As I’m watching President Trump doing the familiar targeting of the GOPe roadmap, in this instance hitting the Club for Growth (CfG), my spidey senses are telling me their modified 2024 path will involve increased emphasis on the Republican Governors Association (RGA).
In the 2020 midterms, the RGA headed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey was positioning: specifically positioning Ron DeSantis. If the modified establishment roadmap rolls out as it looks right now, I suspect the RGA will play a key role in it.
President Trump hit back against the always insufferable Club for Growth yesterday. The CfG, together with the Business Roundtable and U.S. Chamber of Commerce, are the political nexus for all things multinational, Wall Street and globalist. Republican candidates endorsed by either of these assembled corporate advocacy groups can always be counted on to sell-out the American worker. This is the insider club activity within the larger Republican network, all aligned with Mitch McConnell and the DeceptiCon crew.
Whenever you see President Trump hit the power dynamic, he generally hits the shadow network, the true motive for the attack, that aligns with it. In this case CfG has a long history of paid support for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
It is true that Club for Growth represents the “globalist,” which is to say, ‘America Last’, perspective. DeSantis’ long political alignment with CfG includes his support for Fast Track Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). The tool for the Transpacific Partnership trade deal (TPP) is a part of his legislative record that Ron DeSantis cannot avoid.
However, beyond the corporate alignment, Wall Street banks and hedge fund billionaires, the people managing RdS are trying to avoid confrontation with President Trump on the key issues. Corporatism and Ukraine are the two biggest Achilles heels of the Florida governor.
The RdS managers have so far kept their principal from the foray preferring to let their recruited surrogates and conservative ‘influencers’ do the wagon-circling on behalf of DeSantis. This looks to have been a key part of the strategy within the RdS-centric roadmap and explains why Christina Pushaw began those recruitment efforts in December 2021, culminating in the first meeting on January 6, 2022.
The second prong of the establishment approach to 2024 (DeSantis), that looks slightly different from 2016 (Jeb!, is the focus on South Carolina as a fulcrum primary race. As a result, we are seeing South Carolina Nikki Haley and South Carolina Tim Scott now positioning to enter the contest. Scott will be heading to Iowa later in February [LINK].
President Trump is doing something familiar by hitting DeSantis as the Club for Growth becomes confrontational. It’s one of the key differences between President Trump as a politician and all others. Trump remains focused on the non-pretending true beneficiary of the overall roadmap. Trump did the same thing with Jeb! in 2016.
In addition to Tim Scott and Nikki Haley, it is likely we will see Mike Pompeo, Chris Sununu, Mike Pence and Larry Hogan enter the 2024 contest for the GOP nomination. However, each of them will simply be forming a common line of attack against Godzilla Trump, permitting Ron DeSantis extra time before he needs to stop pretending and actually announce his intent.
If the roadmap holds up, DeSantis will be the last one to enter.
This is where the RGA looks to have been recruited for a larger role in 2024 than was deployed in 2016. Keep an eye on Republican governors and how they position their advocacy and endorsements.
While the online social media Pushaw group will be trying to attack MAGA voices and create the illusion of overwhelming support for the principal, DeSantis, the mainstream RGA voices will talk high-brow about the need for change and a brand of strategic politics they will claim only Ron DeSantis can provide. This forms the multiple fronts against the MAGA coalition that we will face later this year.
Trump’s strength in this contest is that he doesn’t need to pretend. The DeSantis weakness in this contest is that he must pretend he is not running as long as possible. Thus, in that very specific dynamic you will find the source motive for Pushaw’s early efforts with the “influencers”. However, on national economic matters as well as Ukraine corruption issues, you will note a comprehensive silence from RdS directly.
President Trump is exceptional at using the literal truth as a weapon against all of the shadowy aligned elements. Fox News, Paul Ryan, Karl Rove, CfG, the Murdoch clan, as well as the larger multinational billionaires and globalists are following a very transparent program, if you know what to look for.
Enhancing this strategy is where the RGA will come into play. All of them took a strategic loss when Harmeet Dhillon did not win the RNC chair position, which was particularly noteworthy due to the RdS endorsement. Once DeSantis enters the race, it will be six or seven against one, with each of the individual participants aligning to drop out in sequence and endorse the principal.
Keep watching… and keep all of the above in mind as you review this discussion about the GOPe dynamic.

There are many who care and many who are acting. True the vote w/ Katherine Englebrecht & Gregg Phillips, Seth Keshel, Mike Lindell, Jay Valentine, Matt DePerno and many other good patriots. They need our support. There are ways now to monitor voter rolls in real time which if used effectively will reduce the number of potential illegal ballots for harvest. There are counties outlawing voting machines. Another positive is most Americans now believe their is significant fraud in our elections to the point of changing the results. Every little bit helps feed the momentum. The challenge is getting states, especially swing states/counties such as PA, WI, MI, AZ, NV & GA to change their laws to further restrict vote by mail, early voting and dumping machine voting.
I do agree the fraudsters will keep cheating until there is enforcement of existing election laws and accountability. We’ll see what happens in AZ this week. There is solid evidence of significant voter disenfranchisment and ignoring of established election laws at a level that likely resulted in a stolen election. A win there would be big. The courts will decide. If they dismiss the claims they will be saying that it is ok to blatantly ignore existing state election laws. I suspect it will go to the AZ Supremes.
We should be reforming the elections on our own. Depending on a single person is as bad as depending on the government, and the government shouldn’t have that much authority over us. At this point, the article and the campaign is about the primaries. For some reason, there are lots of comments about the general election.

He stated and I’m going to paraphrase……’.Lyndsey Graham is a friend who I respect, we don’t agree on everything, we have our differences, but he is a very good politician’………..and that sent a message to me that Donald Trump had struck a deal with Lyndsey. Then Lyndsey, in his speech, stated (and I paraphrase) ‘ To those who believe in Trump policies but not Donald Trump, well, here’s the message: You won’t get Trump policies WITHOUT Trump..’
AND there is a very strong bond between Gov McMasters and Trump…that is rather remarkable.

It would be foolish and naive to think DeSantis would just take Trump’s negative comments, stand down and not hit back. He most definitely will return the blows.
I don’t view a Trump / DeSantis confrontation as fun or entertainment. It will divide the base and most certainly hand the WH to Biden, once again. Neither Trump or DeSantis should go down this destructive pathway. God help us.

She voted twice for President Trump and now feels he should step aside and let DeSantis run so as to not divide the party. I told her DeSantis is dividing the party not President Trump. President Trump recieved more votes than any other incumbent before him which makes him the Leader of the Republican Party.

One more note: If currently active grand juries in Georgia, New York, and by the DOJ indict Trump, as many are speculating/predicting, before or during the primaries, I don’t see how he can remain in the race. He will need to allocate much of his disposable money to his defense. That is the reason why the Democrats investigate and sue him regularly. They want to taint him, tie him up in court and bankrupt him if they can.

DeSantis is waiting for PDJT to be indicted or as you said tied up in courts and tainted. He is also holding off on announcing to evaluate how PDJT’s popularity is after the other GOP hopefuls hit PDJT with their slings and arrows.

This article is all well and good, but in my opinion the 2024 election, as things now stand, the Republicans stand little chance of winning in 2024 no matter who is their candidate. A piece written by Jay Valentine for the American Thinker “Tracking a Fraudulent Ballot in Real Time” lays out the monumental problem facing any Republican seeking election in 2024. Unless the Republican party focuses on the Phantom Vote problem an puts a real time strategy in place to neutralize this scam by the Left, Republicans simply cannot win.

Unless Trump is under indictment, the early emphasis on South Carolina will prove an enormous mistake for the GOPe. The governor is indebted to Trump, who in any event will knock Scott and Haley out in the same way that he KO’ed Rubio in Florida in 2016. Iowa is the bigger threat, and RDS might well win it if he were a declared candidate because Ernst and company really, really want Trump gone. If Trump sweeps IA, NH (Sununu) and SC (Scott, Haley), the race will be over, and De Santis will never enter.
Only indictment, or procedural shenanigans can deny Trump, hence my question above about rules changes at the RNC meeting.

Iowa uses the caucus system versus primary for the Presidential primary. In Iowa there is still majority support from the base for President Trump. The base is what turns out for the caucuses.
That and the fact is Ernst is not well liked in Iowa. If there were any credible challengers to her next senate election she would lose. She is vulnerable based on her aligning with Mitch and her past vote on the Dis-Respect for Marriage Act. Biggest problem is finding someone willing to run. We have a shortage of MAGA candidates, no shortage of MAGA voters in Iowa.
Governor Reynolds will support Trump in my opinion. She’s probably thinking she may have a shot at Trump’s VP slot.
I agree we need to see the changes GOP central committee makes for the 2024 Primaries. That will be a big ‘tell’ on what avenues they will try to use to stop President Trump from getting the nomination.

Exactly. DeSantis is the only person who could threaten Trump, who will eat the others alive. Momentum is the heart and soul of primary politics, so early wins by DJT in IA, NH and SC will effectively end the race. He is vulnerable only in IA, but only if DeSantis enters early. Iowa is retail politics at its purest. To compete there, you have to show up in person, and be there pounding the flesh over and over again. TV advertising blitz’s won’t get it done, and showing up at the eleventh hour would be akin to political suicide.
DeSantis is caught between a rock and a hard place. If he enters early, the GOPe splitter strategy will hurt him far more than Trump. If he enters late, he will not be competitive in Iowa, and a loss there will puncture his balloon for good.

Keep in mind that Trump did not win IA in ’16 because he relied on rallies. I saw him in Dubuque. Flew in, held the rally in a hangar, flew out. This is super Tuesday campaigning, and it will not get it done in Iowa or New Hampshire. You have to show up and press the flesh down at the county level in IA, and the local level in NH. This is why longshots like Santorum so often win these events.

Why did President Trump support McDaniel or did NOT support Dhillon? Dhillon would not have been worse and may have been better. I understand your point that Dhillon is closely connected to the Establishment. Nevertheless, McDaniel did fail and, in particular, in 2022 when the political atmosphere was very, very favorable to Republicans in an off year election in the opposition party’s first term.

One minor correction: The RGA was actually headed by two co-chairs during the midterms. Doug Ducey was one of them, the other was Pete Ricketts.

I just wish there didn’t have to be so much animosity between Trump and DeSantis supporters. Most REP voters are not informed about the animosity and therefore think highly of both men. It seems self-defeating to trash either of these men’s reputations. Having said this, I will support Trump because I think he has proven his leadership skills with good policy and good outcomes. I also voted for DeSantis because I think he, too, has been a good governor for the state of FL and I hope he stays governor for the next four years to cement FL as a deep red state.

What I think you need to know about the Murdoch’s. It would seem logical based on the following that the Republican Governors Association is being supported in the belief they will make money from it.
