If you have not watched this video, you really should. Justin from Canada leaked the content of a private bilateral conversation with Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping to the media. Chairman Xi was not happy with the breach of diplomatic protocol.
What makes this video remarkable is the purposeful decision by Chairman Xi to confront Justin from Canada in front of a western audience. Xi never speaks directly in public and is always aware of cameras. The Chinese Chairman almost always goes through spokespeople to relay his public communication, reserving his voice for controlled and disciplined conversation with national leaders. However, not this time.

What angered Xi Jinping was that Trudeau first warned him privately to stop setting up illegal police stations in Canada, and told him to stop interfering in Canadian elections by funding the campaigns of candidates for the Canadian parliament. And then turned around and reported this to the Canadian press.
Trudeau also said China was playing “aggressive games” after Canadian broadcaster Global News reported on a “clandestine network” of federal election candidates funded by Beijing.
When confronted by Xi over going public, Trudeau should simply have publicly repeated his complaints. Instead, he blinked and wobbled away.

Xi dressed him down like he was a functionary. It was casual, yet, sharp rebuke. And the Canadian leader spouted off and hid behind platitudes. This showed Justin’s cowardice and the Chinese saw it. This shall embolden the Chinese leader. Plus, there is no way to vote in a strong leader in Canada because there is fraud in Canada, as well.
Consider this: The fraud is installing weak leaders and Xi is walking all over them. He will become increasingly vigorous in humiliating Western leaders. Other nations are watching. BRICS and those sitting on the fence. One can argue that there are powerful players in the background that can handle Xi and others like him. I counter that the people who are supposed to handle Xi and people like him are the leaders themselves; there is no getting around that. Powerful aides working in the shadow are no substitute for strong leaders in the limelight holding with firm resolution for their country.
We just saw a glimpse of the negative implication of all of this fraud and it absolutely bodes future disasters. There is no replacement for a strong, duly elected leader who enjoys the full support, approval, confidence, and, yes, affection of the electorate to stand strong for their national honor. You cannot replace that period.

Diplomats do not speak so directly with each other, especially in public. This was a public notification that China is displeased with Canada…and the Canadian leader backed down like a child and ran off.
