The entire funeral day for Queen Elizabeth II was filled with incredible tribute and depth. One of the most unforgettable days in history. However, that said, perhaps the most moving moment was at St. Georges Chapel in Windsor Castle, when Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin was lowered into the Royal Vault, bringing to an end public mourning for Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.
The sounds and images of the lone bagpipe growing ever dimmer as the coffin was lowered was really memorable. Then came the inflection point of the final farewell and the blessing and prayer upon new King Charles III, and the singing of God Save the King. A very moving tribute reflecting the intensity of the day for the British people. WATCH:

I was totally struck by Queen Elizabeth’s witness to her savior and faith in Jesus Christ. Those various clergy repeatedly presented the Gospel and her personal faith in Christ to hundreds of heads of state and/or state representatives. It was astounding. I found myself praying that God and the Holy Spirit would work in their lives, that they would hear His message in their hearts, that their hearts would be open to hear.
The Queen’s final message was her greatest and given the in-person nation heads present and the millions watching/listening on line, she could possibly have had the greatest Gospel crusade of all times.
I knew she was a person of faith, but I had no idea until today how strong her faith was. Knowing that, it is no wonder God used her for His purpose for decades, culminating in her final testimony.
Well done good and faithful servant.
I can imagine the numbers hearing the Gospel go into the millions, given the replays 10s of millions in time.
SMOKES! The Daily Mail reports that 4 Billion watched the Queen’s funeral ceremonies.

That is a lot of hearers of the Gospel these last few days!
Maranatha!
I wonder how many will watch this?

Well said
It was incredibly strong, Maine Coon.
If you have a chance to search for her service at Westminster Cathedral, it would be worth the time. It was a testament to her faith.
But the most incredible part of it for us was the sermon given by Archbishop Justin Welby. It was measured and heartfelt and powerful, beautifully composed and delivered.
With so many unwelcome changes in the Anglican Church over the years, I was not expecting what I heard from him. We were extremely moved by it.
I watched the entire day, starting at 5:00 a.m. Repeatedly, her faith testimony, as presented in absentia, was presented by clergy over and over again. I liked the reference to Revelation. It is well worth listening to again.
I too was surprised by the strong, fundamental doctrine presented by the Anglican Church clergy. That’s why I am convinced she wrote every word and even chose (as best she could given hierarchy) who would present her faith testimony and the Gospel as it had to come from the heart, a strong believer – not just a pew sitters.
Well done, Queen Elizabeth and the clergy. Very moving for me.
As sorrowful as the day was, I found a great deal of hope in the services. An indescribable joy to look forward to, which she firmly believed she would experience.
So many times, she was encouraged by those who did not understand her faith to give up, retire, and turn over her increasingly physically onerous duties to Charles. There are those European monarchs who have done so.
But we knew she would not. When she swore her Coronation Oath, she demonstrated how deep her faith was. How fortunate Britain was. She’ll be desperately missed.
Thank you for the ‘extra’ Brit insights. It adds a lot. God called her to service for such a time as this, and, as such, who He calls, He equips, if they rely upon His power, as The Queen obviously did. Certainly, I couldn’t help but think that her faith testimony was for any children or family members not saved. That is a Christians’ biggest heartache, and family is the most difficult to talk to about one’s faith.
You’re most welcome, MaineCoon.
Her great-great grandmother was Victoria Regina who placed more emphasis on Christian morality and family values in her 63 year reign than on politics. I suspect Elizabeth was educated in and inspired by Victoria’s works.
Yes, and the 70 years of service is very very significant. The double rainbow over Buckingham Palace; the single rainbow over Windsor Castle; and the break in the clouds and a single ray of sunshine streaming down upon her coffin a few days ago – all of these are signs that God is using the Heavens, a global bulletin board, to send a message; His servant Elizabeth is now with HIM!!
And that can only happen through Jesus Christ. How fitting were the scriptures today from John 11:25 “Jesus said to her, I am (Myself) the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) Me, although he may die, yet he shall live;” AMPC version of the Holy Scriptures.
QEII’s sons, unfortunately, missed the point of religion.
One a cheater, the second a molester, the third a washout from the military.
Despite the length of QEII’s funeral events, it wasn’t as long as the McCain funeral follies.
Doesnt belong here. Entertain the spiders on your mom’s basement walls with this nonsense.
I expect QEII’s faith testimony was given first and foremost with them in mind.
2Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

With pleasure I look forward to listening to this. Thank you for posting it.
MaineCoon: A most inspiring comment. Much food for thought. And so true, what you write.
In her final moments, Queen Elizabeth II had a much greater impact on Christianity than the entire Vatican and Pope included. She puts them all to shame.
I missed the ceremony because I was working. But, because of you, I will watch it. Many times, I thank you.
You will be blessed.
I totally agree MaineCoon. This was just a beautiful Christian service commemorating the QEII who walked Jesus walk all of her life. And what a multitude of people who came to pay their respects, she bore amazing fruit thruout her time on earth. I didn’t know the significance of the orb. It represents the world with cross on top which the Queen has been the supreme being of Christendom thru out the world. I didn’t know that. Such a magnificent day to honor a. Much deserving monarch.
of
Amen.
Now the Queen has met the King of Kings. No one forced her to “bow her knee” to Him. She did that a long, long time ago.
Amen!
Hee, hee… many envy glands here.
The US has no chance of organising such a spectacle.
The inability of Americans to understand the British monarchical system is getting boring. Versus the present corrupt fraudulent US President who combines head of state with head of the govt….I’d say the monarchy is working pretty well.
True . I’ll take the monarchy over the corrupt ruling elites who don’t even pretend anymore to care about the people . And please send that Markle woman back to California post haste before she destroys the last remaining shred of dignity of the British .
I’m a deplorable but our side is losing the moral ground with our so called Republican conservatives in name only . PDJT is the closest we’ll get to the credibility we need as a serious nation , and they seem intent on destroying him .
It only feels.that way, and that is by design. The MSM wants you to feel alone and alienated from your Christian heritage. Resist.
Just a heads up…
Mariposa233,
This Mill sounds like a bot. It my be time to ignore.
Can be typical here….
Agree or troll……a binary world alright.
I agree. For me the Queen had more decency in her pinky nail than than the whole Washington DC Cabal government.
Mariposa233,
This Mill sounds like a bot. It my be time to ignore.
Their system has lasted for centuries. God bless the Queen for doing her best for her people. God help the King in living up to his mother’s example.
Huh? Our Country would never organize this type of funeral. Not in our form of government.
Americans do not need to understand the British monarchial government.
And the rest of your garble is just that.
Bot?
One of the US’s little problems that has led to disaster from Vietnam to Afghanistan is the self defeating arrogance
that Americans do not need to understand anything that isn’t American.
Oh dear.
Both services were beautiful. My side thoughts:
I want some of that architecture here. I’m happy their monuments weren’t destroyed in a bow to political correctness.
I spent way too much energy worrying about the 8 pallbearers. They have gurneys for that! I was so afraid one would trip ilor faint or whatever and the flowers, crown, orb and/or scepter would go flying off. I didn’t even want to contemplate something happening and the casket being dropped. Whew!
Cromwell actually destroyed most of the crown jewels.
But the crown which rested on her coffin lying in state in Westminster Hall was saved by women in Scotland who were harvesting kelp.
They took that crown and hid it in their gathering baskets, and walked straight by Cromwell’s soldiers who were looking for it.
Just a little bit of interesting history. Can you imagine how much we don’t know but would be fascinated to learn?
Wasn’t that the Clan Keith ladies? Earl Marischal of Scotland?
I believe it was.
We were concerned as well, Mari. Her coffin is lead lined. But they never put a foot wrong.
I don’t know if you knew that on the day she died, a double rain bow appeared in London which spanned the whole sky.
Likewise, yesterday, the day before the funeral, another one appeared just as expansive.
Make of that what you will.
I noticed in the last pictures as the coffin was lowered-there were nicely wrought “clips” on the top of the casket. Then looking at some of the pictures from previous ceremonies you could see where the orb and scepter were held in place. Ship shape and Bristol fashion!
I hope the pallbearers get extra leave to recover.
Herd that the coffin weighed about 300kgs (about 660 lbs)
The Queen’s coffin (which was made thirty years ago) is thought to weigh anywhere between 250kg and 317kg, due to it being made from oak with brass fittings and lead lining – which is used to slow decomposition. This means an additional two pallbearers are needed to carry it.
As for who those pallbearers are, the group is made up of eight 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, some of whom were flown back from their placement in Iraq to carry out the duty. The Grenadier Guard – whose company commander was the Queen – is the most senior, regular Army regiment and dates back to 1656.
Bruce, I have a photo I love which I keep on my phone.
It is a picture of the Queen rounding a corner to inspect her Grenadier Guards.
Unbeknownst to her, Philip had a Guards uniform, complete with bearskin, made to fit him. He was standing first in line, blending in perfectly. But ever beady eyed, she saw him straight away. And such was her amusement and surprise, she couldn’t help breaking into a broad grin, bordering on out and out laughter.
In order to preserve her royal demeanor she has ducked her head hoping that her face can’t be seen. Fortunately for those who have seen this photo, she didn’t manage it, and the resultant picture with Philip at full attention and no expression, and her so tickled at the practical joke is a real treasure for me.
They adored one another. On this most sorrowful day, I am glad they are reunited once again.
Dang, why would decomposition need to be slowed? It may just be I (asking the question), but it makes no sense, no?
The tradition of lead lining can be traced back to the Victorian era, when it was necessary to protect bodies in an airtight sealed coffin for the benefit of the deceased and the public when they are laid to rest above ground.
Most people are buried under ground. If you have a coffin vault or a family chamber in a church, then that coffin remains above ground and open to the elements. A sealed coffin is very important.
Lead-lined coffins aren’t only reserved for the Royal Family, Sir Winston Churchill was also buried in one.
Thank you, Bruce! Yes, I so completely understand. My question still stands. If lined in lead, why does decomposition matter?
Queen’s coffin: How it’s made, why it’s lead-lined, and how much it weighs
The reason behind the Queen’s lead-lined coffin is a little more grisly than you might imagine.
Mon, Sep 19, 2022
-snipped-
The Queen’s coffin is lined with lead, following a royal tradition, dating back to the Victorian era when it was necessary to seal bodies for resting above ground.
The lead helps to preserve the body for up to a year by slowing the decomposition process. The lining makes the coffin airtight, preventing moisture from entering and ensuring that the smell and toxins from the dead body will not escape and harm the environment.
This is important for royals who will be lying in state – as the Queen has done in Westminster Hall and St Giles’ Cathedral.

Yeah, I worried about them too, and all the people doing the long marches. I am so glad no one fell out.
I was surprised to see how close outside homes and industry type buildings were to Windsor.
Have listened and read a lot about this day. Recorded it for my wife … she’s a royal fan; me, not so much.
But allow me two observations. First, say what you want about Great Britain and the monarchy, but if you watched any of this today, you saw an entire nation with their identity on full display and I was damn impressed.
Second, I witnessed the very real grief of a son. I know that grief.
We know it as well, Gunner, as my husband lost his two sons. To feel it is to recognize it in others who have endured the same. I am sorry that you know.
I watched this live and I was struck by the very same things. The piper fading into the distance as the coffin slowly lowered into the floor. It was quite moving and you could see on Charles’ face that it finally became real for him that his mother was dead and that he was King. Glad I saw it.
An extraordinary monumental slice in time.
Lucky them!
Those guys were amazing.
Much Respect and Admiration for these Men .
They Never Wavered .
Yes, not lucky…duty, devotion and honor.
Absolutely Agree , WSB .
Tell Joe Biden the vault is really his basement and tell him to go on down!
May she rest in Peace.
The American representation was dowdy. Joe and Jill appropriately placed somewhere in the back and Meghan finally squeezing a tear. That’s pretty good for an actress; the life of pretend in a vain woman who hit celebrity versus a life of a dignified woman spent in her service, speech, dress and humility.
God saved the queen in Christ. May He save the family left behind.
For the most part all of the Brits and commonwealth heads were in the front, as it should be.
The Bidens showed up late. LATE!
They were told to stand to the side while veterans were ushered to their seats. Quite right.
I watched the unfortunate official at the door trying to make small talk with Biden.
I say trying….there stood Biden, his mouth hanging open.
All I could think of is how respectfully and elegantly the Trumps would have represented this country, as both Bidens looked as if they’d wandered in by mistake after taking a wrong turn on their way to the local pub.
And I’m only guessing but I suspect their seats would not have been in Row 14 in a part of the Cathedral which had no view of the service, which is where the ill dressed and mannerless Bidens were placed.
God works in mysterious ways. Traffic jam…at the right time.
I agree-President Trump would have been a wonderful representation.
Mysterious ways, some seemingly small with merciful outcomes.
Did you notice Biden fist bumped the archbishop with his left hand, while holding firmly to Jill’s hand with his right? So ignorant and rude!
Ugh. so that’s what that goofy bit was. The archbishop was taken aback.
I did not! It just gets worse and worse. Oh my giddy aunt!!
Tell me you are joking?
Did you catch the shot of biden with his hand near or in his mouth after they’d been seated?
It was embarrassing and the camera pulled away quickly. And didn’t return.
The Bidens were late because they insisted on taking an entourage through the crowded streets of London. The buses of dignitaries made it on time though and were seated where they were supposed to be. Like anyone else being late to a wedding, Joe and Jill had to wait until medal recipients filed in. If the bus was good enough for the Emperor and Empress of Japan (among many other heads of states), why should POTUS be treated any different? You know if President Trump had pulled this malarky, it would be front page news!
Last minute life sustaining IVs is my guess.
The bidens had a motorcade. The rest of the leaders took the bus.
So much for carbon footprints.
Joey is too much work for Jilly to handle on her own for long periods of time, and it increased the risk of bumbling, stuttering, muttering Joe being out of his element. He is just too unpredictable to be mingling w/other leaders.
I wonder what he was like at the State reception, wonder how long they stayed?
All of the ceremony for the past twelve days has been openly, fearlessly, and unapologetically grounded in the Queen’s deeply anchored Christian faith.
Took my breath away.
God bless the late HM Queen Elizabeth II. She planned much of the farewell herself, with no equivocation about the Sovereignty of Almighty God and Salvation through Him who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
May Charles III also find counsel, sustenance, succor, and wisdom through Faith in Jesus Christ Redeemer.
And amazingly no visible show of force with armed miitary crawling the streets and intimidating people. I guess the snipers and drones were there keeping an eye but with so many people sheez! Whatever you might say about multicultural Britian and the invasion of some elements they were ostensibly well behaved.
They had some armed military on the roadside going to Windsor, but the cameras didn’t focus on them.
This was very moving. Thank you for posting this
Very moving service, well done. However the production decision to NOT show the coffin going down all the way I found condescending and extremely irritating. The whole moment involved first divesting Her Majesty of the formal implements of her reign – the Orb (Church), the scepter (kindness) the Crown (State) and returning to the earth as a simple Christian soul. And then her coffin starts going down into the earth but SOMEONE DECIDED NOT TO SHOW THAT PART.
Spoiled the whole thing for me. But apart from that, very moving.
Neither was it shown at Philip’s funeral.
condescending and extremely irritating?
really?
Condescending because somebody made the decision that we the viewers shouldn’t see the climax or final moment of the entire ceremony and the past 11 days, namely the body disappearing from view for the last time. They just suddenly cut away halfway through its descent to focus on a bagpiper. Hearing the music from a distance and then fading away whilst we watched the coffin descend and then be covered over and there being nothing there at the end – which is what the family saw – would have been far better and because we would have seen the coffin descend and then be no more, we would have witnessed the natural end of what was a beautifully executed, and rather profound, process.
That said, the assembly in the further away parts of the chapel probably saw none of it, rather felt what was transpiring.
I was irritated because as I realized they weren’t going to let me/us see the final end of the ceremony I felt that the producers or someone had decided that I/we needed to be sheltered from the final view or something. It took me right out of the ceremony like in a bad movie when the writing or acting takes you out of the ‘willing suspension of disbelief’ so necessary – and delightful – when watching or reading fiction. This was not fiction rather the creation of the Royal Realm that is Great Britain (where I grew up btw), so it is fiction times two in a way. Anyway, I was irritated, not out of some sort of philosophy or principle, just viscerally. i.e. it just happened. You might not approve or understand – which is fine – but I was just reported my immediate and honest reaction to their leaving that final moment out.
Hope this helps. Here is a one minute clip that includes showing the lowering of the coffin. David Vines White, the garter king of arms is reading the final prayer as the coffin is lowered.
Sorry this is youtube. There are other videos on Rumble but I couldn’t find my way back to them.
THat’s the same feed. (I believe all stations were getting images from one feed in the chapel since they are all the same). It cuts away when the coffin is halfway down and then you see the piper. When it returns to the chapel the coffin is no longer visible.
Not trying to make a big deal. Just sharing in initial comment that their cutting away ruined the moment for me and since that is in the title of this article, I chipped in with my reaction.
You might have missed another part of the lowering. If you recheck the video, at the 24 second mark, just before they cut away to the piper, you will find they return to a view of the Queen’s coffin at the point where the top of the coffin is just arriving level with the floor.
Why did they choose not to show all of the lowering? Queen Elizabeth was very involved in the planning of her funeral so I would think she may have had a say in the choice to not fixate entirely on the coffin’s movement, but to move to the prayer being read and to the piper and back again. I believe in my heart that she saw the funeral as a way to bond and uplift her people and not to have the final focus be on her the coffin, but on the prayer and the piper’s music.
Prince Philip’s funeral was the first time the public saw a royal coffin lowered into the royal vault. At the time it was considered unprecendented and I think they showed very little of it, although I confess I did not see Prince Philip’s funeral other than the heart-wrenching views of the Queen sitting alone –in the same seat King Charles sat in at St George’s Chapel.
No cameras were present later Monday evening when at 7pm when King Charles and a very few family members (I think it was limited to Queen Elizabeth’s children) gathered for the final movement of Queen Elizabeth’s coffin and Prince Philip’s coffin from the main Royal vault into their final resting spot in the adjacent family vault.
I see about half the coffin still sticking out at that 24 second point.
My point is that it would have been better to see the whole thing go underground just as the participants assembled there would have seen as well. And we could have heard the piper in the background rather than watching him instead of the coffin.
Quite possibly the Queen decided this. But also quite possibly it was the producer selecting which camera feed to queue up. We’ll never know and again, it’s no big deal, that was just my reaction when it happened.
In any case, the whole affair from beginning to end was very well managed with the stars being the British people themselves, the silent majority who came out in their millions demonstrated a sense of heart and solidarity which is rarely evidenced these days given the ghastly level of corruption and manipulation on the part of those curating national conversations in both print and moving picture media.
But thank you, Sunrei, for trying.
I get what you are saying, later when it was over as the family filed out they had already closed the floor. My irritation was seeing the black/white floor. You have all that gorgeous “chapel” and it has an ugly black/white floor. No doubt there is some historical reasoning for it. The other one had it too.
Ya gotta love Americans….. the Griswalds are a documentary.
The black and white tiles are incredibly traditional, you won’t understand that.
No, I don’t understand, gorgeous cathedral and there are ugly black and white tile floors. Why don’t you explain it to me.
These historically floor patterns are many hundreds of years old, original design features at WM. Only ugly for an American who needs stimulation.
The pattern is historic and is found in very old interior decorating from the Vatican to Westminster
I assume an Hawiian print lino would have titillated you more successfully?
Try to ignore. This one is unfortunate, IMHO.
Had a problem down thread. Bless you. Stay a patriot!
I just responded to you upthread.
The black and white basically mean Good and Bad. Very fitting for a church or cathedral.
This may explain…
Related – What does black and white mean to the Illuminati?
The black and white represents duality like the ying and yang. They believe that in order to find balance both light and darkness are part of the same whole. That both paths lead to the same end.
The balance of that duality made whole through the ratio of Phi 1.618 also known as the golden mean. It has to do with the nature of the law.
To them as above so below represents the hermetic struggle between the flesh and the soul. They believe that through knowledge of both good and evil they can transcend the physical becoming enlightened or illuminated becoming like god.
The same lie the sepent told adam and eve in the garden to get them to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
https://www.quora.com/What-do-black-and-white-checker-floors-symbolize?share=1
Thank you! Very interesting. I also noticed that both floors were black and white check like that and presumed there must be a reason for it but didn’t try to find out what it might be.
Reminds me of Longshank’s line in Braveheart:
Our somewhat modest London house (in Chiswick) had the same black and white check floor in the entry hallway. I always found it somewhat garish and modern-looking. The churches I went to as school didn’t have such floors so I was surprised to see them in both grand churches yesterday.
A bit about the black and white tile: https://freemasoninformation.com/banks-of-the-euphrates/the-checkered-flooring/
Watch it on BBC on YouTube
Same video feed. There was one set of cameras that all the media accessed. Exact same cut to the piper when the coffin was halfway down.
Good god……
Not your decision and none of your business.
Maybe when Disney does royal funerals you’ll get a more American approach.
Titillate or bust…eh matey.
Am British. Met the Queen. Lived down the road.
Your projections are all off.
It’s just a personal opinion but that’s how I felt: condescended to (we were not worthy to see the final moment of the ceremony) and thus irritated. No big deal, but that’s how it was.
‘May flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest.’
In loving memory of Her Majesty The Queen.

A previously unseen picture of the Queen in her younger years has been released by the Royal Family following her private burial in Windsor on Monday evening.
The official Twitter account for the Royal Family released the previously unseen image at 9.30pm of the late monarch when she was younger, in what appeared to be against a backdrop of moorland in Scotland.
The young Queen can be seen donning a pair of sunglasses with a headscarf covering her brown hair as she walks uphill.

50,000 acres of freedom.
Thank you WSB.
YW, MC. I never knew much about St. George’s. Have been to Westminster but unfortunately never had the opportunity to visit Windsor. Will post the similar illustration for Westminster for those interested.
You always get the best pictures!!
I have a secret sauce, MC!!!!
It’s working!
Thank you very much for posting this image. It’s very considerate of you.
You’re welcome, Gary.
Hubbs and I watched all of it on Britbox. It was lovely.
I sincerely hope King Charles can hold it together.
I read somewhere that Elizabeth wanted William to take the job in 10 years max when the old codger turns 80.
Whether true or not, it makes sense. …. somehow. I do hope they stay on the conservative non extreme nature.
Those leftists are such extremists.
Charles, is a founding member of WEF, has a hideous temper which he was happy to display last week, and was buddies with Jimmy Saville
It could be stress and exhaustion but I don’t think Charles is looking all that great. He has aged 20 years since the Queen passed. He might bounce back but I don’t see him lasting but so long. William and Kate would be a much better choice.
And the whole “consort” thing is weird. Hello Consort just doesn’t have a nice ring.
It was quite an impressive funeral.. When they had the pall bearers
raise the casket I was nervous, but they did a really good job..especially
up those stairs.
The bagpiper lament was sad and I equate it to our “Taps” very sad ..
I felt bad for Charles.. He seems very overcome and while he has waited
his whole life to be king it comes only at the death of his mother..
I thought William and Catherine’s Children were very well behaved for the
long day and the sitting thru two services..
The whole family would have made her proud today..
Those 2 children were absoutely well behaved. Such darlings. A joy to behold. A testament to Princes William and Princess Catherine.
When Charlotte got in the car she was so very careful to make sure her dress was pulled down so there wouldn’t be some sort of rear shot. It was a very smooth move for such a little girl. She has been trained.
A little lady with a big heart…I once swore an allegiance to her. May she R.I.P.
The one line that I will always remember said from the funeral is…
” death is the door to Glory”….
I am grateful they didn’t change out the word funeral for celebration of life.
For me, the Queens death is an end of an era.
I have zero invested in her, but still feel an emotional jarring.
She was Queen longer than I’ve been alive.
I appreciate her longevity, if anything.
Im not sad, not mad, not anything
except feeling rightfully old, with her passing.
God keep her and take her.
BoBo, I am hoping that today’s funeral services will awaken any and all of the Royals who had discounted the values of Faith and Trust in God. Perhaps awaken spirituality in both leaders as well as the “civilians” in all countries. Indeed, the world has has not done well under the flag of “secularism.”
It certailnly feels like the end of an era, and with it, the end of all we have known.
A great valley of decision lies before us.
What lies on the other side?
I am not looking forward to it…
I wish churches today (mine included!) had half the dignity, reverence, and solemnity of this service. All we hear at churches these days is this lousy, emotionally manipulative, modern worship music.
Perhaps her Anglican Church, the one to which she was Keeper of the Faith to, would satisfy that wish?
The Anglican church is now woke with promoting and supporting transgender and homosexual bishops.
I agree with Mark’s sentiments about “contemporary” service. Nothing reverent about it.
See this! Who IS this person? This upsets me no end…so uneasy!
“This upsets me no end…so uneasy”
Just curious over here. Why is that? ^
After my own church took out our wonderful minister, we then had very left wing people take over our church.
And then we had people who seemed to be odd characters. I was not sure who they were?
Who is this man? Woman? Priest? Minister?
Ohhhh. I see. Well, I dunno 😐
Not mine, thankfully. And I’m the main organist yhere. Also hear good, biblical sermons.
You are blessed!
That’s a gorgeous photo WSB. I knew there had to be special meaning in the floral arrangement for the Queen’s final wreath, and indeed, there was…
The funeral bouquet atop Queen Elizabeth’s casket held special meaning, thanks to King Charles III. Not only did each flower serve its own purpose, but the myrtle used in the bouquet was grown from the same myrtle the Queen carried in her wedding bouquet when she married Prince Philip in 1947.
https://www.marieclaire.com/celebrity/royals/queen-funeral-bouquet-flowers/
Leave it to the British to pay such exquisite attention to details redolent with meaning.
The arrangement was just exquisite! And I love the sentiment for all of the selections.
I noticed the rosemary, which is for remembrance. It is like someone went out on the castle grounds and carefully selected what was available. Charles is supposed to be quite the gardener. Anyway, it was very pretty and unique.
The wreath which adorns the Queen’s coffin includes flowers requested by King Charles. Cut from the gardens of Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Highgrove House, the flowers and foliage have been chosen for their symbolism
And all those pall bearers–standing together–brothers in arms -as soldiers should be
The concept that a human being is the living representation of a nation is profound.
The human being must accept that enormous responsibility.
The ludicrous Megan and Harry could never grasp the import of this assignment.
And Americans have never figured out the absurdity of having petty politicians like Biden trying to assume both roles. And never will.
What we witnessed today was the final, fitting journey of a human being quite rightly described as the conscience of the nation. The vainglorious humbled and the politicians severely diminished by a single incorruptible individual with deep convictions based on their Christian faith.
There are so many lessons here for us all, and the generations to come.
Not all our politicians have been petty. We have had some noble characters represent us through the years.
Unfortunately, we’ve had some whose character has been less than noble, too.
But the Lord raises up rulers and casts them down, as well.
We’re getting old…. more funerals than weddings nowadays.
Let’s hope the Queen’s death brings some truly needed introspection in the UK, because, God Knows, they sorely need it.
Elizabeth II was a genteel, strong character that respected her country and its citizens, unlike the current crop of hungry money changers in London. She deserves our respect.
Meanwhile, we in the US, have no such anchor. We stumble along on our own, but in that respect we are blessed in that we make more mistakes and so we learn more.
While we respect the late British Queen, let’s also revel in our unique circumstances. We should use this as a time of self reflection, in both nations, and reflect on the meaning of MAGA and MUKGA: The happiness of the peoples in our countries.
No anchor? Of course we have an Anchor. His name is Jesus, and He is light years better than any human.
As I watched the historic, solemn & very emotional funeral service, processions and committal service for Queen Elizabeth I could not look away. As I am a bit older I will most likely never witness such a day as this again.
As other Treepers have posted the clergy and readers paid such tribute to the late Queen’s enduring faith. The same faith I remember hearing her profess to be the Defender of the faith at her coronation as I watched on black & white TV in 1953.
God Bless Queen Elizabeth. Rest In Peace faithful servant. Well done.
I saw a bit of the procession this morning. Obviously a lot larger, but reminded of Reagan’s funeral: well thought out and planned as well as following traditional and historical norms in context with Biblical and “state” traditions.
Reagan’s funeral was my favorite until today. His was great.
Rest in Peace. 🙏
I was glad that Elizabeth’s final act as Queen was to give Great Britain a week to remember what once was a great country, not what it has now become. Now, back to the ugly reality for Britain.
Maybe Queen Elizabeth’s final act/send off will inspire Great Britain and the UK to shed those ugly current realities and strive for a return to Christian/spiritual values and beliefs. I pray so. I pray it for all of the world, that they disavow the godless NWO.
The Queen’s favourite horse – Emma – waits for the monarch to arrive
The lady on the far left is almost as wide as Emma the horse. And what is Roger Stone doing standing next to Emma?
And Barron in the background? I had to do a double take!
And Hillary on the right, with Church Lady. Okay, now back to the serious matter at hand. 🙂
The Lady of whom you speak and the one beside her , both did a Beautiful Curtsy as the Queen passed by . The horse is lovely .
A Hard Lesson to Learn is Not to Judge a Book by its Cover .
It is a shameful lesson .
I know , because it happened to me .. at a later age in life . I now try to be more Mindful before I speak . Still working on myself .
I was impressed by the HorseWomen , Emma and the Queen’s Corgis .
Prince George and Princess Charlotte Win the Day 😊
Yes, the babies did a great job today!
You are so correct. These are the people who assisted Queen Elizabeth daily to ride her horses. You can see their pain and loss of a friend.
And she did a lot with breeding and stewardship for all of her animals. .
I learned hunting courses and diligently cared for all of the horses in the riding center/farm of which I was a part. This is what these places used to do. They teach young people how to care for animals, and steward these precious souls.
I know Queen Elizabeth II was in a fishbowl at times, but somehow the mud on our boots is the same.
WSB ,
Beautifully Stated .
Always Love seeing pictures of the Queen out Riding , a Recreation she kept up her Whole Life !
It is a Comfort to me
(and I hope for You too)
that we have a Shared Love of Our Animals in common with the Queen 👑😊💐
Universal, RyderLee!
Amen, RyderLee. I plead guilty to that one as well. A hard lesson learned long ago, and a shaming one I’ll never forget.
Some with pleasing covers become ugly, once the contents are known. Likewise, an unappealing facade becomes instantly radiant when a beautiful soul shows itself.
My sister in law in Wales has had horses all her adult life. Those who work with those animals have big hearts and a love for animals which runs very deep. And most are women or girls for whom horses are their lives. Kind, sweet, diligent in their care of these of God’s creatures.
And all of them more beautiful than so many in this world, man or woman, whose inner selves betray the faces they show. Well said.
Thank You , Betsy .
She’s a beauty!
Thank you, WSB. I was telling Ad rem about seeing this. It broke our hearts.
Very sad for the pets.

“Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved horse, Carltonlima Emma, bid farewell to Britain’s longest-reigning monarch as the Queen’s coffin processed through Windsor Castle on Monday.
Many of the Queen’s four-legged friends, including her two corgis Sandy and Muick, made a special appearance at Windsor during the funeral procession. The black fell pony, nicknamed Emma, stood on the grounds as the Queen’s coffin made its way up the Long Walk to St George’s Chapel.”

Learnt last night that the ‘corgis’ are in fact Dorgis – a cross between a corgi and a dachshund. The Queen had several of these over the years.
Prince Andrew gifted Muik to the Queen when Prince Philip became unwell in early 2021, shortly before his death. Then this year, Sandy was gifted to Her Majesty on what would have been Philip’s 100th birthday. The dogs, and a dorgi named Candy, will now be looked after by the prince and his ex-wife (Sarah Ferguson – ‘Fergie’).
Interestingly, when the Queen’s corgi named Monty passed away in 2012 (at the age of 18 years), she resolved to never get another corgi for fear of leaving it behind after her death.
And yet, the family knew Elizabeth need companionship with her special little friends! They will be WELL cared for!
Wonderful find, BruceC!!
Did you see one of the Queen’s headscarves laid out on Emma’s saddle? A hidden side of Her Majesty was her refusal to submit to PC and nanny-knows-best culture. She would ride her horse without a riding helmet – instead opting for a beautiful head scarf.
Love it!!! Not wise if one is jumping fences, yet I doubt the Queens was ever tearing around the grounds!
Touching and so sad.
One of the best parts of the day. Ya gotta love an animal lover.
Oh, yes! May God bless all of the animals! And those who shepherd them!
Excellent find! Thx for sharing!!
I hope King Charles III heeds the most profound admonishments to serve God and his countrymen.
LOL don’t hold your breath
“Lowered”? You mean like the status of America as depicted by FAKE POTUS F. Brandon? Lowered? I guess the Heroic and Heartfelt send off of The Queen left a bad taste in Joe’s mouth? Why else would he be cleaning his tongue during the ceremony?

No class. Obviously the drugs to stop him messing his pants have dried his mouth up.
Aging bodies nothing to make fun of. God willing we will all be there one day.
Doesnt belong here. Please and thank you.
My Mom was virtually the same age as Queen Elizabeth (a few months apart). She really like her, even though she wasn’t into “royalty” and all that. Like me, she just felt that Elizabeth had managed to stay more or less “normal” despite the pedestal in the bubble she lived her whole life on. So Mom would have been sad to see this day. But at the same time, I’m sure she’s already introduced herself to the Queen.
Have fun, you two! No doubt you’ll be listening to Elizabeth’s stories and enjoying every minute of it. But don’t forget to tell her YOUR stories…. you had some great ones of your own, and I’m sure she’ll get a kick out of them! Love you, Mom.
😥 ….you made me start all over again.
Crying? Me, too!
🙏🏻🙏🏻
I see that some dude named Khan tried to attack the Queen’s coffin. Then there is Sadiq Khan, London mayor, one the worst mayors in the history of mayordom, speaking ill of President Trump in 2016 and beyond. Plus there is Khizr Kahn demonizing Trump in 2016 while holding up a copy of the Constitution on national television at the Democratic convention.
Kahn someone please explain what’s up with these fools? lol
I find Sky news does not have that banner obscuring the scene and has better photos of the Queen than French ???? Television. The French are always jealous of Britain and show it here by their presentation.
I don’t know what channel I watched, I have the antenna tv thing, and the station that I landed on did not have any banners, icons, just full screen Tv. Like the old days. The commenters said they would not talk out of respect for the Queen, and then in the appropriate moments they would explain what was happening and the tradition. The drive to Windsor they interviewed some folks that were close to the Queen. It was refreshing Tv. And they went out of their way to be careful w/identifying the family.
We toyed with watching on Britbox, which had a heartbreaking opening to their coverage, but in the end stayed with Sky News. We were impressed with their incredible and professional coverage.
Not for a moment did we consider the left-wing BBC, so far left and disrespectful, snide and hateful. They used to be wonderful…no more.
Glad you found Sky News was a good choice.
I stumbled by accident on a Rumble link yesterday that was perfect for me –No voice over, no talking heads at all, but every now and then a bubble comment was shown from a connected chat room –all loving, respectful. It felt like I watching it along with others.
Someone on that video commented that the music and marching feet melded together to sound like a heartbeat, a country’s heartbeat. I listened for it and yes, there it was. I wonder if that detail was planned or synchronicity? Monday was an extraordinary, majestic and fitting tribute for the Queen.
https://rumble.com/v1koic8-live-state-funeral-for-her-majesty-the-queen.html
(full discolsure apparently this is The Body Language Guy’s channel –but the full funeral in this link was 100% without his input and only with occasional chat room people’s respectful, heartfelt comments)
Jill Biden sat next to the president of Switzerland. Hey, Jill, assisted suicides are legal in Switzerland. Hint. Hint. LOL
I can’t stand the media’s coverage. Every station had the stupid banner in the way so you couldn’t see what was going on! Look at this video, the banner is tight in the way. All day long all the coverage was messed up with banners that said exactly what everyone knew what was on the screen. Why?
Very, very beautiful, sad, and moving segment.
I watched and listened to some of the ceremonies this morning before work but had to leave before the internment.
Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth.
The British are truly the masters of pageantry. The service was spectacular. The sounds of the bagpipes brings chills through my body.
It was incredibly poignant beautiful day. The attention to detail and precision was mind boggling. Incredible it all pulled together w/out a hitch. I was touched that they included her horse and dogs. I loved that everyone wore black, as opposed to like here in America where everything is mish-mash. I will never forget going to a Gold Star ceremony hosted by the Governor and people wore flip flops, wrinkled T-shirts, like they had just rolled out of bed, many of them were actual Gold Star family members I was appalled and offended. Today people had their class.
Anyway, The Queen would be proud. Amazing that most of it she planned herself, if you want done right, do it yourself. I do not know how they keep up w/Royal protocol but it was wonderful to see so much culture, history, and tradition on display. I really appreciate the channel I watched it on, the commenters said out of respect for the Queen they would only comment when appropriate.
I have to give the pall bearers kudos, those guys were superb. It was a LEAD coffin, they did those stairs like champs.
I really appreciated seeing unity, Her Majesty was able to weave in representation for all her subjects w/grace. No one was left out.
For a very brief moment there at the end I even liked Charles. I cannot even begin to comprehend how mentally, physically, emotionally exhausted the family is. They still have yet another service to attend, a private one w/just them.
My favorite interview was of the Queen’s bagpiper, what a great job he had. It was the devil to translate as he spoke but he was cool. There were lots of great stories told today. Queen Elizabeth had the best farewell I have ever seen.
What lovely thoughts!
“Pipe Major Paul Burns, the same man who played the pipes for Queen Elizabeth II each morning, helped lay her to rest Monday performing a moving final piece at the former monarch’s committal service at St. George’s Chapel.
Just after Queen Elizabeth’s coffin was lowered into the royal vault beneath the chapel, the sovereign’s piper played a final lament, “A Salute to the Royal Fendersmith,” from the doorway between the chapel and the Dean’s Cloister. He slowly walked down the hallway with his music fading away with him.”

We fought a war to free ourselves from the English monarchy long ago and I will not demontrate any reverence for that corrupt and outdated institution. Baring no ill will to the lady we all pass and that is that. But I will not prop up this charade of kings and queens. The whole royal family and its trappings is meaningless to me.
The past 10 days have really put me in a reflective mood. If we show honor to this living Queen how much more should we show honor to our Lord Jesus Christ? I find that often I show honor at specific times and my heart began to burn to honor God more than I have. I also recognized that honoring those that God allowed to be in authority over me is part of showing Him honor and this at times is challenging especially when that authority is not walking in the light of God. So in my walk to become more honoring I pray I can pray earnestly for my leaders and speak truth with love and conviction.
I pray that the Sermon, Scriptures, and the song of Psalms that were sang pricked the hard hearts of all that viewed the funeral and become soften to the Lord. I pray that words spoken by Archbishop Wembly that leadership is submission to God and serving His people for the greater good of the Gospel. Leadership is NOT about power, popularity and influence. May Queen Elizabeth rest with God and may King Charles submit wholly to Jesus Christ.
“how much more should we show honor to our Lord Jesus Christ?”
At the risk of being banned again…..(.but I’ve been assured on another thread that commenters here don’t take offence 🙂 ).
You have to face the fact that many believe that although Judeo-Christian values were wonderfully formative and necessary for the cultural triumph of the West, belief in a supernatural being is simply faith. The Queen had it, many do not.
You have to process that the Queen was demonstrably real and her reign was demonstrably an outstanding triumph.
That’s the difference.
In agreement. I am also in a strangely deep reflective understanding tonight.
Queen Elizabeth’s passing highlights her Christianity. No matter how bastardized our modern history has been, she has continued to be quite a rock for Western Civilization.
For better or worse, she has been a calm, God-fearing soul. Never bending.
I find myself in tears this evening as I lament her passing as a marker of humanity, the current degradation from which we might never recover.
I pray that King Charles III realizes his task.
Queen Elizabeth…honored and worshiped…God. Feel safe with her prayers…and Him.
Where was Fergie?
She was there along with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie
(had her hair up in a bun)
I found on her on the Daily Mail. I didn’t notice her while watching the funeral today. Glad she could make it.
It will be many years before we see anything like this again. Actually, we may NEVER see anything like it again.
God Save the Queen.
Certainly hope I don’t see anything like this again…or the public’s naive adoration & obsession with the whole royal family.
Has everyone forgotten that this new king wants most of us dead & gone. A small amount of research can confirm this much.
The wise QEII might well have left a letter for Charles…….
If this bloke starts shilling his green / global warming / “for thee but not for me” political BS of yore….the monarchy has a short shelf life.
The cunning Australian PM, a Republican, is encouraging Charles to “speak out on politics”, Anthony knows this will be the end of the monarchy in Australia…and he is doing his bit.
This teensy little spider was viewed by 4.1 billion people worldwide who tuned in for today’s funeral coverage.

He also got closer to the crown than Meghan Markle will ever get. 😀
The strategically placed single, Megan, yellow candle tv blockout must have been deliberate, no detail is co-incidental at the ultimate royal funeral.
Great minds Mill…..
See below! I spend all this time looking it up, and someone upstages me by a matter of seconds….whatevah….
Why should that concern me? Ad Rem gets it….you aren’t up to speed……

Queen Elizabeth’s funeral: Bizarre Meghan detail at Westminster Abbey goes viral
Social media users wondered if the bizarre moment was strategic or accidental.

It didn’t take long for people watching the Queen’s funeral on the BBC in the UK to notice a very strange detail from inside Westminster Abbey.
During coverage of the service, one camera angle from inside the abbey obscured the face of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, because a giant yellow candle was burning in front of it.
…The image prompted a flurry of bemused comments, mostly by people who seemed to dislike the Duchess of Sussex.
“On the sad occasion of Her Majesty’s Funeral, I am comforted in the knowledge that Meghan’s head is obscured by a candle,” one person wrote.

Here it is WSB. They not only blocked her out at the funeral, I felt they were blocking her out earlier in the week with one of the candles at the vigil in Westminster Hall.

Puddy, just tried to post a response, however it was too late to edit. SD prefers understanding and respect prior to posting.
Who is Mill?
Too bad there are some people here who are disrespectful to others.
I so appreciate SD giving us a thread on this. I have thoroughly enjoyed one day to look at a lot of history.
We have a world wide asymmetric war raging right now. SD gives us a terrific place to post a 70 year era ending, yet insults by a commenter?
Do we really need this? The comments were not clear at all. Someone new?

QEII’s father. More study required.
Psst….tried to send you an email, but it bounced back. 🙁
Got it! And replied. LOL!
TY!
Speaking as an English woman, now living in Canada, it is beyond depressing to see the changes which have happened
in the UK since 1952.
My goodness!
Oh my!
King Charles is saluting correctly.
Prince William is not.
fwiw
? The salutes shows their military affiliation, King Charles to the Navy and Prince of Wales to the Air Force?
Oh My! Have never seen that in our own military branches, nwtex! I know Army and Marines! May have missed.
Found some info….
The British Army developed a salute with the palm facing outwards, also used by the Royal Air Force.
The Royal Navy, however, adopted a version with the palm facing downwards, thought to be because many men working on ships had dirty palms and to display them was disrespectful.Jan 5, 2015
The Royal Navy’s form of salute is thought to have influenced the US military, whose version also involves the palm facing downwards.
(UGH!) —>>
Etiquette is important. In September last year, US President Barack Obama was criticised for saluting a marine as he left a helicopter while continuing to hold a cup of coffee.
“It has been said that a sloppy salute is worse than not saluting at all,” says the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, which, like many other non-military organisations, also salutes.

No, do not like the hand to the viewer. Not!!!
I’m with you. I think of someone about to hit the “fainting-couch” 😯
