Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

✝️ DAILY DEVOTIONAL, March 28, 2022
Thank you, Dan…and good morning to all my friends and fellow travellers in this world, which needs our Lord more than ever💓
O Lord, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day; Defend us in the same with thy mighty power; and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all our doings, being ordered by thy governance, may be righteous in thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen🙏
Amen 🙏

Up On The Roof: Drifters
Thank you. From a video posting illiterate, “Under The Boardwalk” has a way to continue the vibe.
Sometimes,Hot tin roofs necessitates hiding out there until Monday or humans go away. ❤️ one of my favorite hiding places 😊
If anyone is interested, here’s my favorite hiding place away from humans. 🥰 you all have an open invitation to visit 😉
Mungel like much ☺
Tidy forest in picture, Mungrel left barkers at scrubby end 😜
Mungrel got scrub scrub kennel, dead boss dog stud 58 pedigrees show me 😁
Mungrel don’t forget “houndjo” playing 😝 !
Yes, Ray. I was gonna post it but got carried away.
Glad …. and thanks to that wandering kitty (lol) the vibe continued.
Unfinished tile roof, not bedded, master home extension “sniff out”, whiskers won’t fit soon😀
Rolling in tile colour dregs for camo 😜 weak effort ta be tuff 😁 !
Scardy this one 😀 !
Good morning, WP💓. Another week starting with the fullness of His mercy and grace always with us. No better way to begin than to be reminded by your offering. Thank you. B
Yes, WP has the uncanny knack of posting timely contemplations I always can count on them to start the day right!
I’ve got one question for anyone reading, WP posted a mention of a publication of how God designed masterpiece of his critters, insects, etc. would like to search for it, since I’d like to try to obtain a copy to pass on to the grands. Anyone remember the title?
Glad I popped in 🙂
Thanks 😊 WP 💋
Good AM Betsy, and Amen.
I’m so glad you did as well!
And I am going to order this for my triplets and their sister for Christmas! Saved a screenshot. Thanks, WP💓
…my grand triplets and their sister, that is!!
Make sure it’s age appropriate for them. The icr.org store has all sorts for varying ages.
If I may say, why wait til Christmas? Why not now as a “just because I love you” surprise.
I could do that. They are 3 8-year olds and their 10 year old sister when Christmas comes. Believe me, WP,it’s expensive and hard to think of gifts for them all. I always send a big tin of popcorn (3 kinds within) but I’d very much like to add a book which, as animal and Bible lovers would tie the two together.
The age appropriate part I’d considered, and I need to look at the one you suggested to see if it would be. So many thanks for telling me there are others. I will investigate. They adore books. I have so many pictures of them in their jammies on the couch engrossed in their books. 💖. I always said I’d be the book grandma (I have a sweeter name they call me) …so I’ve been trying to live up to that sobriquet.😊
OK that helps. For your convenience … 🙂

I do so appreciate that!!😊
Hey! You! “Get off of my cloud!”, covered by Lucinda Williams.
I love Lucinda!! 😍
Here she is singing about my hometown. Although, it is not the same since the hurricanes……it will never be the same. But, I had a lovely life there .
I thought this thread was for prayer requests by hurting Treepers. It does begin daily with The Our Father does it not?
Why are you attempting to dominate it with frivolous videos which have absolutely nothing to do with the prayers of hurting people. It’s kinda creepy..reminds me of when the Jews were made to preform classical music as the fellow prisoners
were calmed and soothed on their way to the gas chambers.
Would not you musical offerings be more appropriate somewhere else other than the prayer request thread?
Clay, this isn’t the Prayer Request thread. You’ll find the link to that specific one on the Home Page.
With all due respect clay, Garrison’s music postings are food for our soul which helps our contemplation of our Lord and are a welcomed contribution. You’re always free to scroll past or visit the prayer thread Sundance has provided so graciously elsewhere on his site.
Good morning, Cat💓 I addressed him below. Sometimes, I guess, there are those who walk through the wrong door. Beautiful support of our beloved Garrison, without whom this thread wouldn’t be the must read that it is. Blessings to you, girl🙏
Good Morning Betsy 🙋♀️
Since it seemed that clay had something going on which troubled his soul, I visited the prayer thread, which I should do more often, to look for him. Although he hasn’t posted there yet, I found many in need of our prayer warriors. I am thankful that clay’s misguided post took me there today. ❤️
Like you, Cat, I should visit that thread more often as well. Perhaps his misunderstanding was a “Nudge” for me to do so. I’ll visit it today. Bless🙏
Good reminder Betsy!.
Tho I start every morning on my knees with prayer, and every night the same, sometimes it is good remember there are others needing our intercessionary prayers.
Garrison, I’ll take this opportunity to tell you that you “turned me on” to Snowy White as well as Gary B.B. Coleman some time ago…….. lets just say I do not listen to their music infrequently!
Thank you!
The first thing I pray for after I ask for forgiveness is for His presence, and that of the Holy Spirit, in the lives and conditions of all who need Him. As you say, intercessionary prayers, bugsdaddy, remembering that He is doing better things for others (and those we know and love) than we can hope or pray for. I know He hears us. B
🙂
I discovered the Prayer Request thread just a couple of days ago… a nice place that I will visit more.
Purrrrrrfect
Here’s a suggestion tendered in a way that is in keeping with your obvious level of understanding: SHOVE IT FOOL!!!! We don’t need trolls here so you are dismissed.
Oh, MY! Garrison!!!!! You made me spit on my key board!!!!!
Sometimes I have that effect on people, Leenie . . . 🙂
🎶
🙂
We love this section of the Treehouse just the way it is. You are welcomed to visit, enjoy for what it is. Betsy is spot-on. Go, Pray, come back if you wish.
Good morning, parichute💓 The whole multiple posting was very strange…by a man whose previous comments were so conversational. I do hope he has just had one of those moments, soon to be resolved.
Blessings to you, girl. May your week be a really good one.B
Clay, you’re on the wrong thread! 🙏🏻😂
Wow. That was from back in the day when commercials could be great and leave you with a sense of compassion, love and gratitude. Can we go back to that time now?
Yep. A hallmark of these commercials is that they always tell a great story. Loved seeing the giant horses coming to rescue the puppy. 🙂
Good day?

Eddie Cochran records “Summertime Blues” at Gold Star Recording Studios in Hollywood, California. Along with all the guitar parts, he also added the hand clapping to the track, while Connie ‘Guybo’ Smith played the electric bass and Earl Palmer sat in on drums.
It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 and was ranked #73 on Rolling Stone‘s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
28 March 1967
Van Morrison records “Brown Eyed Girl”
The song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2007.

A Detroit band called Frijid Pink sees their cover version of The Animals’ 1964 hit “House Of The Rising Sun” peak at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 during an eleven week run in the Top 40. The Michigan group’s rendition actually sold over seven and half million records worldwide, while the British rocker’s #1 hit sold about 750,000.
Foolish me! I thought this thread was for prayer offerings. Who knew it was an audition site for wanna be/has been disc jocks.
Well, it is open thread…I just scroll on by till I find what interests me.
my question was..What has this ongoing musical extravaganza to do with the prayer requests of hurting people? Maybe Sundance can start a new thread for music videos.
Good morning, Clay. There is a specific Prayer Thread on this site. This is the thread where we can and do discuss anything, offer Scripture, prayers, personal stories, catch up with one another, share our memories, our joys and our distresses with our friends.
It is a place where the camaraderie of this site is the strongest. I start and end my day here. And part of the joy of it is all the music which each person brings for us to listen to (perhaps with personal stories and remembrances which we can all connect to.)
Maybe you’ll stay, then you’ll understand why this particular thread has become such a part of the lives of those for whom it is a comforting and safe haven. When faces are not present but hearts are? How can one not feel God’s presence amongst us here?
Blessings to you, sir.
Well said, Betsy!! I too, start my day here. It is a comfort and a blessing to me. I love the prayers, the music videos that soothe and make me recollect past times, and especially the love and comraderie among all the “posters”.
Good morning, Rileytrips💓
Memories, music, and friendship… the stuff of life. We must keep those front and centre as the world swirls around the plug hole. And while he was actively looking for the Prayer Thread (which indicates to me he has something going on where he truly needs prayers… I hope he finds the comfort he is looking for🙏), only the regulars here understand Garrison’s devotion to us, to music, and his beloved wife. Music is so personal, so so personal. But can’t have an attack on those things we hold dear.
I hope you have an unruffled week, so to speak. I’m sure you know what I mean🤗.
😉
Wait till he sees all the cat videos and pictures!
😂😂😂!!! Who could find anything but joy in those, B??
Betsy, I shot off an email to Clay this morning explaining the difference ‘twixt the two threads. Hopefully he has gotten it by now. 😉
Oh I’m so so glad, Ad rem. Thank you for that. I did visit the prayer thread and didn’t see him there. I do truly hope he’s all right. Bless you for following up. B
🙂 Thanks Ad rem.
Indeed Clay. You are sounding a little foolish. This has never been for prayers only. I miss WeeWeed’s daily cartoon offerings lately as well.
Hit on the burning candle icon under “Prayer Requests” and you’ll find your page.
With all due respect Mr. Budreau,I have seen some of your wonderful prayers posted here before, and I wish you would post them here again. We would all benefit.
However, your comments here do not seem to be aligned with the tone of your prayers as I remember them.Your seemingly snarky and condescending comments appear to be contrary to the disposition that I personally sensed in you.Perhaps I was wrong…it would not be the first time.
We all have things that we disagree with. For example,I am not interested in the whatever awards thing that was going on last night in Ca.But if someone wants to comment on it,go ahead….I just scroll om past and go on my merry way. This stands as well for any other topic I am not concerned with.
We,or at least I should say I, have good days and bad days.Sometimes, for whatever reason,I wake up on the wrong side of the bed,and am just as ornery as can be.Other days not so much.I don’t know and would not pretend to know,if this might not be the case with you.
I do look forward however, to reading more of your prayers here.May the good Lord bless you and everyone here in every way, today and always.Pax vobis my friends.
P.S.- Mrs. Betsy…you are a very kind soul and a very special person.
Good morning, CBB💓 and bless you, truly.
I have responded to Clay on other threads over time. His tone really did take me aback. Which is why I wonder here (and elsewhere on this thread) if there’s not something that’s bothering him in his life. We have our “Internet Face”, but so much of what is going on in our individual lives we don’t allow when we post. That’s the position I try to take when, like you, someone who normally posts sensible and thoughtful comments seems to veer off course. These disturbing days, one just doesn’t know. All blessings to you, sir🙏B
Amen.I am much more “diplomatic” here online than I am in “the real world”.In the real world,I am very much closer to the responses that we see from our friend Mr Mungrel,or the response from our dear friend Mr. Garrison.
However,I am extremely tense about the situation we find ourselves in the world today.Personally,I try to refrain from my normal default of GO F@CK YOURSELF,and then resort to fistacuffs.I am getting too old for that, and it is not very ‘christianlike’.
I am not a very good christian, but I am trying to be better.
Thank you for your kind words, consideration and the very positive role model that you are.Blessings to you as well.
I will check back later this evening,as I always do…Am off to work in the coal mines, and I am the head canary.Be well.:-)
Casco, I resemble this comment. 😂. Betsy is indeed good for my attitude, behavior and my soul. She’s a treasure!! ❤️
I’m revisiting and scrolling, scrolling, Cat.
No Frank for a few days. Thinking, given his landscaping and tax preparation, both are keeping him occupied. But we normally see GrandpaM by now…and nothing.
Given all his and his families’ physical travails, I am praying he and they are all right or getting better. Then again, he DID say last night he was planning to visit the alcohol “medicinal” cabinet after all the recent events. so who knows? 😉
Hope to see him today or I’ll start making up my own stories.🙏
I’ve been looking for Frank and Grandpa too. Hoping all is well. Life gets in the way sometimes. Love you guys 😘 fingers crossed 🤞
Head canary, are you?😂 I hope you come out as you went in.
Of course we all fall short…ALL! And then we arise, dust ourselves off, and are always given another chance through the priceless gift of grace. I think it’s all a part of the perfecting our faith and service, which is never done in one moment. I’ll try with you. Thank goodness for His patience and forebearance.
Mungrel, btw, has one of the best, most honest, loving hearts I’ve ever known. A righteous man who would fight, and has, for the least amongst us. He doesn’t bend or break for any man or entity. A man of fine principles…and a man whose we’ve taken to our hearts here. Smart and giving. I’m certain he’s one of God’s fiercest warriors.
Go forth, Head Canary…do your best…we’ll see you anon. B

Dude, just stop. You’re playing to the wrong audience!
It’s an OPEN thread. How could you misunderstand “OPEN”?
Here’s a song for you. I guessed you like elevator music … no DJ chatter … just floor announcements.
The Animals single cover of “House of the Rising Sun” sold 5 million copies world wide.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Animals_discography
I tried to find worldwide sales figures for Frigid Pink’s version, but no luck. There are many great covers of that song in all genres. Dolly Parton did a great cover.
Wow!!! Old times/good times.
My good brothers and sisters….don’t ever forget. It might just be a beautiful morning…..Hugh Jackman might know something about it….
Winking cows, laughing willows, the world of a singing wolverine is surely strange.
The sounds of the Earth are like music! I love this. It reminds me of the dawn song all over the world by all the birds every morning, as they sing their song to God in thanks for the new morning.
First thing in the morning, as I’m waiting for the kettle to boil for a cup of tea, I step out to feed our resident feral cat, who makes his insistence loudly known, and listen for those birds singing their songs of praise.
This morning there was a yellowish quarter moon, and a single brilliant star (planet? North Star?) peeping through the skeletal branches of trees about to show their spring apparel. So peaceful. But the birdsong was lovely. Little wrens, possibly the loudest and purest (who would think so tiny a bird could produce such melodies?). Like you, RT, that is how I interpret their song. Glorious!
How beautiful a picture you draw Betsy. Hoping my snow goes away AGAIN, so I may partake on the birdies, snowdrops, and all things spring. Enjoy those wrens for me please, my friend ❤️
Oh I will, Cat. They have surprised me, as I was not aware of their massive presence before. Finches as well, and our woodpecker husband and wife, though I’ve seen her once only.
This has been the oddest March for us. Usually by this time all the blossoms on the pear and redbud trees have made an appearance. But they are only now appearing. I do hope your snow disappears and stays disappeared. I figure were about 2-3 weeks behind (for us). Need rain!!🙏
March 28 2012 Earl Scruggs, American bluegrass banjo player (Flatt & Scruggs – “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”; “Ballad of Jed Clampett”), dies from natural causes at 88
Was 85 when he did this……
Love it! Thanks for posting this. 🙂
The Lord’s Prayer as taught to us by Jesus. The traditional version.
A few weeks ago, the pastor from my parents’ church came to visit my 80+ year old parents in their home and provide communion. I was there. She [the pastor] asked which version of the Lord’s Prayer they preferred, to which they replied “the traditional version”. Though it had been at least a decade since I heard that version aloud and four decades since I learned it during confirmation, the words came rushing back to me and my lips eager to recite them before their turn.
I thank my parents for instilling in me the importance of my connection with The Son, The Father, and The Holy Spirit. Amen.
My parents did the same for me, William. And as I’ve said here before, one of my most prized possessions is a small Book of Common Prayer, in which is some of the most beautiful traditional language ever written, and from which I post so many of those lovely prayers.
Moreover, at unexpected moments during the day, I find myself mentally reciting parts of the Morning, or Evening, Service from memory, so entrenched are the words. Very comforting and extremely reassuring.
Two interesting bits of news from this year’s Oscars which I did not watch.
This years Best Actor winner was Will Smith. During the Oscar broadcast, actor-comedian Chris Rock started joking about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinket Smith’s becoming bald due to a medical issue. The Smith’s son was present. Smith yelled from the audience for Rock to stop it. Rock told another joke about her baldness so Smith left his seat, walked up on stage and smacked Rock across the face. 3 CHEERS for Will Smith!!!
There is a video Sundance uses here where a redheaded woman is looking out over a stormy sea from ashore. You never see her face but that woman is Jessica Chastain. Jessica Chastain won the Best Actress Oscar this year.
I haven’t seen anything from the Oscars. I have no desire to. Gone are the days of elegance and decorum.
I couldn’t help but remember the days of the beautiful couture dresses on women who knew how to wear them and the gentlemen in their tuxedos. Actresses such as the truly beautiful Grace Kelly (in name and in nature). Actors, real men, who when I was younger, I used to swoon over.
All that is gone now, replaced by slugfests and vulgarity and invective. That elegance and decorum has left the stage, and I don’t much care for what has taken its place.
One thing, Boogywstew…it occurs to me that the whole thing could have been staged. Don’t discount that possibility, as the viewing for this remnant of a once entertaining evening has shrunk yearly almost to nothing. A room full of ideologue actors, and cameras? I wouldn’t be surprised.
Blessings to you, sir.
I have read several places that it was staged. I did not watch it either. There is no longer any movies that are worth seeing there is no reason to watch those idiots. You are right, all the elegance and decorum is gone.
Marti…try to find the British movies “What We Did on our Holiday”, Hector and the Search to Happiness”, and ” About Time”….each one a delight. I keep recommending g these three because they are SO opposite from the dreck out of Hollywood.
And like you, I haven’t seen anything from that den of iniquity I’d consider watching. Do give the three a mention a look see. I promise you’d love them💖
It has all the earmarks of both a massive marketing scheme and a massive distraction. Complete with a division of the people into warring camps.
I mean seriously, arguing over if it is something worth arguing about. Or polluting our minds with.
The number of mentions today on this often media unfriendly site is proof that it is a very successful scheme. And fighting over it is quite a distraction from all the things that matter.
But isn’t that what entertainment is for? An escape from this harsh world? The circus half of the Roman technique to control the crowds. Quite different from all those Greek tragedies. Which are still escapes. But not nearly as entertaining as a gladiator fight. Even if it was just a wussy slap.
Oh it is successful, Jim…eyeballs are important for these people. Should work a treat for next year’s “festivities” for many. As the old song goes…”But Not for Me”. Nor you either I’ll bet😉 B
I guess my love of seeing someone stand up for his wife, maybe in an inappropriate way, took over. Maybe it was a charade? Until I see hard evidence of that, I’ll enjoy the memory.
I think Will Smith could have dropped an Atomic Bomb on the Academy by refusing the Oscar he won later in the evening and stated his embarrassment for the crowd’s behaviour instead of slapping Chris Rock. Smith was filmed laughing at the first of Rock’s creepy jokes but I give him a pass on that due to embarrassment. It was an ugly scene but handling it by refusing the Oscar would have been the class act way to go.
I understand that…I really do…because like you my husband wouldn’t wait 5 seconds to stand for me. If you’re married, I am sure you’re the same.
Chivalry is not quite dead, but there are ways and there are ways. I really don’t understand what has happened to us. As for refusing the Oscar? Perhaps. It certainly would have been more gentlemanly. And in doing so would have garnered high praise for Smith and even bigger headlines. Yes, that would have been the better option. B
For you Betsy…
Oh parichute!!! I have just wallowed in every second of that.💖 And unexpected tears of course. That puts into perspective all we’ve lost. Was there a man more elegant than Fred Astaire?? I think not…sigh… And Rita Hayworth, who I never thought of as a dancer first? Sheer beauty in appearance and both in movement. The musical accompaniment is what finished it for me, as far as the feelings the whole video engendered. Just perfection!
I’ve been struggling for just the right word to describe how I felt watching them. Wistful is the one, I think, and I bet you’d agree. How wonderful you are to go to the trouble of finding and posting this most splendid reminder of what was…and I do thank you so much!🤗😘B
Hi Betty, it was no trouble at all and you are surely welcomed – my husband and I watch an eclectic bunch of videos on YouTube about you-name-it and we saw one similar to this one over the weekend… (when your post above mentioned ( beautiful couture dresses on women who knew how to wear them and the gentlemen in their tuxedos.) I knew I had to sent it to you, if I find the exact one (which I thought was superior to the one I posted, I will ping you. One of the gowns was speechlessly, wonderfully gorgeous). We said the same thing about Rita – did not know of her as a ‘serious’ dancer, but oh, my was she ever. Wistful is for sure – Nostalgic too, works for me. As for Fred, he was unrivaled (in my book)
Betsy, of course. I’ve just re-read your post and want to acknowledge your feeling of ‘all we’ve lost’ (since then). It is a shame, really – elegance and grace are hard to find.
That was the reason for my sniffling as I watched it, p. And that’s where the Welsh word “hiraeth” comes in…meaning a nostalgia for something lost that’s not coming back. This is a perfect example of it. If you find the other, I’ll look very much forward to seeing it. Thank you!!😘
And you’re right…no one could have touched him….Gene Kelly came reeeeally close, but Fred was just classy.
I’m not a big fan of the Oscars, or of the current Hollywood Cabal, but news of that incident is EVERYWHERE so I watched it.
Wow! Smith delivered one heck of an openhanded slap to Chris Rock!
There is video of Smith laughing at the joke initially, while his wife has a totally different (hurt) reaction. That’s when Smith left his seat and went up on stage to silence Rock.
About 15 minutes after that incident, Smith won his Oscar and gave what appears to be a very raw, heartfelt speech. You might want to watch it.
I absolutely will! Thanks for the head’s up!
MEGA DITTO!!! Keep the trash outside
This is an Open Thread. I didn’t watch the awards show either, but the first topic in Boogy’s post is certainly newsworthy and legitimate subject matter for posting in an Open Topic thread.
I’m not sure what is causing the caustic responses of a few Treepers here this morning but such comments are not inline with the site’s Guidelines for posting.

Apparently. A case of the Monday grouchies…

Isn’t There Some Misunderstanding
“Let us go to Judea again.” The disciples said to Him, “…are You going there again?” —John 11:7-8
Just because I don’t understand what Jesus Christ says, I have no right to determine that He must be mistaken in what He says. That is a dangerous view, and it is never right to think that my obedience to God’s directive will bring dishonor to Jesus. The only thing that will bring dishonor is not obeying Him. To put my view of His honor ahead of what He is plainly guiding me to do is never right, even though it may come from a real desire to prevent Him from being put to an open shame. I know when the instructions have come from God because of their quiet persistence. But when I begin to weigh the pros and cons, and doubt and debate enter into my mind, I am bringing in an element that is not of God. This will only result in my concluding that His instructions to me were not right. Many of us are faithful to our ideas about Jesus Christ, but how many of us are faithful to Jesus Himself? Faithfulness to Jesus means that I must step out even when and where I can’t see anything (see Matthew 14:29). But faithfulness to my own ideas means that I first clear the way mentally. Faith, however, is not intellectual understanding; faith is a deliberate commitment to the Person of Jesus Christ, even when I can’t see the way ahead.
Are you debating whether you should take a step of faith in Jesus, or whether you should wait until you can clearly see how to do what He has asked? Simply obey Him with unrestrained joy. When He tells you something and you begin to debate, it is because you have a misunderstanding of what honors Him and what doesn’t. Are you faithful to Jesus, or faithful to your ideas about Him? Are you faithful to what He says, or are you trying to compromise His words with thoughts that never came from Him? “Whatever He says to you, do it” (John 2:5).
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
God does not further our spiritual life in spite of our circumstances, but in and by our circumstances.
Howdy Feral one,
I have had very little opportunity to anwser any reply, why is to much to say now.
Your sixth sense in sniffing pizza is correct.
Without going on a subject monologue the easiest explanation can be found in the Tarantino flick pulp fiction.
The scene where they send in “The Wolf”, Mr cleanup to mitigate the ‘mess’ is exactly what they doo.
Take in hold though that “Mr Wolf” is a projection of their true selves, difference being “Mr Wolf” has the backing of the biggest crime syndicate in history.
The so called judge should be mauled Mungrel way!
Ok Minnie.
On the question of shooting prisoners. I will not address the evil aspect. It is obvious. But will address the practical issues.
In the end such acts are counter productive.
From the business angle, prisoners are expensive. Health care for wounds, food and clothing etc. It never ceases to amaze me how the human treats another human. Even in a ‘civilized’ society.
The expense is somewhat reduced if you have their own captured medics take care of them. Really though letting the wounded be retrieved by their own forces is most economical move. A wounded man requires a lot more assets to be used as compared to dealing with a dead one. In fact in war it is better to wound than to kill for that very reason.
Man’s inhumanity to man is a fact of history that is evinced today.
You lead me to a question: What exactly IS a ‘civilized’ society?
Given the lack of civility – shown by the Oscan’s host (which triggered Wil Smith – rightly IMHO) – what makes us ‘civilized’?
Riots in cities? CRT training? Loosening of ‘dress codes’? Being rude – or snubbing – or bullying?
from the Dictionary:
civilized
sĭv′ə-līzd″
adjective-Having a highly developed society and culture.
-Showing evidence of moral and intellectual advancement; humane, ethical, and reasonable.
-Marked by refinement in taste and manners; cultured.
Kinda makes me wonder….
ms. Idaho
As bad as it seems we are actually far more civilized today than we have been any time in the past. This is a bit dated but still holds true today:
Is War Over? — A Paradox Explained – YouTube
I’ll take your word for it. I don’t do videos
rah, I do not agree “we are actually far more civilized today…” for many reasons the woke culture but one of them.
I am speaking globally based on the amount of violence and war, not about any specific country.
Put it this way, on the Kardashev scale ( explanation found here) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kardashev_scale – after all our collective triumphs and disasters these past few thousands of years (and more) – after we’re done putting away the silverware and patting ourselves on the back for how “cutting edge” out tech is, the actual truth is, we’re barely past scraping our knuckles on the ground. Whether we ever achieve “higher” depends on what we do right now. Sadly, for now at least, it appears man as a species hasn’t learned a damn thing. But, I have a feeling this time is going to be different.
agreed. a la Clinton – it depends on what the meaning of ‘civilized’ is..
Civilized society is when German soldiers surrendered to British, Canadian or US soldiers and they were sent to farms in Canada or US or allowed to work in Britain where they became friends with natives. Tales of Italian Americans going into war meeting Italian prisoners going to a farm camp in Kentucky where the dago prisoner is far better off than the one heading to the killing fields.
All was pretty friendly until reports of the death camps came to light. Then the allies did not want to be friends with the krauts anymore.
Meanwhile Hitler and Stalin had murdered millions. And the death toll in China surpassed them all. And the Japanese conducted experiments, some of US POWS in Korea, that rivaled what Mengele was doing in Germany,
I haven’t watched the Oscars since they gave that communist Michael Moore an Oscar for Bowling for Columbine. But you can’t get away from the news of Will Smith smacking Chris Rock. I guess the hosts need to ask for hazardous duty pay in the future. I await the first shooting.
Come to think of it. If they start shooting each other I might start watching it again.
I did not hear anything about the oscar news, so I successfully got “away from it” till I read boogeystew’s post above.
reason #217 to not watch. What a pathetic joke hollywood is.
I went looking for the Oscar results for the 2021 version of “West Side Story”. I love the original 10 Oscar winning version which was nominated for 11 Oscars.
Spielberg’s version was nominated for 7 and won 1. I had seen some dancing scenes which were cut enough that I could have played Bernardo.
I noticed that Spielberg’s woke version has made 75 million and is considered a flop. Spielberg spent 100 million making it and with advertising etc. etc. they need to make 300 million to break even.
I find great movies are still being made but you have to really hunt for them. There are still great old movies that I have never seen.
No kidding, what if Chris Rock had joked around about Alex Baldwin’s wife?
There’s be nothing of him left.
He’d be asked to co-star in Alex’s next gunslinging movie.
Baldwin would claim that his real arm was replaced by a prop arm and he didn’t know what it was going to do.
I used to enjoy looking at all the fancy dresses. I remember the last Oscars I watched. It was like a one/two punch of liberal idiocy. Instead of presenting awards, Richard Gere started talking about the plight of the Dalai Lama and Susan Sarandon started talking about a boatload of Haitians stuck off the coast of Florida, their only crime being they all had AIDS. I turned it off at that point. I remember going into work the next morning and saying, “those people have absolutely nothing to say to me.”
Don’t forget Marlon Brando’s Indian woman stand in for his Oscar. That was the start of the rot.
Since John Wayne got one for me .
In our study of Isaiah 45 yesterday, we spent quite a bit of time on this profound nugget:
9 “Woe to him who strives with him who formed him,
a pot among earthen pots!
Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your work has no handles’?
10 Woe to him who says to a father, ‘What are you begetting?’
or to a woman, ‘With what are you in labor?’”
11 Thus says the Lord,
the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him:
“Ask me of things to come;
will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands?[c]
12 I made the earth
and created man on it;
Here are the clear meanings. First, the created has no right to say to God, “Why did you create me this way?” It was simply God’s choice to make you as you are. The clay pot does not look at the potter and ask why there are no handles.
In the same vein, the children born of mothers and fathers are God’s choice. It is incredulous to ask the father what is he begetting or the mother with what are you pregnant. Neither knows what God will choose to create until it has already been created.
We can not command God concerning his creation as we have no right to do so, but that is the complaint of the depraved mind. “I know better than the one that created me!” is the petulant demand of the forever child in defiance of the one that created all things.
See Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and all the climate “cultists” who not only feel they know better than God, but who, in fact, think they are God. I’ve come to the point where I actually believe they consider themselves omnipotent and have appointed themselves to that position.
Howdy Leenie, I read your post on mp1 but had no time to reply so I left a rather cryptic reply on today’s mp1 , I’m sure you’ll understand ☺ .
Got it! Thank you!

“Its a Disaster”: Aussie Noise Nuisance Court Defeat Panicking Renewable Energy Investors – Watts Up With That?
There is no doubt that wind turbines emit harmful infrasound. This is one reason you see them out in the country in fields or on hills or mountains and most people would rather have a landfill/dump or a limestone quarry move into their area than a wind farm.
There is another reason also. One would think that putting wind turbines on the top of high rise structures in a city would be a good idea. After all you then have the generator about as close to the user as it can get there by minimizing the loss of power that comes with transmission over wire.
But the infrasound doesn’t only have a damaging effect on humans and other animals. It also can work like Tesla’s oscillator causing a damage to the structure of the building when the frequency is right.
And then of course there would be the potential disaster when blades get fragmented in a storm or the generation unit catches fire, both of which happen at times.
In my work of 40 years, my job was to analyze machines to prevent mechanical failures. In doing that, it was necessary to study how things fail and why. Two things are almost certain with a failure: It is incredibly difficult to predict the moment of failure or its severity. My job was to discover the mechanisms of failure and notify the customer that a particular machine was in the process of failing. They would nearly always ask two questions: How long before failure and what will be the result of failure? Neither could be answered precisely. All I could answer was that if repaired now, the costs of a catastrophic failure would be avoided. Those costs can be enormous. It was sometimes many months or even years before that failure finally happened, but they all eventually happen.
I have also had an opportunity to work on projects in which normal operations created bad results. One of the most memorable was the steel mill that would generate bad product when the once per day train went by the building. The bedrock under the rails was connected to the foundation of the machine and the train forces would shake the machine. It was a problem that took many months to find. We know that wind generators create forces through both their foundations and in the air pressure pulsations that are created by removing energy from a moving mass. These can be predicted and measured quite precisely. What we can not know precisely is the effect to things upon which those forces are applied. Some of those may be quite damaging. We just do not know.
Back to that steel mill. An engineer had set up a 24-hour recording device to record vibration and noise from the machine to see if he could determine the mechanical condition that was causing the problem. It had been running for many weeks with no success. On a whim, he decided to hook up headphones to the recorded signals to see if he could hear the problem occurring. To get assistance, they set up a speaker system and the team was listening to noise in a conference room. One of the people in the room was the mechanic that had worked on the problem. He asked one question: Why is that train horn in every recording?
The engineers were so focused on their problem and the train horn was simply a horn. It was a separate thing. They had heard it, but it could not be a problem. It was just a train. That is what we are going to find with some of these installations. The horn is there the whole time but it will not be connected to the damage it is causing until it is much too late.
Fascinating. You might find this interesting:

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Dzien Dobry Ms Idaho 🙋♀️
Sending you good wishes and energy on your latest mission of relocating. Been reading about your amazing progress! You can dance circles around some of the young uns with your positive energy ❤️
Thank you Cat. Today it feels like my get up and go – got up and left.
Doesn’t change what has to be done tho
On the plus side, we do not have a house full of furniture – art works, appliances or anything big to move – just the little stuff you accumulate – under the counters, in drawers, paper (file cabinets) .
As i said yesterday, you have to ‘handle’ each one. Why do we have ‘this’ which we have NOT used in YEARS? Cause I like it and want it! But there is NO PLACE to put it – except a storage unit. Oh, OK – to the Youth Ranch. Let someone else ‘love’ it
Dang, girl!!! Where did you find all that energy??
Maybe the energizer bunny is her sister?
you laugh – but sometimes just keeping going does feel like the ‘energizer bunny’.
Its not that you do anything hard – you just have to keep going. For instance, we have 2 filing cabinet drawers. You have to examine each hanging file for content. If its a keeper it goes in a plastic box for storage. If not, pages have to be checked for ‘personal info’. maybe paper torn or put thru the shredder and thrown.
Then we have 2 plastic boxes with drawers. More pens, magic markers, clips and paperclips than the law allows – contents reviewed for ‘Youth Ranch’, throw or keep. Its all sitting down work…
On the plus side – that part is done with 2 days to go. Waiting to hear from my friend who will help us move – hope he can make a trip to empty out the donations.
Found out an interesting tidbit today re: the new owners and their new lease. At least 7 of us will not be staying on. If that number is true that’s about 10 % of the total apartments. So we weren’t the only ones who got red flags on the future of staying here. I’m sure each of us has a different story. Since the average age of tenants is 86 there may be some who are moving to assisted living or memory care facilities.
I said it before – maybe not to you – but it is much better to do this move under control rather than face it under some of the other options folks our age are facing. PS – if I go dark (and I don’t mean Wednesday) say a prayer for me.
Actually, some of your energy must be rubbing off on me. Lots of procrastination on my end. You’ve got me looking at stuff differently and wanting to actually gut the few junk drawers I have. 😊 thank you☺️
I like how you say, “it is much better to do this move under control rather than face it under some of the other options”. I only hope I grow into being as wise as most treepers here ❤️
You’re always in my prayers, Ms Idaho. Remember…when I wake dear Lord I pray, bless and guide me through the day 😘
Cat
You have to realize that my outlook on God is closer to that expressed by Mungrel and some others here. I am not ‘devout’, a reader of the Bible, follower of psalms, or a church goer.
I do not view myself as a sinner, a la born in sin (per early Catholic teaching), needing to be baptized or confessing my ‘sins’ daily. What sins? I burnt the toast?
I say ‘doing the best I can with what I’ve got’ – and that’s really all any of us can do. Not only that, I don’t believe you can do it wrong. I know – heresy!
Years ago in Oklahoma City some ‘missionaries’ knocked on my door. I tried politely to send them away. They persisted. Finally one said ‘Do you know where your soul is going when you die?’ I said no, but where ever you are going I’ll meet you there. They left in a huff.
You see, I do not give anyone ‘permission’ to tell me how to live my life. Nor do I seek answers in the Bible, or from Priest and Pastors – tho I completely understand those who do.
I can’t say I believe God talks to me – or guides me personally. I do believe we are put on this earth to learn lessons, help others as best we can with whatever skills and tools we are given. Others are here for us to help THEM.
And yet, if you pay attention, you can tell there are some things you are supposed to do and some that are not given to you. Sort of like the drinking man’s prayer – Oh, Lord, Please help me to know the difference. Seems to me busybodies spend time telling others how to live their lives, while often their own lives need tending.
I don’t forgive those who sin against me because I don’t see them as doing anything wrong. By their standards they are doing ‘right’. I just stay out of their way. I don’t collect grudges and say them daily like a rosary.
Example – what our gummit is doing seems awful. I believe (as Dianne Marshall says on all her posts) God’s got this. However He wants this to end, it will end. Even if that ending is our complete destruction and it all starts again as algae.
One flick of the finger.
I do not pray FOR things. I thank God every day for the wonderful life I live and have lived. For the wonderful family and friends I have. I only pray FOR favors for others – not for me and mine.
I am happy for each day, for the friends and family I have, for the wonderful Treehouse ‘home’. Whenever I feel sorry for myself I remind myself the world is full of people whose lives are full of pain and misery. Mine may not be all I want it to be, but …. well, you get the idea.
You, Betsy and Mungrel (in particular, but not exclusively) are wonderful, caring, OLD SOULS. If you believe in such things (and I don’t doubt it)
As the song goes – You Light Up My Life
🙂
Ms Idaho, what a beautiful outlook on life that you thought enough to share! I think we share a lot of the same philosophies of life and people 😊
In the past short months of my postings here, I’ve made many new internet friends, ones who can be counted on to bring a smile, a kind word or a chuckle or put something in perspective. I stand shoulder to shoulder in saying the treehouse is indeed a most cherished family and am most grateful for its existence
You are one special lady. You fly, you hop, you leap an rv in a single bound and you never lose a positive outlook on life.
I will carry your words like a guardian angel on my shoulder. it’s kinda crowded up there, with Betsy’s, mungrel’s, et al “whisperings”. All of you have encouraged me to be a kinder, gentler, person. To remember to be nicer to others than I have been for half a century. (That sounds awfully long) sigh. I hope to enjoy treeper exchanges for a least a few more years to come with more life lessons I can utilize in my daily life. ❤️
Thank you ☺️ 💕
Why are we not demanding that the government walk the walk if they’re going to talk the talk? EVs for them ALL! Long over due IMO>
Start with the Presidential Limo and all the SUVs used by the Secret Service. Then on to the SUVs used to transport the various other politicians and administrators. Then, starting with the EPA and NASA GISS, and NOAA, go through all of the agencies including the huge fleet that the various G grades use.
All should be being converted to EVs now as should every State administration that is going whole hog in this scam.
Of course no one in the MSM seems to have the stones to ask the hard questions and point out their lies. But surely a few from the right can start calling them on their BS and make enough of a stink that they have to answer the questions.
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

I encourage Treepers to take a few minutes for David Icke’s insightful assessment as to what is behind most of not all of our current problems, followed by uplifting message as to why the malevolent force behind our problems will not succeed.
Thank you GB for posting this. I watched twice to try to fully understand icke. I’ve personally witnessed the power of God’s word and showing of the cross drive away the evil ones from my land. Besides prayers recited and crosses erected throughout my forest, I wish there was something more I could do, to repel this evil. May God help us. It truly will be a battle to the end. Have faith in the Lord and pray incessantly. And love, always love. ❤️
Nice fuzzy feels but guess what. Russian philosophers and poets were singing the same unicorn songs as the real boot of Communism fell on their necks.
Just ask Solzhenitsyn.
It is hard to put down wacky conspiracy theories nowadays, because wacky conspiracy theories are coming true all the time now, and sometimes it seems the wackier the truer it is.
This one is sorely testing that premise.
But the evil being implemented in these conspiracies are sure coming from a lot of wacky people. So maybe it takes a wacky person to see them and understand them.
And as wacky as I am, I am giving this one a hard pass.
“US facing ‘massive shortage’ of conspiracy theories as all of them have come true”
I watched “The Secret:. Dare To Dream” (John Lucas, Katie Holmes) last night on Roku/Amazon Prime. It came out a couple years ago.
It was really good with a great uplifting message.
Here’s the trailer:
So, Leenie has some guilty secrets… (LOL). a soap opera, Hallmark movies, harlequin Romance novels, (okay that was a long time ago…) Golden Girls, when I wake up at 12:00 and have a bowl of cereal….
The number of Pharmaceutical ads is mind blowing. Solve all your problems!!! (Ignore the side effects…). “Talk to your doctor!” “Want another prescription? Go see your doctor again!” Get more meds! Go see your doctor! Take the 3 fruit and veggie capsules every day! Don’t forget vitamin D, and C and B…nexium for an upset stomach, high blood pressure med, cholesterol med, drops in your eyes for glaucoma, nicotinamide for glaucoma…
We had insurance for my ophthalmologist that we had to change (cobra ran out.). My last appointment I gave them my new insurance. $155.00 co-pay. I get an invoice telling me they did not accept my new insurance and I owed them an additional $300.00. I paid it and called the doctor’s office and told them we were not paying $455.00 for a 1/2 hour appointment every 6 months, how do I switch my records?
I was informed I could pay “out of insurance.” I asked her how much it would have been, had I been “out of insurance.”
Wait for it.. $115.00! “Out of insurance” was cheaper than my co-pay with insurance. RACKET!!!!!
Do say a prayer for Mr. Leenie!! Leenie was apoplectic!
Yep! The same for cars. Out of pocket a great deal less than insurance.
❤️
Crap, Rah! Who knew? Old dogs learning new tricks! (Mungrel would be so ashamed!!!!!)
thanks for that rah
We have a good 2005 Jeep that must last – who knows how long?
the ‘insurance’ ads are catchy – but I suspected what you stated
I have a Med Adv plan–dorzolimide and latanaprost for glaucoma–$0
Crap, Joe!!!!! That’s what I am supposed to be doing!!!! MED ADV?
Curious…I said on my “chart”that my grandmother was diagnosed itch glaucoma.” Suddenly, my doctor was vey concerned with my field of vision test. (She is an ophthalmologist.). Recommended I go to the local university specialist where they preformed all of the same tests. Then recommended I have a laser procedure to relieve the pressure. “No pain, Easy peasy!” Total lie. Then I understood why that would not do both eyes at the same time. I asked te surgeon if the procedure was a one and done? No. And the more frequently you have it done the less effective it is. (I should hav walked out right then.)
My pressure is below the normal range…but someone with :glaucoma…they want it lower.
Sorry. This is making me nuts!!!!
Leenie – Doc had glaucoma before he got his lenses replaced. That surgery reduces the pressure. For a number of years before that he convinced our eye doctor that 8 capsule of Ultra Omega Linic per day would lower the pressure – and it did. Available at TimeLabs.com
More recently I have been worried about both wed and dry Macular Degeneration. I have had an eye bleed which is ‘treated’ with monthly injections. The dry has no cure or treatment.
Then I found info on recent studies involving L-Tryptophan. What it does is produce NAD+ – a version of B3 or Niacin which the body uses to effect DNA repair. In all my years working with nutrition I have NEVER seen any nutrient that did that.
I will gladly post a way for you to search for the info – I have a pdf but don’t know how to link that in.
And, you know of course, that the medical people you are working with will know nothing about it and maybe say ‘Well, if you want to’….but….we know THIS does THAT.
8 capsules?!
I did research and found two groups, one in NYC, one in Sydney, who were doing glaucoma research. I checked out their grants and the donors and the studies. Both groups were researching Nicotinamide.. A B-3 COMPLEX VITAMIN!!! The point of the studies was that Glaucoma is not a “pressure”disease. It is a vascular disease. Both clinical trials are still happening and the results are promising. I asked my internist: “If I wanted to start taking this supplement, how much would I take and what may be side effects?” She said 500 mg once a day…no side effects…
When I went back to the Glaucoma “specialist,” I told him what I was taking and why…his response, “How do you know about that? I’m impressed.”
“Why didn’t you tell me about that???”
Leenie – add 500 mg L-Tryptophan. It works with Nicotinamide (which is niacinamide). It produces NAD +. The other nutrients are ‘helpers’. Remember, all the Bs need all the B Vits to work – so a good multi is important. Also, add the essential fatty acids of your choice. Essential means your body’s gotta have ’em and won’t make them from anything else you eat.

ms Idaho thanks so much for talking about this. My last eye exam reported that I was developing M/D due to high blood pressure. I’ve printed out your recommendations. Thanks again!
Re: 8 capsules question. When Doc had high numbers on his glaucoma tests the went from his usual 8 / day Ultra Omega Linic (TimeLabs.com) to 16 for a month or so then went for a retest. Every time the numbers returned to ‘normal’

Ms Idah0,
Read it. Do you understand my problem? Between Prescriptions for blood pressure, cholesterol, vitamin D, vitamin b, nicotinamide, melatonin to sleep, vitamin c, I feel like I’m swallowing pills all day long!
also Nicotinamide is a Vitamin B supplement without the nasty side effects…i..e hot flashes.!
Medicare?
I don’t think I qualify!
I have a prepping question. Everyone says we need to have water. Is that true for those of us on the East Coast? I mean, we have some water (probably two weeks’ worth of drinking water if we were mostly immobile and not sweating) and if times got tough, we could drink the stuff in the hot water heater. But I’m thinking we could catch rain water and if we sterilized it that would be ok. Is there some reason we would need more than a few cases of water bottles?
Two weeks? Try two months.
X- number of 5-gallon jugs of Deer Park from the store.
Or alternately, buy empties and fill at home with tap water (add 3-4 drops of Clorox before closing).
That’s water prepping.
But why is that? It rains here all the time. Occasionally, when we have very bad droughts (like once a decade) it might go a month without a real downpour, but even then there are little rainfalls where if we put out a bunch of buckets we could still catch a fair amount. Should I be worried about the rain water being contaminated by nuclear fallout? Serious question.
What if you have a well?
With all the talk of crypto currencies and petro dollars and Russia selling oil and demanding payment in rubles, exchange rates are going to get really complicated. Therefore, since Starbucks is now ubiquitous, I think the whole world should convert to a standard currency denominated in “Starbucks lattes.” A gallon of gas is worth one and a half lattes. I’ll give you ten lattes for that shirt.
but … but …. I don’t like Starbucks ‘stuff’
