Against the backdrop of 1,000,000+ small donors each contributing an average of $34 to President Trump last quarter, Rupert Murdoch’s media outlet quickly jumped to the typeset to proclaim Ron DeSantis, as measured by billionaire contributions, as the richest political candidate in U.S. history.
Buried near the end of their article they note this, “A significant portion of Never Back Down’s fundraising was money transferred from funds originally raised to support DeSantis’ 2022 gubernatorial re-election.”
[Funny enough, after we mocked them on the Twitter, Fox News stealth edited the article to note the $82 million.]
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis brought in an impressive $20 million in fundraising during the first six weeks of his campaign for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, his political team told Fox News on Thursday.
Never Back Down, the super PAC supporting the Florida governor’s presidential run, in a separate announcement told Fox News that they’ve hauled in $130 million in fundraising since the committee launched in early March.
[…] Nearly half of the governor’s haul – $8.2 million – came in the first 24 hours after DeSantis declared his candidacy, his team announced in late May.
The DeSantis campaign highlighted in a release shared first with Fox News that their haul was the “largest first-quarter filing from any non-incumbent Republican candidate in more than a decade.” (read more)
Note something they don’t brag about? The average contribution amount.
Nowhere in the article do they want to even touch the issue of average contribution amount, which is likely in the $300/$500 range because it’s mostly BIG DOLLAR donors and professional political bundlers. Hence the Yale Club dinner in New York City last week.
The $6,600/plate appearance was the latest effort by Team DeSantis to connect to the ordinary working-class voter he needs to try and regain footing after his effort has fallen short of the Sea Island billionaires’ expectations.
Despite the combined efforts of Rupert Murdoch, Ken Griffin, Elon Musk, the Sea Island billionaires, hedge fund managers, Wall Street groups and a host of multinational corporations, recent polling shows the richest fundraiser in the GOP field has failed to gain traction with the lesser controllable voters.
Additionally, the purchased right-side media, Daily Wire, Salem Inc. and a strong coalition of “conservative influencers” are producing diminishing returns.
The former Team Cruz crowd is pushing hard, but it becomes a complicated dynamic of influence when they must pretend they are not aligned with Jeb and the Bush clan.
DeSantis is now promising to use tariffs against Mexico, break up the federal government, attack the FBI and DOJ and start shooting Mexicans at the border in a last-ditch effort to convince the suspicious crowd that his association with the spooks from Skull and Bones is only an optical illusion.
The tiaras of Casey are contingent upon selling a carefully branded narrative, that thus far has not captured enough of the sheeple masses for success. Today the campaign announced that Casey DeSantis would take the place of Ron in public appearances.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NewsNation) — Florida governor and GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis’ wife, Casey, appeared in Iowa on Thursday to launch the grassroots group “Mamas for DeSantis,” hoping to boost his presidential hopes with a charismatic flare critics say the candidate himself lacks. This just inspired me to donate, again!
Are you donating thru winred?
Every winred solicitation was reported as spam after numerous requests to unsubscribe. GOPe/RNC get nothing from me.
ok give
Obviously Mims is a plant working for the DeSantis tribe!

All campaigns attempt to put a positive spin on their fundraising hauls. But there are serious caveats to this one.
$83M came from a Super PAC transfer, much of it dating back to when Trump supporters were still supporting him as governor. $50M was raised since March.
> $8M of the $20M raised in first 6 weeks, came in the first 24 hours. It’s appx. $12M since.
$20M came from space/defense contractor and the late Harry Reid’s close friend, Robert Bigelow.
Without the spin, it’s still a decent haul. But it actually displays the same declining trend since March as his polling numbers.

It’s also worth noting that they have put that money to use and the situation is the situation.
In other words, they didn’t just haul it in. They’ve been spending it. And the more they spent, the more he fell in the polling.
If that’s not a loud @$$ alarm, you’re deaf.

Campaign donations are used as indicators by the billionaire puppet masters for all candidates as some kind of evidence of popular support.
There was a time that worked somewhat but the Trump years and Sundance has exposed it as the lie it is…
Waiting fir the next “go f*%#* yourself tweet

“DeSantis is now promising to use tariffs against Mexico, break up the federal government, attack the FBI and DOJ and start shooting Mexicans at the border”
Good grief. He’s turning into the guy with the short hair, sunglasses and polo shorts who wants you to help kidnap Whitmer.
Ron is John McCain. Conservative for a few months before the election and Democrat from the election on. Ron will talk Woke but will vote Globalist.
This, a thousand times. DeSantis started out strong a year ago as a solid get-er-done candidate, but when he accepted the Bush dollars, he also accepted their obligation.
And that obligation is to lie and lie to get elected, and once he’s in the White House, forget every promise he made to make sure the garbage oligarch class who paid for him is taken care of first and last.
Suckers no more. Scatter the Deep State and their globalist masters to the wind, and confiscate everything.
Trump or Bust!

Ron! is now going to be Casey!?
Seems Ron! isn’t selling well.
Casey imo is even more grating.
Ken Griffen is really all anyone would need to know. It’s hard to be too critical of these guys who are nothing and need the bundled money to compete. Our system is systemically corrupted by that fact. That is why the only people I trust are people like Trump and Vivek who are independently wealthy enough and sufficiently married to a national economic agenda to provide assurance that the interests of my children are protected. However, Trump trumps Vivek in sheer personality and experience. I do admire Vivek because new blood in our America First Agenda is absolutely necessary.
It is still too early for me with Vivek. Talks a good game, but why did he need to open a Conservative Money Managing Business at the same time? Vivek is just too smooth. Become a governor and manage some government then run for President. A guy like Trump is generational. Having 2 of them around at the same time makes me suspicious.
Vivek is a WEF young global leader, No NEVER Vivek.
I will vote for President Trump again but I’ll be shocked if he’s not in jail by the time November 2024 rolls around.
Prepare to be shocked
Only PDJT has the battle scars to show for being in the ring – DeSantis and the rest of’m in comparison are all pussies.
-Theodore Roosevelt
This quote by Teddy Roosevelt is something the self-righteous and grifting Cruzbots will never get – they are pussies.
This is where the DeSantis campaign is using the “Ron is now back in Florida doing his job and Casey is standing in for him because he is sooo busy ” excuse for the fact RDS can’t connect.
RDS wanted it all too fast and running against Trump was a big mistake. I would bet Casey pushed it with her husband because she wants it more than him.
With all due respect Debbie, you are overthinking this. TopGuv DisHonest is a closet Communist…we just never saw it until about one-two years ago. He’s always been Uniparty… always.
The legislature is not in session so Ron! has to find something to do in FL.
Ron isn’t selling well so why not trot out Casey?
She’s more aggressive but as the left rightly stated, she is the Walmart version of Melania with out the grace, brains or elegance.
It’s sad.
Annnnd it is Business As Usual, with the Elite Against the Serfs!
Exploiting the sick wife, has to be the ultimate in manipulative emotional exploitation.
Incarnate Evil.
It is almost funny, if it wasn’t so sad, to see the Republicans self destruct before even an election is held. Once Trump and DeSantis decided not to team up you could hear the first shot land in the foot of the Republican Party. Everyday another body part takes another bullet. By election time the party will be so divided, the democrats won’t need to cheat to win. F’ING SAD!!
The Republican Party is a dead man walking. The only question is when.
she makes my skin CRAWL….
The folks that contributed to Ron’s campaign for governor, and don’t want their money to be transferred to his campaign for presidency, should ask Ron for the return of their donation.
👆👆👆
Throwing sand in the machinery….😁…I LIKE IT!
So Casey’s having to talk for Ron… Kind of like Jill talking for and pulling Biden around isn’t it?
RNC…RNC clean up in Isle 24.
What is that they say about “a fool and his money ?”
Mammas for DeSantis? That is so cringe.
If I recall correctly the continuous reports about the vast amount of fund raising on the part of Hillary Clinton v that of DJT resulted in a win for the candidate the media consistently reported as the “underdog.”
I know this is very serious, however the subject matter and your style of writing does make me chuckle.
$6,600 per plate to attempt to reconnect with “the (deplorable) working class” LOFL! 🤣
I recently sent a letter to the DeSantis financial team to ask for removal from their list. I have been a supporter of DeSantis since he began to campaign for Congress in 2011. I’ve known him well for thirteen years and I even kept two of his cats. Our Ponte Vedra Beach Conservative Women’s group arranged several fundraising events and helped much in grassroots efforts. I gave the DeSantis campaign for Governor a substantial amount of money in 2022. Now I’m ashamed of having participated in this fiasco. He seems like a different person to me. Either he changed his ways or I was just deceived for all these years. I said in my letter that I was voting for Donald Trump and, that I deserve a refund on my donation for Governor because he didn’t keep his word. I didn’t give the donation for him to run for President!
I find it interesting that the more money DeSantis group receives in donations, the lower his polls. We the People are not stupid!
You know… I am so grateful for all of you sane Americans and those wordly, prospective immigrants here at Sundance’s Treehouse! The knowledge here is immeasurable.

According to Open Secrets, in the 2022 cycle for DeSantis over $63 million of contributions are ‘untraceable’
Stick a fork in it Meatball

i could n ot take 4 years of casey and desantis voice is so
bad i fremish whe i hear him he is not going anywhere neither
that dictator casey shaking her finger like a politician at my tv
Here’s what you can bet on, 80% of that money came from “out of state” donors! The same type of donors who keep the democrat party going. DeSantis has not been doing well, and this is a publicity stunt to make it look like he’s gaining ground fast and doing well, when in reality some of his other less known contenders are actually rapidly catching up to him. DeSantis has been falling on his face across the country. So they have pulled back, and have decided to spend their time and money in Florida where he is best known. Unfortunately, he has alienated some of his admirers even there since it has become known that many radical leftists, money backers of the democrats, are now throwing money his way in hopes of defeating Trump, and of course the RNC is all in on Trump being defeated as well. I wrote this before reading Rich Baris’ comments, but we are definitely on the same page.
