The Florida governor grabs headlines by asking for a state grand jury to “hold the federal government and Big Pharma accountable.”
The ‘medical freedom‘ rollout yesterday included a simultaneously timed 2024 election primary poll showing DeSantis with the highest favorability rating.
As noted within the announcement, “Governor DeSantis has filed a petition to impanel a statewide grand jury to investigate crimes and wrongs in Florida related to the COVID-19 vaccines and further recommend enforcement methods.” Notably absent from the announcement was his own culpability promoting the same programs he now rails against. This hypocrisy is the calling card of political engineering.

We never had any of that here in York County. I know about doctor Jackson and watched all the senate testimonies with McCollough, Kory and Jackson. In this particular instance, I do not agree – do not agree at all – with Sundance’s analysis. I am not at all persuaded that DeSantis has any “Presidential aspirations,” whether or not other people would like to have them on his behalf.
Instead, I think that this Governor is now doing what 49 other Governors should also be doing right now, “if the 10th Amendment has any value or memory at all.” The laws of his state explicitly authorize The Governor to take this action, and he is now doing so.
The Governors of all 49 other States ought to right now be doing the very same thing, and with equal vigor. Each according to the laws (and, traditions) of their respective States.
Because – the 10th Amendment very plainly said that: “except for the specific powers that we have ‘enumerated’ here, it’s all up to you.”
What’s the formal name of this country? Oh yes: “The United States.”
I believe that Governor DeSantis’s actions ought to simply be regarded at face value, and not as some “Presidential gambit.”
Quite frankly, I think that DeSantis is in a far more powerful position, right where he is right now, than he could ever be anywhere else. He’s an example of what a State Governor should be. And, I think he recognizes the power that States were always intended to have: powers superior, not subordinate, to the Federal.
I would simply beg the Governors and Legislatures of the other 49 States “to realize, and embrace, their power and authority, too.” Our Constitution defined a de-centralized government structure.

No headway is being made on anything that matters in this State, sir. The same problems(and a few new ones) we’ve had for decades are now getting worse at an exponential rate.
Even with a somewhat weak Governor, Missouri was ahead of Florida. No state mandated lockdowns or vaccinations. We have Constitutional Carry, and no red flag laws. We also passed a new voting law this year. ID’s mandatory, no voting drop boxes, and can only vote absentee 2 weeks before the election with a strict set of rules to follow.
We have the same voting laws, and if you break them you go to prison for at least five years. We also never had mandated jabs and our lockdowns weren’t here where we live for very long and we never locked down at my house and no one did a darn thing about it.

I am taking a wait and see stance because I am still worried that Trump will somehow for some reason yet to be defined, will not be able to campaign and run. I do NOt trust the lawfare leftist cabal constantly working to get rid of him as a candidate and as a political force. They won’t stop. Ever. PTrump is a strong man a strong leader, but he is not Superman. He’s taken more blows than any human I know of and is still standing. It’s amazing to watch him, but it cannot go on forever. The man is human and no matter how strong, he does have limits both physically and mentally. How he’s done this battle for so long without breaking somewhere just boggles the mind and my admiration for his endurance is tremendous.
But, he cannot do it alone. The states may be our last hope of not going irreconcilable with our government. On a federal level the “march through the institutions” is all but complete. It is perhaps less complete on the State level. What DeSantis is doing should be done, and the states MAY have the power to do the very simple vaccinated versus unvaccinated all cause morbidity mortality studies necessary to prove vaccine harm. If DeSantis makes real headway here, and other states follow, this is huge in his favor.
Trump should be fully supporting what DeSantis is doing, and SHOULD have been calling for it.

If De Santis remains and governs Florida wisely for the full term then it may be time to consider the next move but being a good governor does not automatically mean someone will make a good president. I, too, support PDJT 100%, but he has two fatal political flaws; first, his thin-skinned ego is a huge handicap. And second, while Trump has impressive instincts, he lacks an ideological core.
PDJT loves this country and of that I have no doubt, but unlike Ronald Reagan, he does not have a ideological or philosophical core from which to draw from. He’s a businessman–a pragmatist. He has said nothing about running for President yet and it would be great if he said he will wait until his term as governor is up.
Other concerns are that he is a career politician. His pedigree, Yale grad, is more inline with the DC deep state uniparty players than the average American. The laws that he has passed, and is receiving applause for, are IMO weak. For all the kudos of election fraud clean-up he receives, Florida still uses the voting machines. The law that prohibits teaching sexual orientation in schools is only applicable to children in K-3 grade. From 4th grade on children can still be indoctrinated with sexual ideology, which IMO is inappropriate. It is the parents’ responsibility to teach such topics to their children.

I have no problem with this accurate analysis….am a Florida resident and remember well the events cited in the article; have zero ponies (but truth) in this race as I have never declared a political or personal (e.g., Trump, DeSantis) affiliation in my 50 years; and would now like to see this same level of critique applied to the EXACT problems with Trump–in office at the same time. Let me start by saying that I voted for President Trump and I expect to vote for him again, however I do not worship him and I do see that he has weaknesses.
For one I have been very disappointed in how he appears to be ineffectual in dealing with the deep state all through his term and now. Granted he has been under attack but he demonstrated that he has been unable to stop them. He appears to have poor choices in selecting allies who stab him in the back, handing over his authority to declassify to Barr was a huge mistake, and he just appears to be politically inept in dealing with the swamp creatures, they won.
He has done well in areas which require negotiations and has been imaginative in coming up with successful approaches regarding NAFTA, NATO, the Middle East.
My question is how will it be any different under another new term with Trump. Certainly we can’t continue to have them running all over him and getting away with it for 4 years again. He has shown any new plan for winning against them. Trump can’t win against the intel community alone. He needs to be able to assemble a loyal team and understand what tactics and strategies are needed to WIN against the deep state. Not just an election. We gave him the last election victory but now looking back he was never able to WIN.

Exactly. Other than Kristi Noem, every Republican governor locked their states down to some degree. All of them violated the first amendment by not allowing for the freedom of assembly. Locking down less might be better. But, it’s still tyranny. Kristi Noem is the only one with the credentials to claim that they didn’t lock their state down. The other 49 governors should be expelled at the ballot box.

I don’t have any problem with people “promoting” the injections in the beginning. The country was blind sided by the announcement of this “deadly” disease and panicked. Just about EVERYONE panicked. The media and scientists LIED to us. We have grown too in love with the medical field (kinda like we did with the military). Americans (including me and you and others) are too fast to accept what the media says…and face it…fear produces crazy reactions…not well thought responses. So ron could have honestly believed the vaxx was safe and would do what they said. Who the heck knew the depth of the corruption in our government. I believe Trump was deliberately misled. Both fauci and birx has stated much. I think pence even said that. Who knew pence was a judas? Come on, ron could have made a mistake. But he was no saint either. He had lockdowns…even the beaches. We should drudge it all up. desantis is owned by big corp. It is beginning to show. Trump needs to come and point out all the lies from fauci, et al. What happened after the 15 days to stop the virus…it was all too far gone. He was trapped like the rest of us. He did stop the lockdowns, made know alternative treatments, gave ideas about masks…he never mandated any covid issues. He only encouraged the vaxx. Hard to go against the medical and scientific mob. Americans love their doctors and meds….I think Trump also needs to meet with Ron Johnson, and all the doctors/scientists who are truth sayers. Some doctors were pushers of the vaxx, but are not now. So big deal. If there is a grand jury investigation into the issues, could be good. Trump is my candidate. Ron obviously can be bought. Playing hard play with a little spit on the pitch…

He may well have saved millions by fast forwarding the jab, which got the fear-frozen public to reopen the economy, and which were then discredited (along with every talking head who said you would not get Covid if you got the jab) by Omicron. That sequence of events ended the big psy op in major part. The Event 201 worldwide psy op was supposed to lock us down for years on end before Phrma would announce the “magic vaxx.” Instead. it was over and done in months in much if the country, and inside 2 years in the rest.
So I credit it saved lives, as a net measure, based on what we know at the moment.
