Let me qualify this post and question by saying this is something I have wanted to ask and write about for quite a while. I often ask this question to people I meet in general life discussion, and I am very interested to hear every response. Today is a great day to ask this…
Think back… So, you are living your life, doing what you and everyone familiar to you are doing in the ordinary and regular way of living your specific life.
Perhaps you paid some attention to the political comings and goings of things, perhaps not.
Perhaps like most comfortably invisible people you were just putting one foot in front of the other, and generally doing the day-to-day things that most would consider ordinary.
Then one day, for some unknown and likely not that consequential reason, something caught your attention. Something piqued your curiosity; perhaps you noticed something you wouldn’t ordinarily have noticed. Perhaps you heard something, or saw something, or were just in a situational space where something itched your brain as you looked at something, heard something or noticed something that just didn’t quite fit or sit right.
Perhaps that little something, or big something, caused you to look just a little bit closer at the story, event or moment with a little more curiosity than before. Perhaps you dug into that specific moment with a little more than a side-eye glance, and you noticed something. After looking at it a little closer, you realized that construct was not at all what it appeared to be on the surface.
From that moment forward, for the first time, you really started to question the ‘thing’ that was in front of you, and from that moment forward, you woke up to recognize that things around you, things you perhaps didn’t pay attention to before, were not what you thought they were. It was from this moment when you really started to pay attention and your political awakening began.
Question: When was that moment for you?
I am always amazed at the replies I get in real life to this question of when the individual awakening began.
For some it was at an early age, for others much later in life. For some it was recently, and for others it was a long time ago. However, for everyone there was that moment when it started, and it is completely unique to the individual.
So, on this day, Sunday February 19, 2023, a generally innocuous day in the grand scheme of things, I pose this question to everyone.
Yes, even all the CTH lurkers who read here and never join the conversation. The comment section is open for all replies with the general rules of on-line decorum still standing. Us old schoolers still use the early internet standards of on-line discussion, and CTH requests polite and civil conversation that enlightens, expands thinking and uplifts the audience.
I am genuinely curious and will be reading every reply because it’s really cool to see what that “moment” was for each person. I’m pretty sure the entire CTH community will also enjoy reading the unique replies to the question.
We all travel a different path. We all come from different, likely comfortably invisible, life experiences. And we all merge into this big melting pot of curious people who are looking deeply at the issues we face. Regardless of how each of us arrived here, the larger dynamic is that we likely share a common curiosity for the reality of our situation. It’s a safe bet to say that almost everyone reading this is in the top-tier of “high information” consumers.
My question is not what arrived you at The Conservative Treehouse, but rather what the moment was when you began looking around and realizing that things just didn’t seem to add up. That’s the origin of the journey. That’s the moment I am inquiring about.
Perhaps it’s a weird way of looking at CTH, but our fellowship is always what has been the most important aspect to this little corner of the internet. It’s not the content of the Treehouse, but the conversation on the porch that matters. You, the readers, friends, people who assemble here, are the important element. Not me and not the site admins.
That’s genuinely the way I have always looked at our fellowship, and that’s also the reason for every detail I put into keeping this little corner of the internet standing.
So, with that in mind, what was that moment in your life when you realized the social, political and/or media narrative, was not at all what it was presented to be?
Love to all,
~ Sundance

My first inkling that something didn’t seem right, and triggered a special interest in political events, occurred during Obama’s candidacy for U.S. President. Although I had followed some politics prior to his running for President, I felt manipulated from the beginning. Specifically, I didn’t understand how anyone could seemingly “come out of nowhere” and rise to that level of acceptance and gravitas in such a short time period.
My curiosity was piqued enough that I started regularly watching Fox News, and specifically Hannity, back when he was the only media person besides Rush who actually broached the subject of Obama’s obscured past. Upon finding out about the scrubbing of any documentation surrounding his family’s origin, records at Columbia, etc., I started to get an uneasy feeling that there had to be handlers and many men behind the curtain.
And to add to my outlook where everything became “curiouser and curiouser” was when Hannity brought up how Obama’s decision to run took place in Bill Ayers’ living room; and Obama’s attendance at Rev. Wright’s church promoting Black Liberation theology went on for 20 years.
But beyond becoming acquainted with these facts, the awareness that almost NO ONE in the media followed through on trying to find out for potential voters just who this guy really was, pushed my interest even further. Along with the failure of coverage, I observed that the only two people in the media even addressing it (Hannity and Rush) were roundly criticized, demonized, and called hate-mongering conspiricists. For the first time in my life I was witnessing a total blackout of one particular subject.
From that point in time, I became one SUSPICIOUS CAT (H/T to Sundance for putting a name to how I was feeling!) As I watched in horror Obama’s Presidency unfold, including Obamacare’s becoming law through trickery in the middle of the night, completely opening up the borders, deliberate destruction of the energy sector and consequently the economy (won’t go on because it’s seemingly endless); I knew I had to move on from Fox News and dig deeper. So in 2015 I went to the Internet, and was so fortunate that someone on Breitbart posted a link to CTH. I found what I was looking for — TRUTH — and had no need to look further.
So the moment in time for me when something didn’t feel right was during the 2008 Presidential election.
Obama sure did come out of nowhere. I live in Illinois and hardly knew of him! Like all of a sudden he’s visiting community colleges and his name is in the news. Like someone flipped a switch and he was on every channel
I was not in the Trump camp until the final debate with Hillary in 2016. When she would place no limits on when an abortion could take place up to the moment of birth, a switch went off, I voted for VSGPDJT and haven’t looked back. My entire viewpoint changed about the pervasive reality of pure evil in the world (even though I was aware before then). The past seven years have only opened my eyes further. I discovered this site then and (in addition to God’s daily grace) the incisive coverage of the world here has helped me stay sane, though cynicism has certainly crept in. Thank you for all you do.
Late 1980s. Was watching the Network News (probably ABC) and for some reason switched over to the other network. They were doing the same story. Switched the 3rd Network. They had THE SAME STORY.
What grabbed my attention was that the story was not a BIG news story that day. It got my attention. Then they went with the 2nd story. ALL THREE NETWORKS HAD THE SAME STORY. THEN THE THIRD.
That is when I realized that the news was staged for the public.
I started questioning the JFK narrative after I graduated high school in 1986, my eyes were opened a bit more after 9/11 and pretty much fully opened during the 2008 election.
That moment for me was early in the Obama years. I was watching my local news and I started to notice a change in how it was delivered. The most obvious change was a pattern of racial bias. Emphasizing race whenever they could. I knew what they were doing was wrong and harmful so I began to search out other media outlets and began speaking up online. Not too long after is when I noticed the online speech censorship began and then peaked after Trump was elected President. This has all quickly metastasized into the absurd woke ideology we see today.
Turns out, my first intuitions about what was happening early on was right.
It first was noticed with the draft lottery with me. I was a 35 and knew I was going with such a low number. Then when those 7 draft dodgers went to Canada and Jimmah Cahtah welcomed those back, was my epiphany moment. A jaundiced eye was cast to everything from any administration. Stands true to this day! Sign me a proud Viuetnam vet that paid his dues!
When I cut my cable, even to FoxNews.
1993, when Slick Willy received the presidency. I remember pushing my young daughter in her stroller to go vote, and not for Slick Willy. I saw through his smooth talk. I always knew and thought the Dems were corrupt, but I didn’t realize that the Republicans were just as corrupt until Bush Jr. for the first time in 2020, I didn’t have to push the button for the “lesser of two evils.” Trump had more than proved himself by then of being a terrific Commander In Chief. 2016 I voted for Trump (not knowing anything about him), because there was no way in hell I was voting for the Clinton witch. I don’t know how to turn the ship around unless we stop the vote fraud, which concerns me greatly with the RINO governors we have in supposedly “red” States.
I really became aware during the 2016 Presidential campaign.
Until then I took everything at face value.
It started with me when I began engaging in the gun control debate on USNET back in 2003. Later I moved on to learning about Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming. I noticed there seemed to be an underlying theme coming almost exclusively from the left pushing the debates. Once Obama became President, I knew something was up and have been suspicious of big government, big corporations, and big academic institutions ever since.
For me, it was the COVID debacle. I have a science background and the constant harping to take the jab concerned me. The mask mandates and all that followed that shocked me. I know science, and no science supported what the government was forcing on us. I was against the vaccine mandate from the beginning and refused it. I caught flack for that. Because I’m a disabled veteran, I’m dependent on the VA for much of my medical care. They pressured me to get the jab, but I refused. They insisted I wear a mask and I did at first, but then I refused that as well. I can remember being the only person at the VA not wearing a mask. Staff kept handing masks to me, so I would carry one in my hand. When questioned or reminded to put it on, I pointed out that the mask in my hand was every bit as effective in protecting me as a mask on my face, but unlike the mask on my face, the mask in my hand did not harm me. It took many months, but the harassment finally stopped. I’m no longer the only Vet at the VA walking around without a mask.
I’m a frequent Costco shopper. Costco went overboard on mask-wearing. Early on I refused the mask there as well. They told me I must wear one, but I ignored them. I remember seeing an elderly woman maskless there for the first time. We smiled at each other. It was nice seeing another unmasked face. Finally, Costco came to its senses and dropped the stupid, worthless, mask mandate. Knowing what we now know, I feel vindicated for my actions. My only regret was my wife was forced to take the Jab at her college. It was that or not to attend classes. She’s having problems now and I feel guilty for not pressing her to transfer to another school. That is hard to live with.
I started really paying attention during the mid-1980’s at the age of 32 when I was a travelling mental health worker, spent a lot of time in a car listening to talk radio, and discovered Rush Limbaugh. Gradually I came to realize that the legacy media outlets were heavily biased toward leftist ideas and actively deceiving the public. I had already voted for Reagan in 1980 (my first vote for a Republican president). Rush really helped me to see the importance of paying close attention to politics and recognizing the strings that were being pulled. Now I cannot un-see the string pulling.
For me it was when Sarah Palin was just terribly minimized by the so called conservatives. I realized that the concept of RINO is so appropriate. In addition the feminist movement is such a ruse.
Exactly! Naming her VP, then the GOP treating her like dumb white trash!
Didn’t get to be a news junkie until reading and listening to Dr. Warner and Robert Spencer.
Then after complaining to my brother that I desired a less censored news analysis, he set me onto gatesofvienna.net, CTH and Hillsdale College!
This former librarian (NOT an information specialist!) abhors all the censorship and attacks against the Constitution.
When the media all agreed that Goldwater would nuke the world so that Johnson could get us into Vietnam.
I started to wake up in 2008 with the stock market crash. I realized it was all rigged. Started prepping back then. In early 2018 I found the 17th letter and dug even deeper. When CoVid hit in early 2020 and all the mandates for masking and vaccines started, as a physician I realized just how full of non science nonsense our FDA, CDC, and NIH are. They have been completely captured by Big Pharma $$ and no longer have public health as their top priority. THAT’S really when I realized the extent of the corruption was WAY BEYOND what I had even imagined. Our government agencies are purposefully KILLING us and they are getting away with it. Evil. Evil. Evil.
Bill Clinton and signing of NAFTA 1993. Which led me to look more closely at Clinton and see how he and his administration was in bed with the Chinese. After that, I just kept digging and seeing more things.
“That giant sucking sound” Perfect soundbite by Ross Perot. It leaves me asking what if?
Reading all these comments here today, it strikes me again and again how many of us here at CTH voted for Ross Perot.
I was made to feel very guilty about my vote back then.
I hear you. I heard over and over Slick Willy won because you voted for Ross Perot. I couldn’t stomach voting for “read my lips, no new taxes.”
When Ovomit betrayed us on the 2nd Amendment.
Arriving from a communist country as an adult more than 20 years ago.
It was back them the same I had just abandoned. It is more so now.
It is all a big pretending that no one believes. It is all a lie to fool the honest majority until they are, step by step, force to abandon the last vestiges of honesty and integrity for the sake of survival.
It is communism all around us.
“It is all a big pretending that no one believes. It is all a lie to fool the honest majority until they are, step by step, force to abandon the last vestiges of honesty and integrity for the sake of survival.”
If this is to be our future “with them” in control, I see no downside in their removal!
just sayin
any way possible Laughing Waters.
During Mitt Romeny for POTUS and the discovery of Rules for Radicles
It would be early high school for me circa 1966 – 1968 at the absolute latest. I graduated in 1970. Nothing ever really changed for me, in a sense, because my viewpoints never changed as far back as I can remember, and I have a great memory. Anyways, at least from the point of early HS, I recognized the prejudiced media. I was always a voracious reader of history books and magazines and newspapers. I read the ” Sunday NY Times” and almost never agreed with their political bent. I loved the ” Times” for the arts and travel sections among all else. Politically, I was more in tune with the “NY Daily News” who at the time were a right of center paper but thought them too lowbrow. I read “Time”, “Newsweek”, “US News and World Report”, “Atlantic”, “The New Yorker” and “The National Review”. The only TV news program I remembered trusting was “Firing Line. I have always been a MAGA type. I was a Goldwater and William F Buckley fan at the time.
In my early 20’s, the Ken Starr hearings, how the Clintons got away with lying and murder, and then realized that Nixon was entrapped and exiled for far less. The administrative state was clearly in charge and protects those they install, and eliminates those they can’t control.
The great communicator – the dearly missed Rush – started my “waking up” late ’80’s listening to his radio show. Before I discovered Rush I stayed pretty informed about US / world happenings. But his show really made me realize our US government is not here to help us and purposefully hides the truth by plan. With the election of President Trump & his constant outing & efforts to ” Drain the swamp” I had “cold anger” about the people in government & their agenda. Going forward I realized the main stream news is not our friend either.
In 2015 I found CTH ( think through Breitbart) and have been a here ever since. Sundance has opened my eyes so much more. His articles/posts are always spot on. The whole covid plandemic also made me realize how quick people are to listen to the “experts” when all they were spouting was lies.
I’d like to think that Rush is reading all these comments from his heavenly home.
Growing up as a kid with a Vietnam combat vet as a father. I remember him screaming for medievacs and the torture scars on his back. What sealed the deal was Waco and the Branch Davidians.
I was a Reagan Generation kid. University tried to pull me left. I was never a “political” person but…
I think around 1992 during the Perot/Bush rivalry Rush Limbaugh made some points on issues dealing with the environment that resonated–and went counter to the garbage propaganda that was out there. That coupled with my own knowledge of “unethical research to gain funding” turned the bulb on for me.
I’ve never looked back.
The 1st Gulf War
I’m an AF brat & I was raised to think for myself & to question everything. My parents taught us never to believe anything that we heard & only half of what we saw. They were lifelong democrats that voted for Obama. Twice. I loved them anyway.
My wake up moment was the impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton when perjury became acceptable because it was just “lying about extramarital sex.” The lamestream media’s lying & obfuscation became clearly identifiable at that point.
My understanding of the reality of a UniParty solidified with GHWB’s “New World Order” public statements.
Everything that has happened since has reinforced my disgust with them all.
It’s an interesting question.
I can’t remember the point when I realized the media was lying to us, though I read a couple of fiction novels in my twenties that really made me think.
George HW Bush’s “Read My Lips” statement was when I realized politicians, both Democrat and Republican lie to us.
However, I didn’t pay much attention to politics, read or watch the news, mainly because of the lying thing and I got married and had kids and had better things to do, lol!
My great awakening was the unrelenting harassment of President Trump. I went searching for some alternate opinions than Fox news. Can’t remember what the story was, but it concerned Italy (during the Mueller farce). That’s when I found CTH. Frankly, at first I thought what Sundance wrote, couldn’t possibly true, but his ‘predictions’ kept coming true, lol!
I think JFK was my first red pill. Researching the matter over the years revealed that were 10 known bullets shot:
1) striking the street and generating sparks behind the limo;
2) Main Street curb near the overpass next to James Tague;
3) manhole cover as reported by Officer Foster;
4) a freeway sign on Elm;
5) a 4″ long bullet mark in the sidewalk on Elm Street;
6) Governor Connelly;
7) JFK’s back;
8) entry wound at JFK’s throat;
9) the right front of JFK’s head; and
10) a distinct bullet hole in the limo windshield, reported by Officers Ellis and Freeman, journalist Richard Dudman, and George Whittaker, manager at a Ford plant, who said that a bullet was shot through the front of the windshield and that he replaced the limo’s windshield.
All of the Clinton’s skullduggery was another big red pill. Dead men don’t talk and how many skeletons are in their closet?
9-11 was another big red pill. The 610 foot tall WTC Building 7, with 58 steel perimeter columns and 25 internal steel core columns, was not struck by an airplane and yet it collapsed on 9-11 like a controlled demolition in 6.5 seconds.
President Trump said, “First of all, the original 9-11 investigation is a total mess and has to be reopened. How do 2 planes take out 3 buildings in the same day?” “I never got my head around the fact that nothing is mentioned about the destruction of Building 7 in the 585-page document.” Trump said 9-11 was not properly investigated and vowed to get to the bottom of it. That is one of the reasons that President Trump had to be removed from office.
In the 60’s when the teachers were more interested in Camelot than teaching.
I knew there was plenty of bad governmental stuff going on; but it wasn’t till 2002 when the teacher of an options-trading weekend seminar said, mysteriously, “Read Creature from Jekyll Island, it will change your life.” Most here will know it’s a thoroughly-documented account of who owns the Federal Reserve, how that came to pass, and what the horrific and far-reaching effects are.
It took me about five years to finally get around to reading it, which may be good because seeing how insanely powerful the banking cartel is, was VERY depressing. I had to sort of shove it in the background in order not to be overwhelmed by the bad news.
Still, with that info, you start pulling details together, realizing bit by bit by bit how things actually work.
I’m ashamed to say I still bought in to things like the Arab Spring, didn’t know anything about so many [all?] of the terror attacks, school shootings, etc, being fake.
It wasn’t till 2014 & the viral video about Ukraine’s Maidan, that things really started to click. I didn’t watch more than a few minutes of that obvious actress (such a pretty thing!) saying with utterly fake innocence that “we just want to be free” – in a video supposedly by some free-lance nobody, yet with the highest production values …
I knew absolutely nothing about Russia, much less Ukraine, but I knew that video smelled to high heaven: fake as could be.
So back then, to find info debunking any Official Story, you could just add the word “hoax” to a search – “Ukraine Viral Video HOAX” – and google would obediently serve up all the articles explaining things like color revolutions, how the US State Dept was in Kiev hiring snipers to turn the protests violent, the fact that the video was actually commissioned by the CFR; the history since WWII of the US’ fomenting Nazism in Ukraine, how it’s a hub for human trafficking, bioweapons-labs (yes, even back then the info was available) and many, many other evil practices…
And, I began to listen to Putin’s & Lavrov’s high statesmanship, making US politicians look like bratty teenagers at best; I learned about BRICS, and so forth – learned that hope is indeed on the horizon, not just the depressing situation described in Jekyll Island, which had been written in the mid-90’s.
And that was MY real turning point.
November 2020, when they stole the election right in front of everyone.
The first time was in 1979 when I first experienced people paying as if someone was actually listening on the other end rather than religious prayers geared for those listening in the seats.
The second time was when G.W. Bush pandered to Christians during the primary only to conveniently forget about them for the rest of his presidency.
Oops, praying not paying in the first sentence. LOL
Coming back again to lay some history.
Not only was my family (Grandfather, Father, etc.) involved in local politics (the machinations), but they were also a breed of problem-solvers, inventors & tinkerers.
For example, my Grandfather (with the help of my Father & an Uncle) invented, what they called ‘The Side-O-Matic’.
What is the Side-O-Matic? You will see them on the roads everywhere. (Thank you Grandpa!)
They invented/created the Side-O-Matic to solve the problem of how to get cinder blocks loaded onto a truck. It is an hydraulic arm (boom), attached to a flat-bed truck — with steel cables & a metal ‘fork’. That metal fork fits into cinder blocks, in order to lift them (using hydraulics) to load them onto the bed of a truck. Wooden pallets are also loaded using the same device.
That was my Grandfather’s invention (on his own free time), only he never got the credit for it — because the company, which employed him at the time — sent in their team of lawyers — gave my Grandfather a small sum of $$ — and took possession of the invention.
My Father was an electrician/electrical engineer — who invented many, many electrical devices — which solved problems he encountered at his place of employment. Again, his name is on none of those inventions, as his employer grabbed them as ‘intellectual property’.
So, not only did ‘politics’ leave a ‘bad taste in my mouth’ at a young age — but so did the legal profession.
History. True history is facts from the past. Distorted history is just that — a distortion.
The first time I visited the “grassy knoll” in Dallas. At that moment I knew we had been lied to. After that everything changed. That was years ago. I was grown, married with grown and married kids. So it took a while
1964 when I joined the military. My fear level has increased in 2008 and even more over the last few years. The world and our country is going to hell in a handbasket and I do not see anything short of civil and/or world war that will correct that.
For me it was reading the LA Times classified ads one day back in the early 2000’s when I was job searching and noticed a number of open positions were requiring the candidate to be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Proposition 187, which was supposed to stop giving CA state benefits to illegal aliens, passed overwhelmingly back in 1994, but was rejected by a federal judge the following year. When I read those classified ads it finally dawned on me that California was beginning to be overrun with illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America. It has only gotten worse plus we also have to deal with the growing numbers of homeless people in this state too. California is sinking fast but it seems too few people out here have any idea or even care about it!
When GW Bush started the humongous, unconstitutional, Department of Homeland Security and the DNI and all the associated entities that took our precious freedoms away. That my friends is what started it all. John Roberts the most corrupt Chief Justice by far.

Thanks again to Sundance for this chance to input to this treehouse community—and discover that we are not alone in our thinking.
When I was in college and we were all dutifully taken down note of everything our professor said. He stopped and yelled at us: Always question.You idiots believe everything you are told. Stop always question. Everything I have just told you is a lie. That is when I learned to fight back.
In the early 1980s I got involved with a NY statewide taxpayers group.
We had members from every county and we were not political. Today you would call us ultra MAGA.
In working with these wonderful people, my eyes were opened to the insane government corruption in NY, even back then.
The leader of the group was a legal and Constitutional scholar who successfully sued NY state several times.
Eventually our efforts became unsustainable- we couldn’t afford to fight the NY Deep State.
Fast forward to 2023 and we now have hundreds of groups fighting the good fight. Not a day goes by that I don’t do something for the cause of Liberty and Freedom, even if it’s just in my town or county.
Never give up. Write a letter to the editor or post something on local social media to irk the Libs.
It all helps.
I was born in 1960 but didn’t start paying attention to politics until the Reagan years. For most of my adulthood I was very naïve about politics-Republicans were patriotic conservatives and Democrats were liberal America haters. GOP good, Dems bad.
Two events, happening simultaneously, made me grow up and open my eyes to the truth. Donald Trump ran for President and I discovered CTH/Sundance. That was my true political awakening. I learn more and more every day about the reality of our politics and I am better for it.
Interestingly, my maturing political IQ has coincided with my deepening/maturing faith in Jesus Christ. I don’t think that’s a coincidence. No matter what happens to us as Americans I know that my salvation and protection is assured in Christ. I am truly blessed.
for me i had just started listening to rush after the second time we went to iraq…
Sometime in 2017 to 2018 as the investigations of Trump began to pile up but no legal charges were filed, I found CTH and noticed that Sundance refuted all the allegations and did so with cited documents which were available to the Media, but were ignored. CTH pulled back the curtain to show anyone who would see just how nefarious our Justice Department had become and how wickedly evil the Democrats and Media were in their desperation to oust Trump.
When the “Pandemic” struck, I saw these same evil actors pushing the panic porn and vaccine hysteria. I knew not to trust the same people who had told me for4 years that Trump was a Russian agent. The CTH story that highlighted Fauci’s email love letter to Hillary Clinton was all I needed to know that he was not to be trusted.
Always a conservative but when the media tried to say that Hispanic George Zimmerman was White and killed Trayvon Martin in cold blood instead of self defense is when I woke up and realized that things weren’t right. All the media and government lied about the case and nothing happened to them. And it continues with George Floyd, covid, January 6th etc.
Definitely, an absolute epiphany.
I started paying attention during the Clinton administration. Noticed the failure of equal justice and the corruption within the justice system. Next came the destruction of Trent Lott and ever since it has been downhill. When the black community organizer won the presidency I decided we were screwed!
Benghazi
It was a progression. I read Gary Allen’s “Say NO to the New World Order” in the mid to late 80’s. How most politicians on both sides were members of the CFR (council of foreign relations). I always wondered why and how the Reagan revolution just disappeared. Why Bush Sr. didn’t fight back against Clinton. At the time I felt he lost on purpose. I guess I was right. I started listening to Rush. Things just didn’t make any sense.
Lived my life. Always voted republican, but things never got better. Countless times people like McCain, Bush, McConnell, Collins and on and on…. would let us down. Its like they would take turns letting us down. Still watched Hannity and Fox. Things just didn’t make sense.
The 2018 election here in Michigan. Whitmer, Nessel, and Benson all got in. I said how could that happen. It was the first year michigan used the Dominion voting systems. Maybe a dry run. Things just didn’t make sense.
Started reading the Q posts in the spring of 2018. Many of the posts were questions. Started researching things like the deep state, pizza gate, hollywood, human trafficking, voter fraud and on and 0n. Then things started to make sense.
Then 2020, the scamdemic, the destruction of our medical system, the clot shot, masks, and more voter fraud. Gave up Fox and Hannity. Got tired of chasing my tail. Like Pogo said “We have met the enemy and he is us”. I realized corruption and treason were rampant. I realized that there was nobody in the system anymore to arrest the bad guys. Everything is fake. Things make sense now.
2022 to the present is more of the same. Government is mostly illegitimate and out of control worldwide. Everything is local. Make up your mind to say NO and resist. Trust nobody. Back in the 60’s people were told to question everything. I thought you had to wait until you were in your 60’s. Now I question everything.
The 2018 election was the worst thing that could have happened to us here in Michigan. I didn’t realize it was the first year Dominion was used here. I was a reporter for our local newspaper in Grayling when machines were first demonstrated at the county courthouse. Every township clerk, the city clerk and our county clerk were star-struck by them, but I knew they could be compromised and soon looked for information online and discovered the Princeton University demonstration on YouTube that proved I was correct to be suspicious of them. Get rid of the machines. The punch cards worked fine. An interview with the election administrator in our county found there had never been a problem with the punch card system, which led me to fully understand that the “Help America Vote Act” that sent our tax dollars all over the country for the purchase of the machines was just another abuse of our money to pad the pockets of a few and rig elections for the establishment.
When National Review dumped Mark Steyn for making a reference to an old gay joke by Dean Martin. Followed by NR’s gay issue, Kevin Williamson’s “ape” remarks about Trump and his constituents, then their “Against Trump” issue. All while people like Krauthammer and Will jumped on us with both feet in the name of conservatism.
I like pro wrestling, always have. But it was that period around the beginning of 2016 when the scales fell from my eyes and I came to hate that the entire world had become pro wrestling, with both parties in cahoots. And that hurt. I could accept ineptitude and traditional norms of kleptocracy in government, but this was very different.
Oh yeah, BTW I’m 76 years old
