The former president endorsed Gibbs, a former software developer who served in the Trump administration as an acting assistant secretary in the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Trump was forced to pick 1 of 3 RNC choices. They were threatening to steal his nomination if he didn’t. That’s when he had to bring on Manafort, an old time R grifter, to negotiate with these snakes. Any of the 3 would have screwed him, Pence was chosen.
Manafort was suggested to Trump to organize and round up presidential delegates from state to state, recommended by Roger Stone. It was all well recounted here by SD. It was not the RNC recommending him. And Manafort did a good job. (Which was why TPTB really were obsessed with putting him in prison for a LONG time).
They could not “steal” his nomination, it is determined by delegates pledged for him at the convention (which is why Manafort was so important).
Pence did not run in 2016. He endorsed Cruz (weakly). Smart move on the Establishment’s part, just like Bush in 1988. They expected Trump to be impeached (as he was twice) and voila “President” Pence who makes Caspar Milquetoast look like Godzilla except behind the scenes digging tunnels under the president, the same job VP Bush had in 1980.
IMESHO, the first consideration is for the RNC to get a new chairperson as soon as possible. The RNC should have been on top of the voting fraud investigations from Day 1. The winning ticket in 2024 is:

The Republican vote it would take for them to win will be sadly diminished by the people who, like me, would absolutely NOT even consider voting for one of the impeachers. This is also my stance. The Rino disease coagulates the process. When the nose is held, and they are voted back in, you have a repeat problem in the next election. Clean them out and give yourself a chance the next time around without the block in the way.

Washington has gone to the ridiculous jungle primary system which means that it usually ends up being one Democrat and one Republican advancing to the general, even if the vote totals for all the Republicans in the district far out number the votes received by the lone Democrat in the primaries. Both in the third and fourth districts, massive votes were peeled off from the Trump endorsed candidate by splitters who also “claimed ” to be MAGA conservatives but who, in reality, simply ended up handing the win to the RINO incumbent.
Heidi St John, in the Third District, is a fairly well-known Christian political commentator, who may have had good intentions in the beginning, but whose stubborn refusal to step aside after president Trump endorsed Joe Kent, proved that her ego was the driving factor in her decision making process.

VM, It was also quite aggravating that Loren Culp, who was PDJT’s endorsed candidate in the 4th district, did absolutely NO campaigning, no yard signs, no mailings, no commercials. It is surprising he got as many votes as he did. Dan Newhouse didn’t do anything either, except a mailing, but he’s got incumbent recognition for the low info voters. There were two main splitter candidates here, Sesslor and Klippert. Any one of the three would have been fine, but they just cancelled each other out and handed it to Newhouse. Our Washington Republican party is useless!

I read that they are now hand-counting early ballots that people dropped off at the polling places. There is signature matching and other verification so it takes time.

The WHOLE justification for going to machines for elections, was to avoid the confusion of Bush v Gore.
If the machines clearly DO NOT do this, but actually make it worse, OBVIOUSLY they aren’t ‘solving’ the problem.
This argument alone is sufficient to toss the machines.
Yes, if a State tosses the machines, they MAY also not qualify for Federal funds, allocated to PAY for the machines,…however.
Firstly, a close examination of the actual funding legislation may reveal it is full of flowery retoric about “improving elections” without specifying machines, and States MAY be able to argue, in Court if neccesary, that they are entitled to the $, to improve, streamline and modernise their elections systems, even if they go to hand counting,…for instance installing tv cameras covering every inch of the counting centers, and livestreaming so all can see, would be a ‘modernisation’ and an improvement.
Secondly, even if they “lose” the Federal funding, it is far LESS expensive to conduct a hand count election, compared to a machine count.
And the arguement that machines are quicker is obviously not true.
The arguement is already won, we just need to advance it, as there is NO effective counter.
That’s crazy talk.
Next you’ll probably be arguing that vaccines that don’t prevent one from getting the disease and increase the likelihood of death when you do get the disease, shouldn’t be taken.

Washington 4 – Newhouse 27.3%, Culp 22% – and five other GOPe splitters.
Neither race is finally over, as count is absurdly slow, but great example of the splitter technique. MAGA voters need to grow up as well – does not do any good to vote for the favored candidate that has no shot.

Hate to bring bad news, but Tudor Dixon is a Devos family favorite, and they funded Meijer too. Trump endorsed Dixon late, but this was tactical, I believe. Gibbs is solid for Michigan though, even though the Uniparty is still powerful here.

Just within the past week, I have been slammed by emails from Ronna McD wanting donations for the GOP. I know these emails are robotic but who is the genius who thinks Ronna McD’s name on an email will inspire anyone to give money? They did nothing to help DJT when the DEMS stole the 2020 election. I will never forgive or forget that.
This is a race I was watching the counting of. At first, it looked like the Uniparty’s cheating was going to be enough to overcome the voters. But the voters prevailed.
For those who didn’t see my post in the election thread … this morning I saw the opening of Good Morning America. They reported on primary results, and for MI-03 they focused on Meijer and although they mentioned Gibbs’ name they only showed Meijer’s picture. How weird is that?
And then apparently later in the show they did more in-depth reporting. Watch the video at the link below, starting at 1:03. Notice that once again the focus is entirely on Meijer, and this time they didn’t even mention Gibbs at all let alone show his picture. Gibbs is referred to as “a challenger”!
