Arizona Judge Peter Thompson has ruled that Mrs. Kari Lake must pay witness costs associated with her civil election lawsuit against Maricopa County officials. However, the judge denied hundreds-of-thousands in defense lawyer fees for Marc Elias and did not issue financial sanctions against Lake.
PHOENIX — A judge has ordered Kari Lake, the Republican who lost the Arizona governor’s race, to pay $33,000 in fees for witnesses who helped defend election officials against Lake’s failed challenge of her defeat to Democrat Katie Hobbs, but rejected a request for hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees for the attorneys who defended the officials.
In an order Tuesday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson declined to impose sanctions against Lake and her lawyers, saying Lake’s failure to prove her case doesn’t “equate to a finding that her claims were, or were not, groundless and presented in bad faith.”
Thompson, who was appointed by former Republican Gov. Jan Brewer, pointed to a statistical analysis by a pollster who had testified on behalf of Lake. The witness, who conducts public-opinion polls and is not an election worker, claimed technical problems at polling places on Election Day had disenfranchised enough voters that it would have changed the outcome of the race in Lake’s favor. Mrs Lake appeared on the Steve Bannon Warroom podcast earlier today to talk about her intent to file an appeal to the decision. {Direct Rumble Link}

With the ruling against Lake, we can see that the judiciary is going to make election fraud, even on a mass and undeniable scale, a specific intent crime. That is you need smoking gun proof of criminal intent to proceed. So it will be nearly impossible to stop said fraud ever.
We are not going to vote our way out.
Nope, one more box left…
What box is that? Who calls them in
Judges on the whole, are very hesitant to overturn elections, for many reasons. It’s one of their few red lines. It’s up to us to not put them in that position, or be reliant on their decision.
She needs better lawyers!!
Sorry, I disagree.
Phil Godlewski has pointed out that there has been precious little that has been done nation-wide since the 2020 elections to clean-up our voting systems. Indeed, Dominion continues to be used & the fraudulent mail-in voting continues.
Our judicial system has exposed their own corruption by refusing to rule on these matters leaving us with only military intervention as THE way, THE ONLY WAY we have to put a stop to this nonsense mucho pronto!!
Sorry, but expecting the military to step in is wishful thinking. It’s up to We The People to remove these corrupt actors ourselves.
Not at all. Military has already been working in the background Just stay tuned, it will all play itself out sooner than later.
By the way, you may be interested in knowing that it was the MILITARY that approached Trump to run in 2016. Had Trump declined, the military was prepared to throw out the Obama regime.
The military is more involved than you know.
Not the leadership … except to hurt Trump.
If the military was involved it would of happened already. Just look at cowards like Miley who are in charge. Never going to happen.
Great! Let’s keep filing cases in a rigged justice system and then appeal them in the same rigged justice system.
Kari should’ve just declared herself the winner and put “Gov.-elect” in front of her name, and allowed truthful and patriotic Arizonans – especially those in government and law enforcement – to acknowledge her as the rightful winner, follow her lead, and protect her. That’s called “leading from the front.”
Instead, she’s playing the enemy’s game, by their rules, and asking for a permission slip from lying, cheating psychopaths.
The whole judicial system is corrupt and out of order. When written law can be ignored by a judge with no consequences the judicial system is no longer functioning and needs to be dismantled and replaced with a system that respects the law and the Constitution. The current system does neither.
I find the fact that proof of innocence is not a valid reason for appeal only procedural issues warrant new trials or appeals no justice at all.
The system is fine, it’s corrupt judges who need an appointment with Peppermint to resolve this issue.
Bottom line..WE’VE BEEN RIPPED OFF ONCE AGAIN.
I think the voters who were actually disenfranchised should file a class action suit against Maricopa County election officials. It’s been proven the officials knew for the last three elections that there were problems with the ballot printers and did not fix them.
I remember something about an Election Integrity Commission set up by the President a few years back. What was that about, and who was in charge of it? Surely that cleared up everything.
Wasn’t that the one that Judas Pence was chairing and supposedly got no cooperation. He then dissolved it.
I think this is outrageous! This judge says that election officials GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY to change the ballot size on ELECTION DAY (not just leaving them alone at the correct 20″ size) AND causing 55%-60% of the voting machines to clog, create chaos, and disenfranchise AZ voters was not an election changing problem and was not “willful”??? Not to mention the signature matching issue which was not allowed into the case or the time he allowed for both sides to prove their case.
No he’s not stupid – he is a coward and does not want to do his job and make a reasonable ruling. Our institutions are failing folks.
Go away Hobbs. Ugh. I guess Arizona is out of the future picture.
