We had someone who was arrested in Victoria then refuse to take the test for covid. Not sure where she stood on the mask issue. But she ‘had’ to be separated.
She was a political prisoner. They arrested her on bogus charges for the purpose of setting bail conditions to say she won’t attend protests or say anything online. She chose not to sign that, so she had to spend almost 2 weeks in prison waiting for a judge. The judge said those conditions were not required.

Generally I agree with you, but for those with bad lung health histories, this thing called Covid-19 does not play out like a common cold. I can honestly say that I shared your opinion about it until I watched it kill my mother.
I was living with my 74 year old mother in Wisconsin in 2021 when she and I both recovered from garden variety “common colds” in June, but when she told me in late August that she felt like she was coming down with something again, it ended up very differently. With that bout, she said she felt like she was hit by a truck and was extremely tired. After a week of extreme fatigue and a mild cough, her oxygen saturation started to dip and I had to take her to the hospital for supplemental oxygen. I tried to get ivermectin shipped overnight from a compounding pharmacy on the other side of the state, but it made it as far as Memphis and stalled out. She fought it for 3 weeks in the hospital (NOT on a ventilator) but the massive amount of microblood clots in her lungs became too much to overcome. She ultimately chose to die on Sep 21 because she was exhausted from not being able to breathe.
Like I said, when she got a common cold, she recovered as quickly and easily as I did. When she got this, she died of air hunger that was painful to watch. In my mind, my mom was killed by a man made bioweapon, not a rebranded common cold. But I understand if one case alone may not change your opinion.
So sorry about your mom, horrible to watch the ones we love suffer like that. I agree that covid is like nothing else I have ever had in my 65 years. The whole family caught it in july 2021, none of us where vaxed. Thank goodness we all made it through but I had everyone taking vitamins ,quercetin, zinc and nac. My oldest son who was 38 and myself had to take a steroid, the one thing I did not do was lay around I made myself continualy keep moving.

My son was extremely ill with Covid (delta variant) in 2021 and it took him weeks to recover. It wasn’t the flu, or common cold.
He was 40 yo, in excellent health.
Many still do not comprehend that Covid affects people differently; and some people won’t believe till it happens to them.
Some have a cold, some have lasting scars, some die. And, I know several who died.

I caught COVID for the second time after going on a cruise this summer. It lasted a few days but was no more than a bad cold symptom wise. I did not sneeze or cough much and did not feel fatigued like the first time I caught it last year so I worked right through it. I did not bother with any antivirals and just took lots of zinc and vitamins.
I’m seeing a slight uptick in people wearing masks in the public in the last week but my take is the vast majority people are “over it” and will not comply with any new COVID mandate from Governor Newsom and his ilks. Respiratory pandemics in recent history run their course in about two years and we’re well past that.

Yes. Three jabs of Moderna back in 2021 and one jab of Pfizer in late 2022 since I’m at “higher risk”. The side effects were feeling like crap for a day or two afterward. I am aware of the pros and cons of vaccines. Of course after all the recent new information and my second COVID adventure, I am not interested in getting any more COVID vaccine.
As I’ve heard rumblings about this on the horizon, I made the 100 mile trip into the big city (Vegas) to restock my 30 month supply of food which I’ve finally gotten towards the end of since the last masking adventure.
Office Depot had a middle aged nimrod wearing a mask and when he spoke to me I said “I can’t understand you with that rag on your face” and he walked away. Butt hurt, I suppose. Tough.
Costco was packed but didn’t see any masks. I assume the crowd was like me, preparing to be self sufficient no matter which way the teeming herds decide to stampede.
I got 1,800 pounds of food and supplies and got the hell out of there and am now back to my quiet refuge of 6,000 cows and 800 people scattered over 500 square miles. I won’t need to go to the city again until next year sometime.

No, but I do occasionally see a retail store worker wearing one, usually either very young or very old.
By “occasionally”, I guesstimate one in 15-20 workers.
Area is Wisconsin mid-sized city, about 50-50 Democrat vs Republican (which strongly relates to the number of government dependents & employees vs private sector). Government dependents… includes city, state & federal employees, teachers union, students, hospital workers, and UAW, AFL-CIO Democrat foot soldiers.
Once again they don’t say anything about washing your hands more frequently or using hand sanitizer. It’s always about masks and testing.
I had this conversation in my new workplace. I told them about vitamin D and C and zinc. And garlic. And about using a mouthwash. And I think more, but can’t remember now.
They were listening to my every word. I told my mum and she asked – haven’t they ever had a cold before?! 😂

East coast here, in a parking lot this AM I observed a man walking from a store to his truck.
He had one of super worthless paper surgical style snot holders.

In our little part of vanishing America we see very few mask and make is a habit to ridicule the few we see wearing them.
Northern Virginia/D.C. Suburbs – an uptick in mask wearers in stores. There are a handful of elderly people (men) at the YMCA where I go that have continued to wear a mask, which is totally dumb. Working out and restricting your breathing with a mask is absolutely bonkers.

No emphasis that I have observed (I avoid local “news”, except for weather segment) , but I am seeing it increasingly the past 3-4 weeks in the Western NY area (Buffalo and suburbs) when in stores and supermarkets.
Went to Niagara Falls State Park yesterday afternoon for a short hike and saw a few [brainwashed /deceived] people wearing them outdoors.
I had a colonoscopy postponed until October. I don’t have any problems and have done those mail in lab tests in past years.
If the county hospital goes back to requiring masks and/or swab tests for the Wuhan virus, I will be cancelling the procedure.
I submitted to the swab before [successful] cancer surgery 2 years ago. I flushed with a Navage machine that was in my lap immediately afterward.
Thinking I would no longer need it, I gave it to a son that is prone to sinus infections.
Last year I required hernia surgery and the local pharmacy did not have a Navage in stock, so I was swabbed again.
This time my sinuses burned for about a day afterwards. I have no clue what is on those swabs.
My primary physician said once her nose burned for a week after a swab test.
My 86 yr. old mother just recovered from a cold. Her primary physician wanted a C-19 test so he could prescribe accordingly.
I administered the take home test (snafu getting a drive through rapid test because of insurance). She said that burned, too. Those take home tests are not inserted deep like the tests I had).
Most of those at-home swab test kits are made in China.
Uh huh…all by their self not single person anywhere close to them. (SMH) They fools in the cars alone kill me too!

Plymouth County, MA (about 25 miles south of Boston). I am seeing an uptick in mask wearing mostly in the older (65+) crowd. The serious acolytes now have N95s while I can often see the nostrils in the remaining 90% of mask wearers.

South-central PA here. Red area..Township went 80%+ for Trump…both times. County (Lebanon) went over 65% for Trump…both times. Basically the only people with masks are frightened old people and educated idiots who went away to college and came back thinking they are smart, but are anything but smart. Olympia/Lacey Washington area seeing some masking – at grocery stores and dept. stores. I went to the mall the other day to shop at Macys’. The clerks were all masked up. At the grocery stores, some shoppers were masked – mostly older and Asian folks it seemed.

I would like to report 0.001 wearing masks in Bradenton FL. We consider ourselves reinforcements for freedom here in Florida as CA is a lost cause for the next 30 years..or until our conservative hispanic friends take over the politics there..
I have noticed an up tick in people wearing masks (western suburbs of Chicago) in the grocery store. These are hard-left people wearing the N95’s. The rest of us normal people don’t give them any attention or acknowledgment and go about our business.
