Once again, the innuendo and supposition by Ken Paxton accusers runs into reality. Previously Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s personal assistant, Drew Wicker, made an accusation that a Texas donor named Nate Paul funded a kitchen remodel for Paxton. A quid pro quo to sell influence.
However, during cross examination today, Drew Wicker admitted the kitchen remodel never took place, and the actual details of the home remodel being done by Paxton was taking place *after* the office “whistleblowers” went to the FBI with their ungrounded claims. Paxton’s attorney Tony Buzbee showed Drew Wicker pictures of the kitchen taken three years ago and also taken last month. There was never any remodel work completed. This is the central point of the alleged bribery. WATCH:
The prosecutors tried to deny the pictures were correctly dated or real, and then Tony Buzbee says let’s drive over there and look at the kitchen your honor. 😂🤣😂
The baseline of this entire impeachment has become a joke. A bunch of Bush aligned prosecutors, and staff from Texas, manufactured a case of rumor and innuendo against Attorney General Ken Paxton simply because Paxton defeated George P. Bush, their preferred candidate.
Couldn’t this whole mess be considered malicious prosecution?

This is why the Lawfare trials are a problem. Bill Barr can say anything he wants on “Meet the Press”. Under oath, he will not be able to produce evidence of a Federal investigation that concluded in 3 weeks that there was no election fraud in 2020. Nor will they be able to claim that Trump is required to do what his advisors tell him, anyway.
Under oath, GSA and National Archives staff will not be able to claim that Trump took documents that were not his. Because the PRA makes those documents his, and the GSA packed and shipped them to his house as required by law.

Watched the whole trial today on Texas State Senate Live Stream.
In the afternoon session, the prosecution called one of the 4 Paxton assistants who went to the FBI to testify. This witness was extremely hostile towards his former boss and expressed his feelings loudly and often. Was really looking forward to Tony Buzbee getting to cross examination him. It was going to get good.
Instead, the prosecutor said at the end of his direct that they rested. Buzbee jumped on that mistake and called for a directed verdict. Unfortunately the RINO’s in the Texas Senate voted to continue with the defense presentation starting tomorrow.
I’m pretty sure Buzbee is a Democrat but he is doing one hell of a good job for Paxton, as are the rest of the defense team.
That doesn’t sound good. The senators should have voted to end this and go home.

I tried a case once in which plaintiff’s primary witnesses, three co-workers, all claimed to see or hear something one day at work.
Turned out it was physically impossible for them to see or hear anything.
I explained to the jury that they’d just heard the story of three mystics and another liar, the plaintiff.
Jury foreman liked it. My guy won.
Those who come forth with accusations of crimes that are fraudulent should be prosecuted with a mandatory sentence and removed from any public office and in this case disbarred if they are a shyster.

Things may have changed in the interim but 20 years ago, the power business was broken up into separate companies for generation, transmission and distribution, and retail service. For most Texas residents under ERCOT, your power provider does not own a generator. The company that sells you your power has to purchase it wholesale. When demand is higher than what they have contracted for, the power provider has to go into the spot market and pay higher rates. That gets passed on to the retail customers.
So what happens when you plug in your EV during high demand? If your company has to go into the spot market, you raise the price of the power provided to your address and every other address served by your retail electric company.

noting: the Louisiana AG, Jeff Landry (a good guy…one of the few) is also under pressure from the state ethics “committee”. He is being accused of accepting and flying on a private jet to Hawaii for a AG convention (he was the keynote speaker). The private jet is owned by one of his big donors.
and yes, AG Landry is running for state Governor. (I completely forgot to add this political reality to the “dimension” of the ethic committee actions against him).

I believe the case you are referring to, originally brought by Jim Hoft and joined by A.G.’s from Louisiana and Missouri was not restricted to Gov. censorship over Covid, but also over 2020 election, hence its broader in terms of what the Gov. was censoring, thru “guidance” to Big tech.?
yes…indeed..the censorship lawsuits covered ALL (and every) aspects of the prohibitions and limits of USG to censor and to deny free speech rights. I’m sure we can broaden the implications of this case by considering the fundamental contextual spirit of the law as created by our founders as a good start that should never be erased from memory.

My state senator, a Rhino, is listed as likely to vote impeach. I emailed and called-response was because it is an impeachment they are not allowed to discuss it with their constituents-in other words, what you think doesn’t matter. I made it clear if he votes to impeach neither I or anyone in my family will ever vote for him, and do everthing in our power to see him gone. He likely could care less-attack a Rhino in Texas and they bring out the dirt on whoever tries to replace them. So far, they are doing a good job of succeeding.
Hopefully everyone in your family will call and leave a message too.

Impeachment, while it has all of the trappings of a legal process, looking and sounding like a courtroom trial, is actually NOT a legal process, its a POLITICAL one.
Hence, the Senate RINOS will vote to convict, if they think the public will support, or at least tolerate a conviction.
Keep HAMMERING it home to them, that you will NOT.
As for appeal, Paxtons only recourse for appeal, is to run for office, as the Court of appeal is the voters of Texas.
And, he would not be the first to win election after being impeached.

I think it is because of Paxton’s work at shutting down their election rigging in Texas.
When I kept seeing the Demos and the media acting like they actually had a legitimate chance of winning Texas, for a while I just passed it off as a joke. It wasn’t until the election was right around the corner that I took notice and realized that they were dead serious and had been laying the groundwork to actually take Texas that whole time.
Just how serious were they? Enough that the numbers were in and it was over, they lost. Ir had been over for 5 or 6 hours and they were still refusing to call it. I remembet, it was beyond awkward.
They damn near stole Texas, and Paxton has been laying waste to all that vote rigging that they spent years of time and money actually putting into place. Paxton is blowing massive gaping holes in their ship and they are pissed!
It is believed that plan “A” was to steal 2020 by taking it in Texas, and it eas only when they saw that wasn’t happening, that they stopped the count, to reset the algorythm, i.e. plan “B”.
