The 213-page Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs -v- Jackson (Mississippi case) is FOUND HERE. The ruling in the Dobbs case was 6-3 in favor of allowing Mississippi to place limits on abortion after 15 weeks. However, in combination with the Dobbs decision the court has overturned (by a 5-4 vote) the 1972 Roe -vs- Wade decision that created a constitutional right to abortion.
Chief Justice John Roberts joined with the majority on the Dobbs decision (Mississippi) but said he did not agree with the decision to overturn Roe. The vote to overturn Roe was 5-4. Justices Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett joined Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion.
Due to an unprecedented leak in the Alito draft opinion in May, the Roe decision was anticipated. The leaked draft opinion showed that a majority of the justices were privately poised to remove a constitutional right for abortion; today that step was taken.
SCOTUS BLOG – […] Alito began his 79-page opinion by observing that abortion “presents a profound moral issue on which Americans hold sharply conflicting views.” But the Constitution does not refer to abortion at all, Alito stressed, and nothing in the Constitution implicitly protects the right to an abortion.

This is a great day for our country. It’s disappointing that roberts chickened out on overturning roe. The decision now goes back to the states where it belonged in the first place. Unfortunately, kalifornicate, where I live, will maintain abortion probably up to the point of birth offering paid transportation and assistance to those in states where abortion is banned. As the always prescient Rush Limbaugh said “kalifornia is lost”, many years ago.

Well then it is time for law enforcement to step up to the plate like SCOTUS did, if not, then it is time for us Patriots to stand up and defend our homes, businesses, churches, and communities.
I belong to a group of over 250 local citizens that have already ‘activated’ and are on alert. We previously and then again today contacted the City and County authorities and law enforcement with our concerns and expectations and are already prepared, coordinated, and ‘on the job’ with ears and eyes all over the city.
It is as simple as that. Organize and step up in anyway you can. Start with a small trusted group and ‘build it forward’.
Ah, and the perception of “right” and “wrong” gets to the heart of it, for many.
If abortion is WRONG, than those who had an abortion must face that reality, and the guilt such an admission entails.
My suspicion is that nearly as many live with the shame of doing what they did, where age and fear cemented their decision, as those who live without guilt, or worse, the sick fractions who openly gloat about it. Any human being with a shadow of a conscience knows it is wrong.
For the guilt minded, for those who made a private decision, I don’t pass judgement on them. Young and stupid comes in many forms. We all know right from wrong and have made wrong decisions. I have enough guilt of my own.
However, for those who celebrate murder and dismemberment, I have no sympathy toward them of any kind. They represent a segment of humanity that humanity would do better without. Sadly, those are the voices that will now come to the surface.
Dutchman, if you look at the ages of these screeching, unfeminine, women from whom the innate mothering instinct is missing at the moment, and who have perhaps already chosen abortion at least once, one has to wonder how many will eventually, at an older…a wiser…age look back over their lives and say “I regret.”

Never mind that, God willing, they will reach older age when what they dispose of as unwanted now would have been a source of unmitigated happiness. When the world looks at their aged faces and pronounces them as unwanted as the lives they are demanding the right to end at this moment.
That time will come sooner than they might think. And for these poor examples of womanhood, in their older age, I actually feel a terrible pity for them.

It is a pencil drawing of a baby apparently asleep being carried by two hands which blend into a dove so that it looks like the hands of Christ, carrying a little soul home. It is extremely well done and very moving.
I get a lot of peace from that drawing, because, rightly or wrongly, I like to think all those babies so brutally dispatched are indeed at Home with Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit. No one knows…but I pray it is so.
Justice Blackmun was not in any way swayed by the constitution.. He just didn’t want his daughter or niece (I forget which) to have to have a baby if she got pregnant out of wedlock. The decision was all based on “feelings”couched in legalese.

As I have always said since 1980 when I came to understand this issue as it certainly affects our entire society: As stated in one the most important political documents every written of which we all celebrate every July 4th the Declaration of Independence states specifically “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” You can’t have “Happiness” unless your first have “Liberty” and you can’t have “Liberty” if don’t first have “Life.”

Perhaps this is a clue as to who “leaked” the draft opinion? I have suspected it was Roberts or one of his minions that let this get into the public to force other justices to reconsider their position. I have not ruled this out at all, and witht his result I am that much more convinced that he was the perp.

The US is a secular and protestant country they aren’t banning contraceptives.
Beyond the religious issue of contraceptives, people should however think long and hard about what’s in the chemical ones (not healthy and destroying our drinking water) and how IUDs cause abortions and the pill can cause abortions.
Add to that, why the media and politicians and schools push contraceptives and the resulting consequences of a negative birth rate.
And Father Paul Marx pointed out in the 1980s that increased contraceptive use always leads to abortion.

It’s been awhile since we were winning. It feels just great.
Breitbart reports that AOC is in front of SCOTUS, yelling, “into the streets,” through a bullhorn held for her by a known Communist “organizer.” And that Mad Max calls for defying SCOTUS.
While some people view this decision through the prism of their passionate views on abortion, I view it through my passionate view of the Constitution and the limitations on federal government powers established through it. I knew it was wrong when Roe was decided while in I was in law school. In legal issues courses I taught, I used it to illustrate what an “activist” court meant, contrasting the clearly legislative effort the justices were making, to the proper role of judges under the law, namely to apply the law as written and intended. If they felt strongly that the result was wrong, they could always encourage the legislature, or a constitutional convention, to make amendments.
The Commie insurrection the Left is now trying to ignite illustrates the wisdom of SCOTUS never ever again venturing into making up new laws that were not created within the constitution nor enacted by the legislature. Let that passion be directed at state legislatures. Never at the courts.

It looks like the majority will regard any rioting and destruction as illegal, an inconvenience, or even something that should be prosecuted as an insurrection. The J6 committee’s repetition of its indictment of President Trump as leading an insurrection will ring very hollow to these people when actual calls for insurrection spew from the Left.
I hope these developments will provide teaching moments for my grandchildren in critical thinking, for the proper role of federal vs state, vs local, vs individual decision making.
Also, another such lesson can flow from the catastrophic effects of Biden’s policies on the economy and society generally, illustrating well what happens when too much power is claimed and exercised by non-accountable “elites” who are too remote from the people. A lesson that applies tenfold when the WEF and WHO become the decision makers.
