Everything about this statement from Project Veritas is an exhibition in trying to cover their ass.
Two weeks later…. they release a statement, essentially saying there was never an issue between the board of directors, employees of Project Veritas and James O’Keefe. If there never was an issue, why wait for two weeks to deny it? Yeah, the problems start with the central falsity and go downhill from there.
Obviously, Project Veritas realized the scale of the backlash against them, and they are now trying to backtrack.
Without James O’Keefe there is no Project Veritas. It looks like the team at the organization realized this truth.
The part about not having any political preferences with a candidate running for office is particularly interesting and false, considering the signatories of the statement.

This outcome reminds me 100% of the construct around Ron DeSantis.
When everything is fabricated, it gets harder and harder to keep up pretenses. Eventually inherent hypocrisies lead to people seeing through it all. Once the public see through it, the fabricated system starts to collapse. Once things start to collapse, the people pushing the fraud start retreating because it’s a race to the exits in order to retain their grift and income. Everyone involved in the originating fabrication then starts to deny involvement.
Matthew Tyrmand thought he could take down James O’Keefe. He failed. Now everyone associated with the effort starts denying they were involved.
This is hardly the age of dissent.
The collectivist anathema for dissent has percolated down, absurdly, to protest groups and polemicists like Project Veritas.
But if dissent is mostly bad, where is the justification for democracy?
From dispute comes compromise and Hegelian progress.
From throttling dissent comes our current descent into fascism.
The dissent to fascism is steeped in the piles and piles of money now buying political AND judicial outcomes.

No intellectual here, but every time somebody calls out country a “democracy” it is either a misunderstanding of our Constitutional Republic or a mockery of such. Popped over to Twitter to see what reactions Project Veritas is getting on their thread to the board’s statement. A few are replying that they’re happy all is resolved and thank them for clarifying (huh?). But 80% or more strongly call b.s. on the board’s recent statement.
Tyrmand and the gang must be worried that their Bart Simpson defense didn’t work.
Jack Posobiec tweeted that 25 O’Keefe supporters wrote a letter to the board to bring back O’Keefe.
ViveFrei (for those that follow this great Canadian podcaster) — replied to Posobiec saying it is too late. No way to recover trust in Project Veritas.
Another responder said one of two things must happen –either the entire board and all the untrustworthy staff must be fired OR a better option might be for O’Keefe to form a new company as an LLC (no board) and the public will have to do without tax deductions for donations. (I vote for the latter. As long as there is a board, O’Keefe won’t have full control.)

They are saying O’Keefe has been on a massive ego trip, and began to be very loose with [donors’] money. Basically he misappropriated or stole tons of money from the company. The board has fiduciary responsibilities and could face criminal activity too if they didn’t rein him in.

I’ve read that the majority of employees are loyal and one woman said that she was misrepresented.
The Board was infiltrated and the goal is to CANCEL James O’Keefe and nothing they say can convince me otherwise. If snowflake employees don’t like his manner let them go find another job.
