At first blush, the following question might seem like a sideways throwaway snark at the professionally political. However, at the heart of it, there’s a truth in the question I am genuinely curious about.
Have you ever noticed that Donald Trump supporters have a better sense of humor than the supporters of all other political candidates?
I mean, it’s just a truthful observation. Trump supporters are just plain funnier, have a fun disposition and are humorous people.
Like many of you, I’ve followed politics for a long time, and this is just one of those random observations that I have noticed.
The people who support President Donald Trump just have a much greater sense of humor. Why is that?

My homies in rural Minnesota all work hard and at the end of the day/week when they have a beer or wine they have this quiet pride about doing meaningful work.
Having that contentment allows them to be pleasant human beings.
The Left knew what they were doing when they tried to destroy the work ethic of America.
Inner cities suffer the most.
Humor is based on reality. A joke is funny to only those who recognize the truth in it.

The rhetoric is only for their followers and soldiers. They don’t really believe it. It’s just a tool to forward their agenda. In private the small group of people at the top of the lefty pyramid scheme sip their drinks and live high off of the money they didn’t actually earn. They profit when they make people miserable and then convince the people their misery is because “someone else!” Then, they feel entitled to do whatever they think is necessary against those they blame for their misery.
There is no leftism without misery. It cannot begin without misery and it cannot exist without misery and when it ends, it’s because people are tired of being miserable.
We are genuine people. Nothing fake, phony, and or made up just real working people.
Fully human, fully alive. Trump fits that description and that’s another reason leftists hate him and MEGA.

It’s been my observation that Dem/libs find ridiculing people to be funny.
They’re a mean bunch, they are. Junior high bullies all grown up.
I maintain that liberal bullies were bullied as children. Ask a lib bully and they will freely tell you how bad the mean girls treated them.
I believe they were bullied as kids because they were not good at social nuance.
Many liberals are book smart. Egg heads if you will. Or creative (more emotional than logical).
But our culture rewards being book smart and creativity . They become successful, but it still doesn’t change their ineptness in with social nuance or being ruled by emotion as opposed to logic.
The bullied grow up to become the bullies.

We’re not trying to build utopia on earth. So we’re not fixated on perfection.
Our opponents are not funny about politics – they often confuse insult with humor – because creating utopia is serious business. It means embracing every kook crackpot fad that mocks normality on the march to a better world.
I think people on our side of things view people as flawed, and incapable of perfection. So it’s easier to laugh about things.
The other thing that comes to mind is that our opponents are The Official Party of Government. If you’re looking for soulless zombies and humorless scolds trying to perfect their systems to force a better world on everyone – look no further than the US Government.
Knowing that my life here on earth is short and heaven is my real home, makes me happy.

Well said, Humpty. People who have the “long” (read: Eternal) view know what it means to keep things in perspective. In context, though there is much evil in the world, there is much to laugh about. We know where this is all headed and that the ship will at some point be righted by the Lord – we have that promise of better days to come. And thinking about it, it’s hard to wipe that smile off your face. 😉

It’s called Pride. We can all suffer from it but liberals seem to thrive on it. Theirs is the only position on issues and anyone else’s is just an annoyance. On the other hand, Trump supporters have humility. They are able to accept differing opinions or thoughts and be humble about it; in general, an ability to recognize differences for what they are; just plain differences and not treated as an assault by an ” inferior” being.

If you’re a Trump supporter, you look at all this and you absolutely have to laugh. How could you not? =)
Humor is a sign of intelligence, which is why Democrats demonstrate so little of it.

Simple fact: humor seems to be a function of intelligence.
Folks with less intelligence tend to be sour and dour and authoritarian.

American Spectator had an article this spring about why the Left hated Reagan so much.
The author said it wasn’t so much his flag-waving patriotism or his policies, but what really set the Left off was that Reagan was so happy.
Reagan’s “happy warrior” and “Morning in America” ad brought back American optimism from the miasma of the Carter years and its defeatist “we’ll just have to learn to live with the Soviet Union” pessimism.
I think Trump’s happy warrior was what helped captured enough votes to win in 2016. I hope the happy warrior is back in 2024. God knows how a lesser man could stay optimistic after the stolen election and the lawfare, but Trump’s belief in America’s future greatness must shine again if he’s going to win enough swing votes to get to 270.
Intelligence is the difference. Brain’s ability to make connections that arent blatantly apparent. These connections can be found humorous hence “getting the joke”.

These people are just not happy and they know it. They want to believe they are unhappy because of Trump somehow but they don’t have any rational reason for it. They just can’t not be in the bubble.

I can only speak for liberals and communists. Communists don’t have a sense of humor at all. This is why Hollywood stopped being funny many years ago. It’s because if you have no sense of humor how can you right for comedies. And how can you truly act on it if you are an actor.
I have a couple liberal friends. Of course they live in CA. I notice that they have no ability to not bring up politics. I can. But I wait for it to happen and it always does. That’s not a humor thing but still an observation.

I think it is because Trump supporters typically don’t believe in Big Government. The Big Government people have to have a hard core agenda in order to create their utopian Big Government future. Hard core agendas require constant conflict with anyone who might even laugh about them. It is hard to make Collectivism into the primary focus of a country that was founded upon the natural rights of individual people. The latter is always the preferred viewpoint of human beings. For Collectivists swimming upstream to human nature requires takes an emotional toll on its advocates. A sense of humor is regarded as a weakness for the Collective. We laugh because of their incessant railing against the God given rights of humans while attempting to convince everyone that Big Government is the path to freedom.
A genuine sense of humor is found in happy people – people anchored in their faith, family and community. Chaos, anger, violence is a product of the dark side of evil.
It’s well known , that highly intelligent individuals have a better sense of humor than those with lower IQ. That’s obvious with the leftists poor memes and reactions to President Trump’s supporters.
It’s why they had to silence meme makers and shut down sites like the Donald on Reddit. Biting humor is a very effective weapon.
We’ve been losing ground to the woke apocalypse for so long all we can do is laugh while they steal our way of life.
It takes “intellect” to present humor. You need to press that button in all types of people.
My grandpa always talked about how people think. Most people need 100% of the relevant information before they make a decision. They don’t want to make a mistake. They don’t value the “time value” of data or information.
If you can make a decision with only 80% of the relevant information and “guesstimate” the remaining 20% based on experience, you may arrive at the correct answer before others. Spoils go to those who show up first. As the Brits say “Remain Calm and Carry On”.
Exploring the unknown 20% will get you into a lot of arguments. Humor helps you get out of those situations where you guessed wrong. No hard feelings.
I think that is the environment that promotes humor. Those who exercise good humor are better thinkers.

We are created by a ‘happy’, righteous , Holy, creative, energizing, never changing, Funny God. When we recognize Him and celebrate and honor Him, when we believe He was and is and is to come, Almighty Creator of the amazing universe and all that is in it we who are His take on His nature because He is our Father and His Son bridged the sin gap between us and the Father. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have a wonderful sense of humor. This world is not our home.
