It was not long ago when we noted the absence of food will change things. While Dutch farmers are fighting the government and trying to keep producing food, in Sri Lanka the shortages of food and fuel have reached a boiling point. Angry citizens have taken control of the presidential palace, set fire to the Prime Minister’s house, and overwhelmed government offices.
Fearing for his life, “Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said he would resign after just two months in office after protesters stormed and occupied the president’s residence and office amid public anger over the country’s deepening sovereign-debt crisis.” (WSJ link)
The U.S. State Department and the ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung, are asking for protestors to remain peaceful as if their hunger is ‘transitory’. However, videos from the country highlight the futility of platitudes amid tens of thousands of angry citizens who are desperate. It is a hot mess that’s likely to surface in other nations quickly.
(Via WSJ) – Braving tear gas and water cannons in the capital, Colombo, protesters—many waving the national flag and wearing helmets—also entered the president’s office on Saturday, in one of the largest antigovernment demonstrations in the country this year.
Television news footage showed large crowds overrunning security barricades before breaching the official residence of President Rajapaksa. Some were later seen taking a dip in the compound’s swimming pool. Videos purportedly filmed by protesters and shared widely on social media showed scores of men rifling through drawers, sitting in chairs and lounging on a four-poster bed inside a bedroom of the residence. One man was shown doing bicep curls in a gym. (more)

The crisis had been building for weeks as the protesting crowds had continued to get larger.
As noted by the Wall Street Journal report, “responding to calls by protest organizers to congregate in Colombo for mass demonstrations this weekend, Sri Lankans from far and wide improvised around acute fuel shortages by piling into semitrailer trucks, trains and overcrowded buses to reach the capital. Some walked miles to join the demonstrations.”
.
This next video shows how large the crowd was just before they stormed the buildings.
.
There is no way to stop a crowd of this size. I’m not sure how many people are in/around that compound, but it looks like hundreds of thousands.

Violence is not an answer. If you are going to protest, please do so peacefully. And reminding military & police to grant peaceful protesters the space and security to do so. Chaos & force will not fix the economy or bring the political stability that Sri Lankans need right now.

Where’s Liz Cheyney.
No worries for the government, Liz Cheyney is on her way to support it in a hearing.
They are anxious to have their televised hearings next week, I heard today.
She and her sister Lyndsey Graham are putting together a military “care package”.
All problems are only solved when a US Military contractor is present.
“When a military contractor is present – – AND doling out USA Money”. There, I fixed it for you! biden must be printing funny money in the basement when he hides down there, otherwise where is America getting all this “free money” he keeps talking about *or whispering about!!
Could you imagine if ALL of western America stood up and started heading en masse for WADC??? That would be a sight to behold. biden will have to find somewhere else to hide other than his basement at that point. It’s gonna happen, too. Not too far off if we keep getting pushed the same way the Sri Lankans did.
And of course, Lindsay will pen the obligatory strongly worded letter.
a military care package for the corrupt regime that the people want to leave?
Who cares? I hope she is sleeping off a couple bottles of Ketel One and wakes up with a hangover.
a really, really bad hangover
NOT in Wyoming.
More interested in human rights and “democracy” for Uganda, I suspect.
“So you want to be a rock superstar?
And live large
A big house. Five cars, You’re in charge.
Comin’ up in the world.
Don’t trust nobody got to look over your shoulder constantly”–Cypress Hill
I just want to grow vegetables, go fishing and let my dogs chase a wild hog or two.
That’s what most of us want, but biden aims to take those simple rights away from us and stuff us all into an electric car we can’t afford to use and into apartment buildings like rats in a trap. Something is terribly wrong with that man and his “administration”. They are cyborgs or something not human. I know his cabinet is not human just look at ’em. They’re stupidly robotic!
And “Dr. Jill” is such a mess, letting her husband go out there obviously going downhill, fast – she doesn’t care!
It’s her revenge?
Transhumans? I think you might be onto something.. All those WEF robots unleashed.. We really need to find that Wizard behind the red curtain!
I have to share everything I eat, I have a dog:-))))
“The line is drawn
The curse is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin’
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’.”
The people here (West) in the mass populace do not believe for a moment this is possible. “We are too smart, we are too advanced, and my fav, we are too rich.”
Bastards are tempting fate lol.
And the media refuses to cover any of it because Sri Lanka went full green new deal/ WEF.
Played golf with the guys today.
Two foursomes.
I brought up Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
Not one of them had any idea what I was talking about.
These guys are regular Joes, families, jobs, educated, a couple have their own businesses.
I hope I was able to open the eyes of at least one of them, but what a sad state of affairs.
This is our biggest challenge. Many are still sleep walking. They think things are back to normal.
They will continue “sleep walking” until they personally feel pain.
It’s coming, I can feel it.
Reading today about gold and gold derivatives/ paper gold and a mysterious night flight out of Ukraine. And thinking if everyone who owns paper gold in some entity’s vault were to ask for the physical gold to be shipped to their home it would start a cascade to the implosion of the dollar.
Then we would look just like these people in Sri Lanka!!
Most ‘paper’ gold is not backed by physical metal. So while I think you are correct, it’s not gonna be paper gold that light the fuse.
Well Rubles and physical gold for oil and nat gas is gonna cause a run on gold. I just want to push it to happen so that the pain Fangdog speaks about comes sooner than later. A Lehman brothers kind of collapse that can’t be stopped.
I would rather cause the effect than let TPTB cause it and try to explain it away. If the implosion of the petro dollar comes before the CBDC it will be riots in the streets and like Sri Lanka those in charge will be driven out or pay the price.
Lehman collapse? Every military pension, 401K, and Social Security Benefit will be gone. All of it! That is Lehman x 10,000.
You better be fully versed with 2A, able to use 2A, and have plenty of freedom seeds. You also need a stocked pantry, full first aid kit, and a gallon of water for each member in your house per day for two years, and while you are chowing through that. Plant a vegetable garden, defend it, and dig a well. Order yourself a Fresnel lens as big as you can afford for cooking and boiling water. Good luck, because what is about to happen has never ever been seen before, and it was all planned.
Started 2 years ago and have most of what I need. I’m in Fl. so that helps. I know my neighbors and am armed.
My question to you is do you want us to start it or should we let them?
They already started when Obama was in the White House. They didn’t cheat enough for Hilary. Cheated too much for Biden, and made Trump’s life hell in between. There is no coming back from what is happening, and I am curious at the lack of concern for the Iran/Russia/Chinese military build up in the Caribbean.
https://freebeacon.com/national-security/iran-russia-china-to-run-war-drills-in-latin-america/
Yep, I saw that. Nicaragua I believe and read that they were gonna give em Iskanders.
You might enjoy Monkeywerx sitreps? Lots of interesting stuff over on that site. Skip the intro and go right to the meat 1 minute in.
When I say started I am referring to the match that lights the fire now.
They will keep following their plan , we need to break up that plan.
Yes, weakness brings evil to our shores.
I’d rather get it over with now. I have small children and rather it be me fighting than them.
Yep, I’m with you Miya.
Those pensions and benefits won’t be gone , you just won’t have access to them. Frozen accounts. It will start on a Friday with banks ordered to be closed by the Gov. and you will get rationed money, $20 a day when the ATMs run out quickly.
Subsistence living until the gov. sets up the rules for the CBDC. Thats when you’ll be cheated out of your pensions and benefits. But they’ll do it in stages and ease us into CBDC.
It will all be sucked into debt owed as we sink into WW111.
The empire is dying because of the greed, and laziness of those who rule.
This is a cold approach, but its an honest one.
Freedom seeds, love it.
At least you can purify water with physical silver. Freedom seeds will be the only currency, those and white lightening.
JP Morgan and Citi are 90% of the derivative gold market. See ZeroHedge. Don’t know why but somehow the rules for recording gold holdings got changed and JP Morgan went from $28 bilion in Dec. 2021 to $330 billion in March 2022.
That’s just JP Morgan’s books!!
And you and I both know that they don’t have that physical gold in a vault somewhere. It’s derivatives, bets on bets on bets, gambling with nothing to back it up with. Not even paper money. The FED would have to step in and print more money causing even more inflation when they are trying to tighten right now.
We need a run on the banks right now to start the pain and the real inssurrecttion against well you know.
If they bust the petro dollar it will be in little gradual stages and into the CBDC before people wake up to whats happening.
You’re right. It will be food and fuel shortages that will start the conflagration. Most especially the lack of food this winter moving into spring.
All preppers are stacked and stocked to the max.
Sadly, you are correct FD.
Most of them don’t even understand that anything is wrong in America because they don’t pay attention. They simply don’t care about “politics” and they think if they don’t pay attention it won’t affect them. People are plainly ignorant, on purpose. They believe ol’ joe will “fix” things. Well, there was nothing to fix. If he had just left everything alone after he cheated his way into office, things would still be pretty decent even now. But he messed up everything when he signed on those EO’s he didn’t understand the very first day. And many now realize he didn’t understand what he was really doing to this country then or now. He’s kind of an imbecile.
Grandmother called them ostrich dodos. “Head in the sand all the way to extinction.”
These people cause me the most concern.
Most folks look at me like I am speaking Vietnamese when I rattle off “Weapons Grade Enlightenment” gleaned from CTH. Everyone asks how I know all this or that.
CR, I have often recommended The Saker as a site to consult for news about the Ukraine which is more honest than anything we will ever read in this censored country.
Last night I checked in on it. It was offline.
I have just revisited it. It is offline.
Very very interesting and disappointing…and more than concerning.
Yes Betsy, thesaker.is was under attack for months according to them. They asked for help and I believe worked around it by asking patrons to do away with the http. I was able to go to the 7/7 posting redirected to the wayback page of the saker on that date.
I have not tried their new instructions.
Thanks for that, mark. I use a good old British phrase…what I don’t know, I make up. Which I have been doing. Praying for the best for them. They really are a very good source of information.
Unnerving, Bet. I pray for all Resistance Guerilla Media of Good Will.
A good word, unnerving. Exactly how I felt. I’ll add my prayers to yours, my friend.
Hi Bet. I tried to pull up The Saker web site just now. No go. Still off-line. Wondering what happened and how long it will be down…
Thanks, Joe!! It’s is a mystery, no? And yet not, given that by its sudden disappearance there seems to be a validation of its truthfulness.
Ithad become an essential site for me to visit. Hoping we’ll see it up and running soon, my friend.
The Saker was the victim of sophisticated DOS attacks. The website put out a plea for help to anyone with technical skills to get them back up. Pls volunteer to help if you have the skills. Until they are back up there are other excellent sites such as southfront.org and on YouTube search for “military summary channel,” the “go to” site for military daily reports. Also on YouTube check out “Duran Report “ and “The New Atlas.” All excellent, no propaganda — only unfiltered facts and thoughtful analysis. And again, if you can help the Saker website, pls do.
Thank you, Aleks. Will check out the sites you recommend.
I assume they all have “smart” phones?
Most “phone junkies” are the most disconnected of all. Ditch the mind control device! It will be painful at first depending on your level of dependence. I dare all of yall to do it.
When the lines go down, they won’t be able to use those damned finger-sliding phones anyway. Those things were invented to be a distraction, and that’s exactly what they’ve done, same as the computer if you’re on it 24/7. most people that I know don’t ever turn their phones off, not even at night. It’s sad the level of dependency on those things. I saw nothing wrong with a wall phone. If no one was home, they had to call back. So what? We were all much better off being just slightly disconnected from each other.
I miss the 80’s and 90’s. Badly.
The New World Order went into high gear in the 80’s and 90’s. Ignorance may have been bliss back then, but now we are paying the piper.
I know.
Spoken like a true Southerner including the proper term of all y’all.
And then there is even more “proper” term… ALL y’all! Right, Joan?
Those are your typical american voters. Nothing but a complete crash will wake them up and then it’s too late.
Wow, that level of ignorance, is truly disgusting!
Less than 25% of Americans have a passport. About as many have never seen the ocean. Twice as many know about the crises we are facing and worry deeply about the supply chain, gas prices, food shortage, baby formula debacle, idiot in the WH screwing things up on a daily basis. The Netherlands and Sri Lanka are blips on a map. Nothing more.
Same with me, All To Much, but it was with my hairdresser and a daughter-in-law. Good people, both, but busy working hard and focused on their own lives….Most of the country is like this, I believe.
This is not surprising to me in the least. My experience as an American who lived abroad for two decades and who came into regular contact with Americans taught me how truly ignorant of the world Americans in general are.
And I say this as one of those ignorant Americans until I did live abroad.
I have a very good degree from a major university. But I can truthfully say my education didn’t start until at the age of 36 I left these shores and received two decades of the best education one can get. I am so grateful for having had that opportunity.
I used to travel for work, USA, Canada, and Central America, and yes that is how you get educated.
It absolutely is the most intense and valuable education one can possible get. Agree.
I am Scots born and now citizen of Canada that is ever so grateful to have the U.S. as a neighbour.
Yet the lack of world knowledge of our neighbours south of the “49” is quite something.
There was a time where it may not have mattered. A time when the U.S. was omnipotent.
As youngsters in Scotland we came in contact with many American youth. Youths whose parents were working in the North Sea oil fields.
Or as was the case just outside our town, at a large U.S. military base.
The U.S. was in our young minds utopia.
That is no longer the case, and as much as one wishes it to be different.
Our world has changed very quickly.
Many of us here at the CTH are prepared.
We are minimizing debt, hoarding cash, other hard assets.
Stocking up on food etc.
The majority have no idea what BRIC is or that Saudis, and Argentina wishes to join.
Few understand the immense capabilities of the Russian people and just how vulnerable the overstretched woke U.S. military is.
Or understand the term Uniparty.
Sorry to go on, but I have been around a few sheep today and found it quite frustrating.
Thanks again to anyone that has made suggestions as to my reading of the Bible.
A fellowship that is responsible for turning my life around over thirty years ago is largely based on it.
Yet I had until recently never read a Bible.
I now find reading a little before bed is comforting.
Cheers!
I don’t comment often. Just love sifting through so many great “friends” here that I have never met and reading the educated comments. You, Dekester, are one of my favorites. When you post, I listen. Tonight is no different. Which reminds me to suggest Psalm 52 to you. Very comforting! All the best.
Thank you!
I just finished reading 52, I particularly enjoyed #7.
Coincidentally ( or maybe not) the number of our family house in Scotland was 52 🤔
Cheers!
No coincidences…none.
Always keep in mind that USA is your best friend whether you like it or not.
Maybe, but to be very honest.
The ruling Junta in Washington at the minute would have me silenced.
Insane, but as a male of European ancestry I feel more comfortable with Putin and Russia than team Obama and the truly insane members of his third cabinet.
That said, we have the same issue here in Canada.
Neil Oliver nailed it in this week’s monologue.
Cheers!
Sorry, I should have said the American people.
Both of our governments are FUBAR.
At the Can/U.S. border a few minutes from our home is beautiful arch.
Written across the top is “ children of a common mother” if I remember correctly.
Cheers, and all the best!
Dekester, thank you for your wonderful truth filled post. We really are in a terrible place all right, and ignorance doesn’t help. I find myself shocked by the extent of it, though I really shouldn’t be.
Fellowship is a most appropriate word for all of us here. It really is the strong core of this Tree. Glad you’re in it.Blessings, my friend.
I have given up trying to “educate” the masses, at least in my personal life. But the one thing that resonates with people is religion. Even those who oppose God have strong feelings, which to me indicates interest, whether they realize it or not.
If nothing else, I always advise people who seem utterly lost and confused that NOW is the time to get themselves right with God. Simply ask (pray) for His help and His guidance.
Doing just this one thing has seen me through every obstacle in my life and presented me with many blessings, for which I am truly grateful.
Nothing else really matters now, as we approach the point of no return.
You are right, Judith. I have never tried overtly to educate any of the masses, except perhaps by saying something like “Didn’t you find (recent news or topic) fascinating?” Then comes the quizzical look, the question about what happened…one person at a time. That’s it. No one can fix mass ignorance. No one can do another’s homework or inspire that curiosity which is so necessary for learning.
“But God…” as a missing and much loved friend said on the Open Thread long ago. I do believe that’s a message we should never give up on…with anyone. I know many who have heard that message, and I pray many more will. Blessings to you, Judith.
So one third of my life was in Asia before I was sophomore in high school.
The best education ever.
First lesson, people of European ancestry are a minority upon this Earth.
Second, the USA is the last best hope for man.
I also have a university degree, but the most important things I have learned can’t be learned there.
I agree and understand that all right. I have said often that if someone said to me I could have my diploma or my 20 years abroad, but not both, I’d ask them to give me a match and I’d torch that expensive diploma in a heartbeat.
I spent a lot of time in the Philippines and got to visit Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan when I was an anchor planker (Navy). I took a PACE class(Program for Afloat College Education) when I was doing sea duty. It was a Criminal Justice class and I had no clue that I would end up with a Bachelor’s degree in that field many years later.
The real education came when I was a vocational counselor at a Job Corps center. That was an eye opener.
Now I work in a nursing home after taking classes and getting licensed at a vocational trade school. Long Term Care. And I’m ok with that.
Joe, I salute you, sir. My son was in the Navy as well.
You are clearly a people person (a rarer thing than most realize), or you most likely wouldn’t be doing what you are now…which is more valuable a profession than any I could name for those who desperately need such a skill. What a gift you must be for the residents in that home. A man with compassion, a thing so much needed but absent in so many today.
You are where God placed you, as are we all. Learning in a classroom of course has its valuable place. Of course it does.
But there is so much more which only experience can teach. We can learn from every person we meet if only we are willing to do so. For me, and I expect you, those sorts of lessons remain with us a lot longer.
Let’s be realistic here. Most average citizens of any country don’t pay attention to international politics. None of this is just American, it’s worldwide. I think the American situation is a bit more unique because we are the Bigfoot in every room. What our government does matters to most, wrongly I believe but here we are.
Do you think the average Sri Lankan knows much about the WEF, Schaub/Davos, and the WHO being owned by China and Bill Gates.? Do you think they know they are in such debt to China? I don’t think so and a perusal of their “news” online reflects that.
If its not on the MSM, its just not true!
SAme with the Yellow Vest protests.
You are exactly right, in fact, they didn’t hesitate to bow down to Klause and company and go full-blown green.
And all our Ambassador can do is call it … “transitory” !? What’s with the Bidinh Cabal and the word “transitory”? I don’t recall anyone in Congress voting to make us all “transition” into the Green New Deal? And now … even our Ambassador to Sri Lanka is exporting the Green New Deal ? I don’t recall the “Democratic” vote on any of this?
That is where we should be protesting: rings of thousands of us around the networks in NYC.
REPORT THE NEWS, YOU ASSHOLES. Or do your employees even know what’s happening to the Dutch. Or to Sri Lankans?
Seriously, I think the best bet to get news out is to wrangle with the networks. Cause major traffic jams in front of their towers. That is where the 500k that stood listening to Trump is DC would have a greater effect.
“YOU’RE HACKS!”
CNN will ignore it not because of the optics, but because they don’t have a newsreader who can pronounce that cat’s name.
To be perfectly fair, I doubt I can either. I can sound it out using English phonetic rules but I doubt that’s how it’s actually pronounced.
Or the reader is too busy Toobin it:-))))
Sic semper tyrannis.
…and to their blood-thirsty snipers and SWAT goons.
There’s something to be said about “live by the sword and die by the sword”.
Many of them will be fated to grisly ends by their own choices.
I do believe, this is what is called an insurrection … a real one
Pelosi was in charge of security.
It’s officially a revolution when the government is illegitimate, like J6.
Insurrection: Yes.
Choreography: Color Revolution, Inc.
Getting all those people out at the same time, same place takes organizing. Like Tahrir Square, Cairo 2011.
If I were Julie Chung, I’d be looking to get the hell out of dodge not tweeting platitudes to hungry, angry people.
She thinks anybody there is worried about what she has to say? lol This is how disconnected from reality these racist, communist demoncrats are. They think their tweets are going to really make a difference.
LOL…..nicely said. Not sure what the percentage is of people starving in the dark who are pacified by tweets but I’m guessing it is somewhere south of one.
Empty words from Julie.
Empty words
Empty stomachs
Angry words
Angry actions
Frustrated people
Chaos
Sometimes violence is the answer left. To quote a democrat: those who make peaceful protest impossible make violent revolution inevitable. Maybe the “ruling elite” should have been responsive while there was still peace.
All you A-hole politicians and dumbass corporate executives sure know how to piss people off.
They don’t hang out here. We’re not in their club.
I do hope the Ruling Elite are paying attention.
It would behoove them.
I hope they are not.
Hopefully, the people of Sri Lanka do what is necessary to their corrupt politicians.
THAT will get the attention of the ruling “class” in this country.
Gas prices dropped around here, and I am wondering why:-)))
Election coming up
A great depression is on the way.
Nothing like a great depression to reduce consumption.
Just what Satan’s helpers would want.
Looting of the SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve), 1 million barrels per day.
Where we will not be able to get to any fight, Defensive or Offensively,
NO Energy, Intentionally executed.
Temporary suspension of state has taxes. Emphasis on temporary!
They will. But while it removes the source of the problem it doesn’t solve problem, namely food.
Food takes time, resources and a functioning society to produce.
“ It is a hot mess that’s likely to surface in other nations quickly.”
This is the main reason why most all nations have a standing army … … including ours.
true
Which is not what the founding fathers intended. Now you know why Uniparty is hoping we decide to up and actually have a real kinetic action. They want a real second civil war so they can declare martial law and suspend the Constitution.
And use our “woke” military against us We The People to off set our God given 2nd Amendment right!
Woke military is a threat to no one. That’s their goal.
I told one of my clients 2 years ago, and she liked O’Butthole, that a civil war was coming. She thought I was kidding, I think she has now hanged her mind.
It will be short war.
But only once their mercenaries fade away, it’s game on. Just like SirLanka.
That part doesn’t worry me. Seriously, most of these old idiots can’t even wipe their own butt.
Just a push of their forehead and they are on the same.
It’s who takes over the power vacuum that concerns me?
Ideally it’s a Patriot that didn’t even want the job.
For example PDJT.
Elections are called.
First rule everyone already in office can’t run, even though I know we have some Patriots in there.
Second rule, ID checked, double blind hand counted ballots by precinct. No machines.
In addition if your precinct results don’t match to within 1%, after a 10% random audit , of the signature checked paper ballots, it’s ten years for everyone
Once a legitimate government is in place everyone in DC domestic functions is fired and 99% of that power and funding is moved back to the States.
The other 1% is handled by the President via significant smaller executive branch.
Mubarak was ousted by a hungry, angry mob. Organized online, televised, and celebrated by the liberal democracies in the West. Lindsey Graham, 0bama, Thomas Friedman, al-Jazeera, CNN.
That glorious Arab Spring brought the Moslem Brotherhood to power. Smooth as a greased pig.
A nightmare of violence and hunger. Getting rid of that lot cost ordinary Egyptians a lot of blood.
The international, rules-based order condemned it as a coup – though that was a REAL revolution, organic. It brought a genuine nationalist to power, General el-Sisi. The globalists have never forgiven Egypt.
PTrump reached out to Pres. el-Sisi as one of his first initiatives when he took office. Now Egypt looks to Russia and China.
Federal elections must be individual (strictly limited in amount ) or treasury funded. No further election contributions can be allowed from corporations.
Like Albania, a country whose economy has been crushed by their government. Protests, peaceful thus far, are in process.
All depends on where they’re standing. Most of our troops are flanked on European boarder’s and spread thin in the Pacific. And then the question arises , will they fire on Americans?
Multigenerational military family. Growing up every friend had a parent, grandparent, or older sibling in a branch. College-aged, every friend I had was military or military spouse.
Not one single person who didn’t come home under a flag is still in.
Yes, they will fire on Americans. The vast majority of the “good guys” got out.
Let’s be honest, most of our troops are support personnel for the front line. At this point we’re like the British during WW II- old, fossilized politicized generals who have no idea how to win a war. The only ones in the military who do are special forces and even now, I think most of those are patriots.
Yes, but what orders will they follow?
How many will fire for effect against unarmed hungry Americans?
Especially if all the are after is Pelosi’s ice cream?
I for one would fire into the air and then get out of the way.
Check out the The Jallianwala Bagh massacre. They will shoot on us.
Well, glad to see someone has finally had enough and is doing something about it. Personally I like the Romanian style of dealing w/crappy leaders.
Me too!
Full auto AK fire. 10 shooters. 30 rd mag each. 300 rds. Such should happen to traitors. In every country.
Yo xiden, take note.
Sorry to rain on everyone’s parade, but the revolution-coup in Sri Lanka is organized by the same people who organized the Maidan in the Ukraine and many other color revolutions in the last few decades. Well-founded grievances against a corrupt government exploited by the same bastards: State Department, CIA, IMF, the Soros-globalist cabal. You’ll see in the next few months.
SWING…..and a miss.
But thanks for playing.
Still respect them more for doing something than the keyboard warriors who are still only about netflix and chill.
Great minds…
…make my post redundant!
Never fear. Nancy Pelosi and Liz Cheney will soon be referring charges against these people with the DOJ.
They have News Bimbos even in Sri Lanka ?
There’s no business, like show business, there’s no business I know.
“Violence is not the answer”
Well that depends on the question.
Real hunger takes one back down to your primitive instincts you wish you never had.
Well, encouraging peaceful protests and saying violence does not solve anything…
leaders having to face angry populace that are no longer willing to negotiate, puts them in fear and on notice.. .feeling raw fear that their days on earth maybe numbered, instills some sort of inner feelings, I am sure. Like a “come to Jesus moment” or “seeing their lives pass before their eyes”…
For Mr. Abe, it was brutally (mercifully?) fast. And he was actually a good guy who was offed by a single lunatic. The above pictures of the crowds are incredible!
The turbulant times are spreading faster than a political lab created virus endorsed by Democrats.
Her statement is embarrassing and ignorant on many levels.
“Ambassador Julie Chung
@USAmbSL
·
Follow
Violence is not an answer. If you are going to protest, please do so peacefully. And reminding military & police to grant peaceful protesters the space and security to do so. Chaos & force will not fix the economy or bring the political stability that Sri Lankans need right now.“
I would venture to guess that there were MANY peaceful protests that had absolutely no impact on the improvement of conditions, which led to the necessity of protests that will hopefully get the proper attention and action from their government.
There’s a point where violence is no longer gratuitous or optional.
Yes, Ambassador Julie. By leftist standards, the Sri Lankans were engaged in a “mostly peaceful protest.”
The only reason our traitorous ambassador would demand peaceful protests is because she knows they would be utterly ineffective. This is one of those times where violence seems to be absolutely the correct answer for getting something done.
If this shows one thing with certainty (which is yet another reason our media won’t show it) it is that Nancy and Company wouldn’t be in any position to even hold their faux hearings if January 6th had actually been a genuine insurrection.
This brings back the clip in Ukraine on Fire in which Victoria Nuland stands on a platform and addresses a crowd.
Seems like this is not the time to be tweeting anything to the people of a distressed nation in which she is a guest.
Kanukistan had a peaceful protest, and the TurD’Oh is still walking, so more than peaceful is needed!
I first heard about this from a link to a WaPo article. It mentioned the green push to organic ag tipped it over the edge but they couldn’t help mention the rulers were right wing and that things started going bad after they lowered taxes. The whole article was sourced to some guy’s tweet stream. I assume it’s biased and that it’s not that simple but I’m pretty naieve to it.
People EVERYWHERE resort to violence when they are taxed less. Everyone knows this. Ask any blue-check college professor.
The canary in the coal mine for world leaders. At this stage, when everything is inter-connected, and everyone can see it, the panic among these leaders is heightened.
Holland Italy, and now Poland also, and then Sri Lanka , they must be Nadlering they undies!
I’m sure the ambassador is eating well. And apparently the president was too.
I think our self-appointed over-lords are watching Sri Lanka and Holland with a growing sense of unease. Historically, hungry and increasingly desperate people have been the catalysts for change and the executioners of their ‘masters’.
Chatted to our delivery driver today, he’d heard about, ‘eat the bugs’ (not a fan at all), but nothing about Holland, which he was shocked to hear about. We need to constantly seek people out we encounter in our everyday lives and help them to peek under the globalist rug.
I heard they made their farmers stop using fertilizers and pesticides in order to go green. Low yields caused food shortages followed.
The whole thing is a manmade disaster brought about by the Elite and their New Green Steal/New Weird Order.
I heard China was ready to step in and start buying up everything they could at fire sale prices.
That is part of it. But Covid came along and Sri Lanka lost their tourism business which always brought in foreign money. And they cut taxes which reduced revenue. So, the country is bankrupt and in default on their debts. There is little food or fuel and little ability to negotiate for any because they are in default and their credit for paying back future debt is slim to none.
Not entirely true. The Government drained the country’s foreign exchange Dollars with wasteful spending and pocket lining. Sri Lanka had no money so it couldn’t import fertilizer. The whole wanting to Go Green was a lie and a cover up.
Burn it down to the ground.
Enough of the nice crap.
Enjoy the pool.
Search for some snacks
Coming soon around the world.
Real easy for Julie who hasn’t been missing her meals to tell hungry/starving people who have lost hope to remain peaceful. In the words of Hunter Biden silly entitled c**t.
Rice yields in Sri Lanka dropped by a third due to being forced to implement ‘green farming’. Something the latest BBC article goes out of it’s way to ignore.
Sri Lanka’s Plunge Into Organic Farming Brings Disaster – The New York Times (nytimes.com)
Love how they try to suggest that it was a lack of preparation and not the green policies, but the NYT was reporting this last year, so any inaction by the globalists is intentional.
No way in the world the rulers of Sri Lanka worry about the climate.
Who the hell believes that believes it will rain diamonds.
Sri Lanka implemented the organic farming in 2021 and banned fertilizer and pesticide. Their yield dropped 50%. Is this another WEF great reset?
There had to be a first country to be sacrificed on the evil WEF “Climate Cult” altar. Sri Lanka apparently exhibit one, perhaps because it is so small. Whoever knows? But there was always going to be a first.
YOu ban fertilizer and pesticides when you want to reduce the food supply.
It’s China who wants that and Soros who wants the chaos.
ONly the dumb believe that rulers of any goverment on this earth believe in green, green, green.
It’s all a con..
is the U.S. State Department and ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung, Chinese?
Sure. Hunger is “transitory”. I guess it is one way or the other. Either you get food or you die. Another dime a dozen Biden ding-a-ling.
She immigrated to the US from South Korea when she was five years old according to the internet.
This is her first post as the boss.
My money says Justin Trudeau is watching this unfold from his posh safe space.
…from his posh safe space recovering from his second bout of covid. No tears from me.
Watching this and knowing mass civil unrest is in the future here too, how many thousands of rounds of ammo are enough?
If you want to know what is coming to many countries read — RE-routing the Dutch food system , from more to better…… by , Rockefeller Foundation .org
‘ Recent studies show the country has exceeded its – SHARE – of nitrogen, phosphorus and greenhouse gas emissions ‘
” Their ” study says YOU are bad , and doing everything wrong. They have decided that a ‘ new ‘ way is needed.
In their vision for 2050 : ” Plant based diets are the norm ”
The link at the end shows how they wish to implement their ” Reset “
This is very informative. It is difficult to believe that globalists have the arrogance to decide how the citizens are to live their lives without consulting or even informing them about the destruction to their lives and children’s futures. This is tyranny and more people need to be made aware of articles like this. We need to pray that people will become aware of these plans against them and that God will intervene to stop them. The direct link to the article is https://www.rockefellerfoundation.org/meet-the-top-visionaries-food-system-vision-prize/re-rooting-the-dutch-food-system-from-more-to-better/
I would bet they have ” studies ” on many countries , and what they imagine is a given country’s ” proper SHARE ” of inputs – energy use – emissions are.
Just doing simple searches like ” Food Production Netherlands ” yields many eco-crazy articles on why their surplus food production ability is a ‘ bad thing ‘.
” The Netherlands can feed the world ….. Here’s why it shouldn’t “
Yes. Let the Africans and Middle Easterners starve. Sounds like a Davos plan for sure. Kill off the brown people first.
“Thanks, Obama!”
You FPOS.
When it gets to this point in the US, the world will already be a smoldering ruin.
Yeah, it’s transitory, all right. Eventually you die of starvation.
I hope they took Pelosi’s laptop.
Hmmm…
8,000,000,000 vs maybe 5,000 – 10,000
I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but this is what the US needs ASAP. We cannot survive 2 more years of the basement dummy.
Know who led Sri Lanka into chaos? A very 0bama-esque PM, S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike. .
If they guarantee 10% for the big guy, Sri Lanka can get billions of our tax dollars.
Hunter is on his way there right now I’d bet.
I’d like these pictures and videos a lot better, if it was of a similar crowd gathered in DC to remove the communists ruling our country!
Check out the growing line of vehicles along Madison Drive in front of the National Museum of Art. They’re there 24/7 now and aren’t intending to leave.
Three, including the leader, have already been arrested. Leader fought extradition and won release on signature bond to appear. Another was released O/R. The last is still in federal custody. More are arriving daily. Be the solution, whether in D.C or at the state or local level. It all matters.
The Build Back Better/Green New Deal/Climate BS assisted in this. Given that it took 10 months to discover food growing failure, and given the Netherlands are just protesting now. I reckon this autumn will be complete meltdown in Europe.
“In Sri Lanka, Organic Farming Went Catastrophically Wrong”
https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/03/05/sri-lanka-organic-farming-crisis/
https://phys.org/news/2021-11-sri-lanka-farm-chemical.html
Pretty arrogant of our ambassador (no surprise) to be telling the people of Sri Lanka and also their police and military how to handle their own national internal crises. But of course, in their thinking, Democrat Americans are smart, and Sri Lankans are stupid, so our bureaucrats are surely entitled to step in and act as if they have some kind of authority to direct affairs in that country, or at least to assert their unrequested, patronizing, absurd and out of touch advice.
She may as well said,”Let them eat cake.”
The US ambassador sounds exactly like the nitwit mayors of America’s festering cities.
I get the feeling they are all like that.
“Apply for an Ambassadorship. No Experience Necessary.”
The scenes of the Presidents House…….
That is what Pelosi and those that set up J6…wanted to happen.
It didn’t.
No, Pelosi wanted the fake controlled one. One like is happening in Sri Lanka they wouldn’t have been able to stop (particularly since they kept the armed National Guard forces away).
January 6th was a peaceful protest because the people there still had hope that the situation could be resolved peacefully. I’m certain that the next time such a gathering comes to the Capitol steps, those arriving will already know that peaceful action won’t accomplish their goals and will dress and act appropriate to that knowledge.
Wonder how many protesters peed in the compound’s swimming pool?
I’d leave a Baby Ruth bar or two in there…
Watching this video, thinking about what’s happening in the Netherlands where the government’s intent is to turn 1/3 of that nation’s farmland into ho9using for the immigrants that have invaded that country – the question arises, is that what’s going to happen to the US farmland that Gates and the Chinese proxy buyers who are purchasing US farmland – turn that fertile soil into camps for all the illegals?
No. The US farmland bought by Gates and the Chinese are going to grow food. The rest of the US farmland that is still in private hands is what will be taken away.
This is what a real insurrection looks like, Nancy…..
India’s Tamil with make this go international
Green sure went to Fiery Red!
Think they may be starting a new trend.
Hunger will do that.
I am not going to be surprised when Biden and kiddos try to lock us down when people here start to see some serious food shortages.
Did you see the size of the Prime Minister in the vid? He’s not missing any meals to say the least.
https://www.usaid.gov/sri-lanka/news-information/press-releases/president-biden-announces-20-million-additional-assistance
“The $20 million of humanitarian assistance announced today builds on nearly $12 million in recent U.S. commitments in economic and humanitarian assistance, totaling $32 million in U.S. support for the Sri Lankan people since June 16, 2022.”
Might as well have just taken 32 MILLION and set it on fire.
So that’s what was in the fleeing prone Minister’s suit case!!
Preview of coming attractions!
