Exactly what I thought. What he has is an incredible gift for making this complicated and convoluted issue, and so many others, absolutely understandable and relatable. I go to sleep tonight feeling so much better than I did last night.
I have personally listened to dozens of Trump speeches(I dare say I have heard almost every interview and almost every single speech he has ever given since his announcement for President the first time). In terms of content, this was his best speech. No joking around. But then, the situation called for it. He was not smiling, he was not happy, he did not dance after this speech, and for the first time that I can remember, he spent serious time talking about the toll the Biden’s DOJ attacks have had on his family. He mentioned this before, but not with so much detail. When the crowd chanted “lock him up” he moved on to his next point and the crowd realized that he was not in campaign mode. He was upset. He warned the Republicans to be more aggressive.
I got the sense that from this day onward, he will be keeping account of those Republicans that are playing the game, as opposed to those that really want to set things straight for the American people. Notice Grassley, and JD Vance? They get it. So does Luna, Gaetz, Bobert, and maybe give or take 50-70 House members. Trump warned MTG to be more proactive,(we heard that in his Georgia speech a few days ago) I think she got the hint. He was serious. And when he said he would obliterate the deep state, he meant it. I feel sorry for those guys at the top of the alphabet agencies. Communism works when you can keep the people down. America is far far from that stage. And I think today, it just hit those folks. Maybe we will see charges dropped? I do not expect it, but it would not surprise me.
