Which will further inflate the gas prices for those of us who actually have to pay for it. It’s like walking into an auction and handing half the people there 500 bucks. What will happen to the prices at the auction (gas pump)? They’ll go up. This will hurt both the people who got the “free” gas (when the cards run dry) and the ones who have to actually pay for it TWICE! We will pay inflated prices once at the pump and then we’ll pay again in federal income taxes. The ones who meet the income requirements/means tests to get the gas cards and usually get all their fed taxes back, and then some (EITC), will only pay once, but after the inflation it will cause, they WILL pay more, eventually. If they were smart, they’d refuse the cards.
So yes, you are exactly right, they’re a special kind of stupid. I just thought it would be nice to describe how special that form of supid it actually is. These democommies have no clue about even the near term consequences because they can’t see past the end of their nose. They are just tossing more bread into the circus. Let us hope they do it quickly so the devastating results of their stupidity has already become evident in November.
This bread and circuses show is another blatant attempt to soften the upcoming devastating blow they’ll be receiving at the ballot box. It’ll be so huge that even rampant cheating can’t stop it. We had them in 2020, even with the built in cheats in the machine counts, until they stopped the count and brought in ballots by the mail semi-truckloads. It’ll be too much this time and we’re watching, even closer than before.

In fact, gas cards would be precisely ‘printing more dollars.’ If issued they will increase the price of gas.
Basic economics. Inflation is too much money chasing too small a supply of goods. The only practical way to bring down gas prices is more gas — but Biden (actually Obama) refuses to do that. So the demand for gas has to adjust down to the supply. By far the most efficient way to do that is via high prices — which we are n0w experiencing.
There’s no comfortable way out of this.
If getting chips to make cards is an issue, they may just make another round of ‘stimulus checks’ is the future. They never should have done the last one after everything was opening up.
All they have to do is declare yet another National Emergency and then by force commandeer all of the chip industry into making chips for these welfare bums cards. There go all of your electronics and your car production and your computers and everything else. We already have a massive chip shortage and China is looking at invading Taiwan which is where most of the computer chips are made. Which is yet another piece of the DemonCrat-caused Global Supply shortage.
