According to the Associated Press, the CDC is likely to strongly loosen their mask guidance tomorrow, dropping the recommendation that masks should be worn indoors. That said, I’m not sure how many places even have a mask wearing policy any longer.

Here in Southern NJ (Ocean County) other than in medical offices, I rarely see anyone wearing a mask. Starbucks and Target employees tend to wear them (under the nose).
El Paso, Texas is a democrat city and the people are terrified of Covid. I go to any store and my husband and I are the only ones with our face showing. It is crazy! The other parts of Texas are the opposite.
Gonna be interesting going forward. Billy Gates seemed bummed out Omicron spread natural immunity faster than he could with his magical jabs. It’s really hard to say what happens next with Covid. Will it continue to attenuate or revert backwards. Natural says the former but this is anything but this is man made. Starting to even come thru in the MSM. Daily Mail had a story Moderna’s patent 2017 contained the same genetic sequence as the virus. A 3 trillion to 1 odds admitted in the story.
One thing is certain to me. The way Omicron went after the vax’d was no accident. Ignore the data and crap you have heard. This is a big reason, perhaps the biggest, Covid is getting forgotten about. That is an example of antibody dependent enhancement (ADE). If a stronger variant somehow reassembles I believe the proof already exists the vax’d are going to be in real trouble. They may be already from other issues but that’s too early to call and still too many unknowns. That’s the thing with experiments.
Gates really gave the game away by saying “sadly” about the fact that Omicron is indeed a natural “vaccine.” Big competition for the ones he’s stealing his $$ from.

Given that many are still masking in my conservative western NC county, I was surprised to learn last week that Democrat governor Cooper had allowed the state’s mask mandate to expire last July (I’ve never masked except in medical offices). Apparently localities were allowed to require them if they so desired. Mecklenburg County, home of liberal Charlotte, was a holdout until they announced last week that, despite the objection of their “health” commissioner, the mask mandate would be lifted this Friday.
I still see businesses with mask “mandate” signs on their doors – and medical offices of course – and the only reason I can think of for this is that national brand HQ lawyers are still insisting on it. Of course, for regular folks still masking, there aren’t many good excuses . To me, the people who should be most embarrassed/ashamed of this continuing lunacy are the doctors.
We are not masked in California! Although many still choose to wear them. I feel so much better with out and hope others will do the same soon.

I’m in north shore Nassau County NY. There people here who will mask and double-mask for the rest of their natural lives, although most are maskless. The mask mandate was dropped in NY a couple of weeks ago, but I still see a lot of employees in stores and restaurants masking up. Not sure if it’s a personal choice or not. Masks still have to be worn in health care settings like doctor’s offices and hospitals.
Schools are on vacation this week and supposedly they will revisit the issue next week, but we will see. The Teacher’s Union runs this state so whatever they say usually goes, and they want to mask forever. But it’s a real political liability for the communists now, so they may have no choice but to relent. Personally, I haven’t worn a mask since last winter, and I won’t wear one again. Ever.
I don’t understand why so many teachers want the masks to stay. I taught for 35 years in an urban district and I can’t imagine most of the teachers I worked with ever going along with this. Many of us were conservative, even the democrat-voting ones.
Are the teachers today not educated? Well, maybe that’s it. College was different when I went through.
All I know is I loved my students and would never want to see them hurt by these mandates. I’d probably be fired by now I guess.

What I want to end is the vaxx crap. I am getting letters to remind me that I need to get my vaxx. I want the denial of family members not being allowed in to visit their sick loved one stopped. I have extended family in ICU and they won’t let anyone in to visit. Makes the blood boil.
Rural area, very few here wear masks in public, go into city and more people tend to wear them, but the numbers are coming down. People don’t seem to spit up their hairballs over the people not wearing a mask like they used to. The mask wearers seem to have accepted there are those of us that are not going to do it so they have stopped shooting eye daggers w/the horrified SMH nonsense. Many stores still require employees to wear masks, others allow the employees to wear their masks hanging from their ear, under their nose, or down under the chin.
I was getting a resident up for breakfast in her room and her tv was on as usual. A commercial came on saying the vax was safe and effective. Burger King is not the only place that sells Whoppers; so do some of the local tv channels in my area.
We still have to wear the N-95 mask where I work. Mine usually gets crammed in my pockets because my glasses get steamed up. It’s hard to breathe while charting and working with residents while wearing that stupid mask.

Sadly I live in CA where they have vax mandates and still require masks. These are hateful and bigoted. They are destroying the economy and have destroyed a generation of children. Destruction that falls disproportionally on the poor which is mostly latino in this state. But the white Karens do not care.
It really depends on the county. We haven’t worn masks for a very long time. Many people wear them, because they want to, I guess… but you can go into CVS and ignore the sign ( Actually, I think they took it down ) and no one will bother you.
We don’t have too many Karens… our Karens are in the HOA and they are more concerned about the color of your house than masks.

I’m in SE AL and yep people still wearing them. Mostly poc and the elderly. I see young kids with them on, I think they really enjoy it. I don’t know why the young ones enjoy wearing them so much. There’s a certain satisfaction walking maskless in Los Angeles, but seeing everyone else in them gets to you. I drive outside LA for everything. I have a few local safe spots for food where nobody cares about masks but I shop in simi valley and dine in OC.
I’ve only been confronted a few times for not wearing a mask, but I’m to the point now where I’d wear a mask the rest of my life if it meant everyone else would stop.
Here in Wisco, it’s “county by county” mask mandate…..crazy libbers in Dane Co (Madison capitol) are “letting it expire” on 2/28 (insert eyeroll) while the Madison School district has “extended” it for ALL students. I am in a bordering county North of Dane and haven’t had an “enforced” mandate although in the county’s own building here “requires” them–I go in and deliver eggs to 2 different county office areas –never put a mask on–and not one of the county employees says a word nor are they wearing one. The school district in the city I live in just went to “masks optional at the parents discretion” but yet the next town 15 miles to our West has NEVER had a mask mandate for their students (my dtr is a teacher there) nor any vaccine requirement. None of the stores in our area/county require masks–my local credit union has a “mask required” note on the door but I have Never worn one (and many of the other customers are maskless as well)—should note that the tellers HAVE to wear them and they are behind plexiglass as well—totally useless!!

Some interesting observations. Went to a children’s music recital in Birmingham, AL. Most of the people in the small venue wore masks. Only 3 of us did not. Upper income liberal parents of the musicians. In Walmart, I saw about 10% of customers wearing masks. Lots of masks at Publix, maybe 2/3rds of customers.
In my area, central Atlantic coast, it is somewhat racially divided. Most whites and younger blacks do not wear masks. Middle age and older blacks almost always wear masks. Some older whites wear masks.
Here in southeast PA most storea still have their employees wearing face diapers. It’s pathetic.

In north TX, very few have worn masks for quite some time. Large stores require employees to wear them. The only exception are medical facilities which are required by the TX Dept of Health. G0v Abbott is nothing like Gov Desantis.

I live in a small town in northeastern North Carolina. Unless you visit a medical office, there are no mask requirements and only a few of the brainwashed still wear them. My wife attended a lecture here last week and she said that other tjan the speaker, almost no one wore a mask.
In a red state. I don’t ever wear a mask, but I do wear my “Let’s go Brandon” hat everywhere I go. I get the occasional compliment.
Interesting you should ask. I was just forced to resign my pharmacist position at a medium sized hospital in East Texas for refusing to wear a mask. They follow CDC guidelines, or at least half heartedly.
I decided I could no longer be used as a propaganda tool to spread fear and their authoritarian dictates, especially when they don’t work and are causing harm.
More and more experts are sounding the alarm over the harm done to toddler by keeping them in a hypoxic state which some believe can cause permanent neurological damage as well as delaying their ability to speak properly.

Wearing the masks only makes them uglier, in my opinion. Those of us who care about our appearance find wearing a mask to suppress that natural instinct in a woman. Maybe it’s yet another psych-control angle of the evildoers.
This was one of the reasons that instead of a mask, when required throughout the first half of 2020 just to buy sustenance, I wore a plastic face shield instead. It was challenged but only rarely, because people were mostly too ignorant to know whether it was “accepted” or not.
Even at my advanced age I still have a good smile that I hate to hide.

Here in the Peoples Republic of Dane County, WI a mask mandate was renewed Feb 1, 2022 and is due to expire Mar 1. Democrats control all levels of goverment so control will be given up reluctantly. For example masks will still be required on public transportation and the public health director has warned that just because the mandate is ending doesn’t mean that the pandemic is over.
I wear a mask because of significant comorbidity and compromised immune system. For this reason I will probably continue even if the mandate is lifted. Don’t assume everyone seen wearing a mask in indoor public settings is doing so out of blind compliance.
Lose the mask. Follow the FLCCC prophylactic protocol. It’s much, much more effective than a mask and will help build your immune system at the same time.
Out here in North/East Texas, the closer you are to the big city, the more masks you see. In rural areas, even in most suburbs, hardly anyone wears or requires them anymore.
People all over the medical field are still being required to wear masks and take covid tests every day. If you test positive at my workplace, then you keep testing until you get a negative, and then the earlier positives are declared “faulty tests.” Which is true of course, but the managers aren’t supposed to just own-up to their silly BS like that. They’re supposed to give us a week off so we can interview for other jobs.
My company currently has a nationwide mask and testing mandate for unjabbed employees who are back in the office. They know who is unjabbed because we are federal contractors, and we’re required to provide proof or request an accommodation.
I am 100% remote, so it doesn’t affect me, but it does affect some of my coworkers. I think they’d be very relieved to drop the masks and testing.
I went to a school board meeting two weeks ago. I was the only one without mask. Now where we live 90% of these people at the school board meeting with go massless everywhere else.

Every time my kids ride the school bus they have to mask. They’ve become optional in class. At after school care they make my oldest kid mask while he’s in the same room as my youngest unmasked. My oldest is on the spectrum, breaks my heart and pisses me off to no end. I have to wear a mask to walk in to daycare, school, doctors office. Everywhere else I ignore the signs. I wear the same gaiter every time and wash it occasionally. But Im fortunate that I don’t have to work in public and wear it. Id say 80% of the people around here don’t wear them if they don’t have to. 90% mask free outdoors.

I heard something about school busses being regulated under Federal Transportation department or something like that. Until the Feds drop their mask mandates on busses, there’s nothing local districts can do. And since they have the threat of losing federal $$$, they comply.
