Just get rid of the Section 230 exemption. These companies like Twitter/’X’ are not ‘Platforms’; they are Websites—big ones, but still just web sites. They are not ISPs (Internet Service Providers). Therefore they are not Platforms, but Publishers, just like newspapers and magazines—just like CTH and thousands of other blogs and web entities. So they have editorial control over the content they publish—and they have no immunity from being sued, too.
The only Platforms are ISPs, which, like phone companies, are just transmitters. They have no control over what flows through their wires, and should not, ever.
