This entire trial is about getting rid of PDJT for good. Everybody knows it, though none will admit it.
Be prepared for a conviction. I’m not saying it will happen, but I’m saying there’s nothing to stop it but the good will of Texas Senators, which is to say: There’s nothing to stop it.
I’m a lifelong Texan. Conservative. Constitutionalist. Election Fraud happened, in clear view with video and much other evidence. The FBI sting called J6 Insurrection (what was the sting’s code name?) happened, in clear view with video evidence. Everyone from the podunk county clerk to SCOTUS has seen and ignored all the evidence, for both these and all other crimes.
Mark is right. We have to be prepared that the RINO’s involved may not care about consequences or being outed any more. Seems to be no fear at all left among the criminals.
If Paxton is convicted… it may be time to change the nature of this story.
Sadly, that’s the problem. You notice the left no longer cares who sees their corruption, malfeasance, and maladministration? The same is increasingly true of the RINO wing of the UniParty Mafia. They no longer care. I think it’s become a case of nearly pure self-preservation. If too many more cracks form in the facade of this Potemkin village, the whole thing is going to collapse, and they’ll fight to protect it. They’ll KILL to protect it.
Video is worth watching a few times over to see that lying b*tch get shot down over and over.
This is straight out of the communist play book and it is being done by RINOs Texas is lost to the communists it looks like if all this is true. The Texas AG done pissed in the wrong bowl of wheaties .
I thought I would share this which was sent to me by a friend.
Ken Paxton isn’t playin!
From Tony Buzbee’s Law Firm website:
Tony Buzbee is the son of a butcher and high school cafeteria worker. After earning an ROTC scholarship, Buzbee attended Texas A&M University. While there, he served as a Battalion Commander in the Corps of Cadets. Upon graduation, Buzbee was named a Distinguished Naval Graduate and Distinguished Student, and was recognized as the Outstanding NROTC Senior in the Corps of Cadets, as well as the Outstanding Commander in the Corps of Cadets. Buzbee now has the honor of having the Buzbee Leadership Learning Center named after him.
After college, Buzbee entered the United States Marine Corps. In his initial Marine Corps training, Buzbee was recognized as an Honor Graduate, receiving the top leadership score out of more than 200 other Marine Lieutenants. Buzbee then continued his service as a Marine Corps infantry officer, serving in the Persian Gulf and Somalian conflicts, where he commanded various Marine special operations capable (SOC) infantry units.
After rigorous physical and mental screening, Buzbee was selected by the Marines to become a Recon officer, commanding the elite Recon Company of the historic First Marine Regiment. While serving as a Recon officer, Buzbee received various awards, including top leadership awards from the rigorous Navy Dive School and the daunting Amphibious Reconnaissance Course. Ultimately, Buzbee earned the rank of Captain and, for his Marine Corps service, was awarded the prestigious Navy Commendation Medal.
After leaving the Marine Corps, Buzbee entered law school at the University of Houston Law Center. While there, Buzbee was the managing editor of the Houston Law Review, was elected Class Captain by his peers, and was also a member of the Order of the Coif, Order of the Barristers and Order of the Barons. Buzbee was also the state and regional mock trial champion and was voted best advocate in every competition in which he competed. Buzbee ultimately graduated summa cum laude, second in his class.
In 2015 the Texas Lawyers Association named Tony Buzbee as Attorney of the year.
To Treepers like us, this all matters. Unfortunately, the corrupt cabal of gangsters attacking our country does not.
https://thefederalist.com/2023/09/14/impeachment-case-against-paxton-implodes-as-witnesses-admit-no-misdeeds/
To my untrained legal mind it appears he is tearing her a new one.
Just sayin’ …
Why does this sound so familiar? An FBI raid looking for a receipt for an outdoor grill ? Grill Baby Grill?
This mock trial should have been drawn to a close after Buzbee got the prosecution witnesses to all admit that there was “no evidence” to go to the FBI.
these lying jackasses are destroying our instutions
In the words of that great theologian, Jesse Jackson, “Stay out the Bushes”.
If only Messy Jesse could have followed his own advice
Buzbee is every bit as entertaining as my favorite lawyer, Perry Mason. 🙂
I live in Texas and have been listening to the trial on live stream. The 6 or 7 in Paxton’s office who started this whole cabal should be at least ashamed of themselves. They went to the FBI without documentation, recordings, paperwork or any proof. All they had were their feelings, suspicions. All of them sound like a bunch of guys sitting around the office and gossiping. They made horrible witnesses who got outed by the excellent defense attorneys. Paxton has been a strong conservative AG. The house republicans who voted for this sham should be fired in the next election.
Drew Wicker was AG Paxton’s personal assistant, but did not know an alleged kitchen remodel never took place? No personal relationship with the AG or his family clearly. Wise of them, in hindsight.
This is what our nation has come too
Every Republican house member or senator who voted for this impeachment (or will vote for it..) along with anyone associated with the prosecution needs to be purged from public service in the State of Texas. Time to clean house.
Just keep letting the Dems embarrass themselves- the closer they get to Joe and Hunter facing the music, the more outrageous and the bigger lies the Dem will float.
The GOP has used ‘remodels’ to go after Ted Stevens and Tom Tancredo. Ted Stevens was a very conservative Senator from Alaska so he had to go.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/judge-lambastes-prosecutors-dismisses-ted-stevens-conviction-1.814451
Then they tried the same thing against Tom Tancredo, an anti-illegal invasion Republican from Colorado. Mr. Tancredo had a surround sound system put in his basement and the company sent a Spanish speaker there who was conveniently overheard speaking Spanish by the Gannet Press and Mr. Tancredo was crucified in the news. Mr. Tancredo crossed GW Bush by refusing to vote for Medicare Prescription Coverage because he believed it was financially irresponsible.
These rino’s are such babies! You now, George P. B U SH can run again for office! Losing the election I s not the end of his or your world!! Geez!
