It was obvious when the J6 Committee began using their unilateral subpoena authority to demand phone records, text messages, documents and emails, that part of their plan was to leak/release internal GOP discussions amid politicians that would anger the MAGA voters ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
Part of the J6 goal is to create division and sow animosity amid the Republican Party. DUH.
However, what the J6 Committee doesn’t seem to realize is that MAGA voters already know the scheming, conniving, duplicitous rats within the Republican political ranks. Heck, we already hate most of them, so outing Kevin McCarthy as a slimeball is about as surprising as sunrise. DUH²
The MAGA and D-MAGA base have so much experience hating the professionally Republican RATS, there just isn’t a lot that’s going to surprise us.
Factually, the Republican Party is a structural institution, and as a consequence, all the professional people within it are vessels to accomplish a goal – nothing more.

Not surprisingly, the New York Times runs a column intended to show Republican voters how much the Republican political leadership hate us. Are we supposed to put on our shocked face now?
The overwhelming majority of Republican voters are ‘strategic Republican voters.’ We cannot destroy the DC apparatus without a vessel to enter the swamp, so We The People chose the GOP club as the vessel to do it.

After the New York Times article ran yesterday, slimeball Kevin McCarthy denied the statements attributed to him. However, Liz Cheney – just like her father – being a creature of the swamp’s deepest, most vile and Machiavellian tribe, was recording the call for later use.

WY has a VERY lop sided legislature with the senate having only 2 dims. But in saying that, there were some great bills that were presented to committees regarding fixing election issues to biological males participating in womens sports. None of these bills passed which is very concerning. Anyone who thinks WY is a red state is only fooling themselves.
I know a person who was very connected in WY politics who loathes cheney, but in saying that, he thinks she will win.
We shall see.

Yes – IF they actually read an article about it or watch a streaming video from a conservative news source, and listen to the snippet of audio from the phone convo. The problem with Normie Republicans is they have to be hit over the head with metaphorical shovel 20 times, before it gets through. They are always attracted to some establishment RINO and they always want to fall in line and support them. Also I remember Trump summoning him to Florida and him looking sheepish after that meeting because I’m sure Trump chewed his behind out. No surprise here.

Maddow, much as I despise her, is too smart not to know that this would incense true conservatives. So what was her goal in airing it?
Guess you haven’t tasted the intoxicating effect of the “bombshell” news release.
That’s part of it. On the other hand, Maddow is much more than an MSNBC political commentator, she is also a prominent political strategist for the progressive left who happens to occupy a virtual but key leadership position in the Democratic Party.
Nothing she says or does is said or done without some kind of driving plan or strategy behind it. What is the plan behind airing the McCarthy recording?
One possibility is that in late summer or early fall before the mid-terms, the J6 committee will be referring a criminal charge of insurrection against Donald Trump to the DOJ for prosecution, and that one item of evidence the committee supplies will be the recording of McCarthy’s conversation with Cheney which would seem to indicate his belief that PDJT was guilty of the charge.
And so when the time comes for McCarthy either to support or to oppose the J6 committee’s charge referral to the DOJ, what will McCarthy be saying if he opposes the referral?

The only reason Reps are any better than Dems is that at least a handful of them are decent people who aren’t insane (see DeSantis, etc)… while among Dems, I’m not sure there’s even ONE* in this country (at least not on the national level). But yeah, for the most part Dems/Reps are just two wings of the same bird.
(* Every time I start to think Tulsi Gabbard is one, she says/does something that shows me she’s really not.)

Yeah, I remember not long after I first arrived here someone was using the word “rat” in a negative way. And me, seeing how I’ve had a number of the little guys as pets, had to go on a long rant about how they’re actually really cool, playful, loyal pets. We know, that we are in no danger of a fertilizer shortage so long as we have Washington DC. We also know, that we are in no danger of having enough real/legal votes to change everything that has occurred.
The problem is – how do we get those votes counted legally and fairly. And, how do we find people that believe in and are willing to follow our Constitution. Since, are government is nearly totally corrupt.
