Joe Biden informed Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi that he intends to extend the federal National Emergency declaration beyond its termination date in March. [STATUTE HERE]
By statute the State of a National Emergency expires one year after initial declaration. That meant the COVID National Emergency declaration was scheduled to end March 1st. However, the statute allows the extension if the executive office informs the legislative branch within the 90-day window prior to expiration.
Biden informed Nancy Pelosi today of his intent to extend the National Emergency. Both the House and Senate will now have to schedule a vote to support the extension [SEE HERE]:
WHITE HOUSE – Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)) provides for the automatic termination of a national emergency unless, within 90 days prior to the anniversary date of its declaration, the President publishes in the Federal Register and transmits to the Congress a notice stating that the emergency is to continue in effect beyond the anniversary date.
In accordance with this provision, I have sent to the Federal Register for publication the enclosed notice stating that the national emergency declared in Proclamation 9994 of March 13, 2020, beginning March 1, 2020, concerning the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, is to continue in effect beyond March 1, 2022.
There remains a need to continue this national emergency. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause significant risk to the public health and safety of the Nation. More than 900,000 people in this Nation have perished from the disease, and it is essential to continue to combat and respond to COVID-19 with the full capacity and capability of the Federal Government.
Therefore, I have determined that it is necessary to continue the national emergency declared in Proclamation 9994 concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. (read)

I’m against joining “militias” after what we’ve seen from our corrupt Department of unJustice and FIB the past few years. Getting trained and practicing with buddies, being less formal on purpose, is important during this time where there’s a spy for the government seemingly everywhere. OPSEC is critical. You don’t necessarily need a tax “lawyer”, depends upon your investments. A good CPA or tax/financial advisor, which I have, is helpful. My simple rule is to minimize cash holdings, invest in tangibles (home and land with infrastructure), plan a small home based business. If you can “retire” from a regular job, financially speaking, that’s a bonus. It’s going to look different for everyone depending upon what stage of life, responsibilities, needs, etc.

An interesting idea on how to take back citizen control is the “Bonds for the win” movement.
Evidently many public servants must put up a bond in order to serve.
It is possible to file a claim against these bonds if the public servants are not properly performing their duties.
I think this was on the Glenn Beck radio show, but it’s also on YouTube.
I believe almost all public officials are subject to these bonds, like mayors and school board members. The bond companies are very picky about bonding public servants who have claims against them. From what I understand, the public officials themselves are liable sort of like when an individual jumps bail.
Regular members of the public can file claims against rogue officials.
I think it would be a very useful and peaceful tool to reclaim the authority of We the People.

I don’t agree that we the people have done nothing. There is plenty of evidence proving otherwise, some of which has been posted on this site for many years. The problem is actually that the bad guys had a head start while Americans WERE asleep, then said bad guys betrayed, steamrollered, and cheated the people. Now that we know the Capitol Police take their orders from Nancy Pelosi, I don’t understand why US Truckers (if they really are planning a protest) would go there. Why not go to every trucker’s own state capital or to the southern border to kill 2 birds with one stone? They will receive better treatment in Texas and Arizona than DC. New Mexico and California would likely go “Trudeau” on them.

For too long our states (governors and state legislatures, attorneys general, state secretaries of state, sheriff, etc) have exchanged their power for government tax $$$. In short, they’ve been selling out their people for money.
We need our governors et al, to read the constitution (state and federal), UNDERSTAND and BELIEVE it, and REASSERT the power our Founders gave to the states. No constitutional convention needed; simply take back what was stolen (or given away for $$). If the states don’t do this, the people themselves are DUTY BOUND to do so, and the Founders left us provision to do just that.
If we knew our history and our founding documents, we wouldn’t be where we are today……

Please, read the book, ask your elected officials to do the same.
Call them out on it at a public meeting if you have, and especially if they said they would, and ask them some pointed specific questions. When they cannot answer correctly, embarrass them.
If they do answer correctly, ask why they have not opposed a specific unconstitutional or immoral law.
If necessary, tell them they no longer have your support and walk out of the meeting. Good to have the meeting packed with folks who will get up over a 10 to 20 second period and walk out with you.

I agree. The solution is not to go back a decade. It is to go back to the founding, and this time never allow the central government to decide it is the authority over the states.
A strike is a great idea but fascist corporations inured to the government own too much of the trucking industry and bodies are easy to replace whether that be from them quitting or being killed. Have you ever drove a tractor trailer it damn sure isn’t like driving a car or truck. It takes about 3 months to train someone to drive it properly and usually a few transmissions before they get the hang of it. It is a hard demanding job and you are gone from your family for weeks at a time, its not for everyone and most that train don’t last but a few weeks to months knowing a second away is death. Its not for everybody and trying to fill the gap will get a lot of people killed.
Automation and automatic transmissions have eased the particulars of the skill set but it’s still nothing like driving a four-wheeler, plus the responsibility of the load/weight and the death and carnage that can result. That runaway truck in Colorado comes to mind. That driver survived the couple dozen vehicles taken out but four of his victims didn’t.
Still, Mr. ’emergency’ Biden will see to it some Afghans and Mexicans fill those driver’s seats, if need be, with minimal training and, you know, the government covering for them. Expect it.
And yes, I’ve driven box trucks and oilfield rigs and hauled heavy agricultural equipment and learned on a five speed with two speed rear end and splitting shifts in my teens back in the early 70’s. Today’s trucks are nothing like that. They’re like Cadillacs in comparison.

Many pundits have been speculating that the SOTU would be used to declare victory over COVID, especially given the pullback we’ve seen in blue states these past few weeks. This could still be the case but this move casts doubt on it.
If indeed the administration had intended at one point to ease restrictions, I think its natural authoritarian instincts may have been encouraged and reignited by an external globalist force, i.e. the example of Crime Minister Trudy to our north. I think your point is well taken. However, I see Soleimani’s demise differently. He was murdering many innocent. This was war, and his demise was a self defense measure IMO. I know about Phil H. – I’ve read his interviews and know his story. However, if we do like our enemies do, and start killing, we have then succumbed to the deception of becoming like them. I read a story once about a woman who killed her violent domestic abusive husband. She bludgeoned him in bed. At the trial, the judge was compassionate toward her, but said that her husband’s life was not hers to take. That’s what we need to remember, and what the lessons of Germany’s history should teach us; each life does not belong to man, whether man believes in God or not. All human life belongs to God, not man. As such, it is not up to any human to decide who should live or die or for how long. God alone retains that authority.

Then Portland was burning weekly if not daily for months on end. Anyone remember that, and the revolving door for all the arsonists and other criminals?

WHY is this still an emergency, we have been living here in south east ga. just like we always have. No masks no shots, there have been a few deaths but everyone I knew had underlying conditions with the biggest being diabetes. The states that are open are doing fine while the lock down states with draconian measures in place are dying. Down here in SW fl. , things are pretty much back to normal. Can’t speak for the more populated areas ( which are mostly run by more liberal policies) but many county sherrifs have warned criminals that many residents have guns and they support law and order. It just gets so frustrating watching what goes on a national and world level. Desantis really has used real and commonsence science and solutions to keep this state open and economically strong. We need more than just desantis and fl. One question I have is in Texas could a stronger administration done more to seal off the border ? It just seems like a lot of talk and not enough enforcement.
