I have written and deleted a thousand words, repeatedly, in an effort to encapsulate what this moment means to me, and perhaps to others. However, when you boil the essence of the thing down to its important part, you are left with a question: Which American politician loves this country more than Donald John Trump?
The honest answer is ‘no one’.
There’s not a force of man or nature as strong in its devotion to a mission, as Donald Trump is to this nation. That’s the core, the heart, the genuine essence of the thing, that separates President Trump from all others. Within that love of country, is a strength of determination that is almost uncanny to witness; and from that love of country an authenticity emanates that is impossible to duplicate.
Donald J Trump is, quite simply, unapologetically American – and tens of millions just love him for it.
Tonight, with his family by his side, President Donald Trump announced his intention to seek the GOP nomination in 2024 and run for President of the United States.

Yes, I don’t give a flying flip what any detractor of this nation might try to say, Donald Trump is exactly what we need.
Many people are exhausted from the battle to save this republic. Many people are frustrated and despondent from the scale of the effort it takes to push back against the metastatic corruption that has infected our entire body politic. Even more people are sick and tired of having to constantly look behind the duplicitous motives and conniving schemes of the professional political class who falsely claim to represent our interests. For all of those people Trump kneels and says, ‘get on my back and rest for a moment’.
We don’t have to question his intentions; we do not have to doubt his motives; we do not have to worry about his goal with the America-First agenda. We know when Trump succeeds, our lives and the lives of our family improves. Period.
Now, contrast that feeling of deep assurance and Main Street economic stability against the reality of a current, conniving, self-interested Wall Street political class as the reference, and ask yourself what is that feeling of assurance worth? It’s priceless.
You see, back in 2015 when Donald Trump first announced his intention to run for the presidency the following year, the assembly on these pages had spent years fighting against the corrupt republican political establishment while most just strolled by oblivious to it. We assembled as The Last Refuge, and we immediately spotted the possibility Donald J Trump represented.
One of the first 2015 responses about Trump I shared to a friend who didn’t follow politics closely but was essentially and ally in outlook, was that Donald Trump could show up to the first GOP debate in 5″ heels and a Carmen Miranda hat and start dancing on Jeb Bush’s podium, and Trump would earn my vote.
I felt that way because I could see the cancerous rot that was destroying the working class and simultaneously infecting the Republican party.
Severe measures would be needed to counteract this Machiavellian political construct in DC that was only getting worse. We needed a major disruption and Donald Trump was ideal for that role.
As I look at the 2024 landscape, what I see different is what I see better. Just about everyone now sees the level of corruption that exists in the apparatus of government, thanks to President Trump’s first term in office.
Additionally, President Trump purged the conniving DeceptiCons, the duplicitous Republicans who existed to maintain the UniParty, by forcing the GOPe liars to expose themselves in his opposition. No longer is a conversation needed to convince people that most politicians are part of one DC UniParty apparatus. Two wings of the same corrupt vulture feeding on the carcass of our republic. Everyone can see that now, thanks to Donald Trump.
Despite their refusal to accept reality, the Bush, Cheney, McConnell, McCain, Romney Republican Party is gone. Donald Trump destroyed it. The Republican Party will never again be the Bush-Romney Republican Party. Donald Trump opened the door, and the working-class has moved in to take control. The Republican party is not going back to the Bush/Romney outlook, regardless of how much Mitch McConnell tries to scheme its return.
We need a Big Ugly wrecking ball to unseat the corrupt power structures that Trump alone made visible. There is no other person in this era of our nation’s history with the capacity to do that. Only Donald J Trump has the energy and fortitude to carry out this fight.
President Trump is the people’s response to The Great Reset by saying, “like hell you will.”
I would not miss this opportunity for anything.

There is a story told throughout the U. S. Marines about the Chosin Reservoir in Korea and a Marine Corps Colonel Chesty Puller.
The Marines were outnumbered and struggling with the intense cold and lack of supplies.
When asked by headquarters to provide a situational report, Colonel Puller replied; “The enemy is on our right and on our left. They are in front of us and to our rear. They can’t get away this time.”
Attitude is the biggest part in the coming fight.

My father was a member of the Chosin Few. He was put in for the Navy Cross and Puller himself denied it. My fathers commanding officer went toe to toe with Puller arguing that if he didn’t have decency to reward his men for their commitment to him, the least he could do was offer a full retirement.
I have three Purple Hearts and a Silver Star that were awarded to my father. I loved , respected, and will honor him till the day I die. He was the hero I measure all others against.
As much as it pains me to say this, it’s a blessing he is gone now. This is just too much. I apologize for being off topic…..The mention of Puller always brings up emotions for me.

My friend and I became election judges for the last election and will be so again in 2024. I’m joining a group looking to clean up the voter roles precinct by precinct like what worked to short circuit the Dem’s efforts in Wisconsin.
These things will only add up to a few hours a week over the next two years, but will make a real difference in reducing the Dem’s ability to cheat in my area.

Love DJT also but how does he win without AZ and Pennsylvania just for starters. Republicans need to go for ballots as well as Democrats. We will end up with 600 million ballots out of a country of 300 million.
NO more ballot harvesting. It must stop, otherwise, all future elections will by tainted. Look at the Hew Hampshire race for Maggie Hassen. Their was a small communituy of about 907 people, yet they turned out 0ver 1,000 votes. This happened many times in the 2020 race in Michigan and Pennsylvania. You cannot have more votes than eleigible voters, PERIOD.
If people do some digging, maybe the lightbulb will finally come on.
OR we jump in and do all the legal ballot harvesting we can. That is another way to go and there is nothing to stop us.

As I understand it, most of these state election changes were never passed by state legislatures, but rather by executive orders, making none of it legal.

My wish is that DJT tones down his theatrics a couple of notches. I am behind him and believe he was the best POTUS since Reagan, but he needs to appeal to a wider range of the populace and that starts, I believe, with being more factual than facetious. Do what the Dems do; tell people what they want to hear and then do almost the polar opposite once in office. It will be difficult based on his history, but it is doable.
Trump said last night, wait till the next two years. You think its bad now, you have not seen anything. 71% of the country thinks we are going in the wrong direction. In 2024 it will be 85%, only the hard core progressives will be on board with the ruin. Trump will get over 100 million votes. He might even get 125 million.
That comment was my key takeaway.

I became a Trump supporter, not because of his tweets but because of one press conference.
There was a group of former generals that were casting their support behind Trump. The press wouldn’t cover it. Trump called a press conference to talk about Obama’s birth certificate. For the majority of the press conference Trump had the generals come out and speak, at the very end of the conference Trump spoke about the birth certificate “Yeah, I believe it’s real”.
His canniness played the press, he ended the birther attacks and allowed his generals to get some press time. He kicked the lefty presses ass that day and earned my support.

The reason Trump beat Hillary in 2016, he exceeded the expected algorithm getting 60+ million votes. They expwcted him to get 40+ million. In 2020, he got over 75 million votes, but they (uniparty), had a contingency plan of paper votes showing up to be counted for weeks after election night to make up the differences.
It is not a coincidence the 5 main swing states all stopped counting votes at the same time on election night in 2020. They all stopped counting when the state of Florida was called for Trump around 11pm.

Since the Civil War, political offices in McMinn County had gone to the Republicans, but in the 1930s Tennessee began to fall under the control of Democratic bosses. To the west, in Shelby County, E.H. Crump, the Memphis mayor who had been ousted during his term for failing to enforce Prohibition, fathered what would become the state’s most powerful political machine.
Crump eventually controlled most of Tennessee along with the governor’s office and a United States senator. In eastern Tennessee local and regional machines developed, which, lacking the sophistication and power of a Crump, relied on intimidation and violence to control their constituents.
At last the veterans chose to use the most basic right of the democracy for which they had gone to war: the right to vote. In the early months of 1946 they decided in secret meetings to field a slate of their own candidates for the August elections. In May they formed a nonpartisan political party.
August 1, 1946: Election Day found voters lined up early in the largest turnout in local history. Joining them were some three hundred of Sheriff Mansfield’s special deputies. Trouble began early. At 9:30 A.M. Walter Ellis, a legally appointed GI representative at the first precinct in the courthouse, was arrested and jailed for protesting irregularities.
Bill White, who had fought in the Pacific while still in his teens and come home an ex-sergeant, had gotten angrier as the day wore on. At two in the afternoon he had harangued the group of veterans in the Essankay, saying:
“You call yourselves GIs—you go over there and fight for three and four years—you come back and you let a bunch of draft dodgers who stayed here where it was safe, and you were making it safe for them, push you around. … If you people don’t stop this, and NOW IS THE TIME AND PLACE, you people wouldn’t make a pimple on a fighting GI’s ass. Go and get the guns…”
In the early evening White went to get the guns himself. He sent two GIs to get a truck and, with a few other veterans, perhaps a dozen, he headed for the National Guard armory. There, he said in a 1969 interview, he “broke down the armory doors and took all the rifles, two Thompson sub-machine guns, and all the ammunition we could carry, loaded it up in the two-ton truck and went back to GI headquarters and passed out seventy high-powered rifles and two bandoleers of ammunition with each one.”
By 9:00 P.M. Paul Cantrell, Pat Mansfield, State Rep. George Woods, who was also a member of the election commission, and about fifty deputies were locked inside the jail and going through the ballot boxes. The presence of Mansfield and Woods meant that a majority of the election commission was on hand, so the tallies could be CERTIFIED AND VALIDATED ON THE SPOT. More deputies were still barricaded in the courthouse, but along the streets none were to be seen. If the Cantrell forces had been a bit more wary, they might have spotted some shadows slipping up the embankment directly across the street from the jail.
Moments later the night exploded in automatic weapons fire punctuated by shotgun blasts. “I fired the first shot,” White claimed, “then everybody started shooting from our side.” A deputy ran for the jail. “I shot him; he wheeled and fell inside of the jail.” Bullets ricocheted up and down White Street. “I shot a second man; his leg flew out from under him, and he crawled under a car.” The veterans bombarded the jail for hours, but Cantrell and his accomplices, secure behind the red-brick walls, refused to surrender.
At 2:48 A.M. the first dynamite was tossed toward the jail; it landed under Boe Dunn’s cruiser, and the explosion flipped the vehicle over on its top, leaving its wheels spinning. Three more bundles of dynamite were thrown almost simultaneously; one landed on the jail porch roof, another under Mansfield’s car, and the third struck the jail wall. The explosions rattled windows throughout the town; leaves fell from the trees, debris scattered for blocks, and the jailhouse porch jumped off its foundation.
The deputies barricaded in the courthouse a block away rushed onto the balcony, eager to surrender. The jail’s defenders staggered from their ruined stronghold and handed the ballot boxes over to the veteran
On August 11, 1946, the five GIs elected to office in McMinn announced that they would return to the county all fees in excess of five thousand dollars. Elsewhere in Tennessee, E. H. Crump and his machine were finally on the way out, with the election of Gov. Gordon Browning and a young United States senator, Estes Kefauver.
That is the style but would not work nationwide. We need another plan….that is all I am saying.

I sat in front of my computer screen and pumped my fists in the air and then I cried. I had not cried in 50 years, but that night was different because I knew that the main evil was beat down for now and that this country had a chance. At that moment, I had no idea of the forces that were gathering to move against him. Now I’m wide awake with my head on a swivel and my situational awareness dial turned up all the way to max. President Trump has always been a fighter. As a business man he experience great highs and lows in his business. Bankruptcy didn’t stop him. Historically, before he got into politics, the media called him the comeback kid. He’d take the hit, then start rebuilding again. Now, not all people have that tenacity. During the oil boom of the 80’s I saw men who once were living high on the hog, lose everything and turn to drink. One friend’s husband lost it all, then sat in his home office and drank himself to death. The wife had no business experience. In order to pay the bills and keep the creditors away, she got her real estate license and starting selling real estate. Every single sale she thanked God for. There will be some like Sundance who will be like Trump and brush the dust off and push ahead. There will be others in the MAGA movement who will be like my friend’s husband. Maybe they won’t turn to drink, but they will disengage. The choice is ours. Either way the next decade will not be a cake walk. “It is what it is”. Whining, bitching, and cursing each other won’t change a thing. How you define yourself is up to you. We are facing a fork in the road. What ever you decide is your choice. True the Vote has a (new) initiative to partner with country sheriffs across the country, in order to educate them on election law and what they can/should do to help facilitate free and fair elections, support poll workers who have issues, investigate chain of custody issues (like late night print shop runs) etc. This grassroots effort needs our support, so if you are on terms with your county sheriff office, that might be one place to help coordinate if you are a poll worker. Introduce them to TTV and this new initiative.

Many of you Treepers have very short memories and forget the daily stories about how many Americans Trump had murdered by his various COVID decisions. The entire COVID pandemic was constructed for the sole purpose of destroying Trump. It didn’t. Because Trump navigated it as no leftist predicted. Trump outwitted and outplayed the leftist cabal.
He did not have to play into their hands by declaring a National emergency. That is what enabled the states to shut down. Otherwise they wouldn’t have had the funds to do so.
Trump’s flaw (and at same time, perhaps greatest virtue) is his inability to communicate in nuanced sentences. His explanation for his Covid choices would have to be carefully crafted and carefully delivered and I do not think he will ever do so.
Someone else should probably write and deliver that message for him. It is not that complicated: basically, he is a well-meaning, good-intentioned genius, but someone born in the 1940’s who harbors a certain respect for medical and health professionals that, as we have learned during Covid, is pretty much completely unwarranted.

There are people who are already saying they won’t vote for him for pushing the shots. I don’t think he ever really pushed very hard and he was definitely against mandates but in a world gone insane for something to protect them from what the media was telling them was akin to the Black Plague, with the upcoming election, and with the media blaming him for “all the deaths,” I think he had to at least point out that it was his administration than knocked down barriers to get us what they were telling him and us, which was a vaccine that was 95% effective against disease and safe. I can only imagine his frustration at having such an impressive record and a humming economy only to have it all overshadowed and wrecked by this pandemic.
The media was hailing the vaccine as the saving grace to get us out of the mess we were in and Joe Biden was poised to take credit for it as he stepped into office because they held out even telling us they were ready until after the election. President Trump wasn’t going to let them forget that it was his Operation Warp Speed that was responsible for getting them to market so quickly. Evidence is only beginning to trickle out now that these shots may be the cause behind the sudden adult deaths and excess deaths on the rise. No matter how much any of the “man on the street” or various doctors and researchers on youtube are convinced they are the cause until it can be proven that it is a fact and not just a correlation, any public leader can’t just go around making scientific claims. They can point out the correlation. They can fund “warp speed” research that will get to the bottom of it but to make definite claims and renounce the shot would be taking a risk of both further research not getting done because Pharma will try to bury it and also the media touting the claim about how dangerous he would be if elected for making scientific claims that has not yet been fully researched or proven. He has to walk a fine on this one as far as public messaging, IMHO.
