The nationwide average for regular gas is now $4.32 a gallon, according to AAA. Just yesterday it was $4.25. In just a few days gasoline has eclipsed the highest price ever recorded by 20¢. The previous record was $4.11 in July 2008. Unfortunately, there is no end in sight. Anecdotally, my neighborhood gas station went up 75¢/gal in just three days and is now $4.95.
Nationally, Diesel prices are also at record highs, with the average cost at $5.06 a gallon, up almost twenty cents overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. This will increase transportation costs for all goods being delivered. The speed of the current rate of increase is very troublesome.

What is the current price near you?
ANNNDD…. the Senate passed the outragious Spending Bill! Color me shocked!
Its all going as planned. Make sure you are stocking up, and buying barter goods. Corps/Govt are coming for our bank accounts!
well the dems did say they were after your 401k’s i am almost to the point of cashing it out,
I cashed mine out in 2010. Do not regret it. I invested in tangible goods. I am seeing a good return on my investment.
The big question is – how much of that will be laundered back into Congress members pockets, pockets of their largest donors, etc.
versus….
How much actually winds up in poor working and middle class pockets , and small businesses.
They threw out the part that would have helped small food service businesses.
Please stop it already.
“I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents.” James Madison – Annals of Congress, House of Representatives, 3rd Congress, 1st Session, page 170 (1794–01-10)
Stop government theft of citizens and restore the Constitution.
Our Secret Service tracks all of our dollars and with all the relief spending bills that have been passed since Covid started they said $820 billion is missing.
So you can bet most of that Ukraine money will end up in the cookie jar and the politicians we know who have had their hand in the jar are waiting.
Zelenskyy will add to his 1.2 billion he already has stashed in banks around the globe also.
I’d say all and none. My Senator, Roger Wicker vote for the infrastucture bill and I see no evidence whatsoever of any infrastructure work happening.
That’s along the lines of my thinking as well..
I don’t believe anything we are told by Congress or their lapdogs in the media.
It’s getting more and more expensive to make Molotov cocktails.
Lol
You can use Vodka. Preferably Russian
Here..$5.19 Costco, Shell $5.69..regular

Well, FJB, solved the convoy problem.
If this doesn’t make people go ballistic, nothing will.
This Administrations minions keep telling us that the increasing pain will force us to buy electric. I believe that it will force people to buy more guns and ammo…..
One of the commenters stated “the right man is in the Whitehouse “ instead of the previous clown. That’s why Twitter is a sewer because it’s full of morons who believe in Joebama.
This is not big deal! All he has to do is buy an electric semi.
$4.09/gal in southwest OH.
The problem right now with fuel price increases is that they have broken from fundamentals. Speculation or “Wall Street” is driving this increase. Financial markets are broken.
The entire global financial system is ready to collapse. They’ve kicked the can down the road for far too long and now they have to start WWIII, there simply is no other out. Plus, the Great Reset Everything we’ve seen for the last 30 years has led to this. I said before the 2020 election. If the Dems manage to steal this, we are going to war with Russia. People laughed. No one is laughing now. I hate to say this, but things are going to go from bad to worse in the next 6 months, come this August TSHTF.
Here in Melbourne, Fl the cheapest is Sams Club at $4.09. Also, FJB.
Trump says stuff and the fake news goes crazy. Later what Trump said becomes reality, think about all the things Trump has said that have come to pass. Trump said $7 gas under Biden, he also said Biden will cause the worst depression this country has ever seen. He also said we could rebuild the economy once and we can do it again. HANG ON! its going to be a wild ride!
We live in MAGA country Maine gas at 431$ medium grade
¡Excelente!
brent oil spot price = $USD129
April 2021, same benchmark = $USD67
doubled in one year.
fun fact (/s): this is not even the record increase in a 12 month period.
which is to say, IF we are experiencing black swan events (we are), there is every expectation that the former record of driving oil price increases will easily go well over 240 a barrel, brent benchmark in less than 2-6 months from now.
what does that mean to mainstreet USA:
gas mean at the pump: 7-11 dollars a gallon
food prices: up by double from current.
Building materials: quadruple from current.
did you prepare..?

Off topic for this thread, but Nigeria is defaulting on debt and paying in their own currency. Add that to Russia paying in their own currency, and how many other countries are now ditching the dollar? https://africa.businessinsider.com/local/markets/nigerian-companies-may-have-to-pay-dollar-debts-in-naira-due-to-forex-shortage/6zs5lmg
Los Angeles: Regular unleaded hit $6 in a few stations down the street. ARCO was the cheapest at $5.29
Governor
PalsyNewsom saying he’s going to give Californians a tax rebate because the gasoline price is so high.If he just dropped all the California taxes on gas, that would be good, too! That’s $0.67 per gallon.
MORE than that….CA added $0.75/ GALLON in Jan 2020 supposedly for road repair…..NONE of it went to that ofc…they already had over $0.16 cents a gallon at the time based on a % before that with another almost $0.18 federal

That’s in central Oregon….sorry, I forgot to say –
Gas here in Utah now at $4.23/gallon at Costco. Last Sunday, it was $3.69…
Ha. 30 cents in 3 days here in SWFL Filled us th e wife’s car day before yesterday for 4.19.9. Filled up mine yesterday for 4.29.9. Today I drove by and seen it’s 4.39.9 today. Imagine that !

I wonder if they were electric planes?
“Hundreds of DNC members from across the country flew into Washington, DC, this week to attend to party business, including selecting new caucus chairs and nailing down new procedural rules. With the pandemic relegating much of Democratic Party politics to the doldrums of Zoom, members were upbeat at the chance to mingle with their Democrats in person for the first time in two years. But beneath the excitement of hotel bar happy hours, the prospect of a difficult midterm election for their party loomed.” https://africa.businessinsider.com/politics/biden-tells-dnc-that-they-must-deliver-their-economic-message-with-confidence-clarity/ebjwkw8
The economy is about to tank. Pun intended.
“The economy is about to tank” THIS IS THE GOAL! The “Green Deal” is a smoke screen. Fossil fuels bad, is a smoke screen. Like SD says, when you see the strings, you can not unsee them: Obama, Soros, China, Iran, Russia, etc: They are working together. We are at war. We have the natural resources and the American know how to fight back and jam it down their throats!
By causing economic chaos, poverty and class warfare, the communists win. I t then allowas them to swoop in with a plan to take comtrol of everything a provide cradle to grave “security”. This is how they do it. Trump warned us and was ousted in a coup because they feared him.
All Putin’s fault///
Here in Minnesota (87 currently $3.99), the state tax is 28 cents per gallon, and by law it can be used only for highway construction. As discretionary driving starts rapidly to decline, the state will see shrinking revenues at the exact same moment that the cost of petroleum based construction materials for highway projects is climbing. You don’t raise taxes in an election year, so how will the state raise the money to pay for contracts already inked?
Look for states like Minnesota caught up in this squeeze to flood the bond markets … and, of course, to go to DC hat in hand, and beg our lords and ladies for a bit more largesse to keep the ponzi scheme up and running a little bit longer.
Eastern North Carolina – was $3.89 on Tuesday. It is $4.19 today. I only needed a couple of gallons; I’m keeping my car full and don’t let it get down but a couple of gallons before re-filling because my feeling is it is going higher.
Here, we usually travel to a nearby bigger city to shop for clothing, shoes, parts, appliances, gifts, electronics, always stop by a grocery or a barbecue place to bring home a few extras. A friend went shopping yesterday and said that the cost of gas was going to ruin any shopping trips in the future.
Guess the totalitarians will love that we can’t travel as much. Easier to locate.
“Highest Gasoline Prices in History Hit All 50 States”
What are you talking about!!! ???
50 states? Where have you been?
America has 51 states, with Ukraine being about 1,000 times as important as the other 50.
And as far as sovereign borders go, about 1,000,000 times as important as the other 50.
Well, he did say “I believe” instead of “I know”.
That belief is mired in all that creamy pudding somewhere in that skull of his.
I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows.
I believe Joe needs another nap.
Diesel in central NC. Today I saw a low of $5.09 and a high of $5.60
OC in CA, $7/gallon regular. I filled the tank today, it was 70 dollars. What a shocker!
Trying really hard not to be mad at family and friends that voted for Biden just becaused they hated Trump, not room to think about what was best for their own country.
Now we have Nuland “f#ck the EU we go ahead” in charge, another war this time in Europe, inches away from WWIII, food shortages…
Wait ’til they unleash the next virus….
How many weeks has it been since the Olympians returned home?
Keep the receipts and send everybody a mock expense report. Jokingly, of course.
In Los Angeles County, we paid $4.99 for the cheapest regular a few days ago. Today we saw it for $5.49 at a different station nearby. 😠
I paid $4.359 yesterday for regular unleaded.
Remember the late 70s when the pumps could only go up to $.999? They all had to be replaced before prices hit a dollar.
I’m not a computerized gas pump expert but I don’t think the current ones can support $10 gas.
I guess with calibration they could just sell it by the 1/2 gallon or by the quart.
The Canadians sell gas by the liter.
I remember the DISPLAYED price would not go above $1.00 but they added $1 stickers to the pump glass
Shrinkflation?
Actually, were I worked in high school at a Boron service station (Standard Oil of Ohio in PA ) when the price went above $1.00 we sold it by the half gallon until the pumps could be upgraded to charge over a dollar. If the pump read $5 .00 the actual charge was $10.00.
I also remember when Carter went for the windfall profits tax. Sohio owned the Alaskan pipeline so they were regulated on how much they could charge for their gasoline because so much of it was refined from domestic crude oil. The result was long lines and allocations at each station as Boron’s 94 Octane premium gasoline cost less than other companies, who imported petroleum, 87 octane gasoline. In 1979 we stopped pumping gas around noon when our daily allocation was exhausted.
And then there were the odd-even sales days.
Nothing has changed with these people and their policies. Everything they touch turns to shit.
TTTHand, i recall listening to a rural Kentucky woman rail years ago about how “the government needs yo do something about prices”.
Our government schools have time to teach about race and oppression, but no time to teach reading, arithmetic, geography, and basic economics.
As in, price controls and rationing create shortages, black markets and mafia workarounds. This should be common knowledge and because our “experts” have $$it for brains, few understand
I just recently traveled from Tennessee at $2.99 ($3/gallon) to Georgia, and onward to Florida.
By the time I left Florida to return home, regular gas at Florida pumps was $4.49 ($4.50/gallon).
Signs along the interstate showed $4.19/gallon in Georgia, but when pumping the price was actually higher.
Guess this will depress the hospitality industry of Florida (probably part of the Biden plan).
I wanted to live a quiet stable life. This “leadership” sure doesn’t benefit the non-wealthy
$5.75 this evening in Marin County, CA. And that is at one of the cheapest stations in the area.
One of the most Libtard Couties in the State. Libtards are feeling the pain. The trouble is we do too.
They are wealthy. Most won’t feel it. The people who will feel the pain are the lowest income workers… single income families who have to drive to get to work.
My mom had a neighbor, a single mom, who once came to her door to beg $10 until next payday. The elementary school was selling coupon books for $10 apiece and shaming the children who did not buy, so she blew her budget to save face for her children. However this meant she could not buy gas to get to work.
She repaid mom within two weeks. But the stress for this woman was phenomenal.
Thanks Jen Psaki
But it’s gonna take 10 dollars a gallon at least before the majority of the upper middle start really hurting enough to take this all seriously.
However, those less fortunate the elderly single parents are gonna starve end up on the streets.
5.69 central ca.
Miami…topped off yesterday, She’ll, 4.79.9.
I have always been one of those people that rarely lets my gas get below a half a tank. Now I am refilling at 3/4 tank full.
Cheapest in my area of so. cal is $4.99.9, although that was a day ago. May be more today. Coronado hit $5.99.9 today. Andy Rooney on an old 60 minutes did a spoof on the .9 cent tacked onto a gallon of gas. He told the attendant he wanted exactly one gallon of gas. The attendant said he would give $1.00 worth at that time. Rooney said no, I want exactly one gallon and I want my change. Don’t remember the entire monolog from that episode, but Rooney made it pretty amusing.
West Hollywood is Schiffy’s district, so, everyone there is feeling very good about paying more for gasoline and begging for higher prices.
The most expensive stations here in Santa Barbara are now pushing $7/gal. I hope all the Biden voters are enjoying this.
My son decided to start walking to his private Christan high school this we after he filled his the tank in his car.
Western KY:
Truck Stops -4.99 to 5.45 for diesel
Regular stations-4.89 to 4.99 for diesel
Regular gasoline -3.89 to 4.19
Jumped 90 cents in 24 hours the day of the fire at the nuclear plant.
Came back down the next day.
I sure do miss President Trump.
I said it it after the fraudulent election people will be begging for Trump.
If they are alive to beg
Along with the rest of us
Delusional behaviors have consequences
Insane corrupt leadership has consequences.
If the wages of sin are death, the consequences of handing over leadership roles to unqualified leaders is no different from “sin”.
Some people (Jewish traditions) describe “sin” as “missing the target”. Our virtue signalling educated populace does not understand cause and effect
The one gas station I go by was actually ten cents cheaper today than it was yesterday.
Central tx…filled up tues for $3.69, today it was 3.99
And I’m guessing by end of weekend will be over $4/gal
$4.50 last Sunday when I topped off the tank. 30 miles north of downtown Seattle.
Drove by the same station today. $4.95.
Just for kicks I might drive by again tomorrow or Saturday.
You still drive “just for kicks?” I’m thinking of getting a bicycle so I can do the same.

Central MA, $4.29-$4.69. A couple of days ago, the price jumped 20 cents in two hours. I filled up my RAV4 on Wednesday. The tank wasn’t empty yet it cost me $49. Heating oil is $4.89/gal. I pre-paid for 400 gallons in September for $3.09/gal. Sundance, thanks for the head’s up early on.
Thank heavens 7 years ago under Obama’s prices, I got rid of my oil heat and went to a heat pump. Coldest winter months were costing $500. I can’t imagine what it would be now.
I have friends and neighbors who are paying well over twice that in one month these days (central PA).
We used to buy propane in the summer (1000-2000 gal) for a 30 to 40 cent discount.
They would deliver it as we needed it. It worked out pretty nice and we saved a fair amount of money.
The scary part — the worst is yet to come — and that enfeebled old dolt and the cackling hen are hosting the show.
Pontotoc, Mississippi, gas on Monday was $3.53 for regular. Today when I filled up its up to $3.99. We don’t usually do a lot of driving but this is my husbands medical appointment season up in Memphis. Over the next month we make 5 trips up there which is a tank of gas each trip. I am thankful we are no longer in California.
I just laughed out loud when one of the USA Today headlines said
Gas still under $4 a gallon in 12 states
Yeaaaaa, under 4 dollars a gallon. It should have had in parentheses (but not for long)
Diesel here in western Colorado was highest at $4.19 last week with several around $3.95-4.00
Gasbuddy shows nothing below $4.44 today.
Suburb of Chicago. Last week 3.69. Yesterday 4.40. Today 4.58.
LA near me I just saw diesel at $6.70.
I am going to self-quarantine.
15 days to slow the price.
We are all in this together. The first time was just a drill…
Joliet 4.59 yesterday, Urbana 4.52 the day before
