A friend of mine told me that is what happened to him when he had his stroke. He was in the army working at a computer terminal. A superior officer entered the room and he couldn’t move, he wanted to but couldn’t. He couldn’t speak either.
The officer asked him why he didn’t get up when an officer entered the room and got no response. Luckliy the officer realized something was wrong and quickly had the medics there. My friend still has limited use of his left side.

I have a friend who shared a similar story.
He was both a police officer and an EMT.
He recognized the onset of the stroke and tried to tell his wife, but there was a disconnect between his brain and his mouth.
He said that he was speaking the words in his head but nothing was coming out.
Fortunately, his wife quickly realized what was happening and got him to the hospital before he suffered severe damage.

I have a seizure disorder and this looks to be what’s called a “Partial Secondary Seizure” where the person doesn’t fall down and go into full blown convulsions but instead there is a type of neurological malfunction for lack of better term where the brain cannot transfer thoughts into words or other normal functions, so, you basically sit there spaced out and frozen for a couple of minutes. When it happens to me, I’m totally aware of whats going on around me, can hear people talking, but I am paralyzed from being able to speak or react. Usually passes in a couple of minutes followed by a headache. I had several of these before I had my 1st full blown seizure not knowing what was happening. Only until I went to a neurologist afterwards was it explained to me.

Looks like an Ischemic stroke. About 10 years ago I had the same issue. Three days in hospital to adjust bp medication. One thing I know for sure is he was about to tell another lie.
I’m sorry but I just can’t muster up any sadness for that man. Too many people have suffered and died because of him and many like him in Washington for me to care.
Some people his age are cognitively fine and others are on a slippery slope.
I had the unfortunate task of being the bad guy for my father in law and grandfather and stopping them from driving and handling their affairs.
One was a retired GM inspector the other a retired Captain in the fire department.
Both were well accomplished men and sadly that part of them faded away . One went gracefully and passed away under our home care from a severe stroke that left him brain dead in seconds .
Sadly the Captain was not cooperative at all and eventually became argumentative and violent after a minor self inflicted accidental injury we were forced to place him in a full care facility as per hospital observation and discussions with health care and elder care or face charges of elder abuse . Those professionals involved were not threatening us just explaining the road the state would take .
He died at 93 unaware of anything other than a few fragments of the past !
We never abandoned either of them !
Now looking at what’s happening with many DC office holders from Biden , McConnell and Fienstein the issue is obvious and they need to step down or be removed for health reasons
