The nationwide average for regular gas is now $4.32 a gallon, according to AAA. Just yesterday it was $4.25. In just a few days gasoline has eclipsed the highest price ever recorded by 20¢. The previous record was $4.11 in July 2008. Unfortunately, there is no end in sight. Anecdotally, my neighborhood gas station went up 75¢/gal in just three days and is now $4.95.
Nationally, Diesel prices are also at record highs, with the average cost at $5.06 a gallon, up almost twenty cents overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. This will increase transportation costs for all goods being delivered. The speed of the current rate of increase is very troublesome.

(Current gas price in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA)
USA today has an estimate of gasoline prices by state – SEE HERE
What is the current price near you?
$4.24 in my little town of Hudsonville, Michigan.
Grocery shelves seem fairly well-stocked here and no panic buying as far as I could see. We are a retired couple with few needs and a low income, but we are being very wise and making sure we have plenty to share.
Psalm 37 gives us much peace in these times …He tells us 3 X … “Do not fret”. Say it louder for the people in the back!
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. They will never fail for the Lord holds them by the hand.”
He is faithful!
Liar correction fake Biden to be hold accountable for everything.

To put our current energy situation in perspective, remember back to Obamacare. Remember how complaining about premiums quadrupling was racist? Leftists were gleeful at families getting hammered by high premiums. They were enjoying people losing their coverage. Did their own premiums go up? Of course. But apply crabs in a bucket theory and you will understand. All that mattered to them was the political power of their party getting its way and forcing Obamacare, and the effects it had on others. It’s no different with energy policy. There is no coexistence with the left any longer.
Spot on. LGBQT or something.
“There is no coexistence with the left any longer.”
When those “In Power” explicitly state they mean to do you harm,
Believe Them!
Like Rush always said: They must be destroyed.
When is this nightmare going to end?
Are we really supposed to wait till next January for some relief after all those Republicans are supposedly elected?
In the northern NY suburbs gas is $4.65 and going up not down.
Heating oil was $5.25 a gallon the other day. Thankfully it’s getting warmer.
I heard the evil sadist Granholm yesterday talking about this being one of the greatest moments in history as we de-industrialize and destroy our country.
The Roumanians had it right.
All of the Bidenistas deserve the Ceaucescu treatment.
Look it up. It was fairly recent- Christmas Day, 1989.
The video clip of him addressing the angry crowd showed his wife yelling “Silence” and he told her to shut up. Three days later they and their evil minions were all shot dead.
One can only dream.
I’m still trying to figure out what the Republicans are going to about anything,
Because I haven’t heard a peep out of them!
Nothing, as usual. We have no representaion…
Romney was hollering “Give them the Migs!” with Lindsey Graham smiling behind him, unaware he was in the camera’s frame.
That’s what Republicans are doing.
They will do nothing. Republicans are democrats that wear American flag pins on their lapels.
5.00 chevron gas here in Cali.
5.99
THAT’s more like it. Misery sure does love Company and we have a Country on it’s knees. FJB
$5.58 per gallon non-ethanol. Panama City Beach Florida. Went up $.40 in a week!
Up another penny. $5.59. Just wait until Summer! Tourists won’t come . THIS is what I expected in the End Times. We are off to a blazing start, no? Just returned from the Supermarket (Publix). My receipt is half-again what I paid for the EXACT same items last year. Last year was 2 1/2 months ago! GOD have mercy on my once-great Nation.
4.39 Charlottesville VA
Savannah, GA: the local Parker’s market was at $4.25 ($4.15 for club price) as of Wednesday. The Sam’s across the street was selling for $3.99. There was a line at Sam’s. Reminds me of the gas panic after Katrina.
Sam’s Club Brunswick, GA
87 Octane $4.099/Gallon 5% back if you use their card
It was $2.859 about a month ago.
2.85 seems like a bargain now.
South Central Kentucky, $3.99. Some a bit higher, none lower.
Absolutely ridiculous dishonest reporting (USA Today) to solely blame Russia for the price spike.
It’s 100% Biden and his handlers.
£1.58 unleaded gas (petrol)…£2 diesel PER LITER…thruout UK.
Those state side, there are 3.7 liter’s per gallon unleaded is $5.85 in pounds sterling per gallon or equivalent of $7.60 per gallon USA.
Orange Park FL down a dime this morning to $3.29 from $3.39 the day before, COSTCO currently $3.09.
Correction, make that $4.29, and $4.09…need more coffee.
Austin, TX $3.99 regular $4.99 diesel
Still $3.999/gal in central Kentucky.
Montgomery County Texas

upstate New York $4.49 for regular; $4.89 for heating oil
$8.55 cdn/imp gal in eastern Ontario Canada.
I had to check. That’s $6.70 USD for 1.2 US gallons. So, about $5.60/gal US? I remember the good old days when we would simply cross over from Detroit to Windsor to get gas ‘on the cheap’ & catch dinner – now it would be a major hassle!
Northern Wisconsin, local truck stop, Wednesday $4.69, Thursday $5.05. Unreal.
Southern Ohio: 3.79. Central Kentucky: 4.06
$6.29 mid grade on one corner and $5.89 if you drive a mile.
Way back in the way back time machine two years ago: $1.75
Highest Gasoline Prices in History
When NOT adjusted for inflation.
It keeps changing…almost daily. Prices increase mid morning, so fill your tank early in the day. I paid $3.94 (cheapest in town) at Costco Monday. It went to $4.04, then $4.15 yesterday. Highest in town is $4.99. Prescott AZ
Just a note on the “good old days” of $1.00/gallon of gas in 1995: depending on whose inflation rate you use, that gasoline would be worth about $1.85 today. Physical changes to the gasoline sold today versus 1995 would add at least one more dollar to the average gallon, and $1.75 in California.
And you could make an econo-meal out of the $0.99/lb ground beef too.
Middle Tennessee $4.09
BBB – Biden’s Breakdown Bamboozle.
Southern Maryland: $4.59/gallon. Also, the price per kWh of electricity increased 20% last fall….let’s see if it goes up again.
Walmart has it at 3.89, everyone else 3.99-4.09 east Alabama.
87 Octane was $4.14.9 at my local Valero herein East Texas (White Oak).
Brandon doing a fine job! Just as good as we all knew he could. Let’s go, Brandon!
My older brother was at a Quick Trip (metro Atlanta) and as the sun was rising was filling up his truck. These are large gas stations with with as many as a couple dozen islands. He has several trucks and as the cost got into the stratosphere he yelled “Let’s go Brandon!” Then all the way across the islands a man yelled F_uck Joe Biden! He said everybody was laughing and smiling.
Every mothers son will feel these gas prices. This will force the cost of everything up. We’ll see if the normies break their trance.
I track every gas purchase on my new pickup, starting in May of 2020.
I filled up for $1.65 on the Monday before Election Day, 2020.
On 2/23/2022, I paid $3.19 on the fill-up. That is double the price before Russia even invaded.
On 3/6/2022, I paid $3.84 a gallon.
This morning, gas was $4.07 when I drove past the pump.
All of these prices are at the same gas station (WalMart Neighborhood Market).
I have all of my gas purchases graphed out on my Facebook page (I know, I know).
https://www.facebook.com/bryan.alexander.568
Note that the 2 big spikes were purchases when I went on vacation out of state. I live in North Alabama.
And SENATE PASSED the gazillion $$$ spending bill.
ALL are tarnished. All have dirt on them, subject to blackmail and scrutiny.
They’ve all taken these junkets to foreign countries and lined their pockets with $$$ and they have no convictions nor can they vote their constituent’s wishes or wants.
Recall Maxine Waters spouting BHO had the files that would forever change capitol hill. She told what we know to be the truth; BHO blackmailed all of congress and HE still has those files…
Gas has gone up $0.50 this month in eastern NC. Almost double from costs 2Y ago. Rural, ag area. Farmers going to get killed with fuel prices. You can believe eating and food costs will skyrocket and spiral.
Yet, there is NO real concern…fat cats on capitol hill insulated from lobby $$ and foreign entity $$$. THESE earmarks for foreign countries come back to them eventually; IT’S WHY foreign aid is sent over; to be returned under the table.
We have no say so, no voice, no representation. WHY are their parties?????? Pols can run as individuals, damn the party. NO diff in any of them. IT’s there for kabuki theatre and the veil to the voters that there is a diff and they hate each other and fight each other…..IT”S ALL CORRUPT. THERE IS NO NEED for parties…High vote gets the seat; what diff does it make if it’s the r or the d or the indy?
Biden’s mark/stain will take a while to unwind and these pols running out here promising a diff in 2022 and 2024 are mealy-mouthed liars, crooks, thieves, deceptors…they won’t do any more of any less than the person sitting in the seat right now….
Central Texas. We are usually pretty close to national average. Diesel hit $5.01 yesterday. Up $.50 in two days.
Dallas, Texas
Monday: 3.90
Tuesday: 4.09
Wednesday: 4.00
Thursday: 4.02
Today: Who knows?
So, are you finally ready to overturn the fraud?
Or do you intend to say that the criminals got away with it – in which case they will do it all over again in 2022, 2024, 2026, 2028, 2030, 2032 … You will never vote again.
“So, are you finally ready to overturn the fraud?”
NOPE. That is the Golden Goose, for both parties, perhaps the world. What the media has steered us into for 2+ years, are many, many, non-stop “squirrels,” each one worse than the “squirrel” before.
Nuclear war and “WWIII” is a pretty big squirrel. Who wants to deal with “election fraud” when facing nuclear annihilation, mass starvation, death by a virus, (or a vaccine,) economic wipe out, et al?
One small problem. Seems that with time, each of the “squirrels” has turned into a chipmunk. And still, small gains are made every day, by some very brave people who have not let the Golden Goose out of their sights. (And I DO mean sights.)
(sorry for the animal analogies…)
The hard-core greens will never flinch at 10$ 0r 20$ per gal. gasoline. Is there a price point where the low-info / congenital democrats start demanding increased domestic production of oil? At what point do the fanatics lose control? Biden and his handlers exhibit a “damn the torpedoes – full speed ahead” attitude. Is there a point where they relent on the campaign to eliminate usage of fossil fuel?
Around Dallas TX its $3.99-4.09 which is about .80-.90 cents higher than it was 2 weeks ago. Numerous stations even went up to $4.19 earlier in the week before dropping back down.
For additional info, I am linking Federal and State Excise Taxes!! Not sure if 2020 is the latest data!
Gas Tax by State 2020 – Current State Diesel & Motor Fuel Tax Rates (igentax.com)
Phx $4.60.
Yesterday, Diesel was 5.45/gallon here in Central PA.
I read that our POS governor is requesting to suspend the federal tax even though they significantly increased state taxes when fuel prices were low. Last I saw, taxes on fuel were about $1/gallon.
Of course those taxes go to fund the
roadsstate police, while bridges collapse.Pensions. Who retires at full pay?? Govt. That’s who.
Sleeves out of their vest – publicity stunt. Federal tax is about 19 cents per gallon. State tax average is 31 cents per gallon.
Gas is now 250 cents more per gallon than last year. Where is the $2.50 going?
Have no doubt that political and elite are profiting enormously from this the massive windfall.. If they drop the gas tax, they will simply print and borrow more money to make up the 19 cents, then skim off the top of that too.
Great article about states waging war on fossil fuels.
Very interesting facts- Russia has been funding Commie Green groups to push the entire BS climate crisis that is behind the push to destroy the energy sector in the world, especially USA.
With fuel prices soaring, the Ukraine war has placed new attention on Russia’s efforts over the years to fund anti-fossil-fuel “green” groups in Western Europe and the U.S.
Their lobbying has helped deepen the world’s dependence on Russian fossil fuels while sapping the U.S. oil and natural gas industry of its momentum—even as the shortcomings of green technologies become more obvious, with power outages and rolling blackouts in places like California.
Back in 2017, a congressional committee quoted a former secretary general of NATO who described Russia’s “sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organizations—environmental organizations working against shale gas—to maintain dependence on imported Russian gas.”
https://www.city-journal.org/states-waging-war-on-fossil-fuels
Again bad Russia
And don’t forget that the last .25 hike in PA gas tax was brought to you by a Republican controlled House and Senate, and signed into law by a Republican governor.
Where I am in NE PA, gas is currently $4.59 a gallon…
Use say Republican I say Uniparty
Fuel taxes should all be earmarked to go for maintaining roads, fixing bridges and improving the flow of traffic.
😂
You can’t be serious?
No slush funds?
No special interests?
NO BUYING VOTES WITH OUR MONEY?
we had a state Constitutional amendment to do just that in Illinois .They raise gas tax $0.38 per gallon then used it to pay state workers pensions .
