Representative Scott Perry, R-Penn., appears with Maria Baritomo to discuss his experience with the FBI after agents confiscated his cell phone. Additionally, Mr Perry discusses the Biden administration’s handling of national security issues including China, Iran and the U.S-Mexico border. {Direct Youtube Link}
.
Intimidation, pure & simple.
I understand the phrase, but nothing “pure” about this.
Was there a warrant for the FBI to confiscate his phone?
Perry is my Congressman. In the latter part of last week there was news floating around locally that the FBI did have a warrant, and I have it on good authority that Perry would not have turned over his cell to the agents without a warrant.
The cell was returned to the Congressman a day after the event.
This is blatant intimidation of an elected official by a bunch of agency employees: an agency that went rogue a long time ago..
Even if they had a warrant it means nothing with that corrupt bunch.
They just teach in their Rolodex for an Epstein compromised Judge and give the order to sign the warrant or else.
I’m sure there was. They’ve been grabbing everybody’s phone lately… it’s what they do…
I don’t think the FBI found anything. They are subpoenaing Mar a Lago’s security camera footage for the last 60 days. I guess they speculate someone was moving boxes around because how is it possible to raid a former President’s home and have nothing to show for it?
How embarrassing! How humiliating! How delightful!
https://redstate.com/bonchie/2022/08/14/new-media-conspiracy-drops-surrounding-trump-raid-this-time-about-surveillance-footage-n611995
My understanding about the 60 days of surveillance tapes comes from the initial reports of the June 3rd visit by feds. They asked for 60 days of the tapes outside the storage area, which is only 6×10 on that day.
I have since seen articles suggesting they have subpoenaed the raid video. Not sure if this is true?
I read A LOT and I read too fast sometimes, lol
I would have had the security server “repaired”
Hillary style.
Eric Trump said when they opened the safe, it was empty.
Yes, a part of me thinks they WERE looking for something specific, and they didn’t FIND it.
They have no right to that video. Not the 60 days nor the day of the raid. They had a warrant- they served it. They come up empty. And now they want to fish further with no probable cause.
Now, I do understand that everything I just wrote above only happens in a country where the federal police force actually follows and enforces the law.
I bet you are right about that video. Plus, if the FBI planted anything they must be on camera doing it? It also is an embarrassing look to be going through Melania’s stuff and personal things when looking for documents.
I am sure the FBI does not like wondering what Trump has on them. There is no reason to think they behaved properly on this raid.
The democrats have TDS judges waiting in line to sign warrants.
He is not a judge; he is a magistrate. He was a lawyer for Epstein. He granted the FBI two weeks in the warrant.
They waited until he was in the rotation, so they could get him.
I suspect they don’t want the video of FBI agents rummaging through Melania’s wardrobe released.
Mike Moore, Tomas Payne Podcast, has reported that 60 boxes were taken and Trump’s lawyers are incompetent in turning over the CCT tapes. He has been reporting for almost a week that the Trump transition team was negotiating with the Saudis concerning nuclear technology. This is only supposed to be done by congress and the DoE, not Kushner and the transition team.
Considering the transition team’s relationship with Gini Energy, if Moore’s reporting holds true this is very serious. The Gini Energy board is a snake pit that includes Bill Richardson, Dick Cheney, and Rupert Murdock et al.
Moore has excellent sources and I cannot think of a time in which he has been wrong. I agree that Trumps lawyers are not the best. Just look at the election debacle. Total joke.
It will be interesting to watch this play out. In the meantime we all need to vote and focus upon the fight now.
Oh, but it is ok for the Biden regime to negotiate with Iran about their nuclear program? I find it difficult to believe that a President does not have the authority and clearance to negotiate in this way, especially when Iran is getting the lovey dovey treatment from Biden.
I totally agree, it is an outrage. A big huge double standard outrage.
The President is the only office given foreign policy responsibility in the Constitution, minus Congress’s responsibility to ratify treaties negotiated by the Executive.
“This is only supposed to be done by congress and the DoE, not Kushner and the transition team.”
That’s interesting because Articles 1 and 2 of the Constitution say something different. The only branch of government that has foreign policy responsibility is the Executive branch. The only thing Congress has to do with foreign policy- is the ratification of treaties made on behalf of the Executive branch.
It’s right there on that old parchment paper in black and aged white.
I believe this document might help. It explains the framework in which Payne guys are reporting. As discussed in the PDF, nowhere is mentioned transition teams. It does, however, discuss the structure in which the US has agreed to operate since The Atomic Energy Act of 1954 and explains said act which is US law.

Sorry, but that simply is not correct.
“Congress shall have the power …
To regulate commerce with foreign nations
To establish a uniform rule of naturalization
To define and punish piracies and felonies committed on the high seas, and offenses against the law of nations
To declare war, grant letters of marque and reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water”
Prediction: multiple, major Islamic Terrorist attacks (plural) within the next ten years. Not only are we letting ’em in through the “Southern Border” (I think they call it)… we’re putting ’em on planes and flying ’em in…
Good job, fellas.
Your comment has made me think about the Iranian assassins in the news this week but I won’t even say anything other than wouldn’t it be a win/win for the Deep State?
Maria hurts my ears. I am sorry Rep Perry and his family had to go through this targeted hit.
Where did the shrieking voice come from?
Dykahhh Heights, Brooklyn.
You’d think she could afford a speech therapist to lose the pathological street accent.
I noticed that as well. Her voice is harsh and grating. I can’t listen to Jeanine Pirro for that same reason.
She used to be nice to look at til she got her lips puffed up
Just said the same thing… but she is good and does ask the right questions (sometimes)…
He was likely targeted as the head of the House Freedom Caucus. It was a reminder to other Republican Congressmen, stay in your lane or we’ll do to you what we’ve done to Trump.
Ten years ago, it would have been inconceivable. Now it’s just another day for our lawless government agencies.
“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” ~ Thomas Jefferson ( https://www.answers.com/Q/Who_said_people_should_not_fear_the_government_government_should_fear_the_people )
I assume they already illegally wiretapped him and this was done just to hide that fact.
“Revered” the FBI? Jesus.
Federal
Bullies
Incorporated
Anyone in Trumps circle should have deleted their phones or got new.
Just like Weissman and crew.
I bet Trump does not use email or discuss anything personal on a phone.
He needs to buy a new phone and copy nothing from his old phone that may be stored in the cloud. Who knows what spyware they loaded on it. He has staff that can retype his contacts.
I would even change carriers.
Carrier? I’d switch to a gas station smartphone- you can buy the same models without any plan.

Note to FBI agents and Merrick Garland: Our flag is the Battle of Bennington Flag, commemorating the first victory in the American War for Independence. It is not the Betsy Ross Flag.
Laurie Thomas Vass, CLP News Network, August 15, 2022.
In her recent article on the FBI Mar-a-Lago raid, Inez Stepman speculates that the events of the week may be marked as the “end of the American republic.”
She thinks that the next phase of politics will be a period of partisan tit for tat between Democrats and Republicans. [The Mar-A-Lago Raid Could Mark The End Of The Republic, The Federalist, August 11, 2022].
After the tit for tat phase is over, Stepman thinks citizens may be in for a civil war.
She writes,
“It’s hard to see any other way forward from here that doesn’t end in civil war, street violence, or the rise of an American Caesar.” [SHTF].
We disagree with Stepman on all three counts. First, Madison’s representative republic ended on the night of November 3, 2020, not on August 8, 2022. The Mar-a-Lago raid is just the Marxist police state flexing its muscles over the political opposition.
Second, there is not going to be any tit for tat because the Republicans do not have any balls to engage in tit for tat. Tim Scott thinks the best idea is to let the FBI raid play out.
We began warning about the feckless, cowardly Republicans back in 2017, after gaining our impression of how Establishment Republican leaders treated Trump. [The Restoration of the American Natural Rights Republic: Correcting the Economic Consequences of the Republican Party Abdication of Natural Rights and Individual Liberty, Laurie Thomas Vass, Gabby Press, 2017].
We wrote then,
“With the advent of a global socialist ideology in the Democrat Party, the nation has entered into new unchartered territory. Madison’s constitutional arrangement was designed to pit the elite special financial interests in one political social class against the non-elites in the other party. He made the constitutional rules unbalanced and unfair, to benefit the financial elites. The socialists are poised and positioned to obtain the levers of power that had been reserved for the financial elites. At the same moment in history that the Democrats abandoned their allegiance to the middle class, the Republicans morphed into a global corporatist party, which no longer defends American sovereignty.”

The same people couldn’t crack a terrorist phone are now checking phones DEFUND FED JUSTICE
Forget legalities… legalities will be shrinked-fit to suit their needs. The DOJ will deliver legalities on demand.
Perry is new to me but I admire his forthright speech in this interview. I wonder that the FBI thinks anyone would use their phones to discuss private or strategic political situations in this day and age. Everyone knows phones and computers are not secure?
Edward Snowden showed us what CIA was doing and now the FBI is abusing it. Congressman Perry is right when he says this is about intimidation.
Just like the fence around the Capital and the imprisonment of J6 people for trespassing offenses, these pols want us scared to assemble.
As far as Iran goes, the politicians pushing this nuclear deal must stand to make a fortune in Iran. They don’t care about assassination threats, at least until they become a target, when money is on the line.
Maria must know after the deals we’ve seen these people make in Ukraine for Hunter, Paul Pelosi and I believe Romney’s son, that corruption is at the core of everything.
Time for Freedom Caucus – Republicans in general – to learn the ins-and-outs of using burner phones.
Exactly who was paid by CHY-na on our strategic petroleum “sale” to them? We need to follow the money on that one!
