There’s no putting a positive spin on the horrible election results tonight. The Dems will probably keep the Senate and lose the House by only 12 seats. A real sh*tshow for the Republicans. The Uniparty is very happy. If Trump runs, 2024 will be exactly like 2020. Nothing has or will change.

There are huge batches of ballots still outstanding. The majority of the election day votes have not been posted yet. Same goes for the election day drop off ballots. We will win when it’s all counted up. People were still voting at 9 pm in Maricopa! Good night see you in the AM.

Jason Rantz said all votes are Mail in, in Washington state. He said the results in both N.W. states won’t be known until noon tomorrow.
The accusation that Republicans blew the election is an exaggeration IMO. There was too much misguided trust in the useless Polls. I did not like the “Red Wave” rhetoric. The polls elevated expectations beyond reason for this election even though their potential unreliability is known.
Wait until all results are final. If you win a baseball game by one run or by 20 runs, it’s still a win. If the GOP push Pelosi out as Speaker and take control of the House it is a big plus and all the Senate seats will not be final until tomorrow. Some critics are including Sen. Graham in their blame game due to his anti Abortion tour and Ukrainian war funding support. Then there’s the possibility of fraud of course in some states like Penn.
There will be a lot of finger pointing after this disappointing night but one person who I think shares a lot of blame is Rick Scott. It was Rick Scott who floated a plan to make massive cuts to social security and Medicare including raising the eligibility age for these safety-net programs.
Almost 70 million Americans depend upon social security and Medicare. Without these programs they would be living on the street or dead. Scott’s proposals were embraced by other GOP politicians including Ron Johnson who is having a tough night.
Why would the GOP think it was a smart idea to threaten these “entitlement” programs that Americans have paid into all their lives? These same politicians have no problem writing a blank check for Ukraine or spending trillions on other insane wars but when it comes to funding programs that 70 million Americans depend on for survival they are willing to wield a spending axe?
The main message from the DNC during the final laps before the elections was a republican congress would take away their Medicare and social security and they weren’t completely lying about that! Remember that the 70 million who depend on social security just received one of the biggest COLA increases in history alleviating a lot of concerns over inflation !
When Rick Scott floated these proposals a few months back he should have been condemned by the GOP leadership and colleagues but many probably liked the idea and thought that voters would not notice their proposed changes.
