The pets, including cats and dogs of residents who tested positive to the COVID-19 virus, have been confiscated and killed by the government. This may seem off topic, but bear with me. I spent two and a half years in West Germany from ’85 to ’88. I was there, at the behest of the US Army as an insurance policy to protect Europe from a Russian invasion. All of US who served there were pawns in a huge game of chess. I went and saw the East German border with some border guards. There was a regular type of fence off the border road that was the beginning of no man’s land. 50 yards from that was a huge fence that was thirty feet high, and the razor wire on top was pointed inwards, not out towards US. The fence was designed to keep people in. Think this is bad? Just wait. I was shown a town off in the half mile distance. Picturesque, just like you would think of European countryside. In that town several fires were burning in chimneys. The border guards then told me that there was another huge fence one mile on the other side of that town. East Germans would climb and cross that fence, and find the town. They would go to the town, thinking the were in West Germany. The town was full of East German soldiers, who would capture them and take them away, never to be seen or heard from again. That is when I truly understood what Communism was all about. The people of China are in deep trouble. The people of the world are in deep trouble. Most refuse to see it. Their brains can’t handle it. But, even without turning into acute pandemics, zoonoses are still responsible for about 2.5 billion cases of illness and 2.7 million human deaths worldwide, every single year.14 To put these figures into perspective: in 2017, traffic accidents caused 1.24 million deaths and diabetes caused 1.37 million deaths globally.15 So, regular, non-pandemic zoonoses cause far more harm than all traffic and diabetes fatalities around the world, combined. Even non-fatal zoonoses cause massive damage to human health, societies, and economies, given that one out of four people on this planet is affected by a zoonotic disease – annually.

Not buying what is being shown
The second video of the residents screaming is almost exactly like videos from early 2020 that were purported to be people in Wuhan. Some report that they were moaning in pain. Others said that they were yelling words of encouragement. I do not speak or write any version of Chinese, but I can say that I am even less certain of what the truth is compared to “news” I get in English.
Can anyone on this thread actually interpret the Chinese in this video? I simply have no reason to trust the commentator on the video.

Amazing the power the Chinese authorities have. They essentially have turned a city of 25 million people into a prison overnight. They must be gloating right now with that accomplishment. Could the “dropping dead” of China in January 2020 have been the political cover to crackdown in Hong Kong and to crackdown on any Hong Kong sympathizers elsewhere in China? I think that was the case then and also now. The Shanghai lockdown likely is a preemptive move to crackdown against people who have lost economically in China.
Keep in mind the videos from Jan 2020 from China. I believed them. They caused me great fear and anxiety. Yet they proved to be fake. Just be skeptical, like the videos from Ukraine/Russia.
