Perhaps in the grand scheme of all things facing us, this action by New Jersey may seem a little silly; however, it’s still nuts.
Comrades, starting today it is illegal in New Jersey to have plastic or paper bags in stores for shoppers. Additionally, restaurants, cafeterias and food trucks are forbidden to serve take-out food in Styrofoam-like products. Also, all retailers must stop selling polystyrene foam products like plates and cups. Drinking straws require a permit for restricted distribution as monitored by the Department of Health.
To ensure legal compliance within the Garden State, officials in New Jersey have established a snitch hotline for citizens to call the Dept of Environmental Police (DEP) and report dissident violators, while the state ministry of citizen compliance have created a “WARN DEP” app to facilitate easier snitching on your neighbors if you spot them using contraband containers.
“The ban will go into effect [May 4th] nearly 18 months after the law was signed by Gov. Phil Murphy.” ARTICLE
We cannot get to environmental justice without citizen participation, comrades.
Does the brown shirt come with the job?
Rat on your neighbor or friendly neighborhood shop!- We’ll send you a Brown Shirt – FREEEEE !!
Yeah. On Thursdays, put the dirty brown shirts in the bin in the locker room and Cintas will drop off another week’s worth of clean brown shirts.
Nota bene: This is gonna play H-E-Double-Toothpicks with the UPS uniform service.
That’s why barcodes are so important. The Brownshirts will get their brown shirts and UPS employees will get their brown shirts.
The swastika on the collar tags of the Brownshirts will help keep them from getting mixed up with the brown shirts that UPS uses.
Is everyone clear on that?
Wait, what? UPS wasn’t part of the discussion? Just ratfinks?
[best Emily Litella voice] Ohhhh……… Nevermind.
UPS gets the plain brown shirts. Our new save us from ourselves army wears the brown shirt with the rainbow on the back.
Ah… I see.
Well then, who gets the swastikas? Are those for the bowling league teams?
With matching jackboots.
Or pumps…depending how you feel that day.
Six-inch heels if you are feeling particularly frisky that day.
I live in Pa right across the bridge . I’ve called it the gestapo state for decades . Utterly ridiculous, and insane .
Things like this will eventually break the publics back of tolerance. Personally , I hope they keep it up, the sooner the better !
From now on, all the Roger Wilco runs will have to come home in wine boxes.
Wasn’t RINO Christie Governor of NJ a few years ago? He is part of this.
PA stores there may see a surge in shoppers.
My sister forgot this went into effect today. Walmart will not bag for you any longer in Jersey.
And I thought CA was lost. We had bag ban a few years back, then they mysteriously returned with a 10 cent charge per bag. Everyone was happy 🧐
Brilliant way to make everyone happy to pay 10 cents for a bag. >>> Make ’em Cry Uncle.
ten cents a bag for a bag that uses 5 times the plastic. Brilliant.
NJ is often like CA without the plan trees 😂
“Palm”, but spellcheck doesn’t see the diff! No biggie, I just hate when the device “corrects” me incorrectly!
Traitors who sold out the country to enrich themselves, participated in a 5-year coup of a U.S. President, and stole a national election from him are walking around free & continuing to enrich themselves as they destroy what is left of The Republic.
Meanwhile, the rest of us can look forward to being thrown into the Garland Archipelago with the J6
insurrectionistsprotesters for the crime of making “malinformation” statements like this and/or using a plastic straw.Isn’t this the same New Jersey that was used for years as a landfill for NYC garbage?
Yup!
And at some of the beaches there were hypodermic needles washing up on shore!
The waste management (mafia?) was putting containers of hazardous waste in the ocean.
Going joke was you knew when people were from Jersey— they glowed green!
That was 70’s (?)..lots of articles and media attention about it.
Naww.
That was Staten Island.
And bodies?
Back in October and November when Sundance started talking about shortages and gas prices were soaring, I thought to myself, what if the cost of plastic bags got so high that they were banned or people started having to pay for bags?
For years, I have recycled plastic bags every couple of months, but since late last year, I’ve been keeping them all. Maybe stupid, but if we ever get back to being sensible, I can always recycle them at that time.
I recycle them-pooper scooper doggie bags….bathroom/small can garbage bags. Make good packing material if moving.
I rode my bike today 15 miles and stopped to pick up burritos. Paper bag. Just happened to save a couple bags in my bike handle bar bag. It started pouring rain and saved my paper from soaking.
So a NYC jungle dweller, reuses their dirty cloth bags. The bag is set down 2 times on the subway, 3 times off the subway 4 times a week for months. Set down on the counter at home. Bags and foot wear are spreading germs.
That’s the idea, use citizens’ bags as Petri Dishes, to breed new infections to create new ‘pandemics’ to justify The Mask, distancing, lockdowns, and compulsory death shots.
Jersey has long led the way in police state garbage.
Maybe you can also use them as face masks!
I’ve got lots of both paper and plastic bags…..also have several cloth bags still behind the seat in my truck. Can I still turn in the bags I don’t need? Or is there a fine for that too?
There could be serious jail time. /s
Things are beyond insane.
Yes, I said to a friend, “single use” according to whom? I reuse them for lining small trash cans, transporting shoes and other small objects when traveling, and many other uses. I also collect the worn out bags and bring them to one of those recycle bins for plastic bags.
Trouble is when trash trucks don’t accept plastic trash bags!
Whenever the gov sets up a an app to snitch on your fellow citizen step one should be to flood the app with d1(k pics. Any d1(k will do. Donkey d1(ks, dog d1(ks, floppy d1(ks. Throw sand in the machine whenever possible.
<Whenever the gov sets up a an app to snitch on your fellow citizen step one should be to flood the app with d1(k pics.>

Overseas Chinese students in US flooded the phone lines during Tian an men mess back in the 80’s so Mainland Chinese snitches couldn’t get thru to snitch on their neighbors.
I lcve hcw ycu gct arcund the mcderatcrs l1ke that 🤣
Didn’t they do that in NYC? Something covid related I think. Had to shut the thing down in a couple of days.
Yes
Oh boy, more division.
Hopefully, this will just bring more decent people closer together.
Americans will stick together but the other nationalities will not. It’s why we are being flooded with foreigners.
We had an issue where I work, union related, the South Americans went against the unions.
There is no pride for this country because they are here only to steal and enrich themselves. Eventually this all will end, our land will be flooded with invaders who would kill us all in a minute for our bread.
Mourning is pointless, we had all the gold and blessings and traded it for the golden calf.
This Supreme Court issue with roe vs. wade is almost like a flair for help to God. It will illuminate the darkness and sides will be obvious. I find this all interesting. People won’t stop aborting, it’s gone too far, so what’s their point?
Amazon and other big corporations have said they will fly their employee to a state so she can get an abortion. What do you do, go to HR and tell them you need a flight out to abort your baby? Do you bring them your pee test? Hey ya’ll, I will be out next week while I go get my abortion, Sissy is going to cover for me?
Most women I know don’t go around advertising they have had an abortion, only the truly crazy ones on Tv do that.
Even Canada has offered their abortion services, but you have to be vaxx’d to get into the country.
If you have to be vaxxed to get into the country then you are basically aborting yourself.
Typical in this day and age. Wish it would all collapse – including the so called America….and it will if this keeps up.
No worries, it is happening.
But dirty masks made of micro plastics are highly encouraged.
Got it.
Not to worry though. With food shortages, the State will be dispensing all nutrition in convenient capsules.
Convenient capsules remind me of those “Skittles and M&M’s”.
H/T to those who know of the movie.
The trick is to report all your Democrat neighbors, coworkers etc. And keep reporting them. If a business is known to lean left or donate to leftist causes or politicians report them too.
Yup, Lulu. Become ungovernable.
👍👍
Yes, it seems like a motivated population could have a lot of fun with a snitch line.
We all know that there is only one way to put a stop to this slide into tyranny
Yup
Make Lamp Posts Great Again!
Are you just supposed to hold out your hands for them to dump spaghetti and meatballs into at the takeout counter?
Just asking.
Bring your tupperware. 🙂 The biggest you got.
Wear your hoodie backwards, and you’re all set with a convenient feed bag.
“Drinking straws require a permit for restricted distribution as monitored by the Department of Health“
.
Are they going to be locking up all the drinking straws at the grocery store now? Do I need a prescription to buy them? Will a note from my child’s kindergarten teacher work, if it is for a class construction poroject? Life has become sooo… confusing.
“Here’s your 5th of Scotch, sir. Shall I put that in with the vodka?
–
–
Wait, you also have plastic straws? May I see your ID please? Stay right there while I contact my superiors.”
😉
Have you tried to buy plastic straws at the store lately. There are no plastic straws. There are now wax paper “sustainable straws” which are made in China. I am actually serious about this.
Some of us are old enough to remember when paper straws and Dixie cups were the norm. Some may ever remember lead toothpaste tubes too though.
Yep, straws were made out of paper back then. After they were soggy enough from whatever you were drinking…. made great spitballs.
But they were not made in China
DE has plastic bag laws, too
Several months ago we were travelling through several states to visit family.
We stopped for gas and I picked up some things at the convenience store (part of the gas station) to have ready for use in our hotel room later.
After I paid I asked for a bag for my goods. The clerk made a snarky reply that “this is Delaware, we don’t use plastic”. Then she said, however, that I could buy a reusable plastic bag for 25¢, which I did.
*******
Legislature OKs bill closing plastic bag ban loophole
Excerpt:
A 2019 law, that went into effect Jan. 1, prohibited large stores and chain retailers from providing “any single-use plastic carryout bag” to consumers at the point of sale.
Rather than offer reusable fabric bags or paper, however, many stores in the First State took advantage of an exemption in the 2019 bill that allowed for thicker plastic bags, reasoning that those plastic bags would be reusable, rather than single use. The reality after their use began, however, was that most consumers weren’t reusing the thicker bags as recommended.

PS. My thick plastic bag was bright red. I reused it as a Christmas gift bag.
I remember (a while back) when a person went to Wally World, if you wanted a bag, plastic, it cost you on your total sales slip….other wise no bag unless you brought your own cloth one or reused one of the Wally ones.
The thicker bags are much better for cleaning out the cat box without leaking cat litter.
Yeah, Lincoln, I have to double-bag those cheapies to keep the cat box contents from breaking through.

The “single-use’ bags, which get another life disposing of kitty litter. are an absolute godsend. End of discussion.
Which leads me to conclude that all those tree huggers demanding that plastic bags be banned are complete morons!
If I didn’t have the plastic bags I save for cleaning out kitty litter, I’d probably find a rack of single-use plastic bags at the pet supply store I could buy to serve the same purpose.
So, brain-dead eco-warriors, what’s it gonna be?” Plastic bags that carry groceries and line bathroom trash cans? Or single use trash can liners and single use kitty litter disposal bags?
But… ‘feelz’ and white supremacy, diversity, One-World-Government, and all that and no clue how to actually reason things through.
And this is all because of the GIANT swirling plastic patch … the size of TEXAS … (because all things referencing “Texas” are baaaaad if your an eco-fraud leftist global warming cultist) … in the middle of the Pacific (that nobody has been able to photograph) … hence … the “problem” has been revised to be called “micro plastics”. And now they’re EVERYWHERE! Even newborn babies have “micro plastics” microscopically in their bloodstream! Ohhhhhh mommmaaaa … we’re all gonna DIIIEEEEE … if you don’t adopt the virtue of living totally plastic-free!
I’m sorry, but I’m a plastic cult atheist. I don’t believe any of the fear mongering. Nope. None of it. Except I don’t believe in litter of any sort. We don’t need to live like pigs … like all those Southeast Asians who are responsible for the vast majority of the oceanic and waterway plastic pollution. Hey AAPI’s !! Stop it! Stop tossing away plastic like pigs. Mine all goes into landfill … neat and clean and separated in bins. But I have a plastic addiction. I use zip lock baggies for everything. My freezer is full of them. They help me to live a nice, comfortable, modern, life. A life I consider my birthright. A birthright hard-earned by the generations of Americans who came before me. I will do my part to defend that life and to fully LIVE that life.
Should we reduce the use of foam packaging? Probably. But anyone who has watched an “unboxing” video soon comes to appreciate the artistry of modern packaging … and the care that is needed to properly protect the precious objects that are now being shipped and handled multiple times before arriving on your front stoop. Let the FREE Market decide which packaging is best. Just like I’ve decided the CA mandated flow restrictors in all of my faucets needed to be drilled out … so qI can actually GET some water when I turn on the tap. Hey CA lefties! Wanna save precious water? Send the 30M illegals who just got FREE MediCal … BACK to where they came from. THAT would save a boatload of water. Oh, and STOP dumping our reservoirs to ensure that EVERY year is an “average” river flow year. That’s just ignorant. It’s not natural. CA climate has ALWAYS been variable year-to-year … and using our reservoirs to create a “normal” waterflow every year is as stupid as never thinning the undergrowth in our forests. Here in CA, we are burning down our forests to save them, and dumping our reservoirs save our water supply. The men who built CA’s beautiful infrastructure are rolling over in their graves as the eco-frauds destroy all they built. There … I’ve vented my spleen … thank you.
Does this mean Moms will have to start using washable diapers? Like in the “old days” when I can remember washing a load of them every day since I had 4 toddlers at the same time Boy was it nice to get even one out of diapers.
Studies have confirmed that 90 percent of plastic in the oceans comes from the 3rd world, and most of the plastic in the pacific comes from se asia.
Indeed, China and India.
I guess a lot of Take Out can be put in cardboard type boxes?
But what the heck are they s’pose to do w/ soups and wet stuff?
This could be a Real. Problem. for Take Out places.
They’ll probably just end up coating it in wax to be honest. I think they already do that with those dixie cups, but even those get soggy after a while.
Paper is verboten too in places cause it uses trees. 😒
Does one get a reward for turning in people who break the rules?
This country is going down at an exponential rate.
Newsom will catch on to this and soon propose the same, if not worse ban in CA.
I have a vague memory of places like San Fransicko banning plastic bags some years ago.
People used cloth bags, until they discovered they were germ-infested because nobody washed them.
Haven’t heard anything about them since.
CA banned single use plastic bags before the Pandemic. During the Pandemic, they wouldn’t let you use your re-usable bags.
All of a sudden plastic bags are back, however, they cost 10 cents each.
They have banned styrofoam containers for take out, so we shall see what happens there.
They had almost trained me to bring my own shopping bags … I preferred the large plasticized totes I picked up at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai. But they were banned during the pandemic as I stood 6ft from the next customer in checkout lines that stretched to the back of the store … all the way to the milk section … you know they deliberately put the milk in the back of supermarkets to make you walk-by all those other products? Well, they deliberately forced my cart to be EXACTLY 6’-0” from the nearest cart … and made me use sanitary store bags once again. Now, I can’t even find my Grand Hyatt bags. So I pay Safeway 10c/bag. I guess the money is going to good use … funding a State government “career” for some college graduate with a degree in “environmental studies” … or “gender studies” … or women’s studies.
We need a snitch line for government employees breaking laws.
There are reasonable environmental arguments about getting rid of Styrofoam cups and plastic bags which is not a hard adaptation to make; at least from my experience. But turning “dissidents” into law breaking criminals and involving law enforcement to encourage snooping is ludicrous over reach and unnecessary.
My local gov’t implemented these changes over a long period of time and has never involved the police etc as far as I know. At most, it might be considered a bylaw infraction in some municipalities but I don’t know of any enforcement. The reusable bags are cheap and much stronger and more reliable than plastic bags.
The ban on paper bags has not been implemented or planned in my area but recently stores didn’t have any available which is a tactic for a peaceful and gradual change. It’s all pretty easy to do IMO and I’m glad that plastic and Styrofoam have been reduced. The individual and corporate litterbugs helped create the problem and recycling the plastic etc was not effective.
Aside from possible vote fraud, this is the result of the majority of voters in NJ having spoken clearly. Score another win for their coalition, with emphasis on the word “coalition,”
This is what happens when you have mostly unrelated groups of people banding together, agreeing to support each others’ diverse, pet causes. So you have the eco-crazies getting their way now with sustained help from, say, the welfare-rights advocates. The welfare rights people may not care about plastic bags. But they are willing to support eco-crazy policy for the sake of being helped with their own pet issues in return.
The D voters support each others’ hot issues. And they and the officeholders actually keep the trust with each other, mostly.
No matter what they are doing out of sight to enrich the ruling class, those D politicians actually deliver to their constituents.
E pluribus unum.
I really hope that MAGA develops a healthy, growing infrastructure to counter both the crazy Democrats and the miserable Republicans. It’s tough when you have both parties, as wll as the actual rulers, against you. And as excellent as President Trump is, the long haul will take much more than one iconic individual, no how remarkable he is.
It wil also require the pro-life, pro-gun, antiimmigration (and other) people to support each others’ agendas as strongly as their own. That may be the biggest challenge.
Ds deliver misery to a constituency that “enjoys” it. They ache to be enslaved to almighty government and for no one to question it lest they be snitched on for thought crimes. One cannot start at a baseline of comparing the disturbed machinations of a cult, in which the Ds are actively engaged, with the common sense actions of MAGA conservatives. While we need to support competing agendas within the MAGA movement, we need to do so from an informed perspective, not from some emotional Karen-driven our team vs. their team kind of lunacy. This is not an attack on you, 1530. It’s just that yes Nazis are good at being Nazis. I don’t envy them for being so, and I have no intention of emulating their foulness.
It is hard to see where we disagree, if we in fact do.
I don’t think I was advocating lunacy. I was just thinking about the fragmented nature of conservative voters, versus what seems to be the rather disciplined nature of the Democrat ones. Our independence makes it easy for the GOP to deliver nothing. You don’t have to be crazy to be disciplined.
Or is there something the GOP has delivered in the last twenty or thirty years, other than inane questionnaires accompanied by pleas for money? They certainly didn’t deliver President Trump. They fought him at every turn.
The problem is it’s hard selling a negative. MAGA wants to NOT do things to you. Most dim(wits) can’t see that’s better than gov actively doing things to you.
And the sad thing is all of the people rightfully moaning about this snitch law will be paying these people salaries as well…
I want a ban on all bottled water purchased by any gubt entity. Bottled in plastic or jugs. Get a water fountain. I’m sure most of them have kitchens with a sink and fridges with an icemaker. Use them. Buy a glass or water bottle. I am certain that would save is BILLION$$$ a year in totally unnecessary waste.
Most of us understand by now that the point of all this not to save the world from the scourge of plastic straws.
The point of this focused manhunt, is to find the dissenters, the iconoclasts to leftist dogma, and harass them.
Creating an ever-more censorious and intolerant culture is making it just that must harder for leftists to filter out the potential troublemakers. So let the troublemakers drink their Jolt cola through a plastic straw, and we’ll catch’im!
The facemask was such godsend to the little nazis/Faucis of the anti-Co-Vid warrior class. The sight of neurotics, standing in the park wearing a mask that prevented them from breathing fresh air, or getting a little sunlight on their faces set the Co-Vid obsessives hearts aflutter. One of the strongest characteristics of Co-Vid sufferers was a lack of vitamin D in their systems. You get your vitamin D simply by standing in the sunshine a few minutes a day – the ingenious facemask did its evil magic.
I would suggest that the hunt for nonconformists to leftism will only grow more intense. Perhaps posting on Twitter will soon make you a persona non grata?
Things go better with KOCH.
Koch owns Georgia pacific paper mills for bags. They bought Dupont Fibers many years ago and own nylon, dacron, spandex (for left wingers who get their panties in a bunch) and material going into reusable dirty bags.
They don’t make disposable plastic grocery bags but ship the feed stock to the bag plants from their refineries.
Anyone in NJ if your smart and understand the laws, use them.
If they are banning Polystyrene foam, look up the legal definitions in your state statutes and then file complaints that the stores themselves are in violation of these same laws.
use the laws they right in your favor.
How is the meat dept in the local supermarket going to package meat without styrofoam or plastic? I see a lot of botulism in our future
I was just watching illegal dumping in my apt complex dumpster. They threw away flat screen tv’s & lawn furniture so much so they filled the dumpster to capacity & then lined up the rest around the area outside the dumpster. My apt complex doesn’t care. I’m surprised NJ cracking down on such idiotic trzsh@ when so many abuse the trash laws.
I assure you that the owners of the complex care, but they get no support from the government to stop it. That load you described be billed back to the owners as extras. Landlords spend a lot of time trying to stop exactly that type of dumping, many have video surveillance of the dumpsters for that reason but getting anyone prosecuted was never easy.
I use my surviving Walmart bags to clean up dog poop in my back yard before I mow and before I take the garbage tote out in the winter. These plastic bags are the best. Paper bags get soggy and the contents may come out and I better not use any of my wife’s cloth bags for obvious reasons. I wonder if exceptions can be made for plastic doggie bags out on the walking paths and parks where dogs go to play and poop? Anyone know. Think about all the stuff we store in plastic bags at the house because they are dirt, grease, grime, water, paint, and poop proof. I will be buying a poop scooper and placing the dog poops out in the street for the city to clean up, I recon.
Seems like every one size fits all solution the Gooberment comes up with just turns to crap and costs us all more money for a variety of reasons. Sorry I made everyone have to think about dog poops in order to make my point. Not. 🙂
Easier to just flick it into your shrubbery and let Mother Nature compost it where you won’t walk on it.
Disposable face masks are made of polypropylene plastics. The CDC recommended using the disposables, over the cloth. Apparently the plastics will take up to 450 years to decompose. That sounds like a far greater environmental hazard than all the contraband bags, cups, plates and straws in New Jersey.
The DEP, also known as the —Dystopian EnvironMENTAL Police — need to get on this stat.
Jersey has long been a police state. Thirty years ago a friend of mine from New Jersey appeared on my Providence, RI, talk radio show.
He described New Jersey’s heavy handed, police/nanny state philosophy very well, saying, “Yes, we know the sign looks ugly hanging above your fireplace, but if we didn’t order it to be there telling you not to pee on your living room carpets, you would be peeing on them.”
That’s New Jersey. Total control, total corruption, suffocating place to live.
Can anyone in the country report to the snitch line?
This could be fun!
There are a few ways to report businesses in violation of the new law.
The DEP told NJ Advance Media it is in the process of setting up a dedicated email account for reporting violations. Once that email is set up, it will be on the DEP’s bag ban information page.
The straw rules — which require businesses to only give out straws if you ask for one — are enforced by the Department of Health.
Businesses or persons found in violation of the law will get a written warning for the first offense, a $1,000 per-day fine for the second offense, and a $5,000 per-day fine for the third offense, the DEP says.

So, I’m thinking, perhaps the best thing to do is use Option #3. That way, we exhaust the resources at the county level and make the counties put pressure on the state to provide more resources. Or maybe the counties will refer reports to the state, thereby exhausting resources of both.
If a whole bunch of people file a report stating they observed a particular store providing plastic bags to 17 customers between 9:15 and 9:32 and this store, due to its size and location, couldn’t possibly have had that many customers check out in that amount of time, then all the store has to do is provide a copy of its sales reports for the day and time slot reported to refute the claims.
Then, to add to the fun, someone should FOIA the reports and data on the follow-up, and write an article about how stupid the regulators were to follow up on so many reports that followed the same suspicious pattern.
As for filing a report if you don’t live in NJ, what’s to stop you from saying you visited the state two days ago?
You cannot go anywhere w/out being traced these days, if you carry a cell phone.
It is a good law except for paper bags. The rat fink app though is too far. Anyone that downloads it should get a severe shock when they install it and when they open it.
I’m sorry, but I’m just waiting for the laughter to break out now.
Is anyone in the entire state of New Jersey actually taking any of this seriously??
S-o-d-a … S-t-r-a-w-s? 🤣
Bags are only $20 per thousand inc shipping from eBay sellers. Buy and share.

Masks are cool to fill the oceans, rivers, lakes, parks, and streets. Liberals are so naive…. Well maybe they are evil d***heads….
When NY banned the plastic bags, I bought a box of 1000 online and use them when I go to the store. People are amazed when they see me living as a free American. Banning bags, cups, straws and any other packaging is NOT THEIR JOB. Fix the roads and stop the rampant crime.
Looks like problem may be solved. Sorry i couldn’t find original source. It has the basics.
Here’s your NJ legal definitions. What you can use and not use.
https://law.justia.com/codes/new-jersey/2020/title-13/section-13-1e-99-127/
start at 99 to 127
Um, during COVID mania, we could not bring our own bags because of bacteria in them. Now they encourage it again. This Law will really hurt the Jersey Shore areas.
Just give everyone a Solent green pill and problem solved.
I haven’t used bags for a long time, years, instead tossing checked groceries back into the cart and putting them in recycled Amazon Pantry boxes, which were built like tanks, that ride in the truck bed. The local mom and pop always offers bags but I decline. Do that with pretty much everything.
No bag rules yet locally but it’s Oregon so I wouldn’t be surprised at anything Brown does.
God bless people who can still afford to eat out. I quit that years ago.
Is vinyl siding legal?
~talk about toxic
Dare I say the people of NJ deserve what they vote for?
That said, there’s a few good apples there. In a way, one hopes the tyrants ramp up fast vs. boiling the frogs slowly. In that way, the backlash can be spectacular.
Throw sand into the gears. Report every grocery store located OUTSIDE of the state of NJ.
Karen 3.0
The left loves this kind of crap.
Just don’t bother to stop at the checkout counter on your way out. No baggie, no payee, seems to work in California according to the nightly videos showing urban shoppers claiming shopping equity.
Gestapo tactics as usual and try to blame the end user.
I’m not a big fan of all the plastics myself. The whole advent of these disposable plastic water bottles, I saw that was such a waste. I like to take a water in my car and use these glass milk bottles now instead of reusing plastic ones. They have a plastic cap, though. I do NOT like drinking out of a steel cup. And I remember when grocery stores switched from paper bags to all these plastic ones. I never understood it. I also noticed recently some condiments that used to be in glass have recently switched to plastic. Like some mayo jars and white vinegar bottles that used to be in glass. Remember when ketchup used to be in a glass bottle? I know it wasn’t as easy as the plastic upside down squeeze bottle.
There was a study that came out that apparently we have microplastics in our blood. and organs But we don’t know the health effects from it. I think it matched the type of plastic found was like those in the water bottles. I store leftovers in Anchor Hocking or Pyrex glass storage containers mostly if it has liquid. I find it easier to get out than those hard plastic plus ever since they said don’t microwave in plastic.
These corporations don’t make it easy for us. So, nonstick cookware can be pretty toxic and also toxic in the communities in which it is made. Apparently there was a lawsuit but seemed to be shoved under the rug. But does these “woke” stores from selling almost all nonstick cookware? But let’s blame the buyer for its use.
Cuyahoga county in Ohio tried to do a plastic bag ban and then there was apparently a lawsuit because it was targeted and the county lost so back to plastic bags, lol! The stores that pretend they’re so virtuous went right back to plastic bags because they could.
I recycle my plastic store bags to line the small trash cans. Do they even have trash bags in New Jersey? Our city asks us to bag our lawn waste before putting it in a trash can. Why? The expense of the bag for one is bothersome if we can just dump it in the trash can. Also, remember when our trash cans were some kind of galvanized steel?
I’m sorry, these global a-hole companies is what has moved us into so much plastic use and they act like we’re the baddies. I guess that line from The Graduate was on point. “One word. Plastics.”
I think New Jersey is using gestapo tactics because they are trying to train us into being brownshirts. “See something, say something”. It’s all part of their plan. Just like the mask compliance.
This is just nuts. Very concerning slipery slope.
flood the hotline. report every business that closed permanently because of the covid restrictions..even ones that would have never used bags. report your local closed gym. let the bureaucracy send out people to investigate these closed businesses. eventually they will be so swamped with calls they will cease to function.
This happened in Kentucky with the Covid hotline to report small stores out of compliance. The big stores were still open. The lines were flooded with calls about why were the small stores closed while big ones stayed open. They used the complaints to institute capacity limits and circles on the floors and one-way aisles. People would call to report the big stores for not perfectly complying. The call line was pulled. The insanity continued.
