X-Corp, formerly known as Twitter, CEO Linda Yaccarino appeared on CNBC to discuss the new direction of the platform and affirm her complete autonomy to control the decision making within the corporation.
It’s important to note the timing for the first CEO appearance of Yaccarino against the backdrop of CTH financial analysis of the company. According to my calculations X-Corp will run out of working capital, the actual cash needed to pay expenses, in mid to late October; roughly two months from now. At that point Elon Musk and Linda Yaccarino will need to go back into the market for more cash.
After asserting her complete unilateral control over all decision making within the company, Yaccarino then went on to discuss how information will be defined according to new operational standards she is helping to implement. The pertinent part of the conversation happens at the 01:16 point of the video segment below. WATCH:

…”if you are going to post something that is illegal or against the law, you’re gone. Zero tolerance. But more importantly, if you are going to post something that is lawful, but it’s awful, you get labeled. You get labeled, you get deamplified, which means it cannot be shared, and it is certainly demonetized. … So, they [advertisers] are protected from the risk of being next to that content.”…
The position essentially seems reasonable, I guess. However, I still don’t trust any of the cattle car valets with DHS authorizations and credentials.

If X Twitter fails, so does the portal between it and the US government/glass building and that is one less means of direct spying. Not to mention there won’t be a safe space for the crybabies to commiserate, they’ll have to play by other’s rules or melt. Either works for me!
bye-bye birdie!
I suspect that ultimately ‘X’ may very well play out as a major player in the online space.
It won’t be trustworthy.
Just not going to happen.
So either the now former Twitter dies, or X evolves into a ‘thing’.
At best Musk is just trying to negotiate the most favorable terms possible.
In the end, the abomination will prevail in this particular battle.
I hate to say it, but I think you are correct. X has already been taken over by government gangsters. Musk will be brought to the brink of collapse and a YUUUUGE hit on Elon Musk himself. He is being offered a way to avoid a 50 billion dollar loss on investment (not to mention all the lawsuits he would face, probably in both civil and criminal courts).
Musk has already sold his soul to the devil. Once you have done that, you ain’t getting it back!
I think he already did that in his deals with the Chinese Communists with his Tesla operations!!! 🤔
In that effort I hope Mr Musk has over Xtended himself.
A Universal App For Everything, eXcept Freedom.
Nicely done:)
Well, Jeff Bezos started as a major Wall Street investor and he had – and still has – quite a force of other investors behind him.
I suppose that I’m just sad to see the “Sears & Roebuck” brand-name apparently now die, given that all of what “Bezos & Company” ever did was really nothing more than what S&R had already done. In their day, it was the railroads, not the internet.
Its never changed much, and the left still plays by the old rules. The left makes the rules, regardless of what Elon claims to the contrary. He is full of hoss puckey. Speech is still being restricted according the the leftist rules of Twitter.
I posted a meme of a simple shotgun, without comment, in a thread where groomers were talking about mutilating kids, and they were all saying it was illegal to stop them from doing it.
I have been permanently suspended.
I followed SD on Twitter and several others, and was building a good number of followers, most of my interaction was on the Conservative side and political in nature. Heck, SD even retweeted my post….about Pretending Not To Know Things…….
I appealed the decision, they came back and said nope, staying suspended. Even though there was 0 comment and used a meme that Twitter provides in their own list!
Twitter is still a lefftist clown show.
With this WEF puppet at the helm, it aint going to change, anytime soon. It will get worse.
F-L-Y and F-T…..
We need to stop calling it the Left. That’s not the right model. What we have with X and all social media is corporate oligarchs who are treating the entire world as if we are all their employees or” human resources.” They’ll decide when they want us to be born, when they want us to die, what they want us to eat, where they want us to live, and what they want us to think. The internet and the “smart” appliances (or anything “smart”) is there to monitor which of the human resources gets out of line. With social media, they are trying to figure out the right balance between keeping up an illusion of tolerance of opinion while being truly intolerant at their root.
That sounds pretty damned Left Hand of God to me . . .
X-Corp needs it’s own Mr Robot.
Or V for Verity.
A series I’ve been meaning to watch again. By coincidence or design it seems to have been extremely accurate at showing what lies ahead.
I just picked it up for a review myself.
Yaccarino actually reminds me of the unfortunate exec who met her end in her own pool . . .
Though clearly much less attractive.
Oops, was that awful?
Nope.
Some dudes like the Glasses ‘N Tablecloth look… so hot… I mean… that’s what they say… not me… I would never say that… blech!… eyebleacheyebleacheyebleach… probably has Cooties, too…
the picture selection – says it all.
So, the decision is easy – No more Twitter. No additional comments are necessary.
I bet that woman finds laughter to be offensive. She’s awful yet lawful.🤡
Musk once said “Who gts to determine what is misinformation?”
so I would ask him “Who gets to determine what is awful?”
“Who gets to determine what is awful?” The moderators on this site and every other place you visit on the web do it everyday.
It’s just bots ran by algorithms
They already answered that: the advertisers.
Even if you even ask the question, you get “deamplified.” The new trendy word, like “disinformation.”
Well, it’s probably going to be like Nextdoor, where people are leaving in droves because of censorship and allowed whininess. Neighbors talk about all kinds of things, but nope… not there. You have rabid censors (typically liberal) who exercise their power without much restraint.
Where I live, the boundaries of my “neighborhood” have now extended across the metropolitan area, instead of just my suburb. And even then, the volume is going down, and Nextdoor is pushing people into trying to populate the main feed with content, where it’s censored/hidden/blocked/deleted.
Nobody wants to spend time on a platform where they are “de-amplified” because they talk against the narrative. And it’s even worse when the arbiters are the biggest purveyors of mis/dis/mal-information.
Why would I want to be indoctrinated with “approved-speech”?
Two interesting dimensions to this problem: (1) people’s reactions to various content, and their tolerance thereof, and (2) the issue of who defines what awful is.
Re (1): the libs have a pathological problem accepting the legitimate rights of others to express opposing, political viewpoints. This is, in large part, the origin of 80 percent of the social media controversy. At heart, these people are frightened, intolerant, envious cry babies that are willing to act out their fears at the expense of the happiness and personal safety of others–no other way to put it!
Re (2): the issue of who defines ‘awful’ has come up over and over re obscenity in a legal context. The conclusion seems to be: ‘you know it when you see it.’ It’s also like wondering whether you’re really in love with someone. The wise response is, ‘you know it when you experience it, or ‘if you have to ask, then you’re not in love.’
So, putting (1) and (2) together, I’d say that those with little tolerance for opposing viewpoints shouldn’t be judging what is awful or not, and the leftwingers have to grow up and accept that it isn’t all about them. And, oh yeah, much of what they learned about life in school is a bunch of crap, as ‘awful’ as that is to say!
Yes, but their portion of society has been reengineered to believe they are correct and virtuous and no means of exterminating opposition is inappropriate.
You know, the same people that suggested we be terminated for opposing their lunatic Coupvid tyrannies?
With the accountability of Heaven out of the picture, Hell on earth sounds fine to them, long as they are the demons running it.
The two of them are repulsive.
Just get off “X” and be done with it.
“Oh wooooooouldn’t it be loverly” if she got fired. 🎼
Bigger is better. Monopolies are good. Greed is good. Too big to fail. You didn’t build that. Epitaphs of this Era of Obama and Fraud!
MAGA is beaten and battered, been slapped around too much. I don’t believe chit that comes out of ANY lib’s mouth….PERIOD.
Smart. Your intelligence precedes you
So awful will likely be defined as anything in opposition to the far left viewpoint/agenda. Get ready to be banned for “wrong-think”. So much for Musk restoring free speech.
Was “Sore/Loserman” “awful but lawful”, lady?
“Happy Indictment Day!” – Outspoken with Dr Naomi Wolf (substack.com):
“Why did the two sides fight so hard in 2000? Why did they battle for 35 days after the polls closed? Why go all the way to the highest court in the land?
Why?
Because that is how our system is supposed to work.
Today, based on the premise of President Trump’s indictment, all of those discussions, strategy sessions, consultations with attorneys, meetings with campaign staff, memos, emails, faxes, all of that litigation — would expose the candidates, and their campaign staffers, and their advisors, and their lawyers — to criminal charges.
Think for a moment, I beg you, about what President Trump’s indictment, for the thought crime of resisting — just as both Vice President Gore and George Bush Jr did 20 years ago — the pat, early declarations of CNN and Fox and The New York Times about who won the Presidential race, will do to the future of our nation.
In every future election, if both candidates, and all of their staffers, advisors and lawyers, do not immediately yield to the declarations of the official outlets — if they both don’t cave right away to early calls by CNN or The Washington Post or MSNBC regarding what the Powers That Be have decided for us in relation to whom our Dear Leader is to be — then they will face possible prison terms.
Why even have elections in the future, if this is the precedent that is now being set?
And there you have the answer. This kangaroo court, this 1930s-era show trial, is not about President Trump, though he is a convenient outsider to use as the much-hated exemplar for what The Powers That Be have decided needs to be done.
It is, as President Trump often reminds us, not about him; it is about us.
It is about setting a precedent that ends the right of the American people to ask any questions, in the future, about their election results.
Which is exactly how coups operate, once the coup leaders are in power.
In banana republics, they still hold elections.
You just don’t get to question who you are told the winners are.
So no, here in this beautiful deep blue state, in this mellow, sage-smelling, Western evening air, though people around me are festive and gleeful, I am not celebrating.
It is not President Trump’s funeral dirge, that I am hearing.
It is our Republic’s own.” …….
Look up, child.
Luke 18:
6 Then the Lord said, “If even an evil judge can be worn down like that, 7 don’t you think that God will surely give justice to his people who plead with him day and night? 8 Yes! He will answer them quickly! But the question is: When I, the Messiah,[a] return, how many will I find who have faith and are praying?”
And who sits in judgement of the lawful but awful. Giant censor loophole.
Seems worrisome, n’est-ce pas?
How does the deep state get away with the attacks on this site? I am sure everyone is seeing these nonstop redirections. But there is never anything said
Everyone is not.
Care to share?
Huh?
What re-direction?
By all means let SD or one of the Admins know…..
Please explain. I await your response…
It’s basically a marketing tool for OnlyFans accounts. The ‘actors’ upload samples of their own prOn and use Twitter to advertise OF monthly access.
X gets its name from x-rated material, starting life back in time as a secure, non-traceable private payment system…X. com. It changed to PayPal. com in late ‘90’s when the PP guys bought the technology and made legit money laundering.
Make no mistake, it’s called X for a reason.
FECKLE$$ DICTATORIAL CLINT !
Just who gets to decide what is “awful”? This is just a maneuver to allow censorship at will.
Safe?
Why is this platform now safer?
The only unsafe thing about using twitter is still the unbridled civil rights violations the FedGov perpetrates on innocent citizens by surveilling them on a daily basis.
If these dirtbags ever tell you that you are safe/safer, then start running away fast in the opposite direction.
We’re all getting caught up what the definition of “awful” is, myself included.
But whose legal code defines what is “against the law.” There many legal codes, they all have inherent conflicts with each other, and those conflicts make one blanket “against the law” policy untenable.
Such a statement is meaningless, and she knows it.
In reality her concern is not with what is “against the law” but what is against advertiser (corporate) interests. “Against the law” is the pretense for protecting those interests.
And therein lies a truth: like all social media the platform formerly known as Twitter exists and operates to further the interests of corporate and government entities.
They surely seem determined to satisfy the interests of both.
Of people, not so much.
Deport Musk and send the word gestapo lady with him.
Why? Musk has done more for mankind than any human in history, Even god bows before him.
He’s an American citizen; deport him to where?
President Trump’s refusal to go back to Twitter is proving the right choice
Coffee shop!
Deamplified means deboosted or shadowbanned. Example: Your comment may appear “below the fold” (newspaper reference) –> “below the scroll” or placed far down the timeline that no one will see it. Deamplified might also mean only your contacts can see it.
And it’s already happening. Ever posted a response and not a single person likes it, responds to it, or takes issue with it? That’s because no on is seeing it.
Sundance knows all too well what they are, TwiXer has had him in a Silo for like forever.
The victim became the abuser I guess.
What does that even mean?
Social media is fairly dangerous at this point.
My ONLY question is: WHO gets to decide “What IS Awful?”
The advertisers: ya know, the people that are twitters source of revenue? Musk ain’t doing this for free
I certainly know that IF it becomes that way, then Elon wasted his money. Then we would have the same ol’, same ol’. I hope that doesn’t happen!
Define “awful”.
Old Twitter same as the new twitter?
How would y’all censor appropriately? I can’t think of a good way to do it other than free to say anything you want within the law. But what if you want to make a profit from advertisers? You’ve got to cater to them. So in order to be freedom of speech, he’d essentially have to run the company out of his own pocket. Which is pointless.
Was never on twit, left fakebook long ago. It could all implode & I wouldn’t even breath hard
had it on live and I DID hear her say, when asked, they were ‘almost break even’. awkwardly. like her.
CNBC snipped it out.
“awful” is a dog whistle term that really means, anything that is contrary to leftist ideals, BLM, ESG, DEI, WEF, NWO, … or anything in support of conservative values, and certainly anything in support of that dastardly villain Trump.
So awful but lawful will be “suppressed” hmm… So less promotion of the alphabet peoples posts on their trans surgeries perhaps?????
I jest!! Not a chance, I know.
This is why I stopped using Twitter years ago.
The core of the problem is that twitter and most of our media is either a monopoly or an oligopoly. I read that 90% of the media we consume is generated by 6 companies.
In order to fix this, we are going to have to go outside of our conservative comfort zone and start considering the use of government power to break these companies up and have them compete for consumers.
So far, I haven’t even seen a serious discussion of the issue.
Totalitarianism cannot abide free speech or unregulated ideas.
In the growing drive to control all things it would be easy to imagine the days of the curious minded tinkering around in their garages and creating motorcycles, or computers, or grain harvesters, or cotton gins are over if the thought regulators get wind of the free range people;
It will be nice to see if Truth Social becomes the platform we all hoped twitter would have become when it first entered the world. A big move like that would be a nice October Surprise we always expect in election season.
Free range people as opposed to “human resources.”
So far, I have not seen any censorship on Truth Social.
But it is Elon’s money, not Linda’s that bought the company. I don’t think Elon did his ‘due diligence’.
AWFUL = Everything and anything that the left don’t agree with .
That includes all factual and truthful information .
Shall I be the first to say it?
“Elon, ‘X’ is stupid! Bring back the cute little bluebird!”
Thanks. I just said it.
We need a graphic with an X for the eye of the Twitter Bluebird.
I got banned from twitter in 2019 for getting into a screaming, hair pulling, never back down, name calling type of online fight with Bette Midler.
I was defending President Trump.
I appealed when Elon took over and still got a “ Nope. You’re banned forever based on past twitter violations “
You cannot disagree with the chosen ones.
It’s an admission that Twitter will censor anything and everything they want, whenever they want.
Forget using THAT as a venue to disseminate truth.
if the prediction is that X will run out of capital October, then how is EM going to pay for the attorneys / legal fees of X users who need defending against woke companies…? Y = a younger RBG
well…okay…
notes with a preface:
preface: I have a personal commitment to be NOT be abusive, offensive, or hateful. This is a personal policy. It is one that is composed of a spiritual alignment to Gods’ principles, but also one from my upbringing. In a sense we could say, I adhere AS BEST AS I CAN, to grandmaws rules. And not just here at CTH, but in all aspects of how I conduct myself. However, I am a human being, imperfect and incomplete and I also believe this is a place and a time when it is important to express my anger, frustration, and temper. I am not a robot. I try to limit this because it serves almost always nothing that is good, but I also believe one has to “SAY” bullshit when the moment demands no other means to express it.
personal preface over.
about freedom of speech as I understand it from a constitutional (and legal) matter:
freedom of speech and expression is not protecting the right to nice and polite speech. It is EXACTLY AND PRECISELY to protect and to prohibit GOVERNMENT from making law, policy, action, or threat or action toward A PERSON/THE PEOPLE/CITIZEN who will express themselves impolitely, and coursely, even possibly being wrong and yes, who may have an intent to mislead or to assert a different view from the popularly held thinking or behavior. THIS IS WHAT THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH ACTUALLY PROTECTS: the awful. The mean…The rough talk. (within moral reason: I do not believe someone has the RIGHT to express sexual lurid and perverse ideas to anyone else or to make art of the same, UNLESS THE OTHER PERSON IS AN ADULT AND CONSENTS. For instance, making a billboard of something perverse or extremely sexualized…no…not protected speech..because it is a cluster bomb…indifferent to audience and undermines the higher moral principle that we protect the minds of young human beings from sexualized art and speech.
so what does this mean for me as a person, my view on free speech from the constitution and how I feel and engage with twitter.
these are only my opinions.
God Bless America
“I still don’t trust any of the cattle car valets…”
Yeowie Sundance, you’ve got a way with words!
Is she Vijaya Gadde 2.0????????
I don’t understand why so many conservatives thought that Musk was actually going to make Twitter better.
This woman is really good at talking a lot without saying much. She makes my head hurt.
If ones content is dependent on advertisers, X already knows what kind of person you are, you’re only haggling over your price.
Truth Social looks better and better all the time.
I caught some of the interview live – my God, she is totally up hersel.
Ghastly and insufferable.
She graduated from the WEF young leaders program. Would you expect anything else? Lots of vague words, hand waving, etc. Anymore, and I would have sworn I was listening to Kamala.
We’re back to “who gets to decide what’s awful?”
We’re back to Alex Jones ca. September 2018… so a new cycle begins…
