In an unusual incumbent vs. incumbent Republican House primary – due to West Virginia losing a House seat, West Virginia’s CD-02 has become a “near-perfect distillation of the split in the G.O.P., with Representative David B. McKinley, who is soft spoken and intent on getting things done, facing a more hard-edged, Trump-aligned ideological candidate, Representative Alex X. Mooney,” according to the New York Times.
Despite the McKinley advantage because the redrawn district is considerably more McKinley than Mooney territory, it looks like Trump-Endorsed Alex Mooney is going to win.

UPDATE: Mooney Wins – President Trump now 56-0 with 2022 endorsements
I've seen enough. Trump-endorsed Rep. Alex Mooney (R) defeats Rep. David McKinley (R) in the #WV02 GOP primary.
— Dave Wasserman (@Redistrict) May 11, 2022
Looks like Mooney in a cake-walk. TRUMP 56-0. Could be more, I’m losing count.
Nebraska governor’s race, Trump endorsed candidate losing badly
On the “glass is half full” side, that does not affect the ideological makeup of Congress. More pro-MAGA congressional seats = more support for MAGA policies when PDJT wins in 2024…..
Local media is all in for anyone-but-Herbster. No surprise. 9 GOP candidates running.
Shut up
Now with 66% reporting Herbster has pulled into 2nd Place.
You must work for DHS!
Corrupt NE political family. Let’s step it up, Nebraska MAGA!
I wouldnt say badly, but yeah, thanks for the buzz kill.
Badly would have been 3rd or 4th place. He came in 2nd which was not bad for all the negative ads he received.
Your glass is half empty
Actually, he came in a close second, beating the never-Trump candidate Lindstrom who had a huge lead early in the evening.
It’s a slaughter! A HUGE Mooney win.
Just wait until our rigged November elections are counted here in the USA. Look at France with the hundreds of thousands of yellow vest protestors who were all 100% against Macron. Due to the corrupt media we are expected to believe that Macron actually won the French election. How do you spell, “BULLSHIT?” The French election of April 24th was stolen in the exact same way that our US elections have previously been stolen and will continue to be stolen in the future. I hate to say it but I see no way out of this. The black hats are obviously outnumbering the white hats.
BULLSHIT is French for Macron.
We HAVE to get rid of voting machines. The rest of the fraud we can do a lot about just by showing up and watching. But the voting machines we have no idea what they’re doing inside, and they claim they can’t let people see inside; that it’s “proprietary” or something. Fine – private businesses should NEVER be part of elections.
So we are told voting machines are accurate and tabulations are swift. OK. Simultaneously, have paper ballots manually counted. Then compare results. Let’s build on this.
OK, but whatever you do, don’t let them tell you that’s enough of an audit! There are all kinds of ways to get around that and still cheat.
And we actually need to DO something about the incompatible results. Because that’s what they just presented in Otero County, NM, and now Otero County has to make the decision to admit they’ve been scammed.
You must have forgotten France requires picture ID, uses paper ballots only, the ballots are hand counted – there is no early voting and no voting by mail. Everyone votes in person on one day except for those who can’t go to the polls, but they still have to register at a police station before the election that they can’t go to the polls. Their ballot has to be taken to the precinct day of election by the person listed in their application at the police station – all with ID – and this person is allowed to take only one ballot on behalf of another person.
I recall reading last year that a French politician was quoted as saying that our citizens would never allow an election system like you have in the US since your system is vulnerable to fraud.
While there are several hundreds of thousands of yellow vests, there are about 50 million French voters. I would not just assume there was fraud in the French vote.
Although, I fully understand the desire to wish it was fraud. It’s difficult to come to grips that your views are no longer the majority. My dad is like that. He just keeps saying, I don’t understand. I explain that schools are indoctrination centers and not beacons of learning, etc etc. We welcome 2 million new legal citizens every year from every country in the world, which is more than the rest of the world combined and add illegal alieans, our culture and country is changed. In a short 20 years, my county has gone from red to a very deep blue since the county now has 40% foreign born and most all vote democrat. I could go on and on.
Demographics is destiny. Yes, there was fraud in 2020 with stuffing the ballot boxes but France appears clean.
Ever interacted with the French gov’t and the bureaucracy?
Yea…you bet.
You are correct, the French system is far less open to electoral fraud—although there was what they claim was a ‘technical glitch’ showing Le Pen leading, the matter of ‘spoiled ballots’ that might not be invalid after all, etc.
But as you note, across the West our ‘views are no longer the majority’; our populations are so ‘pozzed’ they either don’t need to commit electoral fraud or can get away with marginal electoral tampering leaving us arguing over hundreds or thousands of ballots when we once would have been talking millions (as was once said of certain parties, you don’t count their votes, you weigh them).
Agree also about schools being ‘indoctrination centers’, and have long remarked that State schools are little more than faith institutions inculcating the worship of government more assiduously than any RC school ever cultivated faith in Christ. I am depressed that so many parents waste time arguing with schoolboards and teachers instead of simply availing themselves of one of the few things within our power—withdraw their children and home-school. No need to wait for some far-off-probably-never-happen revolution, nor for any Man on a White Horse to come along, no need to beg a party to include it in their manifesto for them to ignore later on—just do it, right now. (Cue a multitude of ‘rabbit caught in headlights’ expressions.)
And agree that ‘demographics are destiny’ and we’re importing our replacements.
For century after century the nations of Europe ticked by—there were upheavals and wars, but they were European upheavals and wars, fought and decided by Europeans. At day’s end, irrespective of which cause won, our nations remained European: France remained French, Vienna remained Viennese, Glasgow Glaswegian. But a century of universal democracy, basing a franchise only on still having a pulse on reaching an arbitrary and ever-reducing age, has led European Civilisation to the cusp of destruction. Should anything resembling European Civilisation survive our current travails, history might judge democracy the most evil political system ever devised.
France’s fraud was via “damaged” paper ballots for La Pen that were thrown out
France24 claims the rips were insufficient to render the ballots invalid—I don’t know, we live in a world of lies and I’ve no idea whom to trust. But noteworthy that the number of invalid votes is officially far less than in 2017 in both rounds, that election recording >4m invalid votes in second round, >3m more than 27 April’s count.
France’s two rounds of voting sounds nice in theory (candidate most acceptable to majority of voters wins) but in practice shuts out the ‘fringe’ candidate; and what happens (ever since Marine’s father caused upset in 2002) is that the cucked Right vote alongside the Left in the second round for whichever candidate is not Le Pen.
I say ‘fringe’ but Marine’s views were mainstream half a century ago but as Thomas Sowell wrote, there are views ‘that would have gotten you labeled a radical 50 years ago, a liberal 25 years ago, and a racist today’; or as Mencius Moldbug wrote: ‘Cthulhu may swim slowly. But he only swims left’ (link). We must accept that large numbers of our fellows, possibly a majority, no longer hold traditional Western views or values. That’s not to ‘black pill’ but to dissuade people from wasting time and energy on persuading a majority to our side—we don’t need a majority, just an active minority. No great historical upset was caused by a majority, but always active minorities. E.g. America’s revolution? It’s estimated that between a fifth and third of Americans were rebels, a similar number (fifth to a third) were loyal to the Brit parliament, and the remaining third to three-fifths were indifferent.
Concentrate on building that active third.
I have family in France. LePen is horrible too. Different situation
Yes, demographics is destiny. When we allow millions of ignorant, poor, low-skill, no-skill, and plenty of downright dumb legal and illegal immigrants into America, we soon are no longer America. We become just like the country from which they escaped. This is not a calculus problem.
C’est des conneries! = This is BS!
An election SO lopsided that Dem election fraud can’t steal it is what’s in store for the Dems in November.
Trump needs to dump Dr. Oz for the People’s Choice (Barnett) in PA if he wants to stay 100%.
You never heard of reverse psychology, I want him and Barnett is surging.
Noice. TRUMP is killing it!!!
Cocaine Mitch is not happy . . .
Sweet….
Good, let’s hop that his Chinese overlords put a hit on him.
Two wins for the price of one then.
Let’s hope he has a strategy for GA.
PA don’t let Trump down! Keep the winning streak going! MAGA!!
Oz is a bit much. Not sure why. Only thing I can think of is he sees him as best bet to win in the general in November
I think you are exactly right. Trump as much as said so
You’re kidding me, right? You have an AA woman that’s ultra MAGA and she is going to kick ass. Why? Because AA and Latinos are going to back her. Look around at what’s happening–the Republican party isn’t pulling the minority voters in, Pres. Trump (MAGA) is. Try to look at MAGA as what the Democratic party used to be before it went progressive/socialist/globalist/Communist and then add the blue collar worker and the conservatives that thought the GOPe was really governing in their interest. Unstoppable is what Barnette is.
Bingo! Let’s roll for Barnette! But watch the drop boxes closely.
AA and Latinos vote 70%-90% for the Democrat because they want more free stuff!
Not in 2020. Trump got at least a third of the Latino vote
FAR too ‘general’ a statement.
She is only one point behind Oz in the most recent polling.
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/senate/Pennsylvania.html
3 polls and she’s well within the margin of error.
I hadn’t decided who of the 5 I was going to vote for, but I decided on her today.
depends on demographics – blacks generally won’t vote for conservatives who are black
Don’t know about that. Maybe in the past, but look at Winsome Earle-Sears, then there’s Kristina Karamo of Michigan. I think it’s about time, a lot of new faces in MAGA country.
What does it matter if he wins and ends up to be another Romney.
Exactly
That would be almost as hard as being dumber than Biden and Harris.
Dumb, sure, but they’re in the WH. So…
McCormick said a lot of negative things about Trump in the past. Trump did not forget.
McCormick is in bed with China. Why would anyone vote for a hedge funder who is in bed with China?
McCormick is a no-go for me.
Cruz is doing a rally for him… I bet it’s to thumb his nose at Trump.
The Reagan doctrine seems to go over a lot of heads. You go with the most conservative who can win!
My thoughts exactly.
Disagree. Reagan was another era. We face existential threats. Fight to the end. Spread the word. MAGA. Wake up. Turn of Game of Thrones. Walk the neighborhood. Join local precinct committee. Research, post, inform, prepare.
Back in 2016 in the Wisconsin primary after fake conservative talk show host Charlie Sykes ambushed Trump in an interview, which probably cost him the primary, Trump immediately came out with a statement criticizing Governor Scott Walker. That’s when I knew Trump was in it to win it. Walker was very popular with the Republican establishment, but state wide had a 37% approval rating. He needed another 15 percent from those who weren’t happy with Walker. The Walker crowd, except Paul Ryan, would vote for Trump, but he needed a lot more than that.
I tend to think the article I read several weeks ago suggesting Melania argued on behalf of Oz just might be true. The article said she watched his shows a lot and respected him and told her husband that women were likely to vote for him because they watched him and trusted him as well.
I do think Trump goes for people in the field of entertainment, tv.
Is she wrong? Bringing in independent women and some fed up Dems is a good thing for the general election
Do you always believe everything you read?
Seriously?
Gotta blame somebody in the Trump family for PDJT’s endorsement of Oz.
You really ought to do some research on PDJT that goes back many decades…
And what, exactly, are you implying when you suggest the need to delve into PDJT’s history going back some decades. You do know that DJT from the mid-90’s is not the same person as PDJT, don’t you?
I’ve researched and followed DJT and his family for many, many decades.
He is the same; you just don’t realize it.
I’m calling you out. You either can’t answer the question or you know that your answer won’t fly so you don’t want to answer the question. GOT IT!
You are calling me OUT?
LOL!!
I’ve been called much, much worse over my lifetime.
Settle down…go back to sleep.
Must be that time of the month. Better take your PMS meds – or your TDS meds.
But what am i saying? There is no known cure for advanced cases of TDS. And you exhibit all of the classic symptoms of raging TDS:
-Argumentatuve
-Slinging unprovoked insults
-Inability to defend through reason a position that you have advanced
Must really suck to lead such a dismal existence as you apparently do.
TDS is just about as vane and empty as “cuz I say so.”
Troll?
Go away dumbass.
Don’t care.
Another non-response.
These issues are all too important to rely on “cuz I say so.”
The facts of PDJT’s life and decision-making processes are out there – the good and the bad.
Put the lipstick down and take a nap yourself.
He was a Democrat supporter by accident. Got it. He had no choice if he was going to succeed in NYC.
Spread a little “you just don’t know it” magic dust and there you have it – fact riddled response.
Actually, if one goes back and watches the videos of President Trump offering
his opinions, they mostly have not changed.
Women really love Dr Oz and they will vote for him in overwhelming numbers in Pennsylvania.
Wow! They really, really love him. Shades of the Mask!
What a demeaning vista into the female voter’s mind.
Not Conservative women.
You are talking about liberal women and they can’t vote in a Republican primary unless they are registered as one and it’s too late to change!
I’m in PA and Dr. Oz is a hard sell. I understand this reasoning, I just think it’s totally wrong.
Oh my, its always either Ivanka, Jared or Melania telling President Trump what to do/s
He always endorses the celebrity. Celebrity Apprentice is no way to govern.
Of course! Dr Oz is very popular with women and very well known across Pennsylvania. Like it or not celebrities have a huge advantage in an election. Case in point, in Miami over the past 30 years famous sports figures like Miami Dolphins charged with crimes almost always get acquited even when guilty as hell.
People forget Reagan was an actor and Trump had the Apprentice. Give Oz a shot
So….which is it: MAGA women go for celebrity first or MAGA women vote on principle and action?
Oz is constantly being called a Carpetbagger on any post on social media. People are only talking about all his negatives.
Trump supporters are shaking their heads and say no I can’t vote for him.
This year is the year to get a real MAGA candidate in PA. Fetterman is a joke and the Republican absolutely can win against him.
Trump is wrong. I respect him, but even he can be wrong.
Screw that. Oz is a swamp rat. Another Pierre Delecto to make fools of us.
Agreed. He’s no Republican, let alone a MAGA guy. He’ll support anything the “health authorities” dream up in the future, for all those coming fake “pandemics” (redefined btw, don’t need to be “deadly” only “widespread”) that cede our authority to WHO. People are so dumb they think a bi-annual “pandemic” is “normal human history.” Prepare folks. The psy op is coming. Just in time for mid-terms. How convenient.
Exactly. That’s what needs to be drilled home. Counter-balanced by knowledge that PDJT lost a lot of Republican voters in PA in 2020 in the Southeastern part of the state. McCormick outlined the primary versus general election deltas. Reality is that Kathy Barnette is running an ascending, very close second. Perhaps it’s time to open the tent to a wider spectrum of candidates from a growing segment of conservative voters.
Trump did not lose voters in the SE part of PA. They were STOLEN from him. I’m in that SE part of the State and I saw lots more Trump signs and people talking openly about Trump in 2020 than in 2016.
The Dems knew they had to steal more than in 2016 to get Biden over the finish line and they did.
I hope Kathy Barnette is the one to break the streak. She’s a better choice than NJ resident Oz who has never done anything for Pennsylvania or the Republican party.
Nope.
Not voting for OZ, he turns my stomach.
Trump listened to the wrong people. This isn’t only about Trump, I don’t want another Romney clone to represent me in DC.
McCormick is as bad as Oz so I’m voting for Barnette.
Alex Mooney is the best representation I have ever had, including his staff. I once lived in Dennis Kusinich’s district so I also have experienced the worst.
They have thrown all kinds of BS at Representative Mooney including an awful hit piece in the Atlantic. He is part of the Freedom Caucus and boy am I glad to see this win. Manchin had endorsed McKinley who voted for the J6 committee. People were generally outraged.
He’s my rep also and has done a good job. Now we could just get rid of Manchin.
2 years, hopefully.
I was stuck in McKinley’s district and even called his office for help with an issue twice – had to LVM both times & no one ever called back. Last call I made was to tell him if I ever won the lottery I was going to run against him. Very proud to have cast my ballot for Mr. Mooney & very glad to be rid of one swamp rat. May McKinley be the first of many more drained from the D.C. swamp!
His staff always answers the phone and I have gotten many a follow-up email or letter. I am so glad he won, the thought of being stuck with McKinley was too much.
From a prior NYTs article:
“The Republican-on-Republican blood feud developing in West Virginia is only over a single House seat, but the outcome of Tuesday’s primary between Representatives David McKinley and Alex Mooney will signal the direction of a potential Republican majority in Congress: Will it be a party of governance or one purely of ideology, driven by former President Donald J. Trump?”
*****
😁😂🤣
Every single election 56 times over now is a test about whether Trump is done or rejected.
If a Trump endorsed candidate finally loses one there will be a MSM ticker tape parade celebrating the end of Trumpism.
😁
Governance? Governance? As if we actually believe that the GOPe has provided “good governance”?
The only thing they “govern” is the amount of money they dump into their off-shore accounts from the selling of their offices.
The New York Time is full of crap and was most likely supporting McKinley.
While it looks good for Trump’s record and his endorsement probably did helped, this vote was not about Trump. I live in WV, but for full disclosure, I do not live in McKinley or Mooney’s district. Nonetheless, David McKinley is a RINO. Actually he would be better described as a moderate Democrat with an R beside his name. McKinley was endorsed by every labor union in the State.
One example of his RINOism, McKinley was one of 13 “Republican” house members who voted Nanzi’s Democrat so called infrastructure bill. Check his voting record, this was not the first time he supported Democrat sponsored bills.
I’m beginning to think many “RINOs” are Dems who infiltrated over the decades. We really need to be more informed and active. It’s our punishment for being asleep and watching soaps, sports, and social media screens for decades. They’re at war with us, people. Wake up, Fox News eyeballs.
The dems are very good at infiltration and usurping.
Think of the insanity of so many “foundations” with conservative founders.
Think US government….
I don’t for a second believe Walt Disney would approve of what’s going on.
Mitch & Kevin will be the MSM’s honorees.
NYT b.s. “analysis” – “signal the direction” … well, that direction is set, it’s MAGA all the way. 95+% support for MAGA among party deplorable rabble. It’s only the Uniparty establishment that pretends otherwise. They think we’re going away, and will settle for Bush, McCain, and Romney again. “Potential Repub majority” – yeah, potential. Try to tone that down. Only thing you got is fraud. If that happens, and you steal the mid-terms, God help us.
ultra MAGA swept OH
may the America first candidate win
#FTNYT
PA will be interesting to see if Dr Oz takes the win or if Kathy Barnette get the nomination without Trump or any other surrogates.
Trump previously endorsed Sean Parnell in September 2021. Parnell suspended his campaign in November 2021 and endorsed McCormick in January 2022.[
Former Trump administration official endorsements are split between McCormick and Oz.
What happened to the Parnell candidacy? It was looking so good there. And then we end up with Swamp RINO “Oz” out of nowhere. Ugh.
He dropped out. Bitter divorce proceedings, allegations being thrown around. Decided not to run because of his kids I believe.
Corrupt judge took away Parnell’s custody of his children. Parnell was forced to drop out of the race and work on getting his kids back.
He’s a stellar guy, and IMO, was a huge threat to the Uniparty. So sad, but he did the right thing.
That said, I can tell you that running for office can put a huge strain on a marriage and children.
Lt. General Michael Flynn endorsed Kathy Barnette.
Steve Bannon has had Barnette on his program.
WINNING! Trump is the man with the plan. VSGDJT.
The legend continues…..Take note Cocaine Mitch
Beijing cocaine Mitch and chicom commie wifey Elaine chai!!
NYT Politico CNN
Praying for a Musk to purchase one of these and flip the script.
Antitrust threats
There’s no other billionaires on the Right? Geeez Louise!
Musk isn’t on the right.
Which is why I keep telling people that we must GIVE MONEY! there are no sugar daddies on the right…No Soros, Gates, etc.
Tag, IT’S US.
Politico just sold for 1 billion dollars, so that is probably off the table for awhile.
thats it?
These PDT endorsements, which are producing wins, have to be driving the rinos crazy. As November starts getting closer, the GOP and the rino establishment will get to the point of sacrificing some seats to Dims rather than lose control of the party
Too late. They have already lost control of the party.
Not so long as Sen. McConnell, et.al. are power brokers in Congress.
But remember Sundance’s warning, they own the party.
Great news! Keep steady, MAGA.
Don’t discount Mitch yet. He still wields a lot of power and will be a PITA to PDJT – – unfortunately.
Who’s discounting the Old Crow?
Maybe certain people are discounting PDJT and his motives or the way he thinks, since obviously his thinking does not seem to align with very many sitting on these branches, as of late.
Just an observation.
I respect your observation, however, my statement was not an accusation towards any one person or group of peeps. It and all statements I have made have never disparaged PDJT.
The comment was a “semi-warning” similar to a “beware” or a “don’t become too confident.” Overconfidence has historically occurred during war. The victor of several small battles often fails to see the “big picture” and the true potential of his enemy resulting in disastrous results. (i.e. the Japanese at Midway).
Or, more simply put it could be just giving advice – like don’t eat the yellow snow.
Have a great night.
I understand that.
You did not offend me.
I follow the comments daily and make comments when I see fit to do so.
Really, it is my observation as I ready daily and think about what others know, maybe not realize, perhaps have experienced in life or politics, etc.
Personally, I enjoy your comments and look for them as I peruse the feed.
See ya later.
insert smiley face here……………..I haven’t figured out how to do it yet
On my not so new machine, I press the windows key (to the left of “alt,”) and the period. Not as many selections as some folks seem to have but better than nothing. 😊
My own main issue of contention with Trump is the support for the jab. The health and pharma folks have proven untrustworthy.
He really had no choice at the time with all the panic striken horror stories coming out of Europe and China. Which our media, of course, hyped and exaggerated. There was very little good data to make decisions and vaccines sounded like ONE good approach. We’ve used them before…but not ones that were so untested. But that part happened after control of the WH switched to demented Biden.
POTUS Trump also brought up HCQ and we know how that went. Notice the MSM did not do the same to the jab…..
I think we were all troubled by that, but the fact is, I couldn’t think of a choice for PJDT. Could you? No matter what he did, he was doomed. Even today, there is no reasoning with statistics that are bogus most of the time. The left doesn’t believe what they don’t see, and they don’t see anything but their own propaganda. Who would have thought the CDC would lie, but they did!
Brutus eventually met his fate.
Trump is the greatest leader since Abraham Lincoln. He started a grass roots movement that has endured the attacks from the most powerful government in the world, trying to destroy both Trump and his supporters. Trump is the most trusted man in America. He is not a perfect man, but he is the perfect man for this moment in time.
I just read though Mooney’s Senate voting record. He makes me want to kick kittens and flip desks.
The more I read about these candidates when SD posts them the more I ask where these almighty conservative MAGA people are?
Tea Party 2.0!
How did you read through Mooney’s Senate voting record when he was not in the Senate?
Mooney was a House member in WV District 2 while McKinley was a House member in WV 1. The State lost one seat in the 2020 census and the legislature voted to divide the two Districts North/South which included Mooney’s and McKinley’s former districts. This pitted the two incumbents to run for one seat.
Mooney votes MAGA conservative consistently, while McKinley votes for big Democrat bills. For example: https://wvmetronews.com/2021/11/06/us-house-passes-infrastructure-bill-mckinley-one-of-13-republicans-who-supported-legislation/?msclkid=93fee407d0d011ec898ea8a2c7012e57
Do you even know what you are talking about before commenting?
Excellent summation.
Thank you for this. Sometimes it seems that there are new posters on CTH lately that write negative or despairing comments that seem to derail the enthusiasm. Why would that be?
Commie Shareblue ROLCONS. I can spot then a mile away. 😁
Seems more like people want revisionists history and will ignore any part that they don’t like to see.
Possible troll
No, he’s trying to ignore what I said by narrowing history.
Mooney served in the Maryland State Senate, representing District 3, from 1999 to 2010!!!
Then you need to be clear about what “senate” you are talking about. Maryland State Senate votes doesn’t mean a hill of horse dung to WV. My point is Mooney has voted consistently MAGA while serving in Congress in WV 2. McKinley has most definitely not. McKinley voted for the massive infrastructure bill but even worse voted for and supported the J6 “investigation.
I stand by what I posted about this West Virginia race. WV is not Maryland, and I have heard all the “carpetbagger”, or “Mooney only moved to WV to run for office, etc. Always coming from the Democrats and RINO WV GOPe hacks. Therefore, I watched his votes and record in vital votes and he beats McKinley hands down.
Once again, make yourself clear about what “senate votes” you are talking about. Maryland is NOT West Virginia. For example, I won’t ever cross the border into Maryland because of their non-2nd Amendment stance on gun laws that won’t even recognize the reciprocity of a neighbor State (WV) concealed carry permit.
However, I have to stand on my principles and consistency concerning”votes” as Congress members. Yesterday as the voters of WV were voting to re-elect Trump backed Mooney and Carol Miller, both voted yea on the Democrat, Nanzi Piglosy 40 billion Ukraine bill supposedly to fund the sovereignty of Ukraine’s borders while our southern border is wide open. What about our sovereignty? Miller will hear my disappointment on her vote today. Total BS, so I will concede to you my disdain for that vote by Mooney and Miller.
Fox.com has an article saying Mooney won.
breaking :Trump-Backed Alex Mooney Defeats ‘RINO’ David McKinley in West Virginia Republican Primary
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/05/10/trump-backed-alex-mooney-defeats-rino-david-mckinley-in-west-virginia-republican-primary/
This is a really big deal here in West Virginia. Huge, as someone used to say. All of the old line politicos in the state joined with the Republican National Committee lobbyists from DC to smear Alex Mooney throughout the campaign. President Trump never wavered. Big MAGA win!
🎉🎉💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Enjoy the perfect record while it lasts because next week in PA, Dr Oz is deservedly going down in flames. Go Barnette!
It might not last the night. Herbster is climbing in Nebraska, but still behind.
Does he still have a chance?
Herbster is still in 3rd place but still climbing. His former running mate, Theresa Thibodeau, who dropped out and then re-entered the race on her own last year is currently in 4th place polling at about 6%. Current numbers with 58% reporting show the leader Pillen with 49,818 votes. Herbster 42,370 + Thibodeau 0,509 totals up to 51,979.
Race has been called for Pillen.
With 71% reporting he leads Herbster 34 – 29 %.
🙁
that’s not a win. That is an IN-YOUR-FACE a$$ kicking.
I object to this “Trump Test” or “MAGA Test” bullcrap. I hope Mehmet Oz loses to Kathy Barneyte, and I’m not sold on David Perdue, either. Trump should cultivate candidates if he wants to be a kingmaker, not just show up after the heavy lifting and declare the winner, for whom we must vote to show loyalty. I’m out.
Say what you want about Oz, but Perdue has to win. We cannot allow Abrams or Kemp to run Georgia. Plus Perdue is calling out the fraud now.
Check out the deal Kemp made for 1.4 billion dollars to Avian(?) Electric Car maker just last week, Soros own the bulk of the stock; Ford just dumped their shares two days ago.
Just the News had a big article yesterday. Perdue is pushing it as the worst business deal he has ever seen in his life.
The best part: The farmers who will receive about 20-30 million in this sweet deal, (location is Atlanta area), are all brothers. One of the brothers was Chairman of the Board (government) that approved this “great deal for Georgia taxpayers”….
It won’t be finished until 2028; average wage will be 56,000…..
What a deal!!!
LOL
Have you ever worked in politics?
Have you ever ran for public office?
Have you ever passed petitions, knocked on doors, put rallies together, drove people to the polls, or worked as a poll watcher?
Have you ever successfully ran and sat on a county political committee? Ever held office on that committee?
Have you ever won an election after many years of experience and when the leadership failed in their duties, placed the blame on you?
I didn’t think so.
Nuff said.
Was there a response from YeahYouRight to any of your questions, or are you assuming what the answers might be?
I’m fine with Trump losing with Oz. I just hope the MAGA gal wins in PA.
What about Kathy Barnette’s stance on gay marriage in front of Pennsylvanian voters? Just search for her tweets about gay marriage. Would this stance of hers fly in the state of Pennsylvania in the general election?
I expect in the final days many ads will expose a side of Barnette that many will not find appealing or may question at best during the general election against a Democrat.
That’s where the rubber meets the road.
I leave it all in the hands of the MAGA voters in PA to make the final choice that they will have to live with for who knows how long.
Barnette is likely going up against Fetterman in November and if Oz can win against him she can.
People hate what Democrats have done to them the last two years in PA. We had massive lock downs and so many people were hurt by the restrictions.
Yeah, this is a 2015 tweet
Her point (in context) was that this was a SCOTUS court decision that should have been left to the states.
The Dems will use it against her (likely effectively) as they play their national campaign about Repubs want to ban all abortions and end gay or interracial marriages.
Not good.
Things like that may be why they say she would have a hard time winning a General election.
It’s a tough call for me.
Don’t want to lose the seat for the country, but know Oz will not be good on many issues.
Most people don’t care about this, and of the ones that do, the “pros” are the perverts who are maybe 2% of the population, and the “cons” are God-fearing people who don’t want their kids groomed.
The only people who care about tweets from 2015 are people who aren’t going to vote R anyways.
The only reason why I think Trump is backing Oz is because he wants a direct line of communication with Erdogan from Turkey.
…the better policies are winning…
( but in less than 2 weeks. the WHO has plans to become sovereign over the U.S….. not good for people… )
Not ONE penny while McConnell is in leadership. Get him OUT
For comparison,
what’s the endorsement scores
of the other gop endorsers?
Does someone take notes?
If not,
why be narrow about 1 person’s score?
Yes we know that it’s good – because of policies and following thru, transparently.
But we all know that the record will get some blemishes…
but that is not the important part…
it’s the better policies that are more important to carry thru.
Imho
Yeah, well I want Trump to be 56-1, because I don’t want Oz.
And as for Perdue, talking tough now, but where the hell was he in the weeks before 5 Jan ’21? Wimp Mode, costing the Senate seat. Will he seduce us now? Unfortunately, no other practical choice, Kemp MUST be punished for his malfeasance. We’ll go with Trump’s endorsed choice in that case.
“Yeah, well I want Trump to be 56-1…”
Nebraska gave you an early “want Trump to” lose one.
Congrats Mooney

Will be interesting to see comparisons on voter turn out.
RINO McKinley backed Biden’s radical infrastructure bill.
Not all of Trump’s endorsed candidates are MAGA….Dr. Oz is a radical RINO and a dual citizen of Turkey who voted in Turkey but NOT in the USA…..Barnette is the one he should have endorsed.
Unfortunately, here in Idaho, Trump endorsed the swamp rat Mike Crapo. Crapo is not MAGA.
On a somewhat more positive note, Trump endorsed Janice McGeachin over RINO Brad Little in the governor’s race. As usual, the GOPe has lined up six other opponents, the all-too-common splitter strategy, which will give Chicken Little the win.
To make things even more bizarre in Pennsylvania, the Club for Growth has endorsed Kathy.
I can’t stand Club for Growth.
I do like Kathy overall, but I’m not sure she can win in a blue leaning state. Her last race in 2020 she lost by 20 to the Dem in a (D+8) district.
This somewhat reminds me of the Alabama primary early on in Trumps Presidency when the base became livid that Trump supported Luther Strange instead of Moore.
Luther got clobbered in the primary, but then the combination of Dem smears on Moore, and Roy not bothering to even campaign much(and doing a frankly strange interview with Hannity) led to Trump having one less vote in the Senate for his agenda.
Also, after watching 2000 mules, and how corrupt Philly is especially, it’s hard to be confident any Republican has a chance This November.
Kathy lost in the same rigged election that stole PA from Trump? I’m shocked. /sarcasm
Actually, what genuinely shocks me more is that there are people on CTH who still believe those election results are real. Nobody should be trusting any numbers that came out of PA in 2020.
In a D+8 district. It was pretty much a lost cause but she got 40% of the vote.
As others reported earlier, Trump endorsed Herbster lost in anti Trump Sasse’s state of Nebraska to “Outgoing Gov. Pete Ricketts’ pick for governor Pillen” in the GOP primary. 33.4 % Pillen and 30.4 % for Herbster. Lindstrom had 26 % of the vote.
Then there’s Pennsylvania on May 17th with Oz and Kathy Barnette competing on May 17th. Whatever happens, P Trump still has a huge win column for the primaries.
And the anti Dr. Oz people want to make it 56-1. Some people just can’t stand winning.
Oz is a rino liberal. Kathy is legit maga
“Oz is a rino liberal. Kathy is legit maga”; with the Club for Growth Endorsing her with millions of $$$….
Let’s just wait and see how this turns out.
GO MAGA,
An incumbent GOP Representative “intent on getting things done?” Sounds like bullshit to me. Drain the swamp.
Trump is 58-1. Herbster in Nebraska Gov race lost last night. I’ll take those odds any day and twice on Sunday.
Nov. 8th will be a seismic plate-shift of historic proportions and ’24 will top that. The people are MAD AS HELL that their 2020 presidential election was stolen and the thieves have brought America to the brink of extinction. This shall not stand.
“soft spoken and intent on getting things done”:
In this era this usually means greasing each other’s palms.
It wasn’t even close. Not at all.
Trump when this is all said and done will be ALOT – 1. MAGA voters are smart. We believe in Trump but even Trump can’t get a RINO named Oz elected. Barnette will be the only loss for Trump and rightfully so. Why the F did he throw his endorsement behind an Oprah Winfrey Democrat dressed up as a Repub?
It appears that MAGA voters, for the most part, are not buying the old “Vote for the Republican who can win, even if he or she is a RINO” routine anymore. I’ll be voting for the MAGA Republican in every election, even if it means loosing a few seats. RINO Republicans are no use when the chips are down. Soon MAGA will reach critical mass in Congress.
Trump has time to hedge his thinking about OZ in PA.
Saying something positive about Barnette would be easy.
Something like ‘I’m seeing polling for Barnette looking good, she also has a MAGA message and supported me in 2020.’
Trump has speech writers all around him that could give it the right tone so it doesn’t sound like he’s dissing Oz. He hate McCormick and he could do a little (big) dig against him.
or ‘It looks like Kathy Barnette is pulling into 2nd place in PA, she’s another MAGA candidate and she’s pushing MCormick down and you all know about how much I don’t like him.’
I certainly hope Trump backed Dr. Oz looses in PA. I don’t want Trump to be wrong, but I think he listened to the wrong people and doesn’t know PA.
Normally I stay on topic, but I’m drifting a bit because this is about primaries and MAGA candidates and Trump endorsements.
I don’t want McCormick, but Oz is a no go. I looked at the other 5 candidates and thought they all were OK and would be happy with any of them. I decided when Trump supported Oz that I would vote for whoever was up there with Oz and McCormick. It’s pretty clear that’s Kathy Barnette. So sorry Pres. Trump, I’m voting for a real MAGA candidate not a Hollywood liberal.

Honestly given the polling, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump did some equivocating and hedging his 100% support of OZ in the next couple of days. Even giving a slight nod to Barnett would get those who are only voting for Oz because of Trump to reconsider.
