If the goal was to railroad Trump, there was no need to call Robert Costello as a witness. That’s how you indict a ham sandwich. You can simply let the defense bring out that evidence during trial. They not only called him, but they let him testify broadly with 100s of pages of documented evidence. Totally unnecessary for establishing “probable cause for indictment!”
DA/DOJ appears to have panicked and are backtracking. President Trump is gracious enough to let them.

Trump is not a ham sandwich. He is not a common target of prosecution who is only interested in staying out of jail. He pressured to be allowed to testify before GJ. When prosecutors didn’t allow him to present the evidence to exonerate PI, HE spewed it all out in his testimony.

A law enforcement source told Fox News on Monday that the Manhattan grand jury is still hearing evidence against the former president and has another witness slated to testify on Wednesday; and that Trump’s arraignment, if he were to be indicted in the case, would not be expected until next week.

Reiss is the former “Chief of Social Justice” in the Brooklyn D.A.’s Office and she is also the Executive Director of the Institute For Innovation In Prosecution appointed by the previous Manhattan D. A. Cyrus Vance Jr. Put all of this together and you can see this entire affair is entirely political. That is one reason among several why Alvin Bragg has to go through with an indictment. It’s also why Donald Trump will be indicted in Georgia at some point; very probably by the DOJ at some point, and by Letitia James.
One reason for these indictments is that the time and money Trump and his staff spend on fighting baseless criminal charges is time and money not spent on the 2024 presidential campaign.
