House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announces the beginning of a formal impeachment inquiry stemming from the financial fraud and schemes deployed by the Biden family as they sold their positions for personal financial gain. WATCH:
[Transcript] – “In recent months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct; taken together, these allegations paint a picture of a culture of corruption.
“Now, here’s what we know so far:
“Through our investigations, we have found that President Biden lied to the American people about knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings.
“Eyewitnesses have testified that the President joined multiple phone calls and had multiple interactions, dinners, resulting in cars and millions of dollars to his son and his son’s business partners.
“Bank records show that nearly $20 million in payments were directed to Biden family members and associates through various shell companies.
“The Treasury Department, alone, has more than 150 transactions involving the Biden family and other business associates that were flagged as “suspicious activity” by U.S. banks.
“Even a trusted FBI informant has alleged a bribe to the Biden family.
“Biden used his official office to coordinate with Hunter Biden’s business partners about Hunter’s role in Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company.
“Finally, despite these serious allegations, it appears that the President’s family has been offered special treatment by Biden’s own administration; treatment he would not otherwise have received if he were not related to the President.
“These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction, and corruption, and they warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives.
“That’s why today, I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather all the facts and answers for the American public.

“The American people deserve to know that public offices are not for sale – and that the federal government is not being used to cover up the actions of a politically-associated family.

“We are committed to getting the answers for the American public – nothing more, nothing less.
“We will go wherever the evidence takes us.”

Impeachment inquiry supposedly comes with more legal tools to use to investigate, obtain docs and compel testimony. And of course the Dems will comply and follow the rules.

I’ve had mixed thoughts because the Senate will never convict anyway.
However, I think they have a duty to inform the public via transparent investigations and impeachment, if warranted.
Every impeachment yet has been political, this one is no different. The only way an impeachment would not be political is if the President’s own party impeached him. That could have been Nixon (and is why he resigned), because the Republicans had the moral fortitude at the time to remove someone they knew was a criminal. That does not exist in DC today.
Yet exposing Biden’s crimes is as important as convicting him. If there is rock solid evidence (not the phony stuff they tried to pin on Trump). Many independents and classic liberals won’t vote Biden, even if they don’t vote for Trump. That could be a game changer. If we have a free and fair election. Yet I think the people in the White House fears the opposition party getting their hands on those documents of the last 4 years for that to happen.
A superior court affirmed that team biden censored social media postings violating the 1A. That’s a heck of a lot more than a teen intern paying lip service to Bubba.

If we don’t pray for our leaders to do the right thing, we’re all going to end up bowing to Xi. I don’t know about you but I have a bit more confidence in some of our leaders than the majority, it would seem. We cannot always be looking on the dark side or we’ll never gain anything. It may not go exactly as everyone thinks it should be it’s better to do something than to do nothing, that’s my honest opinion.

Biden is guilty of corruption and the media not reporting on the story was a glaring and egregious dereliction of duty that only made them look worse with time. The GOP pursuing impeachment gives the media a reason to cover the Biden corruption NOT as the corruption that it is, but through the narrative engineering of a “partisan investigation” of “unsubstantiated claims” while they spin the evidence to benefit Biden.
Biden’s opinion polling will go up as this plays out. It seems utterly paradoxical knowing what we know, but the media is good at their game. They’ll make Biden the victim.

Even setting aside the small issue of the dead-end which is the US Senate, impeachment goes nowhere in the House unless removing COOTUS benefits the system, McCarthy, and McCarthy’s interests.

I would just like to say that getting to this point is remarkable in the first place and I believe we all know that. Who here thought, or even had a hunch, a week ago that Kevin McCarthy would make a statement like this today?
If you knew a total deadbeat who owed you $1000 that you thought you would never see a cent of ever, and then he shows up on your door step with an open checkbook, would you really slam the door in his face before finding what he is able to pay you back? And would you refuse to accept anything less than $1000? I have a sense that many people who frequent this site are Christian, and I believe the Christian answer to that question is ‘No’. Personally, I really want a huge crowd of people eventually to go to prison for seriously and seditiously undermining our republic; but for the time being I prefer to wait and see how a first step such as this pans out.

If I were to interpret his message: “Oh, by the way, we intend to look into the Biden family…much like the FBI has been looking into the Hunter Biden laptop for…how many years– well this may take some time folks!”

If there is no full vote in the House to start the impeachment inquiry, then it is all just for show. Per Sundance’s previous articles on impeachment, the House must acquire judicial authority for any Congressional subpoena to be valid.
If a full vote is taken, then Jordan can genuinely investigate and include Obama, since the issue includes Biden’s time as VP. That would create some leverage that has been missing.
You hold Obama in check, you have a chance at an honest outcome in November 2024.
