Fox News host Tucker Carlson became public enemy #1 as a result of him showing some of the CCTV footage from the January 6, 2021, protests in Washington DC. Collectively both parties in Washington DC and their stenographers in the mainstream media spent the last day in hysteric criticism of Tucker Carlson.
The need for control is a reaction to fear, and Mr. Carlson seems to understand that sunlight always brings forth the greatest demands for control. In his opening segment tonight, Mr. Carlson took on the critics directly. WATCH:

Is Fox genuflecting to Schumer and McConnell?
You didn’t really think this would be the bullet that did in the UNIPARTY, did you? We’ve known for quite a while that Fox isn’t really MAGA. Just look at their reporting on Election Day 2020. And we know they are in DeSanti’s corner now. That includes Tucker, most likely, if you listen between the lines of what he’s said in the past and still saying now. Anyone working for Fox is indeed controlled opposition. And their purpose? To give people hope that this country can be fixed peacefully. Because the one thing the UNIPARTY doesn’t want to see are multi-million person protests of the election fraud with 2nd Amendment carriers in the crowds to keep them from shutting down the protests. I disagree that Tucker is as-controlled as other Fox program hosts. I **do** believe he is careful to not make assertions for which he has not been satisfied that he has unimpeachable evidence.
GB Bari, while never a TC fan, I am inclined to believe your assertion, and for the first time, I am paying attention to TC.
Thanks, GRM. IMHO, Tucker brings important information to a large audience who may not otherwise see or hear that information outside of it being heavily spun by other TV media to the point of being totally false.
Nonetheless, I watch Tucker carefully to see if he is averting (what I believe to be) critical information within the topics he addresses. So far, he has a relatively high batting average compared to his TV news peers.
I’ll agree that Tucker is not as controlled as other Fox program hosts, ASSUMING that the reason I gave for him possibly being controlled (in other words, giving people hope this can be settled peacefully to prevent something that can’t be controlled from occurring, is not valid). But you have to admit that FoxNews management has certainly looked a little like it might be controlled media for quite a while now. I know a lot of folks here think it is … I’m not alone. So why would they allow Tucker to do what he’s been doing?
A number of posters even asked why he hasn’t been fired, given the obvious disparity between his actions and what appears to be the position of management. Maybe the answer lies in whether management think Tucker releasing these tapes and saying what he said will change the likelihood that something can be done to release the people in jail and stop the election fraud that we all know is coming in 2024. If they don’t think that, then why is that? Maybe encouraging people to have hope that progress is being made towards those ends, when it isn’t, is their way of keeping things peaceful until the next election is upon us … and it’s too late to fix it?
Notice that Spkr. McCarthy directly gave to Tucker Carlson the 41K recordings; he dd not give them to Fox Management. There’s a reason for that, and IMHO it may partly be found in Tucker’s contract with Fox where, according to TC himself in a recent interview, he has exclusive authority to pick the topics and the information he presents. I have not seen that contract nor has any other pundit or conservative talk show host or blogger (of which I am aware).
I also think the Tucker, in line with his claim to being as objective as possible on all topics, views the seven years of weaponized federal government, Democrat, GOPe, & MSM attacks on Candidate-then-President Trump as being way out of line and 99% unjustified. As such, it is then not a very long leap to then conclude that all the stories about Trump’s incitement of the January 6 “insurrection” was equally as dishonestly fabricated. The videos lend credence to that conclusion. Tucker knows that.

Yes, but remember that McCarthy, who many had legitimate concerns about being a RINO, and who was struggling to win the speakership, used the agreement to provide the tapes to Carlson to win the Speakership. He didn’t do it just because he supports MAGA. And if he hadn’t done that, there was real possibility that someone who is clearly MAGA would have ended up speaker. Maybe the UNIPARTY killed two birds with this one stone.
In fact, after Tucker played excerpts from the tapes, what was McCarthy reaction? He said “Each person can come up with their own conclusion”. He showed so little interest in what Carlson broadcast that he stated “I didn’t see what was aired.” Can you imagine that? And when asked if he believed Jan 6 was an insurrection, he didn’t say no … he avoided the question entirely.
In fact, back in January 2021, McCarthy said that Trump “bears responsibility” for the Jan 6 attack “on Congress by mob rioters.” It was reported by the NYTimes that he told Liz Cheney and other Republican leaders that he was going to ask Trump to resign! He denied it, saying that claim was “totally false and wrong.” And a day later, audio of him saying that was release. He then claimed he “never thought” Trump should resign. And he’s on record saying Biden was the rightful next president and that Antifa played no role in the riots (which is a lie). I wonder what he says about FBI involvement? He’s also a Ukraine war supporter, even now (a UNIPARTY position).
Notice also that McCarthy said he “worked with the Capital police” on what video would be provided to Carlson. That implies that Tucker may not have gotten all the video there was. That implies McCarthy coordinated with possibly guilty parties. McCarthy also said he had “no” concerns about any Capital Police officers when he clearly should.
Add all that together and I don’t think that’s the type of MAGA leadership we need. McCarthy’s are not the actions and beliefs of someone we can or should trust as being MAGA in my opinion. We should question the motives of everything he does or says now.
And notice something else about Carlson. Recent court filings show that Carlson, in 2020, referred to the election fraud claims as “absurd” and “insane”. He called Trump “a demonic force, a destroyer.” Even now, he keeps taking pot shots at Trump which suggests that at best he’s in DeSantis’ camp. You don’t know his true allegiance..
Bottom line … all the facts we have are consistent with the possibility that McCarthy and Tucker are part of the UNIPARTY, or at least that McCarthy and UNIPARTY are using Tucker to give false hope to conservatives so they don’t do anything effective about 2024 election fraud before it’s too late to do something. You know that tactic democRATS perfected over the years … delay delay delay?

WHatever yo ubeleieve,Tucker is exposing the truth, not only to the American people but to the lawyers of the Jan 6th prisoners. Last night the elequant lawyer who represented the Shaman, shown peacefully being escorted through the Capital by several police, not being destructive in any way ,revealed that this obviously exculpatory evidence was withheld from him- which is against the law. Whether the Lawyers or the Judge did it, someone’s head should roll, and the lawyer shuld be given access to all the tapes so he can file an appeal. Now I imagine that every one still in jail (and those who plead out, will want their lawyers to see the entirety onf the tae because it is obvious than Jan 6th committee selectively picked their cuts and told a story that was very different than what the tapes Tucker showed revealed. And holding back exculpatory evidence when you have it is ILLEGAL
While Carlson has seemed to be revealing the distortion in the J6 Clown Circus, what will become of any potential LAWFARE against those promulgating the lies??? I remember some of the speeches given by the objecting congressman post-riot. I was absolutely furious they were going to drop the whole thing. Kelly Loeffler comes to mind. You can still find her remarks on youtube.
Is there any record of all these events/emergencies in the congressional record of that day that can be looked up to show that they used an emergency to suspend the motions and events?

Ultimately, whether a coup has taken place or not depends on your intention and how you choose to present the events.
