A small sideline story that reflects a combination of sociological and economic facets. A Yacht Club in the Hamptons of New York is forced to cancel their restaurant services after their staff is removed from the USA due to immigration enforcement.
The larger picture is well worth discussing, because there is a large and inorganic part of the U.S. economy that will obviously be impacted by immigration enforcement and the removal of illegal or unauthorized workers. First, from the Hamptons:
NEW YORK – An ultra-exclusive Hamptons yacht club catering to the wealthy and well-connected was forced to suspend its members-only restaurant service for multiple days after several of its kitchen staff were booted from the country over visa issues, The Post has learned.
The swanky oceanfront Devon Yacht Club in Amagansett — which reportedly charges around $100,000 in initiation fees — canceled its Wednesday night dinner service after its foreign cooks had to leave the US because of problems renewing their H-2B temporary work visas, according to a letter sent to members the same day.
Food service was also canceled Thursday and was not expected to be back up and running until Friday’s lunch service, the club informed its deep-pocketed members — a group that once included Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’s parents.
[…] “It seems that an oversight either by the agent or attorney responsible for submitting our petition or perhaps by the US Immigration Office itself has resulted in a situation where our H2B kitchen staff must leave the country immediately and return to their home countries for at least 60 days before their visas can be renewed.” (read more)
Obviously, there is not a lot of sympathy for a bunch of elitists missing their Avocado toast and brunch options. However, if we stand back and think about the scale of economic activity impacted by a return to a nationally organic labor force, we accept there are going to be major ramifications to a variety of businesses across a broad spectrum of sectors.
As a ‘let’s get on with it’ proponent of deporting all illegal aliens, cancelling H1B and J-1 visas as well as removing all Temporary Protected Status populations from the USA, we must also accept the very predictable consequences.
Due to the inorganic nature of corporatized economics built on the backs of foreign workers, right now there are thousands of businesses in the USA operating on an inorganic business model, that could never have been sustained without massive import of cheap foreign labor. Additionally, there are billions of dollars in investment that was poured into the economy based on this inorganic and manipulated job market.
There are resorts and venues operating in the USA which never would have been built without a foundation of foreign labor to service them. Take that labor force out of the economy and things will significantly change. This outcome is both predictable and necessary to reset the labor market.
As all of these foreign workers are removed there is going to be massive pressure on the wage rates for American workers. That’s a great benefit. Simultaneously, there’s also some businesses that will never survive without that foreign labor pool because the business model itself was built upon a false foundation.
Most of the time we think about the service industries with workforces that are significantly staffed with foreign workers. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, vacation destinations etc. Many of these locations currently operating would never have found capital or investment in a true economy that was not built on illegal immigration, visas or foreign workers. There are likely hundreds of resorts that exist only because the labor market is inorganic.
With a predictable rise in wages comes the increased operating costs and diminished profit return for the investors and owners. This can have a major impact, but again, this outcome is due to fraud in the underlying business model. Those businesses likely would never have started and the investment never would have been capitalized without the fraud it is dependent upon.
Take out the illegal aliens; remove the H1B visas and all other ancillary visa approvals and remove the protected status returning foreign workers to their country of origin, and U.S. wage rates and benefits will quickly increase as companies try to find a way to shift to a business model built upon real economics.
This rise in wages will be significant and that can create an inflation increase. As wages increase in price, the operating costs increase. The per unit business model then must adjust and things like hotel rooms go up in price. As resort prices increase, they become unaffordable to the current target customer, that leads to lower sales and decreased revenue. However, that natural dynamic also returns organic competition to a market that has been missing competition for decades.
It’s not just about the service industries. As the labor market contracts, wage rates for blue collar construction and manufacturing jobs also increase. This can lead to higher consumer prices during the painful phase as the natural market balance is restored. Again, many businesses will not exist because many businesses never would have existed without the baseline of imported foreign workers.
Sectors of the economy will shrink just as the restaurant service in the Hamptons has been reduced.
There will be more housing available and rent prices will return to market competition. New construction homes will be more expensive to build, but less demand for the finished product brings back incentives and competition. Overall home prices for preexisting homes will likely drop significantly; however, on the upside with increased wages and lower home values the younger generation will have the opportunity for home ownership.
The U.S. population is roughly 350 million. There are roughly 170 million civilians in the eligible labor market. If you take out 50 million illegal aliens, then do the math and you will quickly realize how many inorganic or excess businesses are in operation.
Thousands of restaurants will go out of business, because thousands of restaurants never had a real business model to maintain their existence.
The labor fraud created a fraudulent economy, and this reset is going to be significant.

It’s not just civilian businesses. Airports, government offices, the Post Office, they all staff with non citizens.
DMV
Yep. Also, Social Security, Immigration, Federal buildings, and so on.
Explain?
OH WELL!
I’M SURE THEY ALL PAY WELL!
AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF AMERICANS OUT OF WORK THAT CAN USE THE WORK….IF WE CAN GET THEM TO WORK!
Good luck cleaning that place up.
it’s also a created a two tier workforce where admin get paid huge money and workers get paid third world money
i expect if you rebalanced the wages to the middle again and took out the parasitic admin and the illegal wage slave many businesses actually would survive
Most of these people working in country clubs are young Polish women.
Too bad!!!
IT MUST BE DONE IF WE ARE TO SAVE OUR REPUBLIC AND GET OUR COUNTRY BACK!
This is a travesty that we ever allowed it to happen in the first place!
Getting ready to have to learn how to do their own laundry and changing their linen too. The entire east end is staffed by imports.
Let’s hope the casino moguls can survive. Most major properties and their yachts are staffed with the same.
The Fed is starting to talk about raising interest rates to combat inflation. Rising wages is probably part of their calculations. Talk about ripple effects.
Who gives a crap about Casinos?
Let them fall!
In case you didn’t realize it……
THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY!
Good. It’s about damn time. We need to make sure this country NEVER goes down this road of fraud again.
Cheap labor for a swanky establishment? Part of the package.
As far as swanky, granted it was built long time ago, it appears there hadn’t been any efforts to at least upgrade the entire club. The food service tableware shown of the shrimp dish is downright cheap, outdated. And on plastic placemats? Swanky?
It’s not surprising there have been reports that members’ battles over plans for the club reflect a massive upgrade. Mainly, whether that includes a full demolition and multimillion-dollar reconstruction or renovations; befitting the hefty membership price they are paying.
If they plan on renovations…….and big multimillion dollar upgrades…….we need to find a rogue judge that can step in and stop them!!!
🤣 🤣 🤣
The question really is whether or not younger Americans will respond and fill the open jobs. I think a lot of them will, but the level of entitlement and narcicissm that’s out there might make it extremely difficult for others to accept, say, a dishwasher job.
And those that think that way will never be successful. That dishwasher job gets the person in the door where he or she is noticed.
Been there, done that almost sixty years ago. It worked, it built a work history, got better and better jobs each move. Retired from a Fortune 10 company. I was way down on that totem pole, but it took a good resume to get that job, and it started washing dishes.
I followed a similar path and had similar results.
I managed to retire at 55.
I’m not rich, but I am debt-free (outside regular monthly bills and routine living expenses).
Welcome to the “55 Retirement Club”, OV10 Bronco! My first job was working for a maintenance company while going to school. Mopping, waxing floors, emptying trashcans, cleaning bathrooms (oh, boy the stories I could tell) then I got lucky and landed an excavator job….after digging ditches to start.
Finally made it into a large company, rose up through the ranks to retire as a research scientist at 55. Never planned any of it. Just had good work ethic, brains that were a gift from God…..and luck. Still enjoying life and almost 70 now. No pharma drugs taken, just vitamins and eat fish twice a week.
Carry on!
Well, you have an excellent point.
Grandma’s and Grandpa’s, Moms and Dads have to change, by not flooding them with our wealth and pounding in our work ethic.
CC will have the sad’s, especially the lawns.
It would be a great time for a young person to start a lawncare service. They should be able to charge a premium for good work. Cleaning service, construction business and many others should be good too.
It is well known that most legitimate lawncare/landscape service providers in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio have a “zip code pricing” business model.
The result is many homeowners and business owners in upscale areas use providers who have highly competitive prices due to hiring low-priced, often illegal, labor.
Good point
Add to that a dramatic corresponding cut in food stamps (or whatever they call them now) and much much much tougher qualifications for disability (where the fraud is rampant).
Eliminate the incentives to live the freeloader lifestyle.
My teenage grandchildren will do just about any job for money. Very few job openings in our rural area but dishwasher, food prep, babysitting etc..they’re not picky. Yesterday my 15yr old grandson came over to help clear out our cow pasture. He’s never been up close to our beefers before, including the bull, lol. In any event, he learned how to run a tractor and brush hog the field and made a few bucks doing it.
They want the job, but they want to get paid $25 an hour to wash dishes.
Think about it: we went through this big dustup with the fast food workers, remember that?
They wanted to pay their mortgages with their jobs at McDonalds.
They wanted to raise a family on their wages being a cashier at Target..
They have no idea at all how this all works..
This is why it now costs $40 bucks to get crap food at McDonalds now.
$25 per hour is literally how much Buc-ee’s pays their low-level food service and bathroom cleaning employees. As proven by the success and reputation of Buc-ee’s, that is a perfectly sustainable and reasonable wage if you want quality service.

Before Tanning restrictions sent leather tanning overseas. You could pay a mortgage making shoes in New England. I worked in the industry in the late 1970’s, and all the older workers had homes and some even sent their children to higher education on the salaries they earned making shoes.
Those young, spoiled, entitled little turds aren’t going to fill those jobs. They think they deserve ridiculous wages and benefits, including flexible schedules and working remotely. They don’t understand that some jobs can’t be done remotely.
i dont see young vacant headed girls giving up OnlyFans.
lol.
Welfare reform needed at the same time as the jobs start opening up. I mean if parents feel like they have to keep providing for grown-up kids who refuse to work a mop or a register, that’s on them, but no way should American taxpayers be on the hook EBT’ing annoyed college grads waiting for $150k step-ins.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the younger generation.
In the late 60’s, early 70s, in high school and college, I had jobs as a busboy, dishwasher, fruit-picker, and night cashier at Spee-dee 7-11 (or Spee-dee 211, strong-arm robbery statute in California) and so did many of my classmates. Followed up with summers working on US Forest Service “slash crew,” in the Sierra doing timber-stand improvement and wildfire fighting. Most of the 24 guys on the crew were in college. Then, law school and a 45-year career in the law. Before that, though, 10 years of so-called “menial” jobs.
A lot of the trade unions quit recruiting as they grab up the sanctuary city illegals. There’s an unlimited supply of non English speaking workforce for certain trades. They union leaders call it the Hispanic division. Sanctuary cities like NYC provided false working papers and drivers licenses. The companies hire them and the American (white, black, brown etc) are getting mad. Sometimes one of the workers call ICE and about half disappear off the job only to be replaced a week later with more. Rather than recruiting our young, the union reps are sitting on their duffs collecting dough rather than engaging with our American young! Ignoring sanctuary states/cities was wrong! These invaders have scattered to the four winds around the state, making it impossible to find them all!
Then buy a dishwasher!
There are NO EXCUSES for us to import illegal immigrants to work!
Tough shit. Get rid of the illegals. All of them.
It’s about time the US Chamber of Commerce AKA the CCP gets it’s head handed to it!
If all citizens salaries go up (not forced by law), then they can afford more expensive goods and services, including the goods and services of their employers….and there is increased tax revenue, including more $ into the ravaged Social Security funds.
Ummmmm.. First keep in mind I’m not disagreeing with any point made here…
But…There is a BIG piece of the puzzle missing in the overall picture.
And that piece is that THE ENTIRE “cheap labor” business model is built on the business passing the cost of the immigrant housing, food, and medical onto the American taxpayer.
The labor isn’t “cheap”. It’s a model where the American taxpayer is forced to subsidize their competition so the businesses don’t have to pay a living wage.
If the businesses were forced to provide their foreign workers housing (or adequate housing allowances), and medical insurance the problem would be solved.
It’s a scam. It’s like the carbon credits the German automakers are forced to pay to China… and then China uses the subsidies to make “inexpensive” EV’s they that they then dump back on the German market. German automakers costs go up, Germans lose their jobs and the middlemen get rich.
The labor is not “cheap”. The American taxpayer is forced to subsidize it with their taxes.
That is the problem.
Strong comment. 👍
Spot on!
These elites hire the same illegals to mow their yard and clean their house and wash their car and paint their house and replace their roof and just about everything else. Essentially they are destroying their own nation. Talk about dumb idiots.
I think that the word that you were looking for was “selfish.”
No, that is not the word. The word is selfishness they are morally justified because they are helping these miscreants who are so below themselves. It makes them feel good, and their friends approve that message.
There is an element of reverse discrimination in this situation. It feels better and the savior gets cultural creds plus do good cred for helping themselves to labor at our expense but the saviors get none of those societal invisible yet very real credits for hiring cousin Julie’s daughter and helping her situation and it’s not beans to beans because in most cases cousin Julie’s daughter will never qualify for the social safety net benefits that the foreign worker gets at our expense so even with the job cousin Julie’s daughter is still much needier than the foreign born.
To be fair, in my neck of the woods if you want a new roof, 99% chance the workers are illegals.
And those roofers are hard workers. My buddy got his two-story roof done in 2 days. Guys showed up early, smiled, laughed, and got it done. No whining, few breaks, they all knew their roles and pitched hard. Same with my roofers last year. Thank goodness for google translate. Had to explain how I wanted extra flashing in one area for rodent protection. They happily complied once they understood! On my rental, the American guys pretended to work hard when the boss was around. But my neighbors told me how they slow down, smoke, talk, and use phones most of the time. Took them a week.
Still, time to deport them all and let our labor, housing, health and welfare systems rebalance.
Meanwhile, the illegal immigrant crew working on the house next door knocked a tree down into my yard and destroyed my garden. That’s the “good” outcome in the sense the that tree missed my roof and that nobody on the upstairs floor was injured.
Deport them all and stop dumping on Americans.
Americans tend not to bring their families to the worksite, which is kind of a relief when you consider liability laws in this country.
I mean dude that’s your baby your wife is juggling between nursing and steadying the ladder for you.
American males have been weakened by decades of “empowered” women dominating and imposing Safetyism.
Before the 1980s, boys were allowed to play, roughhouse, stay outside and run around with their pals, get into trouble, get hurt. It made young men who could do those construction jobs.
But then women became dominant, and Safetyism and coddling and comfort took over. No more recess in K-6 schools. Helmets on bikes. Don’t let the kids play outside by themselves where the caretaker adults cannot see them. Fearfulness. Male-bashing.
At the same time, opportunities for boys to become tough young men with skills started disappearing, as the US economy started offshoring and the ripple effects expanded, while the tough jobs went to the illegal immigrants at below-market wages.
The breathtaking scale of illegal immigration during the biden term led some to ask: What is the real purpose?
One plausible answer: To create conditions for increased chaos and further decline. This certainly fits with the other things done by the US government to sink the US, including the genetic manipulation bioweapons (modRNA shots) coerced into Americans with propaganda, censorship, and other manipulations.
The problems associated with deporting illegals who have become intrinsic to the economy may have been a part of the Plan.
Greedy idiots.
Not just elites, regular people require contractors and the crew that shows up more often than not, does not speak English.
While I agree with this, the short term hardship and pain will result in the Democrats winning and reversing everything…
Most people think in short term horizons.
This would work if the Republicans were united and if the process started on year 1 to allow 3 years of adjustment. If this starts now or in 6 months (I know it already started but not quite really) it will hit back right at 2028 presidentials… and the only way to win then is if the DNC puts forth an unhinged communist, and even then I’m not so sure…
Republicans are in on the scheme! Until the Ruling Class starts feeling the pain they cause by importing non-citizens with non-citizen values, the beat goes on folks.
I fully expect the DemonRats to put forth an unhinged communist. That’s all they got, some are just worse than others!
Oh No! Not the pool boy ! Not the manicurists ! Not the gardener ! Not the driver !
Who will clean my seven toilets? Who will dust my large parlor? Who will cook and serve food at my large dinner parties ?
Who will put away the party furniture after my garden party? Who will put up the party tent and take it down?
NOBODY TOLD ME LIFE COULD BE THIS HARD !
What? Hamptonites will be forced to wipe their own hind ends?
/snarc
The Devon Yacht Club will survive. I doubt it’s members will even notice the higher prices caused by hiring staff who are not slaves. Other businesses won’t be so fortunate and I won’t miss them. If they’re lucky, they’ll just have slightly smaller profits. If I were in charge, they would be in jail for violating the law by hiring illegal aliens. Illegals, afraid of being deported, are mistreated by their employers. On top of this, American citizens cannot get jobs at a decent wage because the illegals drive down wages.
How many US born young men and women missed out on busboy/girl or waiter/waitress jobs as their entry into the workforce? To know what it means to be on their feet for an 8 hour shift? How to show up on time.
This is about more than money.
I agree BUT how do you expect them to get an entry level job when many of them won’t put down their video games and/or cell phones long enough to go look for one.
Back in the day the jobs were the means to save up money for things we wanted.
That’s how I bought my first car, a used car, when I was in college. Worked a summer job on a loading dock, night shift, working 5-10 hour shifts/week. It was hard, physical work and I was in tip-top physical shape back then, 53 years ago! 🤩
Agree
I agree the operative word is slaves. Someone above applied the word selfish, but I think slaver is more accurate. Hiring illegals is HUMAN TRAFICKING.
It doesn’t bother me that some Americans are deprived of their long weekends or vacays at resorts which hire illegals. Boo hoo hoo you’re enabling the influx from the Third World.
America First.
Sorry, good riddance. If a business can’t survive without illegal workers, tough.
There will be a need for additional workers if we industrialize as Trump wants.
That’s not the problem!
The problem is that the American taxpayer subsidizes the housing and medical costs so the businesses can pay them lower wages.
If you force employers to provide all foreign workers an adequate housing allowance (no public low income housing allowed) and to provide them medical insurance (mo Medicaid allowed), the labor won’t be “cheap” to the businesses.
There are enough young Americans being pushed and shoved into worthless degrees. Offering them an opportunity to learn a paid trade or skill will be less expensive!
Lots of good points here, but I really want to see the murderers, rapists and other criminals deported more than someone washing dished. Fairfax CO, VA just released 9 of 12 child predators the police arrested – three were illegals ICE wanted. It’s incredibly frustrating to the the most dangerous criminals, illegals, released bu the leftists to repeat their crimes.
That dishwasher you’re sobbing over is statistically receiving free EBT, rent, and cash courtesy from the tax money that comes out of your American paycheck. Do not fall for their sob stories. They stole a job from an American, and they’re probably stealing benefits, too. Deport them all.
A lot of non entry job workers are collecting those benefits as well. Baggage handlers and car rental workers at airports for example. The government seems to find it charitable to take the money the hard working taxpayers put in and give it to them.
The illegals with work visa overstays didn’t steal those things, their employers did, and I don’t see the employers being held accountable.
When does Karma turn and bite those SOBs in the @$$.
That dishwasher has six kids. That is the problem. That became the great replacement writ large in California Illegals exponentially breeding. Now the state is swimming in red ink and our K-12 schools are in the toilet.
While gangs of these young people harass us on their e-bikes and the cartels recruit them to run their drug trades.
Ooops. that is the other side of that ……. one hard-working illegal.
Gavin, etc., and up the chain.
Unless government spending is curtailed, inflation will continue apace. The only “source” for dollars is the printing press that is our government. If the amount of money is fixed, spending more for labor will mean less is spent somewhere else. At least the increased labor participation in the native population will keep the money in the country.
Higher wages for Americans means more of it stays stateside. That is a given.
However, more of that money circulating in the local economy contributes to the velocity of money. There will be those that will save their money for the future, others who will spend their money in the local economy now, and a remainder who will take risks and invest it to make more money.
That last part is where the real benefit is. Those investments are what fund innovation at the businesses and industries of today and the near future who employ so many.
I hear you,
I have lived in NH all my life and still cannot believe the amount of property taxes levied on owners in this state. Tax amounts here are as high as a mortgage in some towns. And you can blame the State and education costs deferred to the towns but in the end, you have to curtail the darn spending. Taxing people to get what you want instead of what you need is not a Budget! it doesn’t work in any household that I know of. Spending this year to justify next year’s budget is pure bull hockey. Towns have to be held responsible for spending in a responsible way that allows the rest of us to live. Not to toil all our lives to worry about our ability to retire in our hometowns. The town leaders and the State just don’t care. Pay or forfeit your property. Move somewhere else. It is not enough for the working class to play by the rules. The Govt monster demands more! With no regard for your problems.
It will hurt, but that IS what I voted for, and I’d do it again!
It hurts far more if we don’t do it. Now.
Oh my gosh, rich liberals won’t have slaves anymore. What will they do?
Robots. It is already happening.
Elites of no party other than the globalist one that shall not be named.
The economic shock would be enormous but well worth it! My small construction company has been fighting this since 2008 to 2010 time period. The wage race has been down not up. My competitors pay them all cash no insurance.
The race is to the bottom of the barrel – very sad.
Just look what illegals did to our schools with their six kids each.
They produce at the rate that we should be producing.
$100k initiation fee and these bozos hire aliens for pennies on the dollar. How absolutely vile. They deserve to die on their exclusive vine.
It gets more and more interesting as time goes on.
Basic economics still seems to have a solid hold on how people make and spend money.
Regardless of one’s economic status, everyone tries to make as much as they can (working/welfare/theft, welfare, theft, investments) and spends as little as they need to meet their needs and wants.
It makes no difference what type of government/economy is operating; income/supply/demand are fundamental.
Sad to see this discussion into dumping on Americans and younger Americans in general. A lot of folks here talking about their career experiences from decades ago have no idea how different or bad it is out there being forced to compete with the entire Third World and DEI quotas for even entry-level jobs. Maybe younger folks would be much more motivated if they didn’t spend literally their entire lifetime watching opportunity after opportunity being handed to foreigners and DEI hires while being smugly told they deserve it because they’re too “privileged.” I don’t blame a single one of them for checking out of this current rotten system. Treat young American workers fairly and with dignity, pay them a fair wage, and they will show up.
… Not to mention all the health effects from the poison shots they (and the military and many adults) were coerced to take by the depopulationist crowd and their greedy pharma cohorts; and gross proliferation of non-natural microwave radiation-emitting wireless cell phones and towers, school and home tech, satellites, ad nauseum – as well as the documented screen addiction they (and many of us adults) are suffering from (this is why Meta, etc. was forced to pay such a big settlement. There are many hidden factors here. I also don’t like the corporate corruption that I have witnessed over the years to obtain cheap labor, enticing deeply poor people from Mexico for example, to come in and operate in their big business shadow economy. Fault lies on both sides.
The point is that if businesses are actually forced to return to a REAL “organic” labor market they will no longer have the luxury to practice irrational discrimination, specifically DEI. Businesses will be forced to compete for people who can do the job, regardless of whether or not they are part of some “oppressed” (ie protected) group. All that nonsense will vanish. Companies that cling to those delusions will go out of business, as they should.
I am 65 and work with a team of 15 much younger folks and, speaking for my own group, they are all hard workers, come in on time or early and most do not have any college degrees. The generalities about the younger generations are just that. It does not apply to all and there are some great kids out there. Most of my team are 20s-30s in age. I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
Idea………… Why don’t the rich liberals
MOVE TO MEXICO???
which is appropriate here-
let them eat cake,
learn to code,
suck it up buttercup?
Sympathy for the management of the restaurant? How about fines and possible prison time for aiding and employing illegal workers. Were they paying them cash and avoiding taxes too?
I am old enough to remember when an ICE raid meant some employer was going to jail!
Every landscape company depends on low wage foreign workers. Same with construction, cable TV, electric utilities, etc.
Ask yourself this.
What % of teenagers in your “circle” have a part time and/or summer job? Compare that to 30-50 years ago.
A lot of these kids have zero interest in even getting a drivers license.
There is a lot of potential American citizen labor that is simply not participating.
SD is right. There will be a real restructuring with some pain. Will Americans choose the long view over the short term? Color me skeptical.
You make valid points but I actually blame the parents more than the kids in many situations.
The number of young people that I know who are on anti-anxiety meds, need Mommy to intervene with the teacher because they don’t like the assisgnment, and spend their days glued to screens is horrific but that doesn’t happen unless parents allow it to be the norm!
The other extreme is the parents who are convinced that little Teddy or Tabitha is going to get a full ride scholarship and who spend exorbitant sums of money and countless hours on “select” team sports, which leave the kids no time for a job, or a normal life.
I do think we need to tighten up the laws regarding ANY form of benefits going to someone who is able bodied but “chooses” not to work because it is “too hard”, or they think it is beneath them…if their family wants to support them, FULLY, that’s up to them but NO benefits, no Medicaid, no food stamps, period!
“Not participating” or completely shut out of the job market by immigrants and DEI quotas? Ranjeet who runs the local McDonald’s only hires his fellow countrymen.
These deportations will only continue until the end of Trump’s term. Even if Vance succeeds him he will not be Trump. He is beholden to donors who do not share Trump’s view on purging illegals or for such tight border security. The GOP establishment serves corporate interests that want the cheap labor. They do not support Trump’s border closure. They don’t want a chaotic open border like the Democrats. But they want a porous border that will allow 1 million illegals entry a year and no deportations except for the truly dangerous violent criminals. The Democrats of course will immediately open the border a la Biden and severely downsize ICE and restrict most deportations.
Vance is a weasel – came on as part of the deal with the BigTech oligarchs. Two have been through the fire with Trump – Hegseth and Gabbard.
Pray that it continues. Pray that after Presidents term is over our country continues on the correct path.
We boarded a cruise ship in Iceland.
The shore staff were mostly local youth.
This is the way
“There are resorts and venues operating in the USA which never would have been built without a foundation of foreign cheap labor to service them. Take that cheap labor force out of the economy and things will significantly change. This outcome is both predictable and necessary to reset the labor market.”
There.
Fixed it for you.
Slavery 2.0 while at the same time no amendment to the 14th amendment they’re been trying to push since 2015 or before.
I once had a job serving cocktails . Then I became a bartender at the same place. People told me this was a bar was a safe place for the police, the spooks or spies to go. I made dear friends there.
One was Korean, another of Japanese descent, and I think a woman from Mexico (all leagal) . But back in the 70’s there were times when there were “raids” by Immigration enforcement of some kind and the busboy’s ran to get away.
It’s goimg to be interesting to see what happens to our country when the newfound slaves are deported.
Interesting. I live in NE Italy. Today I ran across an advert for nurses in the Udine area. 15K euros per year. 17400 USD!! Much of the commentary revolved around the typical applicant will likely be from Ghana or some other country where this is a princely sum. Good luck living on such a wage. These are typical wages in this area, not only in the healthcare sector.
We are cattle to those gutting western Christian civilizations. To them we deserve only the basic skills of veterinary assistants.
America’s heathcare is on the same trajectory.
Good…
Pardon me, would you happen to have any grey poupon? I’m sorry old chap, no I don’t. Juan and Samir got deported. 🤷♂️ 😏
America First!
Seems as though the US government was using a business model based on the, ‘false economy of keeping an old jalopy running’. The money that the businesses were saving, using illegal workers, was balanced by the money lost to the fraud that they were allowed to conduct, and the only people who really benefited were the mechanics and the garage owner.
There’s another element to this that I’ve personally observed. Certain people like being served, or managing, people who make up the majority of the current ethnic composition of immigrants. I witnessed this in the NHS recently, where the hospital seemed to be a microcosm of the old imperial model. Black, Afro-Carribean, Asian, doing the front end jobs, managed by Indians and Chinese, and all serving a minority of whites.
Finally, the uncomfortable truth. This business model has been accepted and facilitated by the majority of the populations of the country’s whose citizens are now experiencing the downside of letting cost be the chief bench mark for hiring. This is especially true in the service sector, where customers have allowed a steady decline without complaining, either directly to the establishment, or politicians.
Same with most things, we are responsible for this and that realisation is sometimes difficult to accept. Another reason why certain sections of society have a hatred of MAGA-style movements, that ask uncomfortable questions about complicity and the even more uncomfortable ones about a personal response.
MAGA is really, for me, the political embodiment of the teachings in the Gospels, regarding its emphasis on action over excuses, and a constant drive for spiritual self improvement, by accepting the challenging and difficult path, instead of the ‘primrose’ one.
Oh, and the above is another reason, if they needed one, for the hatred of MAGA and its Christian foundations.
One thing however….Wages have recently increased too much, too fast wherein a burger flipper in MacDonalds, or an employee of Walmart now makes a min. wage in the $20-25.00 dollar range. For us old farts who worked in the economy all their life before this, our pensions do not reflect todays labor rate…It’s tough going living in todays reality on yesterday’s living wages.
Gonna be a long tears and screaming…
The 3rd world invasion is all part of the destruction of the USA.
When the Immigration Act of 1965 was passed and then metastasized with Simpson/Mazzoli in 1986 was passed and sadly signed by President Reagan, the flood gates were opened. Mixed in with NAFTA in 1994 the destruction of the American middle class was complete.
These demons have been dissembling manufacturing in the USA since the fake Indian cried in the river and the Rockefeller’s opened China. We were told that “we would be the brains the ideas and industry, creating things, factory workers would move into the service industry…and voila, we have this stinking mess.
Deport them all, cut your own grass.
It’s almost like there’s a plan spanning centuries.
Gregory Bovino, federal border patrol whistleblower, says that there are 107 million illegal immigrants in the US. Yes, that’s 107 million. We’ve only deported 2 million since second Trump administration began. So that’s 105 million left. And that the feds are not doing enough to get them out.
I think Sundance just highlighted why this is the case.
This is what I voted for!
The school districts in areas of massive illegal immigration residence will have many fewer students and layoffs of teachers will happen because of fewer students.
Unions like teachers unions and SEIU will be biggly unhappy.
Wonder what will happen to cities like Las Vegas amd the hotel industry there.
Unfortunately, there is also another business model at work against us.
Many of the illegal workers were smuggled in, and repeatedly went back and forth by paying the cartels, who conducted the vast enterprise of human trafficking.
On top of that, there is a huge proliferation of phony ID’s based on supply and demand. So you have illegals with forged or stolen documents that pass as correct (stolen SS numbers, loose DMV policies, etc.)…another business.
I work in the Southeast where building, development, and labor are predominantly Hispanic. Some of the crews lost members to ICE enforcement and many have fully “legal teams” at work. It is (practically speaking) impossible to know who is legal, since they all sign paperwork that they are in compliance. If someone has been contributing to SS and has a good ID, there is not a system to easily screen them. They get DMV ID’s in NC with no problem. (And there are corrupt folks in the DMV who have their own business model.
Notice all the layers of subterranean cash flow, and greased wheels of their commerce.
BTW, the Emergency Rooms of the large hospital orgs are packed with illegal folks (all nations, all kinds) that use them as their medical care, because they have no doctor. (Another incentive, since they in our neck of the woods they are mostly non-profits and the state contributes to the underwriting).
Other than that, everything is perfectly honest and open to scrutiny!!!
If they are a legal citizen they get a certificate of citizenship.
Citizens have birth certificates it’s really not impossible to prove.
It may take an extra step in the hiring process but it would be much more beneficial than hiring someone
and then find out they’re illegal.
Oh well….it is what it is and I say ON WITH IT!
Somehow I just can’t work up any tears over this……the rich elites which will obviously be the first to feel the pain…and have it coming to them…….pucker up…..stuck ups!
As for all the rest…….it must be done!
I have a feeling it is the rich, the elites, those who many times think they are above us and the law who will feel this the most and cry the most because they built their house on these sands and thrive on the backs of others.
Right, it was merely an “oversight” that this exclusive club was staffed by underpaid illegal immigrants.
